Electricity ran through every fibre of Coco's body; one akin to the result of eating an Electric Banana. Although this time he would gladly let himself succumb to the feeling again and again. This was better than any sort of narcotic ingredient; it was absolutely heavenly on his lips and he would find himself becoming positively addicted to the feeling.
He never thought he would ever experience a kiss in his whole life, but here he was, lying supine on a couch belonging to a woman who he had become so irrevocably bewitched by; withherheld captive in his arms. You pulled away from him gently and he found himself greedily wanting you to return again, opening his eyes slowly to be greeted by your rosy-cheeked smile.
It was the rush that seemed to fly through his body the moment your lips had connected. The way goosebumps pricked over the whole expanse of his skin, that rush of blood that seemed to soar from all the way from his smallest toe to the crown on his scalp. The way his breathing caught of its own merit and how his eyes closed autonomously to savour such a texture and flavour of your lips against his. Coco had eaten aplenty of elusive and high quality ingredients, but he never anticipated that the source of such an endorphin rush could be dancing across the small, supple skin of another human.
"I never realised that a kiss would feel so nice." He breathed, tucking your hair behind one ear before running his hand softly over your cheek; mimicking the way you had done so before.
"I didn't think I'd ever be able to kiss you." You replied softly, falling into his hand and placing your own against his.
"I'm so entranced by you." Coco whispered before he could think. "Where have you been all of my life?"
"I guess our futures hadn't intertwined yet." You said with a breathy sigh. You could feel the bumps of small calluses along his hands as they grazed your skin so gently. He still struggled to let himself touch you without fear, but his heart was trying to win over that battle.
A man so deprived of touch, now permitted to feel justone.
"I'd really like to kiss you again..." He said softly, running his thumb over your lip gently. "...May I?"
You smiled into his hold and nodded, lowering yourself into his embrace once again and brushed your lips against his softly; waiting to see what lead he would take. He lingered his lips against yours before letting his instincts take over and push himself closer. You smiled against the pressure and let him dance across your mouth several times with a series of soft, gentle kisses. His arms tightened around your frame, afraid to let go of the prize he had coveted so. You shifted under his hold, throwing your leg over his waist to straddle yourself over him as best as you could on the seemingly shrinking furniture space.
You heard his breathing hitch once and he opened his eyes lazily to look at the position you had put yourself in.
"I thought-" He started before you shushed him with a finger on his lips.
"-Just trust me." You practically purred, sinking to close the space between your lips once more. You indulged him in more chaste kisses before you slid your tongue past his teeth and over his own, relishing in the way he seemed to freeze slightly before slowly melting into the moment.
If he thought the taste of your lips was addictive, then he wasn't prepared for the sensation of his tongue to be so intimately entwined against yours. His muscle, so refined to picking out the most infinitesimal changes between sweet and salty flavours, was experiencing the most enslaving sapidity that had eluded him for his whole life. That swooping rush he felt before rippled through his system again before settling into the pit of his stomach as an odd mix of elation and arousal. His heart was beating so forcefully against his ribcage that he believed it was beating a tattoo into it.
You could swear your entire body was glowing from the inside out. At least, that's what it felt like as you indulged in what the world's most poisonous man tasted like. You didn't know if there would be some sort of flavour to him; in fact, it was so incrediblynormalin your opinion. And yet, your mind's eye pictured your entire body sparkling from the whole encounter. Coco's hands ran up and down your back and he began to hunger more for your own taste; hands gripping the soft downing of your sweater with want. He had to break away just to calm himself down by forcing your connection to break as he pulled away.
"I need to stop." He admitted quietly. "I can't risk too much exposure so soon."
"...You're right." You answered quietly. "But I didn't want to let you go without letting you experience what a real kiss was like."
"How thoughtful." Coco mused, unable to stop the smile on his face. It had been quite some time since he felt his body crave something so intensely, and now he wasn't sure that he would ever be able to satiate the hunger that this kind of intimacy had given him.
You let out a small exhale through your nose and smiled. As much as youwantedto lose yourself in the moment, he was right; you didn't exactly want to risktoomuch happeningtoofast. You had been with enough people to develop an acute sense of their emotions; whether they were comfortable or uncomfortable, highly aroused or needed a little bit more attention. For Coco, you could sense that he was definitely on the verge of giving into his temptations, but the amount of self control he was exhibiting was commendable; something you believed that he had spent years mastering that was highly unlikely to just dissipate over one moment of selfish desire.
Still, you weren't about to let the opportunity slip; especially as he had lowered his defences an infinitesimal degree to give himself something he wanted. As you begrudgingly peeled yourself off of him, you took his hand in yours and tugged gently.
"What are you-" He said again and you laughed softly.
"Just come with me." You said with a breathy laugh. "I don't bite, Coco."
Eyes wide with curiosity, Coco pulled himself up and let you lead him away from his former resting place. You padded softly towards your bedroom and you could feel the hesitation in his grip the closer you went.
"(Y/n)..." He sighed softly behind you and you peeked over your shoulder.
"You said you trust me, right?" You asked, tugging him inside and releasing him.
"Just... make yourself comfortable in it."
You wandered over to your wardrobe and began rifling through it, searching for something. Coco rubbed the back of his neck as he hesitated.
"My poison-"
"-I know what I'm doing. Just get in."
"I thought we agreed to stop."
You paused your fossicking and looked over at him with a slightly annoyed look. You knew he would see it perfectly well in the dim lighting.
"I'm not having sex with you tonight, if that's what you're concerned about." You said flatly.
"...Oh." Coco admitted sheepishly. "Then what are you doing?"
"Covering myself as much as I can." You responded, pulling a lightweight hoodie from its hanger and swapping your sweater out for it. You shivered slightly as you swapped from the fabric warmed by your skin to a fresh one; acutely aware of the fact that your naked back was exposed in his direction momentarily. A sly thought walked through your mind if he had perhaps taken a peek at it during.
"What are you covering up for?" He asked, genuinely confused at all of your actions. He had hidden his eyes with a hand as you changed.
"To protect myself." You said simply and returned back to your recently vacated linen nest. "Get in."
You slipped in on the opposite side and waited in the centre of the bed, patting the mattress playfully and looking at him. Albeit apprehensive of everything, Coco followed suit, sharing the space with you as you wiggled into the crook of his shoulder and his chest. You flicked the hood over your head and rested your cheek on the inside of it as you took residence against his muscular chest; the fabric acting as a makeshift barrier between the skin of your bodies. It all began to fall into place after that and the swell in Coco's heart would be something to behold.
"It's a little unorthodox." You said from the confines of your fabric sheath. "And probably not the best view for you up top, but it's all I could think of right now."
"The fact that you thought about it speaks volumes." Coco said softly. "Although I do have to agree about the view."
You tipped your head up to give him a smile; your hair a curtain around your face as it peeked out at the neckline of your hoodie.
"It's not forever." You reiterated gently. "And I was going to put gloves on but I wanted to be selfish."
You heard the kick of Coco's heart stutter for just a moment as you rested your head back down into the warm crook.
"If only you knew how selfish I want to be right now." Coco said softly, trailing his fingers across your protected back gently.
"Good things come to those who wait." You yawned gently; already feeling the adrenaline beginning to ebb.
"I've already waited long enough. I suppose a little while longer won't kill me."
"Might kill me though."
Coco's trailing paused and he looked down at you.
"Are you referring to literally or figuratively?" He asked, a knot of unease forming in his stomach.
"Both." You stated simply, shuffling slightly in his embrace. "But I like my odds."
You could feel the tension in his body as you tried to relax against him.
"Coco..." You said quietly, throwing an arm over him and running your hand over the valleys of his abdominals. "I will not die because of you."
"I'm sorry (Y/n)." He swallowed thickly. "I don't want to be such a pessimist but this has always been a fear of mine...more-so now that you're in the picture."
"I understand that." You agreed gently, giving him a small hug. "And to be fair, if I don't wake up after tonight because of accidental poisoning, then I want you to know that I would be perfectly happy passing in my sleep with you."
You tipped your head up again and gave him a smile.
"But that's not going to happen."
"Why are you so certain?" Coco blinked, trying to quell his fears to let his mind settle.
"I don't know. Call it instinct I suppose."
Coco let out a puff of air and patted the back of your hooded head as he stared at you; letting his eyes peek into your electromagnetic waves. They were tinged with golden strands; something that he had never seen before, but it was enough to settle the knot in his stomach.
After all, it was so far from the shadow of death that he had become so accustomed to seeing when it regarded anything in his presence.
*
Coco managed to get some sleep before a ray of sunlight fell over his eyelids through a crack in the curtain. It was brighter than he was used to; the sun rising in a perfect line adjacent to the window as it roused him from his slumber. He startled when he remembered that this was, indeed, nothis home; the warm neutral tones of an ivory and eggshell paint scheme vastly different to the natural sandstone brick in his house. His minute shock jostled your form that was pressed up tightly against his and you made a small note of displeasure.
"Just five more minutes..!" You grumbled in your sleep, shifting slightly to press yourself against his solid frame once more.
Coco let out a small puff of amusement from his nose and tentatively pet the back of your head, tangling his fingers in your hair softly; lost in his own amusement before realisation struck his core like an electric shock.
Your cheek, so warm and soft, was pressed up heavily against his right pectoral and his blood turned cold. How long had you exposed your skin to his own? Is this why you were struggling to wake? Is your lethargy the result of his poison slowly killing you from the inside out?
Coco dropped his head back onto the pillow with a harsh'flump'and hovered his hands above you out of fear: thoughts beginning to spiral around his mind-
"-Go back to sleep." You mumbled into his chest and he flicked his head down to look at you again; hands frozen in the air as claws.
Your eyes were still shut and you nestled into his chest more, spurring his panic into a flurry once more. You must have just been talking in your sleep, he deduced.
"You do realise that I can hear your heartbeat, right? What's going on? It sounds like you're freaking out in there."
Coco swallowed thickly as you opened an eye lazily to glare at him through your sleep.
"Y-You're touching me." He gulped.
"Uh huh? So?"
"I-I mean you're touching my skin."
You looked down and the gears in your brain began to creak into life out of your sleep.
"Oh, that's it." You said slowly and pushed yourself up off of him. "Sorry, did I drool on you or something?"
"(Y/n), I'm worried I've poisoned you." Coco finally said with some strength in his voice. "You're acting sluggish and confused."
"It's called being tired, Coco." You grumbled, rolling over to the other set of pillows to try and get a few more winks.
"Please just go back to sleep."
"I just-"
"-Coco, I'm like this almost every morning." You sighed, rubbing your eyes in defeat, knowing that his concern would continue to fester unless you persuaded him otherwise. You rolled back over to face him, keeping your distance so he could settle his nerves. "I'm okay, I promise."
Coco swallowed thickly and began flexing his fingers to settle his thoughts. He was normally so level-headed, but when it came to you, you made his mind scramble like an omelette and he didn't enjoy the feeling of being so out of control.
"I'm sorry for worrying." He said, turning to look at you and his heart gave a flutter at the site of seeing your face watching him.
"No, it's okay." You yawned softly, covering your mouth with your hand. "I have to remember that this is a big thing for you to get close to someone, let alone share a bed with them."
"It's not something I've ever been accustomed to, no." Coco said, finally letting his hands rest on his abdomen.
"But... it hasn't been all bad. I enjoyed having someone next to me more than I thought, though a large part of me thinks I was caught in the moment."
You smiled, trying not to let the butterflies in your stomach erupt too violently at the memory of you both finally locking lips together. For someone so large and brawny, he was gentle, and it made you bite your lip.
"If I make you this caught up from one little kiss, then I dread to think what you'll end up like if we take it further." You joked, enjoying the tinge of pink that flushed through his cheeks.
"T-That's a whole different ball park." Coco stuttered, wishing his face would stop feeling so hot.
"Enlighten me." You said, repositioning yourself on your side so you were comfier.
Coco's breath caught momentarily as he tried to think of how to explain it all without scaring you off.
"Well I mean...we both know how I was after the IGO banquet that night." He said quietly, running his thumb over the other one. "Normally, my poison doesn't activate unless I deem it necessary, and by sight alone you can see how potent it is by the colour of it."
"That makes sense." You said, following along well enough.
"The thing is... from my own personal experience, it... it tends to... it tends to activate of its own accord when I'm... you know... finishing."
Coco's face had turned a deep vermilion at this point, and he was engrossed in the ceiling to avoid looking at you.
"Look, I gotta ask outright- do you have poisonous cum or something?"
The absolute horror on Coco's face as he balked at the sheer audacity of your question. He was so shocked that he couldn't find the words to answer right away; instead an odd croak fell out of his throat. It made you snort a bit and chuckle.
"I'm sorry, I just needed to ask!" You said, trying to stifle your laughter with one hand as the other shot out to touch him reassuringly on his thick bicep.
"I j-I just, *ahem, w-wasn't expecting you to be so graphic with it!"Coco spluttered, hiding his face behind his hands as he had done so such a long time ago. You began to piece together the fact that he hid his face whenever he was embarrassed and you found it to be a cute quirk.
"I mean, you don't have to answer right away if it's too soon, but I was curious."
"...
...
...No, it isn't."
His voice was quiet; muffled by his palms.
"It isn't too soon or you don't?" You probed, giving him a reassuring pat.
"I don't." Coco said, dragging his hands down slowly, leaving trails of white contrasts on his red face as his skin pulled. "My...*ahem,myspermisn't poisonous, no...just my skin."
"Well, that's one less thing to worry about then." You yawned matter-of-factly. "If poison from your skin is the only thing I need to worry about, then I think we'll be fine."
"You're taking this remarkably well. Much more than I thought you would."
"Coco, you would be very impressed at the things I can take." You said, flushing pink at the realisation of your words. "I-I mean, I've been around the block with a few people, I've learned to not be too judgemental of others."
Coco stewed over his next words, wondering if it was appropriate for him to ask just how much of a sexual history you had so early in both the day and your rapport with one another.
"Just...howmuch is that?" He probed gently.
You chewed the inside of your lip and averted your gaze.
"...A lot." You admitted quietly. "I don't really want to get into right now with you honestly."
"Have I offended you?"
"No, I'm not offended. It's just..."
You sighed and sat up, letting the quilt fall from your body and rumple around your hips as you still avoided looking him in the eye. You rolled the sleeves of your hoodie up to let your skin breathe.
"...It hasn't always ended well when I tell someone about it." You relented, rubbing the back of your neck. "They either get intimidated by it or angry at me for it. It's almost like being poisonous to someone else in a dumb way; having multiple sexual partners."
You rubbed your face with your hands roughly before drawing your knees up and leaning on them, a forlorn look on your features.
"Not everyone understands that sometimes you just have to do what you need to do to survive." You said, finally tipping your head to look at the Heavenly King with a sad smile.
Coco's hand trembled slightly as he reached out to take your hand in his; forcing himself to push through that giant wall he had built up in his mind.
"The way I see it," Coco started, pulling himself up to sit with you. "Experience often bears a much more bountiful harvest. I don't think it's a bad thing."
"Well, you'd be the first." You said softly, wanting to snuggle back into him, but you knew he was trying to calm himself down still.
A moment of quiet passed between you both; letting your hands share another brief moment of connection before you felt his hand slip away from yours.
"My apologies." He said quietly. "Your E-M waves are starting to dim. I think that's your limit for now."
"You can tell all that just from my waves?"
"Yes, it's actually how I can predict someone's future."
"So it's not some sort of palm divination that you do then?"
"You remember that?"
"Yes of course I do. I was a little confused by it but I figured you would have your reasons for doing it."
"Well, to be fair, it's how I tell my own, but I kept up the act because people wouldn't believe their fortunes being told just by me looking at them."
"I think that's being a con-artist technically."
"I prefer the term showmanship."
"Boy, you sound like Sunny with that language."
"I'm not sure whether to be insulted by that remark or not."
"Oh, your brother isn't that bad!"
"He's no picnic either."
"And they call you the gentleman of the Heavenly Kings. Somewhere along the way, I think they got that label wrong."
"You haven't any idea the pain in the neck those three have been for me growing up."
"Do I hear Coco's tongue being impolite? My my, maybe I should stop the presses."
"Your tongue is just as sharp as mine, don't act all innocent."
You quirked an eyebrow at the King and looked him in the eye.
"Whoever said anything about me being innocent?" You said in a low voice. It was enough for a flash of intrigue to wash through Coco's body and he found himself caught in your line of sight; unable to tear his own eyes away.
"I said don't act all innocent..." He replied, his own voice low and cautious, waiting for some kind of cue to gauge what you were thinking.
You made a note of amusement before scanning him up and down quickly, clicking your eyes back on his own. You hooked your leg over his waist before he had time to react properly, pushing him back down by his chest and caging him with your hands by his head. Truly, the image of your small frame seemingly pinning down such a large and chiselled prey would look so comical, but in his own words, experience did reap rewards, and this was an area you were a master of.
You were careful to only have your covered legs make anchorage against his own clothed pair, and you hovered over his face with a coquettish smile. With the angle you were leaning at, the bottom of your hoodie slipped, exposing your stomach to both the morning air and Coco's view.
"What are you going to do, Heavenly King?" You asked huskily, not actually looking for an answer. "You told me not to act so innocent, and now look where you've ended up."
After just advising you of the fact that you were close to breaking your immunity, he knew you had him pinned, both literally and figuratively. You knew all too well that he wouldn't risk touching your skin directly to remove you from such a compromising position he now found himself in.
But he would lying if he said that he didn't like said position he was now entangled in. It was enough for him to bite his own lip slightly and smirk at your audacity.
"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to play with your food?" He responded, his mellow voice a fraction above a whisper and it sent a ripple down your spine.
"When something looks this ravenous, it's hard for me not to want to get my hands on it." You cooed. "To see it, wondering how it'll escape..."
You kept your eyes locked onto his, rolling your body lightly above his; just a hair's breadth away from making contact.
"The scent of it..." You purred, running the tip of your nose along his so gently before moving down towards the crook of his neck.
"-to hear it..." You sighed so gently before resurfacing.
You dipped your face so that your lips floated above his own so closely that you could feel his warm breath against them from the slight part in his mouth.
"-to touch it..."
You moved as if to kiss him, luring him into a false sense of affection, before raising yourself away and shuffling down his body; placing your hands either side of his hips now. His eyes followed you on your way down and you could swear you heard him gulp.
Coco had begun to flex his hands slowly, and he wondered if you could hear how loud his heart was crashing behind his flesh and bone. Perhaps it was because he lacked any sort of experience to such intimacy, but he knew that his defences were rendered lost. And yet, he couldn't find a way to stop himself from remaining so vulnerable.
"-to taste it."
You dragged the tip of your tongue through the central valley of his tight abdominal muscles, and relished in the breathy sigh that he had been fighting to choke down. It set your stomach ablaze once more, coupled with the vision of some of the skin of his face creeping into his poison coating. You also noticed how flushed his cheeks had become and that his poison was also spreading somewhat over his left hip.
"Seems like we've found your limit too." You said, before finally slinking off of him and the bed.
"I'm going to have a shower. Make yourself at home." You finished, giving him a cheeky wink over your shoulder before padding over into the bathroom the next door over.
Coco released the breath he had been holding in and rubbed a hand through his hair harshly. He could feel his poison receding back into his pores, while the jack-hammering in his chest refused to slow. This adrenaline, this fear, thisarousalexcited him beyond his own comprehension, and those lips of yours were largely to blame. It had been some time since he had felt his appetite bubble in his core so intensely, except it wasn't hunger that he craved. No, this was much more than that.
The two of you had a long journey ahead, but as Coco lay there trying to regulate his body once more, he would not deny that this was an adventure that not even his fortune telling would have predicted how much he would enjoy the chase of.
