Here is chapter 2 of my new fanfiction. Hope you are enjoying it. The video I used was from M.S Interior Design on YouTube. I don't own anything that belongs to Disney, Pixar, or the video. I just used it as a guide for the mansion in the last chapter. Everyone stay home, stay safe.

Peter had been in the room crying for 2 hours. He had cried himself to sleep, and a hand touching his shoulder is what woke him up. "May?" Peter had asked unconsciously.

The person who he saw in front of him reminded him of the disappointing reality. "No. It's July." Dash had said out of confusion.

"Right." Peter just brushes it off, not wanting to get into what he meant. "What's going on?"

"Mom told me to get you. Dinner is ready." the almost teen says.

Peter gets up and follows Dash to the kitchen. It was about 6, around the normal time Peter and May would have dinner before he would go out and dawn the alter ego. In fact, he planned on sneaking out to go patrolling. Just cause he isn't in New York, doesn't mean he isn't going to stop fighting crime.

Dinner was a little bit louder than dinner with him and his Aunt. And Peter was surprised that the family used their powers very openly with each other. Another idea Peter was getting used to. Bob and Helen were talking about their jobs, Dash and Violet had fun with their friends. Then came a question from Dash. "So Peter, Mom and Dad said that you are Spider-Man?"

"Dash." His father started to scold.

Peter quickly said to the man, "No, it's okay." Looking at Dash, he continues, "Yeah. I'm Spider-Man."

Dash's eyes widen with excitement. "What's it like swinging through the sky?"

"It's like no other feeling. You feel the cool air in your face, and when you let go of the web, for just a second, you feel like you can fly." Peter smiles for a second. "What are your powers Dash?"

"I have Super Speed!" The 12 year old demonstrates by running around the kitchen. Due to Peter's enhanced senses, he is able to follow the young boy pretty well. But Peter has to blink for a second, and then Dash is back in his seat.

"Wow! You could set school records in P.E." Peter says. Dash smiles a little. "What about you, Violet, right? What are your powers?"

"I can turn invisible, and can project force fields." The girl explains.

Peter is genuinely impressed. "Wow. Invisibility is something I could have used a couple of times."

Bob speaks up. "I'm sure. I've seen some of the stuff you do on the news. That's pretty dangerous."

Peter replies, "It's pretty safe, compared to what YOU used to do as Mr. Incredible. I've read the stories. Bomb Voyage is definitely intriguing."

"Well, I didn't start fighting crime until I was finished with high school. And I am like the Hulk. Indestructible." Bob asks the teen, "How old are you anyways? 14?"

"I'm 16." Peter says a little aggressively.

Before things can get even more tense, Helen says, "16? Wow. You and Violet are in the same grade." That seems to calm everyone down a little bit. "So, how were you able to stop all the crimes so fast? Did you work with the police?"

"I worked with the police for the last few months. At first I would just patrol the city and wait if there was anything suspicious."

This time Violet speaks up. "I remember hearing about the different people you were putting in jail the first few months. They had similar traits as each other. Caucasian, long blonde hair?" Peter looks down. "Were you trying to find someone?" Peter doesn't answer.

"Patrolling the streets at night is one way to look for trouble." Peter hears Bob say.

It takes Peter a second to keep his cool and ask, "You don't think I can be Spider-Man, do you?"

"I'm just saying. Why didn't you listen to the police scanners? That's a safer way of doing things."

"Because by the time the police get to the scene, the bad guys are already gone. Do you know how many muggings, rapes, and assaults are not reported? Better yet, never caught?" When Bob doesn't answer, Peter continues with his point. "Plenty enough. When you are in danger, the only thing you want to do is call for help. But they can't scream or call because they have a pistol pointed at their head. Sometimes, there are no witnesses, so it becomes her word against his. If I'm looking for crime to stop, I have a better chance of surviving because I have powers. Looking for crime to stop increases the chances that someone is going home to their families. The police can only report and do so much." Peter silently eats again.

Bob reflects for a second. "But what could cause you to do something so careless to your family?"

Peter snaps. "Don't talk about my family! You don't know a DAMN THING!" Struggling to regain his composure, the young teen shakily asks, "Can I be excused?" Helen nods.

Peter races to the room his backpack was in. After slamming the door, he breathes in and out. After a few minutes, Peter decides that he was done with dinner. Looking at his backpack, he thinks of an idea. Was it going to get him in trouble later? Sure. But was it better than staying in a room that wasn't his? Hell yeah.

"Bob?" Helen asks her husband, "What is wrong with you? He is struggling with the loss of his aunt. I lost a good friend! I can't imagine the emotions he is feeling loosing another family member."

"I thought that he lived with his aunt after his parents died." Bob says confused. "That's what you told me."

"Yeah, but I ALSO told you that he lost his uncle. If I had to guess, his powers may have had something to do with it."

Bob sighs. "So by me saying, why would you do something so careless to your family, it probably brought up a memory." Bob sits up and leaves the table. "I need to talk to him." As he goes to the room, the children stay silent.

However, Violet says, "Why is Dad so against Peter looking for crime to stop? I actually agree with Peter on this."

"Because like you guys and me, your father had supers for parents. Bob and I have never actually heard of supers being raised in non super families. And someone so young is bound to sometimes be more trouble than helpful."

Violet understands.

Bob knocks on the door to the bedroom. "Peter, can we talk?" No response. "Look, I'm sorry about what I said, you doing something careless to your family. I had no right to say that. Will you please come back to dinner with us?" Again, no answer. But this time, he hears what sounds like a thwip. And then a sound of something leaving. "Peter?" Bob opens the door, and what he sees makes him go, "Uh-oh."

Helen hears Bob yell, "Honey!"

Then everyone runs to the room. They find Peter's backpack opened, and the clothes he just had on off. Then they look towards the window which is wide open. Violet says what everyone was thinking. "Looks like someone needs to beat up some criminals."

Peter feels bad for swinging away from the house, but the teen needed to clear his head. He swung through the trees in the woods for a few minutes before coming to a road. He saw some of the cars coming through the street, and decided to hitch a ride to the city from a pick-up truck.

He was sure that to the cars behind, he was a stowaway. But after he came into the city, which was a lot like New York, he knew that the others realized that the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man had taken up root in Metroville.

Peter swung from building to building, his wrists and body responding to every little movement he made out of pure reflex. The air flowing into his nose and through his suit. The young teen heard what sounded like glass breaking. Making sure everyone was okay, the Arachnid themed hero saw that it wasn't just glass breaking, it was robbers trying to escape.

Swinging into action, Peter quickly lands in front of the bad guys. "Hello locals. I'm Spider-Man. I recently moved to town. I was hoping you could point me to the nearest shopping center?"

After taking a second to process who was in front of them, one of the guys shouts, "Shoot him!"

The bags of jewels are dropped to the ground. Now I don't have to worry about paying for anything. Spider-Man flips to behind the group and throws a bad guy into his friend. The other 3 who drew their pistols start to shoot. But Spidey thwips the gun out of the hand of one, and dodges the other 2 shooters. Spider-Man then webs up the guy without a gun, and flings him over to the other 2 shooters. Peter was about to swing away when his Spidey sense goes off. Flipping out of the way of a still conscious robber, he yanks the gun out of his hand, and throws the pistol at his head, knocking him out cold.

Peter looks at his handiwork, and makes sure that ALL of them were out. With that, one of the people who were on the sidewalk calls the cops, and NOW the hero swings away. After a few minutes, Peter lands on the roof of one of the business buildings and takes off his mask. He sighs and ends up sitting on the ledge to really take in the view of where he would be protecting. Hopefully this Daredevil will take care of New York.

Pretty quickly, Peter hears the door behind him open, and he puts on his mask and prepares to fight. But then he sees someone in a red suit with an i in the center of it. And the person wearing the suit seems pretty short. "Hey Peter. Glad I found you."

The teen recognizes the voice. "Dash?"

"Yeah it's me. Violet is down in the car. Mom and Dad are waiting for you at home." Dash explains.

"Why didn't they come and get me themselves?" Peter wonders.

Dash takes a second to remember what they said. "They said that if they were the ones that found you, Mom was going to hold you so Dad can use you as a punching bag."

Peter sighs, and heads down with the kid. Once they get to the stairs, Dash smiles. "Wanna race?" Peter doesn't even answer. He just throws himself through the gap between the stairs. And the race is on. Because Dash was caught off guard, he was behind on the race for just a second. He quickly caught up. And Dash was worried that Peter was going to go splat, but at the last second, Peter shot a web, and comes to a halt before he reaches the ground.

"I win." Peter says as he touches the ground.

"Well, you cheated. I didn't even get to say go." Dash complains.

Peter responds, "Well, with your superspeed, I shouldn't even have won. Don't worry. You'll get faster."

The 2 boys exit the building and Peter sees what looks like the Incredibile. Violet was sitting in the front and driving. Dash got in the back, and Peter got in the front. Once she hears both seatbelts click, she drives off.

The 3 children take off their masks. And Violet says, "What were you thinking?!"

Peter was not prepared for this. "What do you mean?"

"Sneaking out? Going into a city you don't even know? We are lucky Dash has superspeed so he can find your webbing and see what building you are on!"

Peter tries to defend himself. "Hey, wait a second. I'm going to be protecting the city as Spider-Man from now on. I think I have a right to patrol when I feel like it."

"No after you and my Dad get into an argument!" Violet sighs. "You had us worried Peter. We didn't know if you were running away with nothing or if you just needed to blow off some steam."

"I had your Dad worried?" Peter asks. "Your Dad has no reason to worry about me. I have powers, I can take care of myself. I grew up in NEW YORK for crying out loud!"

"Ugh. Boys. All the same. They don't understand the consequences of their actions."

"Don't you DARE!" Peter shouts, causing Violet to swerve. "I know ALL ABOUT the consequences of my actions! You and your family don't understand ANYthing! So before you say something to me about responsibility, or anything that would sound similar to that, make sure you have all the facts. Because believe ME, I KNOW the consequences of my actions!"

Violet waits a minute before asking, "So, what happened?"

Peter just shakes his head. "I don't wanna talk about it."

Violet is smarter than most would take her for. Nobody thinks she is stupid, but they are often surprised by her intelligence. "You lost someone. Didn't you? You didn't do what you said you would do? And because you didn't, you lost someone close to you."

Peter sighs. She was going to hear about it sooner or later. Adults usually like to prod at your past until you spit it out. "My Uncle. I had shouted. We were having an argument about responsibility. I ran off. He tried to chase after me. I went into a convivence store to buy a drink. I didn't have enough money, and the guy wouldn't let go of 2 cents. As I was leaving, the guy behind me had knocked over one of the stands. When the cashier kneeled down to pick up the mess, the blonde man had robbed the register. He threw me my drink, and I let him get away. When the cashier had asked me to help him catch the guy, I ignored him off. My Uncle was walking on the sidewalk. When he saw the guy trip and the gun came out, he tried to stop him. My Uncle to a bullet to the stomach and bled out on the street."

Violet couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He lost his Uncle, now his Aunt. And with the events of his Uncle's death, it's no wonder why he blows up when someone says he is being irresponsible. "Was this before, or after your powers?"

"After." Peter goes on. "One day, I was supposed to pick up my Aunt from the train. I didn't get home until very late. At that point, she was already home. That's when me and my Uncle started arguing about responsibility." Peter sighs. "He died because of a random incident. That's why I look for crimes to stop. Because my Uncle wasn't targeted. He was just there. But what if someone IS targeted, or they are just in the wrong place at the wrong time? I just don't want anyone to lose someone the way I lost my Uncle."

It was silent the rest of the drive. Violet passes the driveway, and continues to a secrete part of the house away from the road. A garage opens, and the 3 kids enter. After shutting off the car, Violet says, "I'm sorry Peter. I didn't know about your Uncle."

"It's okay." Peter sighs. "I'm sorry for blowing up at you and your Dad."

"It's okay." Violet and Peter looked at each other.

Dash interrupts. "I believe that we have 2 angry parents waiting." That helps bring the 2 16 year old's come back to reality. On the way to the living room, Dash continues, "I'm gonna be honest, I don't ever remember watching someone ELSE get in trouble, so this is all very new to me."

As they get to the living room, Peter sees the 2 parents. And they did NOT look happy. "What were you thinking?!"

"Sorry." Dash says. Then realization hits him. "Wait! It's not my fault this time!"

Peter sighs. "Look. I know I was wrong to swing off like that. I just needed to blow off some steam. I stopped a jewel theft though. That was fun."

"Peter," Helen says, "This is not New York. This is a completely different place. If you want to go somewhere, just let one of us know, and we will make sure that someone takes you. Either Dash, Violet, or me and Bob." Helen wraps her arms around the teen. "I'm glad you are back safe."

Helen lets go, and Peter looks towards Bob. "Look, I'm sorry about what I said, about bringing up your family, and saying you weren't being responsible."

"It's okay." Peter says what he said to Violet just a minute ago in the car. "I'm sorry for yelling at you and running off. I shouldn't do that."

"It's alright. We just don't want to lose you when we haven't even had you for 24 hours." Bob looks at Peter's suit. He hadn't gone to his room to change yet, but the older man states, "You need a new suit. Top to bottom. Redesign."

Peter sighs. "I know. I've been saving some money. I've been thinking about switching to spandex."

"Well, you can save your money for something else. I know someone who makes super suits for free." Bob says.

The teen looks at him confused. "What sane person would make a super suit for free? Wouldn't you need to bribe them and then pray that they don't spill the beans?"

Bob looks at him with a slight look of concern? "Yeah, the thing is, she is not exactly completely sane. And she's a lifelong friend of mine. She has designed almost every superhero's suit for the past 30 years."

"Wow." is the only thing Peter can say. "When do we go?"

Bob smiles. "I'll take you tomorrow. I have a feeling that she will enjoy working on your suit. She's a big fan, and has been wanting to meet you."

With that, Peter stays up for a few more hours, and then goes to bed. Dash on his bed, and Peter on his. Things are looking up for Parker. A new suit. FOR FREE!

Peter kept replaying that Bedtime Stories line in his head even in his dreams.

Alright. There you go. What is Peter's new suit going to look like? We shall see! Till next time, and remember, stay home, stay safe. And just wear the mask.
