"SHAWSHANK!"

Beca couldn't believe her eyes. Standing before her was the last person she expected to meet. "Amy? How the? What? How are you not dead!?"

"Now that just hurts captain," Amy said as she worked her way toward Beca. "To think that I've been telling everyone that you're still alive and here you are thinking I would be the first one to croak."

Bella gave Amy a questioning look and moved to hide behind Beca. Amy glanced at the monkey and raised an eyebrow at Beca. "This your new boy toy or something? I know it's slim pickings these days Becs but even I wouldn't cross that line."

Beca's jaw dropped, here they were fending off an undead horde and Amy was accusing her of beastiality. "What! No Amy, just no! This is Bella, she's my friend."

Amy looked back at the monkey and shrugged, she moved forward and managed to lift the bike off of Beca. Beca slid out from under the bike and Amy hit the kick stand to keep it from falling back down. Once that was done she reached down and helped Beca to her feet. Beca tried to stand but her right leg gave out and she started to fall. Amy caught her and threw one of Beca's arms around her shoulders and together they hobbled towards the shattered window.

"I went to the house." Beca said as they worked their way through the store. "I thought you were all dead." Beca's voice was laced with a mixture of relief and concern.

"Uh-err ya, about that...that was all Legacy's fault. Yup I knew we shouldn't have let her play with matches." Amy lied. Beca looked down at the flamethrower strapped to the blonde's back and knew that if anyone had set the house on fire it was Amy. They made their way through the window and Beca was shocked to see Lilly standing there, chopping through any zombie that got too close.

"Lilly?" The quiet girl decapitated a corpse and turned to see Beca hobbling towards her. Lilly rushed forward and grabbed Beca in a tight hug. Beca was shocked, Lilly was even less into hugs than she was, but she hugged Lilly just as tight. They separated and Lilly went back to protecting them. "Is Chl-everyone else alive?"

Amy caught the slip and grinned at her small friend. Leave it to Beca to wait for an apocalypse to finally acknowledge her toner. "Ya shortstack. Everyone's fine, well sort of but that's another story. Legacy tried to pick a fight with a bear." Beca's eyebrows shot up her forehead and Amy laughed. "I'll explain later, right now we need to get you out of here."

They started moving through the significantly depleted horde but stopped when Beca started struggling. "Wait, where's Bella?" The three looked around but couldn't see the monkey anywhere. That is until Lilly pointed back towards the bike still inside the store. Sure enough Bella was sitting on top of the bike in an alert stance staring at Beca. "Shit. Lilly do you think you could go back and grab the bike and the stupid monkey?"

Lilly nodded and headed back into the store. Amy and Beca kept making their way towards the jeep still sitting in front of the pharmacy. They heard the sound of the motorcycle engine revving and a second later Lilly zoomed past them with Bella clinging to her shoulder. Eventually they made it to the jeep and Lilly helped Amy put Beca in the back seat. Bella jumped off Lilly's shoulder and curled up in Beca's lap.

"What the heck were you thinking? Why didn't you just follow me?" Beca asked but all she got was a squeak from her furry friend. Amy climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine. Lilly turned the bike's siren back on and led any stragglers away from the jeep. Amy steered the car in the opposite direction and pulled the radio from her pocket.

"Oye, Aubrey, hope you bitches got what we need 'cause we got to go." Amy released the button and waited for a response.

"Copy that Amy we're on our way out." Aubrey's voice filtered through the radio and Beca couldn't help but laugh. She never thought that she would be grateful to hear Posen's voice.

"Be there in a minute captain, Amy out." Amy put the radio back and raced off towards the blood bank.

Beca held Bella close to her chest, she never did trust Amy's driving. "You're not going to tell them I'm here?"

"Of course not. Where would be the fun in that?" Amy took a sharp turn and Beca winced as it put pressure on her injured leg.

"Knowing Aubrey, she'll probably puke." Beca joked and Amy went to make a joke but settled for nodding in agreement. They stopped outside a building and Amy let the car idle. They could hear Lilly off in the distance, the siren still blaring down the empty streets. Beca slowly stroked Bella's fur to help keep the monkey calm. They sat there waiting for a few minutes before suddenly Aubrey and Flo came bursting out of the front door. They made their way over to the car and jumped in, Flo in the back and Aubrey riding shotgun.

Beca sat there for a second waiting to see if her friends would recognize her. Flo glanced over at Beca and then faced the front again. Then her head slowly turned back around, her breath caught in her throat and her jaw dropped open.

"Beca?"

Beca raised a hand and gave Flo a little wave, "Hi." Flo lunged across the backseat and tackled Beca in a hug. Bella let out a screech and jumped out of Beca's lap to move to her shoulder. Flo leaned back and just stared at her long lost friend, she looked a little thinner than the last time Flow saw her and her hair was longer but it was definitely Beca.

"Where have you been? What took you so long?" Flo asked.

"Oh you know killing zombies, fighting off a biker gang. The usual." Beca had to hold back a laugh when Flo's face scrunched up at the biker gang comment. Beca turned her head to look in the passenger seat to see Aubrey staring back at her. "Did you miss me Posen?"

Aubrey's face went through a parade of emotions, ranging from shock to relief and finally settling on anger. She reached back and slapped Beca's leg as hard as she could, causing the brunette to jump in her seat.

"Hey, what the hell? Is this how you treat all your presumed dead friends?" Beca rubbed the leg Aubrey slapped, unfortunately it was the injured one.

"That's for making my best friend worried sick for the past two months." Aubrey said as she turned back around. She crossed her arms and let out an over emphasized huff. Amy started the car and they shot down the road.

Beca's face scrunched up in worry. "Is Chloe okay? She's not hurt is she?" She directed the question at Aubrey but when the blonde refused to turn around Flo answered.

"She's fine Beca. Everyone is fine, well except Emily but Chloe made sure she'd live so really there's nothing to worry about."

Beca let out a relieved breath. After two months on the road she would have been devastated if something had happened to Chloe and Beca hadn't been there to protect her. Not that Chloe really needed to be protected but Beca would rather die than have anything bad happen to the redhead.

Amy steered the jeep through the wrecked cars that littered the road and the three other girls tried to keep themselves from getting tossed out of the vehicle. They caught sight of Lilly a few times through alleyways and across streets. They couldn't make out the girl herself but the police bike was making enough light and noise that it was hard not to notice. Any time they could make out their friend they also got a view of the large amount of undead chasing after her.

Lilly was moving fast enough that the slow regular zombies were unable to keep up. But the faster "stalker" zombies were hot on her tail. Lilly would serve from one side of the road to the other trying to keep them off her back. The crowded city streets were not helping her escape but Lilly was an expert driver and managed to stay one step ahead. As she ducked past another wrecked car she managed to get a glance behind her. There were dozens of undead chasing after her and Lilly decided it was time to disappear. By now her friends should have made it clear of the city, and if not they should at least have a clear road ahead of them.

Lilly ducked down an alley and listened as the stalkers fumbled over themselves to race after her. She rushed out of the alley and flicked off the siren, she then took a quick turn and disappeared down another alley. In one quick move she had managed to ditch most of her pursuers. There were still six stragglers left, but she could handle them easily enough. She weaved her way through the streets and when she had enough distance between her and the closest zombie she spun the bike around and charged.

She drew her katana with her right hand and as the first zombie grew closer she used the momentum of her bike and the strength of her deceptively small arms to cleave the zombie in half at the waist. The next corpse was on her left so she shifted her right arm around to wing the blade upward, cutting the zombie's head clean from its body. The third undead charged straight at her so Lilly shifted the bike to slide close to the ground and let the corpse sail harmlessly over the top of her. She spun the bike in a tight circle to right herself and regain her balance. The zombie that had gone over her and managed to impale itself in the front windshield of one of the abandoned cars. With only three zombies left Lilly was feeling rather proud of herself. But, never one to let herself get overconfident, she sat there and waited for the zombies to come to her. Only they never did, the three crawled around on all fours for about a minute before they collectively ran away.

Lily sat there in shock, the zombies had never run away before. They had always acted as mindless beasts and the fact that the three in front of her had run away was very concerning. Lilly pondered what her next move should be but before she could take any action her radio sparked to life.

"Lilly, we're clear of the city. Break off and rendezvous at the gas station." Aubrey's voice spurred her into action and Lilly turned her back on the strange phenomenon. She'd be able to think about it later when she wasn't surrounded by death. She clicked the radio twice, signaling that she had gotten the message, and sped off to meet at the designated location. A half hour later she pulled up next to the jeep where she found Beca trapped in a Fat Amy bear hug.

"Amy...Can't...Breath!" Beca gasped from inside the hug. She did not come all this way just to die from asphyxiation by best friend. But Amy wasn't about to let go, despite all her blustering the blonde had been incredibly worried about her friend. And now that they were safe she was going to make up for the two month separation. After another minute Aubrey stepped in and separated Beca and Amy.

"As heart warming as this is, we really need to go. Emily needs the supplies." Aubrey moved to get in the jeep but when Beca went to follow she placed too much weight on her bad leg and fell to the ground.

Beca let out a curse and slowly sat back up, reaching to rub her injured leg. Flo knelt down next to Beca and rolled up her pant leg. She flinched at the amount of bruising that colored Beca's leg from ankle all the way up to her thigh.

"Jeez Beca what did you do?" Flo asked.

Beca grimaced as she tried to move her leg. "Picked a fight with a building, building won."

"Shortstack is just being modest, you two should have seen it." Amy said from inside the jeep. Aubrey and Flo helped Beca stand up and put her in the back seat. "Lilly and I were trapped inside the drug store. There were hundreds of nasty stalkers outside and I figured I was gonna have to bust out some of my croc fighting moves. But then out of nowhere we hear this siren and-"

"Amy! You can tell the story later. Now that we're all safe and gassed up we need to get back." Leave it to Aubrey to keep them on track. Amy huffed and muttered something about killjoys before getting in the driver's seat. Aubrey climbed into the passenger seat while Flo crawled in back with Beca. Lilly hopped back on the motorcycle and led the way to the road that would take them back home.

They made their way down the road, no one really said a word as they were all coming down from the adrenaline rush of going into Atlanta. Beca sat in the back seat silently stewing, after months on her own she was only an hour away from finally being in Chloe's arms again. She leaned back in her seat and tried to calm herself down but every time she closed her eyes all she saw was red hair and startling blue eyes.

Flo noticed Beca trying to hide her smile and Flo couldn't help but grin as well. She caught Aubrey's eye in the rearview mirror and saw a similar smile. Aubrey might try and act like a tough military leader but Flo could tell that she was overjoyed that Beca was alive. Amy had a self satisfied smirk on her face, not only had she been proven right that Beca was still alive but she had also won the bet. Not that money really mattered anymore but Amy would be damned if she didn't get to rub the fact that she was right in the doubter's (Bumper's) face.

"Quick question." Beca spoke up, her eyes were still closed in the back seat but Flo and Aubrey turned to look at her. "Why do you guys call them 'stalkers'? I mean it makes sense but I've just been calling them hunters, 'cause you know, they hunt."

Before Aubrey or Flo could answer Amy laughed and jumped in. "We did call them that but every time we talked about the 'hunters' Stacie would gesture to her lady bits. And every time she did that Aubrey's brain would stop functioning so we had to change the name." Amy kept on laughing and Aubrey's face was blushing so bad that she looked like a blond tomato.

Beca's eyes shot open and she stared at the back of Aubrey's head. Her grin grew into a knowing smirk and she wiggled her eyebrows so that Aubrey could see her in the rearview mirror.

"I'd keep your mouth shut if I were you, hobbit. Or I'll stop holding back all the comments I've come up with about you and Chloe." Aubrey still refused to turn to look at Beca but she gave her best glare through the rearview.

Beca scoffed and looked at the forest on the side of the road. "Why do you always call me a hobbit? Hobbits only grow, at most, to four feet. If anything, I'm a tall dwarf." The other three stared at her like she had grown a second head. "What? My dad's an English professor. Do you really think I haven't read those books?"

Amy coughed the word 'nerd' under her breath and Beca flipped her off. The brunette couldn't help the warm feeling spreading through her chest, she had missed these crazy nerds more than she thought. Amy followed Lilly off the interstate and they passed through two small towns before veering off on a dirt road that led into the woods.

Beca could feel her heart rate start to pick up. She could almost feel Chloe growing closer...or that could be indigestion, she had been eating a lot of beans. She watched as Lilly pulled into a clearing that was dotted with cabins of various sizes. There was a large lake set off to the side that presumably provided the camp with water and fish. All and all Beca couldn't think of a better place to stay to weather the end of the world.

Lilly parked the bike and waited for Amy to pull the jeep alongside. Aubrey and Flo jumped out of the jeep once it was stopped and together they grabbed the supplies that they took from the blood bank. Lilly grabbed the pain meds and the girls rushed off towards one of the distant cabins. Amy slipped out of the driver's seat and helped Beca get out of the back seat. The blonde pulled Beca's arm over her shoulder and together they hobbled over to the med cabin. Bella out of Beca's lap, she climbed up a nearby building and followed along from the rooftops.

"I can't wait to see Ginger's face when she sees you." Amy laughed.

"She's okay right?" Beca asked. "She's not hurt or anything?"

"Na. Not a hair harmed on her ginger head." Amy said. "Posen came and got us out of Barden before it got really bad. It's thanks to her that all the Bellas are still kicking."

The pair slowly made their way through camp with Amy pointing out specific cabins like the greenhouse and the cafeteria. As they passed by the greenhouse the door opened and Jessica and Ashley stepped out. The two stopped when they saw Amy and waved but then Amy turned and they saw Beca. They stood there and stared at each other for about a second before Ashley and Jessica started squealing. Beca braced herself against Amy as her friends just about tackled her to the ground. There were a lot of tears and words that Beca couldn't really make out through all the blubbering but she was glad to see her friends alive and well.

The two girls ran off to spread the news of Beca's return to the rest of the camp and Beca and Amy continued making their way to the cabin. They didn't make it another ten steps when Cynthia Rose came rushing out from behind a cabin.

CR looked Beca over before pulling her into a tight hug. "What took you so long, Shorty?" CR leaned back and wiped some stray tears from her cheeks. Before Beca could answer Amy made a coughing noise and held out a hand towards CR. Cynthia groaned and rolled her eyes before digging in her pocket and pulling out a wad of cash. She placed the money in Amy's hand and Beca stared wide eyed at the interaction.

"You guys bet on whether I was alive or not?" Beca couldn't believe that her friends would gamble on her life.

"No, no, no. We bet on how long it would take you to get here." CR explained. "I had you down for a month but Amy said that it would take you at least two."

"Oh," Beca thought about it for a second and she blushed a bit. "Well that's actually kind of sweet." The fact that her friends had never given up hope for her return gave her a warm fuzzy feeling.

"Ahh the little badass is getting all mushy on us." Amy squeezed Beca in a hug and the smaller girl squirmed uncomfortably.

"Whatever nerd can we just get to the cabin already so I can sit down." Beca rubbed her injured leg and Amy was quick to get them moving again.

"No problem captain." Amy said while CR grabbed Beca's other arm and helped Beca walk over to the cabin where Chloe was waiting.

They made it to the cabin but before they could go in Beca stopped them. "We should wait, if Emily's as injured as you guys say I'll just be a distraction." Amy went to protest but CR caught on and glared at Amy to keep her mouth shut. They helped lower Beca onto a bench that was sitting outside of the med cabin. CR sat down next to her while Amy went inside to check on what was going on.

The two sat there in a companionable silence. CR kept glancing over at Beca and when Beca gave her a questioning look CR just shrugged. "Just making sure you don't disappear on us again."

Beca laughed and settled back in her seat. She tried to relax but the fact that Chloe was only a few feet away kept her from truly relaxing. Just as she managed to slow her heart rate a little the cabin door banged open.

"CR? Amy said that there was a surprise out here. I swear if she brought back another badger I'm going to smack that girl..." Stacie's voice trailed off as she saw Beca sitting on the bench. Stacie's mouth worked like she wanted to say something but evidently couldn't manage to form a word. Instead she settled for sinking down onto the bench. Stacie held out a trembling hand, almost afraid that Beca would disappear if she touched her.

Eventually Beca got tired of waiting and pulled Stacie in for a hug and Stacie hugged her back with all she had. "I missed you too Conrad." Stacie pulled out of the hug and proceeded to slap Beca repeatedly. Beca tried to fend off her friend and resorted to trying to pull CR in front of her.

"You bitch!" Stacie gave Beca a final slap before letting out a frustrated huff. "Do you have any idea how worried we've been? Two months Beca. TWO MONTHS!"

"I'm sorry, all right!" Beca jumped in before Stacie could get on a roll. "But it's not like I had any way to contact you guys. I got here as fast as I could but there were, uh...complications."

Stacie's face softened and was replaced by one of concern. "Oh God, I'm sorry Beca. you must have gone through hell to get here." Stacie ran a hand through her hair and then looked over Beca with a critical eye. "Are you all right?"

Beca shrugged, "Ya I'm fine. My leg is kind of killing me but other than that I'm good."

Stacie knelt down on the ground and rolled Beca's pant leg up to look at her wound. Beca winced a little but Stacie ignored it and rolled the leg from side to side. "It's pretty banged up all right. Can you move it?" Beca nodded and moved her leg from side to side. It definitely didn't feel great but she could do it.

"How about your foot?" Stacie asked and Beca wiggled her foot around. It didn't hurt as bad as the rest of her leg. "Well it doesn't look like anything was broken, you just bruised the crap out of it. What exactly happened?"

Beca rolled down her pant leg and stretched her leg out. "I crashed through a window and my bike landed on top of my leg."

Stacie looked at CR but the girl just shrugged. She hadn't been there but it sounded like one hell of a story.

"I'll tell you guys later. Maybe after I get some sleep." Beca said. Stacie and CR both noticed just how tired Beca looked. Her hair was mussy but relatively maintained. There were dark circles under her eyes and the girl looked like she was just about ready to collapse from exhaustion.

"Maybe we should get you in bed. You look like you're about to drop dead." CR stated.

Beca shook her head, "I've waited too long to do this. Now that I'm this close nothing's going to stop me." Beca rose to her feet. When she wobbled a little CR and Stacie each grabbed an arm and helped Beca make her way to the door. Stacie reached forward and pulled the door open and Beca walked through the entrance and into the cabin.

Everyone in the room turned to look at her and Beca felt just a shred of nervousness, she never was one for being the center of attention. She saw Jesse standing in the corner with his jaw hanging open. She gave him a small wave before scanning the rest of the room. When she doesn't see a particular shade of red she starts to get worried. She was about to ask where Chloe was when she heard a sweet voice come from the back room.

"All right, Emily is set up with her transfusion and Benji is watching over her. Now if everyone else could avoid getting injured that would be great. Today has been hectic enough." Chloe's eyes are turned towards the ceiling so she doesn't see Beca standing right in front of her.

"Sorry to disappoint you Chlo but I banged up my leg pretty bad. Do you think you could take a look at it?"

Beca watched as Chloe's eyes widened. Ever so slowly Chloe lowered her head. She took in the chocolate brown hair, the pail skin, and eventually she settled on the midnight blue of Beca's eyes. The two stand there staring at each other for what feels like forever, until eventually Beca breaks the silence.

"Hey Red."

Chloe didn't waste another second before rushing forward and pulling Beca into a hug for the ages. Her arms wrapped around her long lost friend and she had no intention of ever letting go. Beca sank into the hug and felt all her worries melt away. Two months, thousands of miles and too many close calls all just to be in Chloe's arms again.

Beca let out a sob and Chloe mirrored her, she could feel the smaller girl trembling in her arms so Chloe tightened the hug. She was going to do everything in her power to take away Beca's pain, she had spent two months worrying if Beca was safe and now...now it felt like she could finally breathe again.

Chloe felt Beca start to lean back but the redhead reached a hand around behind Beca's head and pulled her closer. She tilted her head and cried into Beca's hair. Two months of repressed emotions came pouring out as the two just held each other.

After several minutes of just holding each other Chloe finally pulled back to look into Beca's eyes. The deep blue was as beautiful as ever and Chloe stood there drinking in the sight. She wiped a few tears from Beca's face with her thumb, she was still in a bit of shock from Beca suddenly appearing. She was even more shocked when the eyes she was staring into flickered down to look at Chloe's lips.

Beca slowly leaned in, she wanted to make sure Chloe wanted to kiss her but she was also tired of waiting. Chloe didn't show any resistance so Beca rushed forward and kissed the redhead with everything she had.

Chloe was vaguely aware of someone commenting about how it took them long enough, probably Amy but at the moment Chloe couldn't have cared less. She was kissing Beca, something she had wanted to do ever since the younger girl's initiation, something she thought she would never get the chance to do. The kiss ended and the two went back to staring at each other.

"Hi," Chloe whispered

"Hi," Beca whispered back.

"You're alive."

"I'm alive."

"You're here."

"I'm here."

"You kissed me." Chloe was still reeling a bit from the kiss.

"It's the only thing that kept me going," Beca said. "I couldn't die without telling you that I love you."

Chloe closed her eyes and let the words sink in. Finally, after years of waiting she finally heard the words she had longed for from the person she longed for. She let out a shaky yet relieved breath before opening her eyes again.

"I love you too."

The smile she got from Beca was worth it, worth all the worry of the past two months in the apocalypse. Beca leaned in to kiss Chloe again but when she did she felt her legs give out from under her. The edge of her vision became blurry and the last thing Beca saw before she blacked was Chloe's worry stricken face.

Emily woke up and the first thing she noticed was the dull throbbing in her leg. She remembered stumbling upon a bear cub in the woods and before she could react there was a loud bellowing sound. After that her memory got fuzzy, she remembered Benji singing and the concern on Chloe's face when she carried Emily back to camp. Now she was laying in one of the beds in the med cabin.

She tried to sit up but when she did the stitches in her leg pulled painfully so she laid back down. She looked around the room and had to do a double take when she saw the person in the bed next to her.

The girl looked like Beca but that didn't make any sense. As far as Emily knew Beca should be in Maine, not laying in a makeshift hospital ward. Plus, there was a monkey sitting next to the girl's head playing with her hair. Now Emily had only known Beca for a few months but she was pretty sure that the older girl did not have a pet primate.

Emily was about to call out when she saw a mess of red hair in the girl's lap. The only known surviving redhead to Emily's knowledge was Chloe. And the only person that Emily could think of that Chloe would fall asleep next to like that would be Beca. Her thoughts are interrupted by Benji walking through the door.

"Hey you're awake," Benji's face lit up like the fourth of July. "You've been asleep for like two days."

"Benji, who is that?" Emily pointed to her finger towards her new roommate.

Benji looked at her with a mixture of confusion and concern. "Emily, did you hit your head in the woods or something? That's Beca." Emily's eyes widened and her head whipped back and forth between Benji and Beca. "Ya, Aubrey and the girls found her when they went into Atlanta a couple days ago. Apparently she rode in on a motorcycle and save Amy and Lilly."

"But...what? Why is there a monkey?" Emily asked.

Benji glanced at the furry creature that had refused to leave Beca's side for the past two days. "Uh, when Beca came back she had a monkey for some reason. It started to screech when Beca didn't come out of the med cabin so we had to let it in."

"So that's really Beca?" Emily couldn't believe her eyes, she had thought that she would never see Beca again.

"You bet your ass that's Beca." The pair both turned as Stacie walked into the room. "It's great to see you awake Em, you've missed quite a bit."

"Why is she here with me? Is she hurt?" Emily's eyes widened in concern. "Oh my gosh is she going to be okay?"

"Calm down legacy, she's fine." Chloe's head slowly rose from where she was laying to look at her young friend. "She scared the shit out of me when she collapsed but I'm pretty sure she's just exhausted." Chloe reached up and softly stroked Beca's hair, causing Bella to climb up Chloe's arm and sit on her shoulder. Just as Beca had predicted Chloe and Bella had instantly bonded, especially since they both refused to leave the girl's side.

"She's pretty banged up from her long trip but hopefully with some rest and a few dozen ice packs she'll be back to her snarky self in no time." Stacie said. "But how are you feeling Em? Any pain?"

Emily shook her head. "My leg's a little sore but it's nothing compared to a few days ago."

"That's great, do you think you'd be up for going back to your cabin?" Chloe asked. "Being cramped up in this tiny room isn't really the best for your leg. It needs fresh air so the wound doesn't fester."

Emily nodded and with the help of Benji they managed to get the tall girl out of the room and into her own cabin. Once they had Emily settled Chloe rushed back to the med cabin and resumed her spot next to Beca. She hadn't really left Beca's side since the girl collapsed and she had no intention to.

Beca's breathing was slow and steady, just like it had been for the past two days. Chloe sighed and moved across the room to remove the sheets that were on Emily's bed, quietly humming to herself as she did so.

"Chloe, I just had the weirdest dream." Chloe stopped what she was doing and spun around. Beca still had her eyes closed but Chloe could tell she was awake. "There were a bunch of zombies everywhere, I was on a motorcycle and I had a pet monkey."

Chloe laughed, "Hate to break it to you Becs but that doesn't really sound like a dream." Beca opened her eyes and Chloe's heart did a little tap dance when their eyes met.

"So the zombie apocalypse is a thing?" Beca asked and Chloe nodded, fighting the smile that threatened to grow.

"Huh," Beca sat up and grabbed Chloe's hand. "Well the dream wasn't all bad. It ended with me finally sacking up and kissing you."

"That happened too, Becs." The grin she had been fighting had grown into a full blown Beale smile.

"Well my memory is a little fuzzy. Do you think we could do it again?" Beca wiggled her eyebrows and Chloe dissolved into a fit of giggles. "Sorry I didn't think the idea of kissing was so-MHMM!" Beca was silenced by Chloe lunging across the bed and capturing Beca's lips with her own. The two stayed like that until they were interrupted by Bella tugging on Beca's hair.

Chloe pulled back, her smile only matched by the one Beca had across her face. "I've been waiting three years to do that." The smile on Beca's face disappeared and when it looked like she was going to speak Chloe stopped her. "Don't. Don't apologize. We weren't ready. And besides now I can do that whenever I want."

Chloe crawled onto the bed and the two just held each other, just enjoying being together. Beca let out a content sigh and Chloe gave her a questioning look. Beca just tightened her grip and kissed Chloe again. Despite the fact that the entire world had gone to shit, right there in that bed Beca was the happiest she had ever been in her life.

"I'm home."

Phew, there it is. I'd like to thank everyone who reviewed/followed/favorited the story, I was a bit nervous about writing but you guys made it worth it.

Also don't worry part 2 is mellowing in the back of my brain, I just wanted to take a break from this so I could write some other stories/one shots.

Speaking of I would like to offer the opportunity to vote on my next multichapter story. It wouldn't be the next story but rahter the next "large" story I would wright. Would you prefer

A) Pirate AU: Mix of real world history and various fictional pirate stories (Pirates of the Caribbean, One Piece, Treasure island. Stuff like that.)

or

B) Vampire AU: In the same vein as Buffy the Vampire Slayer but also not. It would have it's own rules and mythology that I made up.

Feel free to leave a review or PM me with what you would prefer.
