The gods and demigods woke up late the next day.
Unknown to Percy and Nico, Poseidon and Hades had snuck out of the quarters to talk about the machines and their children's feelings.
"I didn't know the whole thing." Poseidon chuckled
"The notes were deep, I'm glad they love us because we love them too." Hades said
The talked a little longer and went back to the quarters and slept.
They woke up at 10am.
Percy came into Poseidon's room, stretching.
"I slept so well and long." He yawned
Poseidon and Amphitrite chuckled.
"Percy, Sally loved the gifts everybody sent to her and so did Paul." Poseidon informed Percy
The demigod grinned.
They all went for breakfast and then to the throne room. The tree and snow was still there though the snow had been reduced for the sake of reading.
Thalia and Percy shared a glance.
Percy sat down with Nico and Thalia sat next to Zoe.
"I'll read." Chris said and he picked up the book.
He read out the title –
"Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse."
Zoe grimaced.
Chris started with the first chapter.
"MY RESCUE OPERATION GOES VERY WRONG." He read out
"Yours huh?" Annabeth smirked
Percy snickered.
The Friday before winter break…She talks more when she's nervous
Thalia, Annabeth and Nico smirked.
Poseidon resisted the urge to nod.
By the time we finally got…was to tell about me.
"That's a little embarrassing." Beckendorf said
Thalia wiped the fog…churning ocean on the other
"You know, that is exactly how it looked like." Thalia said, thinking
"Yep." Annabeth agreed.
"Are you sure you don't…that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Everybody snickered.
Annabeth smirked.
"That's so true." Will said
Percy stuck his tongue out at him.
"All right, dears…freeze myself to death
"I swear, I remember when your mom told me one of the stories, gods I couldn't stop laughing for an hour." Nico laughed
Annabeth and Thalia followed me outside…You ever get in touch with your mom?"
Jason and Thalia cringed.
"You definitely have a death wish." Luke said, shaking his head
Percy grinned sheepishly.
As soon as I said it…perfect evil "ten."
Everybody shuddered theatrically.
"That look is scary." Connor said
Thalia and Zeus smirked.
"If that was any of your business, Percy—"… Literally.
"Sounds like a place Ares would like." Apollo said
Ares shrugged.
My hand went to my pocket…"Guess we'll stay a while."
A few snickers.
"Oh yeah dad, it might hurt later." Percy warned
Poseidon groaned and nodded.
I could hear music echoing…the guy was clean-shaven
"That seems a little opposite." Leo said
Which seemed kind of backward to me.
Leo and Percy grinned at each other.
They both walked stiffly…shall be eee-jected!"
"I hate that guy." Annabeth scowled
"Same here." Thalia, Percy, Nico and Zoe said
They grinned at each other.
He had an accent…stare up his nose
Leo mock gagged.
And his eyes were two different colors—…seemed to be hesitating.
"Mist manipulation." Hazel nodded
"You can do it too?" Thalia asked
Hazel nodded.
He looked at his colleague. "Ms. Gottschalk, do you know these students?"
Everybody sniggered at the name.
Despite the danger we were in…. And they made it!"
"Decent save." Travis shrugged
Dr. Thorn glared at us…leave the gymnasium again!"
"Good job Thalia." Zeus smiled
We didn't wait to be told twice…seemed like the thing to do.
Everybody laughed.
"Definitely is." Connor snickered.
Grover hustled us down the hall…Why had he shown Thalia and not me?
A lump formed in Poseidon and Percy's throats.
Chiron winced.
"Sorry Percy, I'll teach you now." Chiron said
"Thanks Chiron but just one thing, I don't want you to teach me just because of my thoughts, I want you to teach me because you think I should know." Percy smiled.
"Of course, it's high time you know." Chiron smiled
Percy grinned.
Grover hurried us to a door…just the school motto.
"I actually don't know, I mean when I went there, they just handed me the shirt." Grover shrugged
Percy Oh'ed.
"So what's the emergency?" I asked…they're strong.
Hades smirked.
We're running out of time, though…but Thalia had seniority.
Grover winced.
"I didn't want to make you feel that way Perce." He said, apologetically
Percy waved it away,
Not just because her dad was Zeus…The vice principal, Dr. Thorn."
"Oh that's just wonderful." Triton sighed
"Another teacher monster." Pollux said
Weird thing about military schools…lipstick graffiti all over his face.
The boys and a few girls shivered.
"Weirdos." Thalia said
Everybody nodded.
Some of the older guys looked more like me…Of course, in my case, it was true.…
"Well yeah." Will sighed
"There they are."… Be scolding him about something.
Nico smiled sadly.
"Which cards?" Dakota asked
"Mythomagic." Nico said
"Between who got me the cap and the Mythomagic for Christmas?" he asked
"Me and Thalia." Percy grinned.
"Of course." Nico said
"Let's not pretend that you didn't like them." Thalia grinned
"Fine I did like them." Nico said
"There's nothing wrong with that." Percy said
Nico nodded.
She kept looking around…His blue eye seemed to glow.
"That guy is very creepy." Luke said
"Yeah but I can't figure which monster it is." Hermes said
Judging from his expression…Jesse McCartney?"
"Yeah, don't play that with Thalia." Annabeth chuckled
Grover looked hurt. "I did."… Green Day or something?"
"My favourite song is Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Percy grinned
"I like Wake Me Up When September Ends." Thalia grinned
"Ah, but boulevard is better." Percy smirked
"Whatever." Thalia said, rolling her eyes.
"Green who?"… Onto the dance floor.
Grover smiled.
Annabeth smiled…have Thalia back."
Thalia and Annabeth smiled at each other.
Annabeth had grown taller than me since last summer, which I found kind of disturbing.
Annabeth smirked.
She used to wear no jewelry…for some reason.
"I think she matured after the quest." Thalia said
"Yeah, it gives you new experiences, makes you grow up." Percy agreed
"So…" I tried to think of something to say…Annabeth's eyes lit up
"Bulls eye." Luke grinned
The way they always did…word she was saying.
"I think the only one who does is the Hephaestus cabin and Tyson." Lee grinned
Annabeth sighed.
The truth was I was kind…I hardly ever saw them.
"Aw Kelp Head, you miss us." Thalia teased
Percy stuck his tongue out.
"Yeah, uh, cool," I said…he had an excuse for being clumsy.
"Yeah, that hurt a little." Thalia said
Grover blushed.
"Dance, you guys!"… "Um, who should I ask?"
Every single person in the throne room face-palmed.
"How are you so oblivious?" Nico laughed
Percy turned red and grinned sheepishly.
"Percy magic." He said
She punched me in the gut…she was about to judo throw me.
The seven, Reyna and Dakota laughed.
"Judo flips have been something in your life for a long time." Reyna laughed
"I'm not going to bite," she told me…. "In San Francisco."
"Oh that's problematic." Thalia said
She said this the same way she might say Fields of Punishment or Hades' gym shorts.
Everybody burst out laughing and Hades turned bright red.
"What kind of curses do you guys use?" he grumbled
They chuckled.
"So he wants you to move out there with him?"… "You know. It's right there."
"Nobody's going to understand that." Clarisse said
"Oh," I said…Dr. Thorn was nowhere in sight.
Hades froze.
"We have to get Thalia and Grover!"… Their necks, like kittens
Hades growled.
I still couldn't see Annabeth…I could handle this myself.
Thalia and Grover winced.
"You know if Percy is thinking that then it must really be getting to him" Luke said
I took Riptide…slammed me to the wall.
Percy and Poseidon gave a yelp of pain and clutched their shoulder.
Tyson, Triton and Amphitrite looked worriedly at them.
"What the-?" Castor asked
I slashed with my sword…. Poison.
Poseidon whimpered.
Percy removed his hand from his shoulder, winced in pain and put his hand on his dad' s back and winced again but he didn't say anything.
The gods were still a little surprised by Percy's selflessness.
I forced myself to concentrate. I would not pass out.
"It's Percy's stubbornness that keeps him alive sometimes." Jason said
A dark silhouette now moved…from her face.
Hades' blood ran cold and he growled.
"She was fine dad." Nico assured him.
"All three of you will come with me,"… accurately I can throw."
"Sounds like a Manticore." Apollo said worriedly
A nod form Annabeth confirmed his suspicions.
"I'll read." Annabeth said.
Chris gave her the book and she started with the next chapter.
