Okay, this past week and a bit has been unreal. I saved my planet from the woman who made me a monster, and now another time god wants me to work with an old man and his two grandkids to stop The Foundation again. This is getting too real.
The young man finished his smoothie, and looked at me in a strange way.
"Um, are you just a regular guy, or do you do anything?" Ben asked me. I have to play it safe, so I stopped time, moved the empty smoothie over to the other side of the RV, and resumed the flow of time, all while in my human form."
"Uh, where did my smoothie go?" Ben asked me, only to turn around and see it on the other end of the vehicle.
"How...how did you do that, Nathan, right?" Ben asks me with a hint of fear. For all he knew, I could have been working for Vilgax or something.
"The same reason Professor Paradox can do things like this. I am a time anomaly. In fact, we actually got our abilities in almost the same manner." I replied.
"So hold on, you are another time anomaly? Are you from the Forge of Creation?" Gwen asks me. Is the Forge of Creation the same as The Void? I will find out more soon.
"What is the Forge of Creation?" I ask her. The name sounds familiar, but I am not 100% sure.
"It is where the Celestial Sapiens live, you know, like Alien X." Ben replied. What's an Alien X? Is that one of his transformations? Although now that he mentions it, I do remember floating in The Void seeing a bunch of humanoid figures in cosmic black just standing there, floating in space. They looked like they could kill me by blinking.
Anyways, before I go to space, I have to consult with my Equestrian attaché. I quickly teleport out of the RV back to Canterlot, going to see if anyone knows anything about Galvan Prime.
"The guy can teleport? Cool!" Ben says, as he wonders where I went.
CANTERLOT: EQUESTRIA
I quickly change back into Kronos, so I blend in better. I could have stayed as a human, given that there were already a bunch of humans traversing Equestria, trying to learn the Magic of Friendship and forgiveness. There were a lot of children. It was wholesome.
"Damn, the kids are alright." I say, thinking that nobody listened to what I just said. Someone taps me on the shoulder. It was Celestia.
"You bet these Earthling kids are alright. Some of them are quite adept at magic. It is remarkable. Anyways, that is besides the point. Did you see the professor? What did he tell you?" She asks me, although I had a feeling she knew the answer already.
"Well, his name is Professor Paradox, and he is also a time anomaly. He wants me to join an old man and two guys my age on a trip to space, to a planet called Galvan Prime. Apparently there are energy outputs there that match The Foundation back in '05."
Celestia takes a minute to think about the information I just gave her. "Ah yes, Galvan Prime. The race of aliens that live there are remarkably intelligent, especially Azimuth. He invented the Omnitrix, you know!" I was stunned. How did she know about that watch Ben was wearing?
"Hold up, there is this guy my age (assuming I aged normally) who has a watch with that same name. Is that normal?" I ask her.
"Holy crap… then you must go! That man is special. Follow him! Your life could depend on it. While you are here, you should ask Twilight to come with you. She needs some more experience. As you know, I am supposed to tap her as my successor in a few years." She said I take a minute to think about what she just said, and I remember looking at Twilight's future when I met her, and I saw something great. Now I know why.
"You are going to make her a god?" I ask her. I mean, she already gave her alicorn powers four years early, so anything is possible at this point.
"Well, yes, I mean even though I am a god myself, I need to retire eventually. I have been eyeing her as my successor for years, even before you showed up. Go get her, she is probably at Sweet Apple Acres today, Applejack wants her to help around a bit. Good Luck, Nathan, and try not to erase the universe again." She said with a smile. I didn't even tell her I erased the universe. Did Twilight tell her?
Anyways, I flew over to Sweet Apple Acres, reminiscing about my 10 years of frozen time where I trained there. Anyways, the estate is quite lovely, with dozens of hectares of apple orchards. The whole gang was there, apparently they were having a farmer's exposition or something.
Applejack notices that I landed near the gate, and runs over to greet me.
"Howdy, Kronos. It's been a while, how are you doing?"
She asks me. I need to get straight to business, but I have manners.
"I am doing alright, do you know where Twilight is? I have to ask her something incredibly important."
I asked her, eager to finish my task.
"I'll get her in a minute, but you have to try my apple cinnamon pie. It is magical!"
She drags me over to the table where there is a large assortment of apples and other apple products, ranging from apple cider to pie to muffins. It was everything apple. A little foal accidentally bumps into me.
"Umm, sorry mister. I was trying to pass." I laugh. I was so busy focusing on this mission, and the pie, that I ran into her.
"It's okay. It was my fault, actually. I am rushing to get somewhere." The foal smiled:
"I am Apple Bloom. If you need anything, ask my sister, okay. I have to go now, bye!" Applebloom ran off to do her own thing. She looks cute. Children are so sweet and innocent. Applejack quickly grabs me a plate and a fork and serves me a piece of apple cinnamon pie.
"It's a homemade recipe. People come from all over to try it, even your Earthling friends like it now!" She says with pride. It can't be THAT bad. I taste it, and I am cascaded with its pleasant, sweet, and smooth texture and taste. "Holy mackerel. This is amazing! Did you use genetic engineering or anything. Apples on Earth are good, but not as good as this! Unreal…"
She laughs. "It's nothing, really, just good pH in the soil and a unique breed of apple my family has cultivated for centuries. Oh, right, you were looking for Twilight, she is over here." She leads me to where Twilight is. She is also eating some apple cinnamon pie, and she pauses her snack when she notices me.
"Oh, nice to see you again. What brings you back here? Anything bad happening on Earth?" She asks me. Do I give her the long version or the short version?
"Well, a weird guy in a lab coat showed up in my apartment, claiming to be another time god. He wants me to go to a distant planet, where The Foundation might be doing some nasty stuff. Celestia sent me to get you."
Twilight takes a minute to think about what I just told her, and teleports both of us to my apartment. "Okay, so you are supposed to be going to outer space now? Why do you need me?"
Do I tell her Celestia wants to tap her as the next goddess of the sun? Not yet. Just get to the part about the guy with the watch.
"Apparently, we are supposed to be going with a bunch of people my age. One of them is a gifted mage, like you, and the other one has a watch that turns him into aliens." I tell her.
"The Omnitrix?" Twilight asks. How is it that literally everyone in the universe knows about this stuff, but I don't. "Yes, that thing. How do you know about it?" I interrogate her a bit, I don't know where this could lead.
"I just read about it in an old manuscript. Apparently Tirek worked with this galactic warlord named Vilgax a long time ago, and that guy was OBSESSED with this watch. I don't know why. Tirek agreed to help him, under the condition that Equestria was his for the taking. They couldn't find the watch, but now that you mentioned it. It makes sense that it got sent to Earth. Your planet is so quiet and inconspicuous. It's the last place any alien would look."
I think about what Twilight just told me. "Wait, if Tirek worked with Vilgax, does Vilgax have a connection to Project Eclipse and the Foundation?" Twilight shakes her head. "I don't know, man, but I should probably come with you. I don't want you to unleash The Destroyer again. Speaking of which, where is this planet?" She asks me. Truth be told, I have no idea where the planet is. I have to ask Max.
"We have to make a pit stop before we go. I need to introduce you to this guy I just met, Max Tennyson. He works for the Plumbers, sort of like the galactic police. He probably knows where this planet is."
Twilight nods in agreement. "Well, where is he?"
"Bellwood, California." I say as I snap my fingers and teleport both of us back to the RV in the parking lot, changing back into a human so as to not disturb anyone.
"There you are, and who is that fellow you brought with you?" Max asks me.
I got some explaining to do...
