Felicity was shocked at the burnt-out husk that was Star City. And she looked out in the city from the top floor of the federal Time Bureau building. Seeing her own skyscraper with her name on it in the distance.
But Oliver was dead; he has been for over twenty years sacrificed himself for the whole Multiverse. Was this the future she was fighting for where most meta-humans were locked up?
Honestly, only her daughter's existence allowed her to go along with this. Every bone in her body was telling her this was wrong. Her conscience was at war with her maternal instincts.

Sara presses the button opening 3 time portals at three different locations within time Bureau's headquarters. Conner whispers to his sister "Olivia, everything we have fought and trained for comes to fruition today. You ready sis" Olivia nodded. Knowing it would be her who would have to defeat Mia.
Oliver, Laurel, and Thea silently work their way through disabling the Bureau's internal security system using a program apparently developed by William in the future.
While Sara and Emiko made their presence known rather quickly. Drawing attention away from the others as a mother-daughter team caused hell to break loose in the lobby of the building.
Sara smiled watching her daughter easily take out agent after agent. Meanwhile, Sara was struggling a bit realizing she was getting a bit old for this type of work. Finding she could no longer handle three opponents at once. Emiko eventually had to come to her mother's aid.
"Hello, Mia this ends today," Olivia announced, engaging her half-sister. Meanwhile, Connor, plugging in Williams's program went to work to put a permanent end to the Time Bureau's operations.
"Come on Will, let's see how good you really are," Connor said to himself as he engaged a couple of time agents. Continue to keep them away from the computers for the program to do its work. No one should have this much power. The Time Bureau had become just as corrupt as the Old Time Masters were.
Felicity could only watch from the sidelines as her daughter engaged Laurel's daughter in close hand-to-hand combat. It came clear rather quickly Mia had the advantage, beating back Olivia at every turn.
"Ollie, here it is disabling this. Will allow me and Olivia to use our cries" "Well you two better get at it" Thea announced as the time agents begin to get the upper hand with sheer numbers.
By this time Sara and Emiko had seized control of the Lobby completing their part of the mission. Dead sealing the door so no outside help could get in. Sara smiled. "Apparently Oliver and Laurel completed their part of the mission too" hearing the unique sound of Laurel's cry.
Thea shrugged her shoulders so much for being outnumbered. Laurel's cry taking out twenty men leaving them on conscience. "Nice work, Petty bird" Oliver said without thinking, giving Laurel a quick peck on the cheek.
While Mia had disarmed Olivia. Standing over her sword at her throat. "It's over Olivia, from here I can wipe the memories of everyone in the building. Once I finish you and your brother I will dispose of your mother"
"No!" Felicity suddenly screamed. "This is wrong murder is wrong. Mia stand down now! I'm your mother you will obey" Felicity stomped her feet. The distraction was just going enough for Olivia to roll free.
"Come on Mom and Dad" she mumbled before attempting a cry. It worked, sending Mia slamming against the wall. "Conner, is Will's program working?" Connor nodded. "It's taking longer than we suspected"
Olivia nodded. As she turned to Felicity "Thank you" she whispered. Acknowledging the fact if it wasn't for her she would be dead right now her throat would be slit.
Suddenly Oliver Laurel and Thea burst into the room "Is it over" Laurel asked. Just as a white light engulfed Mia's body. Felicity along with Oliver rusted to their daughter's side. Felicity was hysterical watching her daughter being erased from existence. "I'm so sorry Mia. I couldn't watch you kill your sister I just couldn't" Oliver too broke down.
Yes, she was the enemy but she was still his daughter. His heart broke, letting one child die for the lives of three others. But it was more than that it was the future of the entire city and the entire Multiverse. The fact was with Laurel by his side they had defeated the anti-monitor. Preserving much of the Multiverse. The lines of trillions upon trillions outweigh the life of one.
"Mia I'm so sorry but it had to be done. The lives of trillions" Mia spatted back at her father "I hate you. You always make a selfless choice. You and Laurel putting others above yourselves. What about me, don't you care about me?"
Laurel turned away. Unable to look at the young woman before her. She wasn't wrong either but she wasn't right. But trillions and trillions are at stake. Mia wasn't meant to exist; outside forces had pushed Oliver and Felicity together; they were never meant to be; they couldn't be if the Multiverse was to be saved.

"It's over," Oliver said as Mia fully disappeared. He then turned to Felicity attempting to comfort her only to be pushed away. "Oliver, no! Just go I never want to see you again my daughter is gone because of you she will never exist because you always put the city first above yourself and I just go"
"Sara, I want to go home," Felicity asked. Sara nodded and opened a portal to in 2016. With that Felicity walk through without saying another word.
Oliver turned to his children "So it's all over the Time Bureau is finished right?" Connor answered "Yes they're finished. Williams' program destroyed their capability of time-travel completely. Only Sara's team aboard the Waverider will be allowed time travel excluding speedsters from here on out"
Oliver nodded. "I would love to go home now." "I would too," Laurel added, taking Oliver's hand. At that moment a streak of purple entered the room "Connie and Liv you did it!" Nora pronounced loudly.
"Just look," Nora added. They all looked out the window at the city beyond. Star City was no longer this hellscape it was when they arrived. It was replaced by a thriving Metropolis with the Queen Consolidated building standing tall as a Beacon of Hope for the city.
