"Of course you do." Triton sighed
I tore across the Mall…Apollo space capsule.
Apollo grinned.
Everybody laughed and Zeus and Thalia felt a slight push on their body.
Grover yelped in surprise…appeared out of nowhere.
"Hunter special." Reyna smirked
When Zoë realized…silver bracelet. "Where?"
Annabeth gave Thalia a sympathetic look.
I told them about... You lie."
"Why would he lie?" Clarisse asked
"I didn't want to believe it." Zoe sighed
"Why would I lie... A monster."
"It was quite some monster." Grover shuddered
"The strategy was pretty good." Zoe snickered
Percy grinned.
Thalia and Grover…now wasn't the time to ask.
"No it wasn't, you have to get out of there." Poseidon said
"Yeah a bit too late for that." Percy said
"If Percy is telling the truth…" Thalia said grimly.
"You can't be serious right now." Annabeth face-palmed
"But you're here now…Zoë snapped.
"It's not yours either." Leo scowled
Beckendorf put a hand on his brother's shoulders.
Thalia scowled at her…leave them behind!"
"Just because he was her friend doesn't mean that she only cares about boys." Jason scowled, losing his patience.
"Do you guys ever consider the fact that your attitude affects people's self-esteem? Oh wait who am I kidding, of course you don't." Chris scowled
Zoe and Artemis winced.
"Guys let it be." Hermes said
"Yeah, that's how its always been anyway." Jason said
"Please continue reading Lady Athena." Chris said
Thalia looked like she…it looked even bigger.
Everybody froze.
"The Nemean Lion." Poseidon whimpered
"The Nemean Lion"… like stainless steel.
"That was a good roar." Pollux said, trying to lighten the tension.
"Separate on my mark," Zoë said…"ROOOAAAR!"
"That is a very powerful shield if the big lion hates it." Tyson nodded
Thalia smiled.
"Hi-yah!" Thalia said…was going to pounce.
Zeus and Jason froze and paled.
Hera scowled at Zeus' reaction.
"Hey!" I yelled…the monster into Meow Mix
"Meow mix." Travis snickered
But the blade just clanged against... thousand pounds of monster
Poseidon paled.
"Son, which monster have you not faced?" he asked, his voice wavering
"There aren't many in not faced." Annabeth said
Poseidon banged his head against the sofa back.
And I had no choice…the plane began to groan.
"That's a problem, you have to get off it." Hephaestus said
The lion swiped at…strike it in the mouth
"That should kill him but it's going to be hard." Hermes nodded
"Percy had a unique strategy." Grover said
The only problem was…dropped off the equator.
"The globe part sounded like something Annabeth would say." Thalia laughed
"Well she's going to rub off isn't she?" Percy joked and winked at Annabeth
"Fair enough." Thalia said
The Nemean Lion growled…exhibit crashed to the floor.
Athena winced.
A good exhibit was destroyed.
Thalia dropped off the second-floor…Thalia rolled out of its way
Zeus and Jason put hands on their hearts.
"Wow another pair ready for a heart attack." Apollo sighed.
Poseidon snorted.
Holding up Aegis to keep the monster at bay, and I ran for the gift shop.
"There isn't time for souvenirs." Zeus glared at Percy
Percy ignored him.
"This is no time for souvenirs…cowering behind her cash register.
"Poor lady." Rachel sighed.
There! On the far wall…eyes narrowed to tiny slits.
"Ohh no." The Stolls said
Thalia jabbed at the monster…she slid to the floor.
Zeus and Thalia grabbed their heads, their vision blurred and the two of them closed their eyes to calm down.
Jason put a hand on his father and his sister's shoulders.
"Hey!" I yelled at the lion…cat with a hairball.
"No way." Hermes grinned
"Yes way." Percy grinned
Hermes chuckled.
I couldn't blame it. I remembered feeling the same way when I'd tried to eat space food as a kid. The stuff was just plain nasty.
The people who figured out the plan chuckled as they knew that it was a crazy plan but it was Percy's crazy plan so it was going to work.
"Zoë, get ready!" I yelled…"Snack time!" I yelled
"You are the only person who would say that to the Nemean lion." Triton told Percy.
"What can I say?" Percy grinned and shrugged
It made the mistake…baseball wasn't my game.
"That's actually very fortunate, the smallest of talents can come in handy." Apollo said and nodded
Percy smiled.
Jason was very glad that Apollo had changed and remembered his promise.
Before the lion could stop gagging, I shot in two more flavors of ice cream and a freeze-dried spaghetti dinner.
"Good one!" Leo cheered
The lion's eyes bugged…get away from me
"You managed to scare it." Persephone said in shock
"Now!" I yelled…And then it was still.
Everybody cheered and Poseidon let out a breath of relief.
Zeus and Jason did the same.
Thalia and her dad were already feeling better from the hit.
Alarms wailed throughout…She didn't argue.
"It is a crazy Percy idea and those always work." Grover chuckled
"So another monster to add to the list." Leo said, pulling out a pen and the notebook.
The lion seemed to be melting…normal lion's pelt.
"Lion's fur, it's very useful." Hermes said
"Take it," Zoë told me…"You killed it," I said.
Everybody looked at Percy.
"You were ready to give it to somebody else?" Dakota asked
"She killed it and it was team work." Percy shrugged
Dionysus got another hint that this boy was different but he wanted to go through the books first.
She shook her head, almost smiling. "I think thy ice-cream sandwich did that. Fair is fair, Percy Jackson. Take the fur."
"She didn't call you boy." Reyna pointed out
Percy nodded.
I lifted it up…I murmured.
"It came in quite useful later." Percy smiled.
Poseidon looked very smug.
Zeus noticed this and rolled his eyes at his brother who shot him a smirk.
"That was a great idea." Poseidon smiled at Percy
"Thanks dad." He grinned
"We have to get out of here"… But it'll only last a few seconds."
"Good job Grover." Hermes said
Dionysus nodded.
"The security guards…gaze aimed straight at me.
"I mean why not?" Poseidon sighed sarcastically
Go," I said…And we are not leaving anyone behind."
Everybody nodded.
"Chapter's done." Athena said
"I'll read." Apollo said
Athena gave him the book.
"I'm a little hungry, can we take a break after this?" Percy asked, hoping to be able to talk to Nico in private
Chiron nodded.
Apollo started reading.
