Iris's POV
Veemon collapsed and complained about being hungry. At the moment we were all in the Digi World looking for a new Digi Egg. My stomach growled too much to my annoyance.
"Hey guys I think I see a restaurant across the lake!" T.K. announced getting our attention.
An hour later all of us were happily full from the good food.
Yolei decided to take care of the bill. However she began to argue with a Digitamamon who didn't want human currency.
"Holy egg shells! Princess Iris!" the ultimate exclaimed when he saw me. The poor guy was no doubt embarrassed. "You know what forget the check the meal is on the house!"
"That was nice of you" I told the ultimate as I approached him. "Thank you"
I placed a hand on top of his shell and patted it.
"Hey guys" a familiar voice called.
We all turned around to see Mimi with a blonde haired guy next to her. Yolei got hearts in her eyes no doubt crushing on the guy. Mimi introduced Michael to us along with his partner Betamon. The gang were very interested about Michael since he was a fellow Digi Destined.
Mimi's friend explained he became a Digi Destined four years ago when he saw a Gorillamon back in New York. It was also the same time frame when Myotismon took over Tokyo.
"You okay?" Michael asked me when he saw I shuddered.
"Yeah I'm fine but that summer is something I'd rather forget" I admitted.
It still made me sick I had once loved Myotismon let alone being intimate with him when I was under the control of my inner darkness.
"I still can't believe the Digimon Princess came to my restaurant!" Digitamamon blurted out excitedly. "Sorry I don't get excited often"
"Now I remember you" T.K. said to the ultimate. "You used to be one of Myotismon's henchmen and you made two of our fellow Digi Destined work in the kitchen and you also got mad when Matt asked to get half price on yours meals"
"I also have to apologize" Demi interrupted T.K. "I was an ass"
The rookie was blushing feeling embarrassed too.
"You were trying to stay alive brother" Kiba stated to her twin.
"I admit I was a rotten egg back then but I'm not now" Digitamamon continued. "I like being on the right side for once"
"Your also one hell of a cook dude" Isaac praised the ultimate.
Suddenly the ground shook and all of us went outside to see what was causing the chaos. Across the lake a Gorillamon appeared and he had a Dark Spiral on because his eyes glowed red. The monkey champion prepped his weapon and it wasn't long until he unleashed his attack. Suddenly Digitamamon leapt into the air and he pulled his legs into his shell. The blast hit the ultimate and the egg digimon was sent flying away from us.
The poor guy hit part of his roof which I doubt wasn't going to make him happy. Michael decided to deal with Gorillamon and Betamon glowed green as he jumped into the water. A second later a Seadramon surfaced.
"Glad we have a Seadramon on our side" Kiba said.
Gorillamon didn't take long to jump into the air and flung himself onto Seadramon. Both champion digimon went under the surface and it wasn't long until Michael realized Seadramon was in trouble.
Palmon was quick to digivolve to Togemon and no sooner had her evolution finished did Gorillamon shoot out of the water. Togemon was quick to throw punches at Gorillamon and her blows were hard enough to shatter the Dark Spiral on Gorillamon.
The champion gorilla was quite confused when he regained consciousness. Mimi apologized to him and advised the champion to avoid the Digimon Emperor. Gorillamon thanked us before leaving he probably had one hell of a headache.
"Hey I'm worried about Digitamamon he tried to protect us" Yolei pointed out.
"Don't worry Kari, Issac, and I will go look for him" T.K. vowed.
A short evolution later my cousin, Kari, and T.K. flew off with Pegasusmon, Wvyernmon, and Nefertimon. I heard something from the woods close by and we all turned to see Digitamamon rolling down from a hill.
"Digitamamon are you okay?" Mimi questioned the ultimate.
"Yes no thanks to you" came a rude reply.
Kiba and Demi swore while I growled.
"He's under the control of a spiral" I informed Mimi.
Sure enough when Digitamamon's eyes reappeared they were glowing red. Yolei looked worried as did Mimi. Hawkmon armor digivolved to Halsemon and he was quick to get front of Mimi. A second later Halsemon was knocked over due to Digitamamon body slamming him.
"Let's go you two" I told Davis and Cody.
Kiba, Armadillomon,and Veemon armor digivolved to QueenXenomorphmon, Flamedramon, and Digmon. Flamedramon attacked first with his Fire Rocket however the fire attacks bounced off of Digitamamon's shell. Digmon tried using his Rock Cracking to get through the shell but it was useless.
"Get back!" Kiba warned Digmon and Flamedramon.
The male digimon obeyed as Kiba opened her mouth releasing her Emerald Flame.
"OW that hurts!" Digitamamon yelled as his shell opened back up. He stomped his feet and smoke came out of the crack in the shell.
"That's enough!" Yolei shouted.
She rushed over to Digitamamon and stopped in front of him.
"Digitamamon sometimes you can be the rudest digimon I've ever me! At first I thought you were an obnoxious waiter looking for a tip, this isn't you due to the Dark Spiral you have and I'll be damned if I'm going to stand by and let you hurt my friends!"
No sooner had she finished speaking did a glow of green light shoot out of the ground. The green object then levitated into the air and stopped in front of Yolei. It was the Digi Egg we've been looking for!
On the front was the Crest of Sincerity and Yolei took the egg into her grasp.
"Let's use it" Halsemon told his partner.
Yolei nodded as Halsemon reverted back to Hawkmon.
"Digi Armor Energize!" Yolei shouted.
With the Crest of Sincerity spinning behind him Hawkmon began his new evolution. Swarms of leaves surrounded the rookie as the forms of Palmon, Togemon, and Lilymon appeared behind the rookie. It wasn't long until Shurimon made his debut.
"Holy crap!" I exclaimed seeing the ninja digimon for the first time.
Shurimon tried to attack with his Double Star but Digitamamon receded back into his shell as the shuriken bounced off of him. Digitamamon then reopened his shell and attacked releasing a creepy looking black ghost with red eyes. Shurimon asked for Kiba, Flamedramon, and Digmon to protect Yolei.
The ninja digimon then took off while Flamedramon and Digmon got in front of Yolei and Kiba coiled her body around the purple haired teen. The male digimon caught the black ghost while Kiba used her body to shield Yolei.
Shurimon again used his Double Star and a large shuriken was sticking out from the entrance of Digitamamon's shell. The ultimate then turned around and began to run. Thankfully Pegasusmon and Nefertimon used their Golden Noose to stop Digitamamon in his tracks. Issac watched from Wvyernmon's back. With the ultimate now hanging upside down in then air could Shurimon destroy the Dark Spiral.
Sure enough Shurimon used his Double Star and this time the attack was able to get inside of Digitamamon's shell. A second later the ultimate coughed out pieces of the spiral. A few minutes later all of our digimon returned to their rookie forms and I approached the unconscious Digitamamon to see if he was injured.
Eventually the ultimate woke up wondering what happened.
"What happened?"
"You had a Dark Spiral in you and Yolei saved you" Mimi told Digitamamon.
Yolei blushed and I helped Digitamamon onto his feet and the ultimate walked over to the purple haired teen and thanked her. Before leaving the Digital World luck was on Yolei's side because Michael asked her out on a date.
Later.
Iris's POV
"Gah! Sometimes I hate being a band player" my beloved complained.
My mate was having trouble with coming up with a new song.
"Hey Iris what about that song from the last Hunger Games movie?" Kiba suggested.
"Don't spoil the story sis!" Demi reprimanded his twin.
"I'm not! I watched Mockingjay part 1 with Iris once and there's a good song the main character sings!" Kiba scolded her brother.
Matt and I have been busy to watch any more of the first Hunger Games movie. Matt looked interested at Kiba's idea.
"Can you sing it?" Matt said. "I actually like hearing Katniss singing to her sister"
Matt did like Katniss and I didn't blame him since she was a badass. I sighed before words of song left my lips.

I shivered when I finished the last verse. I then saw my mate had a shocked look on his face.
"What?"
"I didn't know you could sing" he stated.
"I uh well"
To be honest I was okay when it came to singing. My talents were more with herbs to be honest.
"I second with that you have a pretty voice Iris" Demi complimented. Kiba shot me an agreeing look before she suggested me and Matt have a moment alone. Once they were gone Matt put his guitar down and he approached the bed. Then he was sitting next to me.
"Anymore secrets your hiding?" he teased.
Damn that smirk of his!
"Watch it mate"
Matt chuckled before easily guiding my body and I was soon in his lap.
"I'm pretty sure you wouldn't flee even if I told you to" the blonde said.
"Of course I wouldn't not without you"
Matt placed his forehead against mine.
"Four years ago when you put yourself in front of WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and Kiba I was afraid of losing you"
I remembered what he was talking about. I took the attack Piedmon meant for the three mega leveled digimon and I ended up getting hurt which scared Matt. It was also when he said he loved me for the first time.
"I'm sorry I scared you back then" I apologized.
"I know you are" Matt replied. "Wanna know something else?"
I arched an eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"When you were with Myotismon I couldn't stand it"
Now it was my turn to smirk.
"Oh really?"
The blonde shut me up by giving me a mind blowing kiss which I rather enjoyed.
"Hanging Tree" and "Hunger Games belong to their respective creators. Also Matt won't be using "Hanging Tree" with his band he just wanted to hear Iris sing.
