Saul is told

Davids gone to

Keilan "I've

got him this time,

for he's imprison

in a town of gates

and bars."

He calls up

his forces

to besiege David

and his men.

David learn

of Saul's plot

so he and his

600 men fled.

Moving from

place to place

hiding in the hills

of the desert strongholds.

Day after day

Saul hunted him

but God didn't

give David into his hands.

The Ziphites

went up to Saul.

" Davids hiding

among our strongholds.

Now O king we'll

be responsible

for handing him over

to you."

"The lord bless you,"

Saul said. " Find out

where he goes,

find all of his hiding places.

Than send word to me

for I'll track him down."

Beady eyes

look down

every speck

of the desert.

Found out

a messenger say

"He's in the mountain

of Maon."

Saul quickly

went along

one side of

the mountain

David and his men

were on the other side

scurrying back

Saul's forces

close in...

"My liege,

my liege."

a messenger

shriek outta breath.

"Israels under attack

by the philistines."

"GRRRRRR!"

Saul begrudgingly

broke off pursuit.

Once order was restore

the hunt began anew

the king took three thousand men

and set out.

In the scorching heat,

among the crags

Saul relieve himself

in a cave.

Farther back among the shadows

David and his men stay.

The men whisper.

"This is it, go kill him."

David crept up unnoticed

and cut out a corner

of Saul's robe.

Crumpling it in a fist.

He crept back.

He said to his men.

"The Lord forbids me

that I lift a hand

against him,

for he is the anointed

of the Lord."

Saul left the cave.

David went out.

"My lord

my king."

Saul turn around

David bowed down.

"Why do you listen

when men say

David's bent against

you?

This day you've

seen with your own eyes

how the lord deliver you

into my hands.

But I spare you.

Look here is a piece

of your robe

in my hand!"

"Is that your voice?"

Saul wept aloud.

"David my son.

You're more righteous

than I.

You will surely be king."

Saul and his men return home

but David hid

in the caves.
