"Why is Grover getting a Lamborghini?" Hermes asked
"Transport." Percy
"Gee really, I had no idea." Hermes said sarcastically
Percy smirked.
We were crossing the Potomac... more horrible than monsters."
"That's true, sometimes mortals can do more things than monsters." Rachel said
The helicopter kept coming…be nice about now. Please?"
"Yeah, that's not going to work." Jason said
"It didn't." Thalia clarified
But the sky stayed gray and snowy. No sign of a helpful thunderstorm.
Zeus sighed.
"There!" Bianca said…Alexandria."
"I have a faint memory of the place." Nico nodded
"Luckily so did Bianca." Thalia sighed
"Anything," Thalia agreed…looked pretty confused.
Hades winced.
"But I don't think that station could have been built less than at least 10-12 years ago." Lee frowned
"It was old.' Percy said
"Then-?" Lee asked
"It should come up in the books, I mean we did figure it out." Zoe said
"Bianca," Zoë said…but after a while we lost the helicopter.
"That's good." Amphitrite said
Unfortunately, when we finally got off…Come on over!"
All the gods looked around to see, which one of them it could've been because it was very unlikely that is was somebody else.
Apollo was trying his best to conceal a grin.
We huddled around his fire…sake of the homeless guy.
"I think it was a bit too late for that." Hermes chuckled
"He might have thought that we're crazy." Thalia shrugged
"Maybe we should contact camp"… SUN WEST LINE.
"Apollo!" Zeus exclaimed
"Why are you interfering?" He asked angrily
"My sister was kidnapped Zeus." Apollo said angrily, not bothering to call him father.
Zeus glared at him.
"Quit glaring at our father, just because you don't care about your family doesn't mean that others don't either." Will snapped
Zeus was taken aback by the words.
Apollo shot his son a smile.
"That's…convenient," Thalia said…wheel of a Lamborghini.
Everybody chuckled.
And Thalia had hot-wired… I might not live that long.
"Can you be a bit more optimistic?" Poseidon pleaded
"Oh dad, when you are a demigod, optimism is pretty rare to feel." Percy sighed
Poseidon groaned.
"Nice coat," Thalia told me… We've got a long way to go."
"Not just for the monster but also for Annabeth and Artemis." Percy said
Thalia nodded.
"Whatever this mystery monster is, the General said it would come for you. They wanted to isolate you from the group, so the monster will appear and battle you one-on-one."
"It wasn't a battle though." Percy said sheepishly
"Eh, but it was pretty close with another monster." Thalia shrugged
Zeus and Poseidon grimaced.
Percy flinched when he saw Hades grimace too as Bianca had died by then.
"He said that?"… "What's so bad about San Francisco?"
"The Mist is really strong there and the Roman stuff too I guess." Percy said
"The Mist is really thick… I kept my mouth shut.
"Yeah I would've thought that you were an idiot seeing as how we got along before." Thalia said, sounding apologetic
The afternoon sun shone… The same kind of toughness.
Zoe and Thalia smiled at each other.
The others looked at them.
"You know, he's right." Annabeth smiled
Right now, sitting in the shadows with a gloomy expression, Thalia looked a lot like one of the Hunters.
"The old Thalia would zap you ten meters far if you would have said it instead of thinking it." Grover winced
"I'm glad I didn't." Percy said
Then suddenly, it hit me… but she just sighed
"You got it right." Annabeth grinned
Percy smiled.
"I almost joined them," she admitted… old movie projector.
"Thalia-" Jason started
Then he noticed Percy shaking his head so hard that Jason was afraid it would fall off.
Thalia looked at Jason but there was an edge to it.
Jason swallowed and didn't say anything.
"That's harsh," I said… "Even if that means killing him?"
Everybody groaned.
"Percy." They said in exasperation.
"How many times-?" Annabeth sighed
Percy grinned sheepishly.
"Do me a favor," she said… Maybe you should think about why."
"Are you serious?" Triton asked
"That was totally unnecessary Thals." Annabeth frowned
"You can't just blame it on him." Chris scowled
Thalia grimaced.
Before I could respond… Lexus's air conditioner.
Everybody snickered.
Grover blushed.
As I watched the sun go down… bear that had been run over by a truck.
Everybody burst out laughing.
"I feel offended." Apollo said, flourishing a mock hurt hand to his chest, though he was grinning
Percy chuckled.
"If it weren't for dreams," he said… They tell me cool stuff."
"I'm not really sure that my dreams are what you call 'cool'." Percy said
"I have to admit, they aren't." Apollo agreed
"Apollo?" I guessed, because I figured nobody else could make a haiku that bad.
"Hey!" Apollo protested
"You know that." Percy said
"Fine." Apollo pouted
He put his finger to his lips… "A god named Fred?"
"That is so weird." Travis laughed
"Eh, well…Zeus insists on certain rules. Hands off, when there's a human quest. Even when something really major is wrong. But nobody messes with my baby sister. Nobody."
"I'm not your little sister." Artemis said, though she was smiling.
She was quite touched.
"Can you help us, then?"… I don't like it."
"It was so pissing off." Apollo complained
"I can imagine how horrible it would be." Percy agreed
"And Annabeth?"… Hmm. I don't know."
"That came out so wrong." Apollo flinched
I tried not to feel mad. I knew the gods had a hard time taking mortals seriously, even half-bloods. We lived such short lives, compared to the gods.
"Yeah armed cockroaches." Leo snickered
The demigods laughed.
The gods winced though they knew the demigods were laughing.
"What about the monster… obscure from my Oracle."
"Wow, the oracle knows almost everything." Rachel said in amazement.
Apollo nodded.
"But it's your Oracle," I protested… through the search."
"He doesn't know." Hermes chuckled
Apollo stuck his tongue out at his brother.
"In other words… I was closing my eyes.
Poseidon and Percy fell asleep.
In my dream… tightly gripping my hand.
"He's Hercules." Leo said
Zoe closed her eyes.
"Hurry!" she said… faintly in the starlight.
Beckendorf looked at Zoe, her eyes we closed and he figured out that the girl was her.
We raced up the side… Stronger than I'd ever felt before.
Zeus smirked.
Thalia and Jason saw this and scowled.
"There is no need to run," I told her. My voice sounded deeper, much more confident. "I have bested a thousand monsters with my bare hands."
"Arrogant fool." Thalia muttered
Zeus blinked at her.
"Not this one," the girl said… "I don't trust your father," I said.
"Who does?" Thalia snorted
"You should not," the girl agreed… me, pretty one?"
"Jerkules." Percy managed to say through his curse sleep.
Everybody looked at him.
"How did he manage to go against the curse?" Ares asked
"Loyalty." Nico muttered
"But the Fates put the magic." Hermes said
Everybody shrugged.
Apollo continued reading with difficult.
"I…I am afraid… My immortal power."
"She gave that idiot her immortal power." Thalia growled
"He's a hero Thalia." Zeus said
"My foot dad, don't talk about what you don't know." She growled
Zeus was taken aback.
The girl breathed… The girl I had seen was Zoë Nightshade.
"He. Did. Not. Give. Her. Credit." Clarisse growled
Percy and Poseidon had woken up.
"No he didn't." Percy glared at nothing in particular.
"Let's take a break to stretch." Chiron said
Everybody went outside.
