Percy left the room without waiting for anybody. Poseidon looked at Annabeth, Triton and Tyson.

"I think he needs some space." Annabeth said, though she wanted to be with him

Poseidon nodded reluctantly.

Hades and Nico went to their quarters. The demigods were worried about the three of them. Will wanted to go with Nico but his brothers told him that Nico might want to spend some time with his dad.

They all walked to their quarters.

Percy came to his dad's quarters in an hour. His eyes were still rimmed with red.

"Can I have something to eat?" he asked

Poseidon nodded at once, worried out of his mind for his son.

"What would you like?" he asked

"Anything really." Percy said

"Would you like some pancakes?" Triton asked

"I'd love it, thanks." Percy smiled but it didn't reach his eyes.

Poseidon went to Hestia and asked her for pancakes and went back to his quarters.

"Here son." He said and gave them to Percy.

Percy thanked him and went to his room.

He came out around 6pm. His friends had all stopped by the quarters but Percy was still in his room. Hestia came into the quarters and went into Percy's room. Chiron wanted to go too but he wasn't great at pep-talks and he didn't want to make Percy feel worse.

"Percy, what's wrong? You don't blame yourself right?" Hestia asked

"I'm just thinking actually." He said

"Do you want some space?" she asked

"Maybe." He said

Hestia nodded, patted him on the shoulder and left.

"He wants some space." She told Poseidon

Poseidon felt a little upset.

"How are Nico and Hades?" he asked finally

"They're doing better. Thalia, Zoe and Grover were also crying a little but their parent or patron or their friends have talked to them. Annabeth is really worried about Percy but Athena is telling her to give him some time." Hestia said

Poseidon nodded and thanked her.

Percy came out after an hour.

"Hey dad, I want some fresh air so I'm going to the beach." He said

Poseidon smiled and agreed.

Percy went and sat by the beach the whole night.

Poseidon was worried like crazy, he went out and checked by the beach around dawn. His son had fallen asleep to the sound of the waves. He sat down there for some time and picked up his son and carried him to his quarters.

"What happened to brother?" Tyson asked, who had woken up

"He fell asleep." Poseidon chuckled

He went inside Percy's room and set him on the bed. He looked at his son for some time and saw that all of Percy's worry seemed to have vanished. He thought if all the demigods slept so peacefully and were clouded with worry in the morning. The thought didn't make him feel any better.

Percy woke up two hours later, brushed his teeth and went directly to the throne room

"Wasn't I by the beach?" he asked his dad once everybody got there

"Yeah but you fell asleep so I got you back." Poseidon said

"Oh okay thanks dad." Percy smiled

"No problem."

"Did you eat anything?" Thalia asked

"Yeah I grabbed some bread." Percy said

"You know another question would be, did you sleep last night?" Nico asked, worriedly

"Not too well, I mean I slept late but it doesn't matter, at least I got some sleep." Percy admitted

Nico knitted his eyebrows.

"Leave me but how are you two?" Percy asked Nico and Hades

"Better." Hades admitted

"Great." Percy grinned

"Shall we continue with the reading?" Chiron asked

"I'll read." Hazel said and she grabbed the book.

I HAVE A DAM PROBLEM

Thalia, Grove and Percy burst out laughing. Zoe chuckled.

"We can finally understand the meaning of their dams." Travis said

"You can't use it though." Thalia said

Travis chuckled.

At the edge of the dump…"We need to keep moving."

Zeus nodded.

She navigated us through…insult after losing Bianca.

The quest group looked down.

My hand closed around…because he might start bawling.

"It was a very sudden experience and I knew that he was out there. It was hard for me to know that and not search for him but I wanted to find Annabeth and Artemis too." Grover said

At least there's one good thing…talking about in the front of the truck.

"Nothing much." Zoe shrugged.

The tow truck ran out of gas…Immediately, one of the tires blew

A few people snickered.

"Great. What now?"… But I didn't like them.

"You want them to go up a goat path?" Leo asked

"Hey it was the only option I saw." Grover defended.

"Okay okay." Leo said

Then I looked over at Thalia…"A walk won't hurt us."

"Thanks Percy." Thalia grinned

"Ah no problem." Percy grinned back

"That was very considerate." Jason smiled

Percy gave him a gentle smile.

"I didn't know, sorry Thals." Grove winced

"I never told anybody Grover." Thalia smiled

I glanced at Thalia…"The rapids are too swift."

"I was upset about Bianca, I was crying most of the time." Zoe sighed

"You're okay now right?" Percy asked

"Yes." Zoe smiled

"Percy can handle the rapids." Poseidon said proudly

Percy chuckled.

"Leave that to me," I said…"You know."

"He should be able to." Triton nodded

"I think so…She's…she's starting to worry me."

"I thought she was going to go into depression or something. She was also blaming herself for Bianca's death. Luckily Grover wasn't blaming himself. I was frustrated too. It was the first time we lost somebody on a quest. Zoe was like on the brink." Thalia said and sighed

"You're right." Zoe said

"You said you're." Thalia grinned

"Well I have to learn." Zoe said

Nico and Hades raised their eyebrows. Apparently Bianca's death had affected almost everybody on the quest. This made Nico all the more guiltier about blaming Percy.

It was about the last thing…liked her when she wasn't yelling at me.

Everybody chuckled.

Thalia and Percy smiled at each other.

She turned and helped Grover…that they were underwater

"They should help out." Amphitrite said

Hey, I said…understanding naiads.

"You're not the only one." Triton snorted

Percy laughed.

We're heading upstream, I told them…hooves sticking up in the air.

Everybody snickered.

"I hate naiads," Zoë grumbled.

"They're not going to like that." Triton warned

A stream of water squirted up…Zoë went for her bow

"They're only playing." Poseidon said

Zoe sighed.

"Whoa," I said…I let her go."

"You don't think that way anymore, do you?" Nico asked

"Not much, I cleared my head yesterday, sitting by the beach and in my room." Percy said

"That's a relief." Nico said

"What did you do?" Persephone asked

"Just thought and created some huge waves." Percy shrugged

"You create waves just to blow off steam without getting tired?" Zeus asked in horror

"I do get tired but not much." Percy said

Poseidon grinned.

I figured this would give…out of feeling depressed.

"You would blame yourself to make somebody else feel better?" Persephone asked

"Not anybody, just people I care about." Percy said

Persephone nodded, amazed by the half-blood.

Instead, her shoulders slumped…would be the next lieutenant."

"You knew you were going to die all along?" Thalia asked

Zoe nodded.

"But you're the lieutenant"… nothing you could have done."

"He's right." Artemis said

Zoë didn't answer…boys want to be just like him?"

"No, he's somebody I definitely don't want to be like. Instead he is the person I want to be least like, I mean except any of the titans or giants obviously but then they can't be counted as people." Percy said, turning a little sheepish at the end

Zoe smiled and Poseidon chuckled.

Her voice was so bitter…but he took all the credit."

"That person is a jerk." Travis said

Every demigod in the room had clenched their fists and the ones who were on the quest were growling. Even Grover looked murderous.

Zeus' eyes widened. They didn't seem to like his son much. He would have to talk to his daughter and son at some point but he reconsidered it. He didn't want to ruin the relation he had with his children since they got here.

"But—"…"I wish she were here," I said

Annabeth's face brightened.

"The annoying was a compliment." Grover grinned

Annabeth chuckled.

"You all listened." She said happily

"Of course we did Wise Girl, it's also kind of hard not to." Percy said

Annabeth grinned and stuck her tongue at Percy who returned the same gesture.

The others nodded…Just to say we've been."

"That's nice but you have a quest to do." Annabeth smiled

"You are mad," Zoë decided.

"You realized that now?" Thalia laughed

Percy pouted.

"But that's where the road is"… I don't like that."

"That's not good. You don't want to be surrounded again." Hermes said

"We got out." Percy smirked at Rachel who playfully rolled her eyes.

I didn't either…. "They think it's good luck."

Everybody snickered.

"That's crazy." Leo said

"Why?"… They're just big metal statues."

Thalia winced.

"You know that's the kind of attitu-" Poseidon started

"Dad just wait please." Percy asked

Poseidon blinked and relaxed

I thought about the last big…"I want to buy a dam T-shirt."

Grover, Thalia and Percy were rolling on the floor in laughter.

The others were cracking up as well.

Zoe was laughing too. Maybe she didn't understand the joke completely but it did bring back memories with those three for her.

I busted up…The smile melted off my face

Everybody stopped laughing immediately.

I wondered if the noise…She was telling me to hurry

"It was definitely trying to wan you, there is some big danger coming." Poseidon said, worriedly

"I can't," I told her…his face changing momentarily into a skull.

Everybody groaned.

"Why do they keep popping up" Leo groaned

I ran for the visitor center…I was surrounded.

Poseidon bit back a groan.

"Again?" Beckendorf groaned

"Yeah." Percy said

"I hate those guys." Grover said

I bolted down the stairs…Where was the dam snack bar?

Everybody snickered.

"The dam makes perfect sense here." Connor laughed

"Stop!" The metal-detector guy yelled…the elevator hardly ever breaks."

"Well the hardly ever is assuring." Poseidon snorted

Athena and Percy exchanged a look which nobody saw.

"Does this go to the snack bar?" I asked her…clever enough to find it."

"Mom?" Annabeth asked

Athena smiled.

Zeus looked at her.

"Even you?" he asked

"Obviously, my daughter was in trouble." Athena said

Annabeth smiled.

The doors closed with the tour guide…I didn't.

"Well I'm glad you don't want to get churned." Silena laughed

Percy grinned.

Another tour guide was talking over the microphone…like the voice of a skeleton.

Rachel grinned.

Percy looked sheepish.

Without thinking…sword past security?"

Everybody roared with laughter.

"Is that Rachel?" Pipe choked out

Percy nodded.

The laughter increased.

"Wow, Rachel's nose is equal to skeletons." Leo laughed

It took everybody five minutes to calm down.

"My stomach hurts." Hazel laughed

"Ours too." Everybody chorused.

This led to another round of laughter. They all stopped after another five minutes.

Hazel managed to continue reading.

"I didn't— Wait, you can see it's a sword?"… Poking them with a fork.

Everybody snickered.

"I didn't do that." Rachel laughed

"I wouldn't put it past you." Percy laughed

Rachel stuck her tongue out at him.

"Well, it's either a sword or the biggest toothpick in the world," she said.

"Let's go with biggest toothpick." Percy snickered

"And why didn't it hurt me... brown winter coat to me.

"The people who can see through the mist can see through even the disguise." Hazel said, pausing in the middle.

Percy nodded.

I knew the skeleton warriors…Maybe I could manipulate the Mist.

"It won't work, you need practice." Thalia said

"Which reminds me, when can we start with the lessons Chiron?" Percy asked

"We can start after this book." Chiron said

Percy nodded.

I concentrated hard and snapped my fingers…I'd left a mortal girl out there to die.

"They won't kill mortals." Hades said

"Good to know." Rachel said

"Anyway the Oracle spirit protects you now." Apollo winked

Rachel grinned.

I was preparing to burst out and fight when Rachel Elizabeth Dare started talking in that rapid-fire machine gun way of hers.

"Hey!" Rachel protested

"Sorry." Percy said, sheepishly

"Oh my god…Her face was gray and sweaty.

"It was so freaky. I mean those skeletons…" Rachel shuddered

I peeked around the corner…"Yeah. That, too."

"He's not wrong, it would save you from going insane." Castor said

"But who are you?"… I bolted for the exit.

Everybody snickered.

"Hey Percy Gotta-go." Leo said, waving his hand

"Hey what's up?" Percy grinned

Everybody laughed.

The café was packed with kids…cafeteria and clattered their teeth.

Everybody tensed.

"Elevator!" Grover said…totally Grover-like idea.

Percy and Grover grinned at each other.

"Yeah both of their crazy ideas help out and work somehow." Annabeth said fondly

"Burrito fight!" he yelled, and flung his Guacamole Grande at the nearest skeleton.

Everybody laughed.

"Good one Grover!" Leo said

Grover grinned.

Now, if you have never been hit by a flying burrito…drinks were flying everywhere.

Everybody burst out laughing.

"Go Grover!" the demigods whooped

Grover blushed and grinned.

In the chaos, Thalia and I tackled the other two skeletons…asked as we burst outside.

"That was an awesome idea." Travis said

"Wicked." Connor said

"Lit." the Apollo kids said

"Insane." The Dionysus kids

Everybody laughed.

"We just used the name of our dad's domain." The Apollo kids and Dionysus kids laughed

"Yeah, we're changing mine to mischievous." The Stolls grinned

Everybody laughed louder.

I didn't have an answer…The blessing of Zeus.

"Ancient Laws!" all the gods yelled

The demigods roared with laughter.

Zeus turned red.

I thought about the tour guide…"He won't answer me."

"Wait you were nervous to call up on me because of that?" Zeus asked guiltily

Thalia looked down and nodded.

Zeus looked guilty.

"But you did help this time." Thalia smiled

Zeus gave a faint smile.

Hera was a little mad at Thalia.

"This time is different…help us save her daughter.

Athena nodded approvingly.

And nothing happened…skeletons went flying across the road.

Everybody clapped.

"Good timing." Beckendorf said, in relief

Everybody nodded.

"Man, it feels good to stand up!" the first angel said…what were those tourists thinking?"

Everybody chuckled.

As stunned as I was by the angels…"Please!"

Everybody burst out laughing.

"Hilarious angel." Leo snickered

The angels looked at each other and shrugged…echoing off the sides of the mountains.

"Done." Hazel said

"That was a relatively funny chapter though it was serious." Pollux said

Everybody nodded.

"I'll read." Leo said

Hazel gave him the book with a smile which he returned.

Leo flipped to the correct page and started.
