Iris's POV
Magnamon's light continued to shine until Kimeramon decided to crash the party. Kiba was quick to grab me into her grasp and levitate away before the platform was destroyed by Kimeramon. Magnamon was able to get Davis out of harms way too.
"Brother take Iris I'm gonna help Magnamon deal with that mutt" Kiba said.
Demi nodded before taking me into his arms and I wished Kiba luck before Demi flew away.
Kiba's POV
"Grizzly Wing!" I shouted unleashing my many bats.
The bats temporally blinded Kimeramon and Magnamon gave the ugly thing a good punch which proved effective. I then joined Magnamon with beating the ever living crap of our opponent. Each kick and punch felt good. Well it did until Kimeramon used his attack and I got Magnamon out of the way before it caused us serious injury.
Iris's POV
Demi took me back to the others and it didn't take long to find Ken.
"I see you finally came to your senses and your ready to surrender to me and Kimeramon"
"For once in your life will you listen to Wormmon?!" I shouted making everyone jumped. I stood in front of the others and my body glowed silver for a moment before the light faded away.
I wore the same strapless dress I wore four years ago when I willingly put myself in harms way to protect WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, and Kiba.
"Kimeramon is out of control and you should be ashamed of yourself!"
Ken hissed at my words. I looked to the digimon behind me before glaring at Ken once more.
"Digimon are real creatures with feelings of their own, their not toys to satisfy your cruel desires"
I shot Wormmon a look of sympathy.
"Wormmon is genuinely worried for you and instead your using him as a damn punching bag"
Ken looked to Wormmon before saying Kimeramon was the only digimon suitable for him. Kimeramon suddenly decided to blast the damn place and Ken took off and Wormmon followed after him. The base shook and I caught the scent of fire.
"Oi! We need to get the hell out of here!" Issac yelled.
"Couldn't agree more!" I added.
The other digimon were quick to armor digivolve and Demi again scooped me into his arms.
"You look cute in the dress" the vampire joked.
I rolled my eyes as Digmon began to use his Gold Rush to blast a hole in the wall close by. The first time weakened the wall and the following one broke it. One by one we all exited the base and while Demi guided me to safety I looked behind us and saw the base eventually crash into the sand.
Kiba's POV
I could tell Kimeramon was beginning to tire out. Hell even a made up digimon got exhausted. I watched as Magnamon used his Magna Blast on the ultimate which seemed to weaken Kimeramon even more. The ultimate then shrieked and Magnamon was beginning to fall but I was quick to come to his aide. However one of Kimeramon's arms slapped me away from Magnamon and I soon was in one of Kimeramon's hands being squeezed hard as was Magnamon.
Iris's POV
"Kiba!" I screamed watching my partner possibly being squeezed to death.
"She'll be fine Iris" Demi reassured me.
I turned to Kiba's twin and hoped he was right. Suddenly something in the distance glowed and I realized it was Wormmon.
Kiba's POV
Magnamon was suddenly glowing gold like Wormmon was. The rookie ended body slamming Ken off of Devidramon before having it take flight. The champion body slammed the hand Magnamon was trapped and it did the same with me. Both Magnamon and I were freed and I watched with heartbreak as Wormmon was knocked off of Devidramon and then slapped away from us. The rookie begged us to save Ken before he gave Magnamon the last of his energy.
Iris's POV
"Demi get Wormmon" I ordered.
Seeing I wasn't messing around Demi flew off.
Kiba's POV
Magnamon advised I get out of the way and I did as he asked. Kimeramon flew fast towards Magnamon and my eyes widened when Magnamon used his Magna Explosion. The bright light made me use my cape to cover my eyes so I wouldn't get blinded. I heard Kimeramon being destroyed and I smirked before eventually reverting back to my rookie form.
Kiba's POV
"I gotcha sis" Demi said.
My twin was still in is ultimate form and not only only did he carry me in one arm but he also carried a wounded Wormmon.
Iris's POV
Demi returned with both Kiba and Wormmon.
"You kicked some serious ass good job partner" I said to Kiba who smirked weakly in her brother's arms. I then took Wormmon from Demi and got to work.
"Princess you don't have to save me" Wormmon countered.
"Don't talk"
If I didn't do something fast Wormmon would become deleted. I refused to let that happen. After determining his injuries in order to heal Wormmon it would exhaust me greatly. Close by the others were talking some sense into Ken. From the way Ken was reacting he was starting to understand the many horrible things he had done.
I focused my attention back to Wormmon and then did I released the full power of my healing. As Wormmon began to heal I felt my own energy slowly leaving my body. I didn't care though I would not let Wormmon suffer if I could help him. A few more minutes passed before I finally stopped healing Wormmon.
"Iris you okay?" Kari asked as she came over to me. She gasped when she saw Wormmon. The others joined her and were alarmed at my weakened state. My body glowed silver and my dress faded away as I picked up Wormmon into my arms. I then fell backwards and Isaac was quick to catch me.
"I'm okay" I reassured my friends and cousin before looking to Wormmon.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"I still feel weak but I will be fine now thank you Iris" the tired rookie answered. Footsteps made us look up and Ken was now back to his normal self.
"You've returned to your old self I knew you could do it"
"Wormmon"
Ken fell to his knees and apologized profusely.
"Is he?" Ken began and he looked to me.
"He's gonna be fine you have my word" I promised.
Ken looked to Wormmon then to me again.
"You healed him despite knowing it would weaken you"
"I know what's it like to lose someone you love" I responded.
Tears of relief went down Ken's face and he quietly thanked me before taking Wormmon from me and into his arms. Something glowing pink left Davis's hand and it went over to Ken. He took the Crest of Kindness into his grasp. After hugging Wormmon for a few more minutes did Ken stand up and told us he had to go.
I then finally lost consciousness and let sleep take over.
Matt's POV
"What the holy hell happened to Iris?" I demanded seeing my sleeping girlfriend in Issac's arms. The others had just returned from the Digital World.
"She's fine" Isaac replied. "She just used a lot of her healing gift to help a digimon"
Tai mumbled about my girlfriend being stubborn which was true. I sighed before walking over to Isaac and took Iris into my arms. I took her inside the cabin and lay her down while Dad packed the van up. Kiba and Demi were with me no doubt worried out of their minds about Iris.
A groan alerted us the stubborn she-wolf was waking up.
Iris's POV
I opened my eyes to see a very worried Matt along with the Demidevimon twins. Immediately both Kiba and her brother flung themselves on me fussing I overdid it with the healing. I apologized to the pair and once they felt I was okay did the siblings leave me and Matt alone.
The blonde was careful to bring me into his arms.
"Your taking a few days off to rest" my mate said.
"Yeah that would be smart I'm exhausted from the healing and the fighting"
"I'm proud of you though Iris" Matt continued. "Just try not to overdo it on healing next time"
"It's a deal babe now can we head back home? I need a real bed to sleep in"
Matt chuckled and he kissed my forehead before helping me stand up.
I couldn't kill off Wormmon y'all. Come on he's too freaking cute!
Also Ken won't be paired with Yolei in this story. He's gonna have a half human and half wolf shifter girlfriend who is also a Digi Destined and her name is Sage. Renamon will be her partner I'm excited!
