Hey guys, I'm back. This chapter was supposed to come out yesterday but I honestly forgot. Well, I'm here now and I'll start by replying to reviews.

Northstar Pokeshipper: Thanks for the support! And yeah, Eevee will be just as close to Ash as Pika(Why? I have plans for that)

Codyrodriguez26: Thanks for supporting and reviewing!

EllieJoFlow: Thanks for the support! I'm glad you like my story. Now, for your questions. 1) Yes. I do have plans for Greninja though I can say that he won't participate in the Alola League. 2) Tapu Koko will be a mix between the games and the anime, but leaning more towards the games. 3) There is honestly no real reason. I just wanted to make it that way as I've read many awesome ash-betrayed fanfics but most of them have Pikachu stick with Ash. If you're wondering how that's possible... well, this is a fanfic. 4) Yes, yes he is. I just love the outfit a lot. In the original one in wattpad, there's actually a picture of Ash. Well, I just like that outfit a lot. It was honestly that or the one from the 'Power of Us'. 5) Highly unlikely. I mean, don't get me wrong, Goh is a fun character, but I don't really know how to integrate him into the story. And don't worry about asking a lot of questions. I'm just glad you enjoyed this.

elflife.440: You're right, it doesn't make sense for Pikachu to do that. I have to be honest and say that I love Pikachu, but as I said above to EllieJoFlow, I just wanted to make things different. Also, I like Eevee way more than Pikachu. (For some reason f f . n e t won't let me write your username correctly so sorry about that)

Hawk2012: Thanks for the support! And about Ash's other Pokemons, well, they'll come after the Alola League(And don't worry, the plan for the story after Alola League is just as big as the Alola League). But, some Pokemon might appear in some chapters, but they won't be staying with Ash yet.

AshK1980: Thanks for all the support! and as for Pikachu, well, I've already explained up there.

Reader(Guest): Well, yeah. That's why I gave Lillie a starter. Because I wanted to make mine different. And I have my own plans for Lillie. I just don't see her as someone who would go for a battler career.

Ashpool(Guest): I've actually got a full team planned for Ash, Lillie, and Hau. The team was made from suggestions and ideas of readers from Wattpad. And Ash's is really different from his anime catches(Only 2 pokemon are the same as the anime)

Well, that's that. Next thing is that I've rewritten chapter 1, so if you want to read it then you can(It doesn't make much, if any, of an impact on the plot).

Another thing is, I need an OC from you guys. Now, my OC submissions are different from other people. Instead of you submitting multiple OCs at once, I'll instead take a limited number of OCs for every OC submissions. This time I'm only taking one and this OC will have the specific role of being a Team Skull admin. So, if you can submit one then I'll definitely appreciate it and if you don't then, well, I'll just make my own.

Well, that's all. I just have to say that I don't own Pokemon or any of its characters and other properties.

"This taste incredible!" Ash said as he gulped down the food in front of him

"Slow down Ash!" Lillie scolded.

"Glad you think so Ash" Kukui laughed. It's been two days since Ash battle with Hau. In those two days, Kukui had let Ash stay at his home, which Ash was grateful for. Sure, he had to sleep on the sofa but it's still better than most things Ash had slept on, and not to mention Kukui's amazing cooking.

Ash had not spent the two days slacking off either. After losing against Hau, Ash, Eevee, and Rowlet have been training so they could beat Hau and Litten at the festival, which is still a week away.

Lillie, after some persuasion from Ash and Kukui, had also joined in on the training, although to a lesser extent. She's not ready for an actual battle yet, but at least she's gotten the basic.

The pokémons have also been getting along nicely. Rowlet and Eevee quickly became best friends and they often play around with Popplio and Nebby.

On that note, it's probably best to mention now that Nebby is still, technically, a wild pokémon, as Lillie had not caught him yet. Ash had questioned Lillie about it but she just smiled at Ash. "Nebby is not from around here, he's from somewhere far away. I don't want to catch him, no. I want to help him find his home and help him get back to where he came from" She had said. Ash understood her reasoning and vowed to himself that he would help her if she needs it.

Back to the present, Ash Lillie and Kukui was having breakfast on a nice Sunday morning. On the other side of the room was the pokémon who were also enjoying their food.

"That was tasty!" Ash said as he finished his food. On the other side of the room, Eevee was doing pretty much the same thing.

Lillie sighed at Ash's antics as she finished her own food. "Honestly Ash, try to eat slowly for once" She scolded.

"Let him be Lillie," Kukui laughed. "He did spend the entire day training yesterday"

Lillie just huffed at what professor Kukui said. It seems that she's starting to come out of her shy self.

"So Ash, what are you going to do today?" Kukui asked.

"I was planning to check out the wild pokémons actually," Ash said as he returned Rowlet to his pokéball, with Eevee climbing up onto his shoulder. "Lillie, you wanna come?" Ash asked her while nibbling on a cookie.

Lillie thought about it for a moment before nodding. "It won't hurt to come I guess" She returned Popplio to her pokéball before grabbing her bag. She was about to put Nebby into the bag but she was interrupted by someone entering the house.

"A-lo-la!" Hau said as he walked in. "The salty breeze sang to me and brought me here to you" He grinned.

Ash blinked. "...What?"

"Hehe, it's nothing," Hau said with a laugh. "Just a poem I once read somewhere" Ash nodded in understanding.

"Alola Hau!" Kukui said. "What are you doing here this early?"

"I was bored, and it's a Sunday so I thought why don't I visit you guys," Hau said. He then notices the ladder that leads to Lillie's loft. "Is that a loft? Awesome!" He said.

"No, it's not!" Lillie said as she stood in front of the ladder. "It's private!" She said with a flustered look.

"Alright Lillie, I understand," Hau said with a laugh. "So, what are you guys doing anyway?" Hau said. He then spotted the cookies on the table and took one for himself... or two or maybe three.

"Well, we were gonna head out to see the wild pokemon around here," Ash said. "I mean who knows, we might be able to catch one"

"Cool!" Hau said. "Can I come too? I want to catch new pokemon too" Hau said as he started jumping up and down in excitement.

"Well, I don't see any problem with that.." Lillie trailed off as he looked towards Ash. Ash noticed this and nodded.

"The more the merrier right?" Ash grinned.

"Alright!" Hau said. "What are we waiting for then let's go!"

"Before you go, I have something to show you," Kukui said, making the three teenagers turn to him.

"What is it?" Ash asked.

"As you already know, Lillie just got her first pokemon two days ago," Kukui said. "And unlike Hau, Lillie hasn't been preparing for it" Kukui led them to his lab, which is just his basement.

"Now, that's why I took the liberty of providing Lillie with something that every trainer must have," Kukui said.

"A trainer license?" Ash asked.

"Well, that too but no" Kukui said. He took something from the table and gave it to Lillie. "I'm talking about the Pokedex"

Ash and Hau went to Lillie's side to get a better look at the Pokedex. They were surprised by the unique shape of the Pokedex. Unlike regular Pokedex which is square, this one looks to be more like a pentagon. It was bigger than a regular Pokedex as well. It has a square screen in the middle of it, with two ovals at the top side.

"Ash, you have a Rotom Phone right?" Kukui asked.

"Huh, yeah," Ash said.

"Well, like the name suggest, Rotom Phone is operated by a Rotom who resides in the Phone" Kukui said as he started working on his computer. "What Lillie is currently holding is another variation of the Rotom Phone"

"Ooh, I know! I know!" Hau said. "The RotomDex right?"

"That's right!" Kukui said. "Now, if I just do this" He pressed a button, and suddenly the lights started flickering.

"What's happening?" Lillie asked.

Kukui wasn't surprised as they were. In fact, he looked like he was expecting this. "It's here," He said.

Just as he said that something came out zooming from the power socket and flew around the room before zooming straight at Lillie. This surprised her and caused her to fall back while throwing the RotomDex in the air at the same time. Fortunately, Ash caught Lillie before she fell and Hau caught the RotomDex. Unfortunately, Lillie falling backward caused the thing to miss Lillie and went straight towards the wall. It hit it and bounced off the wall towards the ceiling and so on.

"Duck!" Ash said as he saw the thing started to bounce around the room. Ash threw himself to the floor and pulled Lillie with her, with Eevee somehow still holding on to Ash's shoulder. Out of the corner of their eyes, they could see Kukui and Hau doing the same.

But, the thing is that Ash's sudden command surprised Hau and this resulted in the RotomDex, once again, being thrown in the air.

However, instead of falling to the ground, the thing collided with the RotomDex and merged with it. This caused the RotomDex to float in the air as the screen turned on and displayed a loading screen.

Zzzt...RotomDex Launching...Speech Support Loaded...Pokedex Loaded...Pokefinder Loaded...Initiating startup protocol...zzzt

Suddenly, the screen changed and instead of a loading screen, it now has two eyes and a mouth. And apparently, a pair of arms and a pair of stubby feet.

"Alola! I'm the RotomDex, the living Pokedex created to help trainers, but you can just call me Rotom. So, which one of you is my new owner?"

"...what?" Ash said as he picked himself up from the floor. He then helped Lillie get up.

"Alola to you too Rotom! Lillie here is your new owner and I would appreciate it if you give her a Helping Hand alright?" Kukui said, pointing to Lillie while explaining.

"Understood," Rotom said before flying over to stand in front of Lillie. "Alola User Lillie, nice to meet you. From now on I will be helping you with your career as a trainer"

Lillie blinked. "Uhh... Hi Rotom, nice to meet you too, and uh... thanks for the help?" Lillie said uncertainly.

"The pleasure is mine User Lillie," Rotom said with a smile. "I'll help you when you need it and I'll stay in the bag in my spare time, does that workzz?"

"Sure, and please, just call me Lillie," Lillie said.

"Alright, then Lillie! I guess we have an arrangement now roto!" Rotom said. He then turned towards Ash and Hau.

"Hello there. I assume you are friendzz of Lillie?" Rotom asked.

"Yeah, my name's Ash. Nice to meet you Rotom" Ash said as he extended his hand for a handshake which Rotom happily accepted.

"Nice to meet you, Ash. I hope we can be great friendzz" Rotom said as he shook Ash's hand.

"I'm Hau," Hau said as he grinned at Rotom. "Pleasure to meet you Rotom," Hau said.

"Pleasure to meet you too Hau," Rotom said.

"It seems that you've all gotten acquainted with each other" Kukui said. "Well Rotom, Lillie, and the others were planning to head out to route 1 to catch some pokemon, so why don't you go and help them yeah?"

"Sure thing roto!" Rotom said. "Zzzt...Accessing Region Map...zzt" Rotom screen changes from the mouth to what appeared to be a map of Melemele Island.

"Zzzt... I've loaded up the map of Melemele Island and I've found a route that would let us encounter wild pokemon while still ending up here at the Professor's house roto!" On the map, red dots appeared. The dots started from Hau'oli beachfront, which is where professor Kukui's House is, and went through Route 1 and ends at Professor Kukui's House where a large white circle with a red flag in the middle of it appeared.

"That's amazing Rotom," Ash said. "So you can not only check maps but also create routes for us to travel as well?"

"That's right roto!" Rotom said. "And I also work as a Pokedex and I am also able to take pictures" Even as a literal Pokedex, Ash and the others could hear the sliver of pride in his words.

"Really, Rotom. That's amazing" Lillie said, although still a bit nervous. "Now I don't have to worry about getting lost I guess" Even if she was nervous, she still has Rotom a sincere smile.

"Alright, then what are we waiting for?" Hau said as he ran up the stairs. "Come on, let's head out already!" He yelled with his voice sounding like it's coming from outside of the house.

"That boy is just full of energy isn't he?" Kukui said with a grin.

"Yeah," Ash said, thinking of how much Hau reminded him by himself. "Well, let's not keep him waiting then," Ash said before he recalled Eevee, who has chosen to take a nap on the table, back to his Pokeball.

"Alright, Nebby in the bag let's go," Lillie said as she opened up her duffel bag. Nebby complied and went inside it. Lillie was about to close it when Rotom suddenly flew in.

"I don't have any data on this Pokémon roto!" Rotom said as he took pictures of Nebby, who was watching Rotom curiously. "This must be a discovery roto! I need to get all the data about this Pokémon" Rotom said before turning towards Lillie. "Where did you find him? Are there more?" Lillie interrupted Rotom before he could start firing off questions like water shurikens.

"Rotom, we'll explain about Nebby later," Lillie said nervously. Rotom might be a pokemon and he might be helping her but it's still hard for her to tell anyone about Nebby, save for Ash, but he saved her so he doesn't count. "For now, all you need to know is that, yes Nebby is a rare Pokémon and there are people who want to catch him for the wrong reasons. That's why I need you to keep an eye on him alright?"

"Leave it to me roto!" Rotom said. "My job is to help you and this is part of it, so I won't fail you, Lillie!" Rotom flew in the bag and settled down next to Nebby. Lillie smiled and closed her bag. She turned and saw Ash looking towards her with a smile.

"Alright, ready to go?" Ash asked. "I'm not sure how long Hau could wait before getting bored"

He said with a slight chuckle.

"Probably not long" Lillie laughed. "So we shouldn't keep him waiting," She said as she and Ash started up the stairs.

"Take care you two, and be back before dinner alright?" Professor Kukui said.

Ash and Lillie turned and smiled towards him. "Alright professor," They said in unison before walking out of the house.

"So this is still route 1?" Ash asked. He and Lillie found Hau waiting at the crossroad that leads to Iki Town. Following the route that Rotom made, they went east, which according to the map is still route 1

"That's right," Hau said. "Route one starts from the entrance to Hau'oli city, then through here and around to Iki Town and back to the crossroad"

Ash nodded in understanding as he looked around. "So, what pokemon can we find here?" Ash asked.

"If I remember correctly, then there's quite a few here," Lillie said.

"Zzzt... Leave it to me roto!" Rotom said from Lillie's bag. He then proceeded to fly out and float in front of them. "According to my database, there are 6 different pokemon that lives around here" Rotom's screen then changes to show six different Pokemons.

Out of the 6, Ash recognizes 3 of them, which are Caterpie, Ledyba, and Spinarak. Ash guessed that the other three are native to Alola, however, one of them seems awfully familiar.

"Is that a Rattata?" Ash asked. Indeed it was a Rattata, but unlike the Rattatas Ash knows, this one has black fur instead of purple and it also looks slightly different.

"Why does it look different?" Ash asked.

"Different?" Hau said confused. "What do you mean different? That's how Rattatas are supposed to look"

"What?" Ash said, turning to Hau. "Aren't Rattatas supposed to be purple?"

"I think I might know why," Lillie said. Ash and Hau turned toward her and waited for her to explain. "I once read in a book that some pokemon are different in Alola because they needed to change to survive" Lillie explained.

"That's right roto!" Rotom said. "This kind of transformation is called Regional Forms. So far, these forms have only been found in the Alola Region and the Galar region. The Torren region has a similar phenomenon called the Delta species but their origins are still unclear"

"Wow, really? That's awesome!" Hau said.

"Yeah," Lillie said. "It really makes you wonder just how many more things about pokemon that we still don't know about"

Ash nodded in agreement. "So this is how Rattatas look like in Alola?" He asked Rotom.

The screen zoomed in on Rattata as Rotom started talking. "Rattata, The Mouse Pokémon. Alolan Form. A Normal and Dark-type. With its incisors, it gnaws through doors and infiltrates people's homes. Then, with a twitch of its whiskers, it steals whatever food it finds"

"That sounds cool," Hau said. "Think we can find one?"

"Alolan Rattatas are mostly nocturnal pokemon. The chances of encountering one in the daytime are only 5%" Rotom said.

"Well, that's too bad I guess," Hau said. "But I know that there are more Pokemons up ahead and I want to meet them so let's go!"

"Yeah, come on," Ash said as they continued walking with Rotom floating next to them.

They walked for nearly two hours with them stopping every a little while to check out a Pokémon.

Eventually, they decided to rest up a bit by sitting under a tree.

"Wow, there are so many Pokemons here. And it's only just Route 1" Ash said.

"Yeah," Lillie said. "The diversity of Pokemons here in Alola never cease to amaze me"

"Yeah, but I really wanna catch a Pokémon right now" This time it was Hau

"What Pokémon would you catch though?" Ash asked.

"I don't know," Hau said. "But I have a feeling that when I meet the Pokémon then I know that I'll have to catch it" He grinned at Ash and Lillie.

"Feeling?" Lillie asked.

"Yeah, just like with Litten," Hau said. "When picking him, I just knew that we would be perfect for each other"

"Yeah, I understand that feeling," Ash said. And it's true because it's the same feeling he had gotten with not of his Pokémon.

Lillie thought about what Hau had said. The feeling that he and Litten were meant to be together. Lillie somewhat understood it. She trusted Nebby when she first met him and The same thing could be said with Popplio. But that's not what made Lillie started thinking. No, she was thinking about Ash and how she trusted him instantly. Sure he did save her life, but Lillie trusted him completely, something that took her months to do with Professor Kukui, who had also saved her life. But before she could think more about it, Hau's voice brought her back from her musings.

"Ouch!"

Lillie turned and saw Hau holding his head with his hand. On the ground next to him is an Oran Berry, which led Lillie to the conclusion that the Oran Berry fell onto Hau's head. But then she noticed that Ash and Hau are looking upwards, not at the tree but something on one of the tree branches.

It appeared to be a small yellow mouse-like Pokémon with black ears. Ash recognized the Pokémon instantly, but before he could do anything the Pokémon jumped off the branch, bounced off Hau's head, and landed on the ground.

"Ow!" Hau said as his head got hit for the second time. He turned towards the Pokemon and realized what it is.

"It's a Pichu!" Hau said. The Pichu, who was eating the Oran Berry, looked up towards Hau and giggled. At that point, Rotom flew in front of it and scanned it.

"Pichu, The Tiny Mouse Pokémon. An Electric-type. It is not yet skilled at controlling electricity. If you take your eyes off it, it may shock itself" Rotom said.

"Alright," Hau said. "I've decided that I will capture this Pichu!"

"Litten, let's have fun!" Hau said as he threw Litten's Pokeball. It burst open revealing Litten who looked ready to battle.

Pichu tilted its head and looked at Litten curiously. Its face then lights up in realization and sparks came out of its cheeks as it prepares for a battle.

"Let's start this off with Ember," Hau said. Litten created a small ball of fire and threw it towards Pichu. Pichu easily dodged it by jumping to the right before firing a Thunder Shock at Litten.

Litten narrowly dodged the electric attack on Hau's command and growled at the Pichu, who giggled in response.

"Seems like long range isn't going to work," Hau said. "In that case, use Scratch"

Litten's claw glowed white and he charged at Pichu. Pichu's body glowed pink as it looked at the advancing Litten with eyes wide open, making it look really adorable.

Litten hesitated for a second and his body glowed red. He then proceeded to charge at Pichu and scratched at it, successfully hitting it. Litten then jumped back and looked towards Pichu, expecting it to be hurt from his attack. But to both Hau and Litten's surprise, Pichu doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

"Why didn't it work?" Hau said.

"That was Charm!" Rotom said. "It's a move that lowers the target's attack. That's why Scratch didn't do much damage"

Hau took in this information and closed his eyes in concentration. With Litten's attack being lowered then Scratch would be useful at all.

"Hau!" Hau heard Lillie's voice.

Hau opened his eyes and saw that Litten has been hit by a Thunder Shock. It seems that by taking time to think he had allowed Pichu to get a free hit at Litten.

"Litten!" Hau said. "Are you alright?"

"Litten!" Litten said.

"Alright then use Ember!" Hau said. Litten once again created a ball of fire and threw it at Pichu. Pichu dodged it with ease just like before, but this time instead of a Thunder Shock, it cutely growled at Litten as pink lights that looks like sound waves flew out of it.

"Litten dodge!" Hau said. Litten jumped over to his right side but the waves followed and hit it, damaging Litten but not by a lot.

"That's Disarming Voice!" Rotom said. "It's a fairy type move. It can't be dodged, Hau"

Hau looked towards Pichu as he thought. He can't let his guard down and make a plan, but what if he uses a strategy that he already uses.

Hau grinned as he looked towards Litten. "Litten I have a plan," He said. Litten turned to him. "Ten," He said, knowing what his trainer is thinking.

"Alright, Litten use Scratch!" Hau said. Litten growled as his claws glow white. He then charged at Pichu with full speed.

Pichu's body glowed pink again as it uses Charm again. Litten ignored it and kept on going. It slashed Pichu with its claw. Pichu seems unaffected but Litten wasn't worried.

"Alright now use Ember!" Hau said. Litten created a ball of fire and threw it at Pichu. Because it was in point-blank range, Pichu couldn't evade and got hit by Ember. The attack sends Pichu backward.

"That's the same strategy from your battle with Ash!" Lillie said, recognizing Hau's strategy.

"Hehe, yup!" Hau grinned at Lillie.

"Litten," Litten said. Hau turned and saw Pichu getting up, though it was still disoriented.

"Right," Hau said as he took out a Pokeball. "Let's GO!" Hau said as he threw the Pokeball.

The Pokeball flew towards Pichu and hit it on the head. The ball bounces back and burst open before absorbing the still disoriented Pichu in it.

Hau and the others waited as the ball dropped to the ground. They watched as it shook once, and then twice, and then one more and-

DING

"Alright!" Hau yelled. "I just caught my first Pokémon!" He ran over to the Pokeball and retrieved it. He then released Pichu and crouched to its level.

"Hey Pichu," Hau said to it. "My name's Hau, and I'm going to be a really strong trainer, even stronger than my gramps, and I want a strong pokemon like you to be a part of it. So, what do you think? Will you join me?"

Pichu looked at Hau curiously for a little bit before crying out its name cheerfully.

"Alright!" Hau said. "I promise you that we're gonna have so much fun together"

"Chu-Pichu!" Pichu said.

Hau took out his Pokedex and scanned Pichu.

"Pichu, The Tiny Mouse Pokémon. An Electric-type. It is not yet skilled at controlling electricity. If you take your eyes off it, it may shock itself" The Pokedex readout.

"This Pichu is female. It has the ability Static. It knows the moves Thunder Shock, Charm, Tail Whip, and Disarming Voice"

"Heh. Sounds awesome" Hau said as he put away his Pokedex. " Alright Pichu, get some rest for now" Hau recalled Pichu into her Pokeball and turned towards Litten.

"You did a really great job Litten" Hau praised him "Get some rest for now" Hau recalled him into his Pokeball too.

"Guess now I have two pokemon to battle you huh, Ash?" Hau said.

No answer.

"Ash?"

When Ash didn't answer for the second time Hau and Lillie turned and saw Ash standing there with a sad but thoughtful look.

"A-Ash, is something wrong?" Lillie asked as she lightly shook Ash.

Ash jumped back from surprise and turned towards them. "Y-yes," He said. "What is it?"

Lillie and Hau glanced towards each other before turning back to Ash.

"Ash, do you have any problems?" Lillie asked. "If you do, then tell us. Maybe we can help you"

"P-problem?" Ash said nervously. "Who said I have problems? No, I'm perfectly fine guys"

Lillie looked at Ash for a moment. "Please, Ash. We're you're friends. If you have any problems then please tell us" She pleaded.

Ash sighed. "Alright," He said. I guess I should tell you why I'm in Alola" He went to the tree they were sitting at earlier and sat down. Hi, and Lillie followed and sat down on either side of him.

"What do you mean 'Reason you're in Alola'?" Hau asked. "Aren't you here for the Island Challenge?"

"Yes," Lillie said. "I thought you said you're here for the league?"

"Both of those are true, but it's not the reason I came to Alola in the first place," Ash said. "The truth is, this is not the first time I've gone to a new region. I've been through 6 regions, 7 if you count the Orange Islands, and I've participated in every single league. I got to top 16 in Kanto, the top 8 in Johto. 8 in Hoenn and Unova. Top 4 in Sinnoh and Runner Up in Kalos" Ash paused to let them digest that information.

Lillie and Hau blinked. They didn't know that Ash had been doing Pokémon battling for so long. Now that they think about it, Professor Kukui did say that in other regions trainer starts their journey when they're 10 years old.

"But that's not why I'm here" Ash continued. "You see, after my last league, the Kalos league, which was two months ago, I went back home to my home in pallet town in Kanto. I stayed there for a while until most of my former traveling companions visited me. I didn't expect them there and I was confused. Then some of them started saying that I should give up on my dream to become a Pokémon Master. That I'm not good enough. And the thing is, I would have believed them, but some of my friends, my true friends, stuck up for me and told me not to. Then with the help of Professor Oak and Rex, I came to Alola to, hopefully, Start Anew. The reason why I didn't respond to you is that, well, Eevee isn't my first partner. My first partner is a Pikachu, and I don't know why but he agreed with them. And it hurts. It hurts way more than the others"

Hau and Lillie sat there with mouth agape. They were still processing what Ash had told them. And once they did, they're emotion changed drastically.

"That's not right," Hau said. "In the decades before this one, the record of the Pokémon league shows that only 1% of the champions of the Conferences are teenagers. If anything, you're a really great trainer. They have no right to say that to you" Hau was frowning at this point, which is something that neither Ash nor Lillie has ever seen him do.

"How dare they!" Lillie said angrily. How dare they say that to Ash. Sure she's only known Ash for 3 days but in that little time, Ash had gained her complete trust, something that took Professor Burnet one month and more for Professor Kukui.

Now it's Ash's turn to be surprised. The sight of Lillie getting angry is something that he never thought he would see. He shook his head to get rid of the surprise and went to calm down Lillie.

"Lillie, calm down," Ash said. "There's no use in getting angry. Just calm down alright"

Lillie took a deep breath and nodded. "Y-Yeah you're right," She said. "But Hau's right Ash. Professor Kukui once told me that he challenged the Kanto League when he was 16. He told me that he only managed to get to the top 64"

Ash blinked. "Really?" He asked.

"Yeah" Lillie nodded. "That's why you shouldn't listen to them. Your league record only proves that you're a great trainer"

"Yeah. And we'll definitely give them a piece of our mind if we ever meet" Hau said.

Lillie and Ash sweatdropped at Hau's antics. Lillie just shook his head and continued. "Ash, no matter what happens, we'll always be your friend, right Hau?"

"That's right. You can count on me, Ash!" Hau said.

"And forget about that Pikachu" Lillie continued. "You've got Eevee now and he's way better than the Pikachu"

Ash looked towards Lillie and Hau with wide eyes. He can't believe how much support they're giving him, even though they just met 2 days ago. He gave them a grateful smile.

"Thanks, guys. I-i needed that" Ash said. He then proceeded to stand up and brushed off the dust from his shirt. He then offered a hand to Lillie to help her get up. Hau followed their example and stood up too.

Ash took a deep breath. "Alright! What are we waiting for? Let's look for more Pokemons!" Ash said.

"Alright," Lillie nodded.

"Let's go!" Hau said.

And like that, the three friends continued on their adventure.

Meanwhile, in Kalos, Paul was waiting at the entrance hall of Professor Sycamore's Lab. He had arrived in Lumiose two days ago and Professor Sycamore was nice enough to let him stay there before he starts his Kalos league.

He was currently waiting for 2 people to arrive. The little blonde girl had basically demanded that she be allowed to come with him. He was reluctant at first but she won him over by offering her observations on Ash's battling. The little girl was surely energetic, but she had kinda grown on him during the plane flight.

The other one was a trainer who was getting his first Pokémon today. Paul had taken a page out of Ash's book and decided to start from the beginning of his Kalos league. Fortunately, Professor Sycamore was willing to give him a Pokémon to start his Kalos journey. But he will have to wait for the other trainer to arrive as he will be picking first.

He was interrupted from his musing by the front door opening. He turned and saw a boy with medium length black hair and blue eyes walks in. He was wearing a long-sleeve blue jacket with white trimmings as well as blue pants. He had a black shoulder bag, a red hat, and a pair of black combat boots. He looked to be around 16 years old, which confused Paul, but he decided to ignore it for now.

"Hey" Paul greeted him. "You must be the trainer Professor Sycamore told me about. I'm Paul. I'm also getting a Pokémon today" Paul extended his hand for a handshake.

"Hey," The boy said. "Nice to meet you, Paul. I'm Calem and yeah, I'm getting my first Pokémon today. I hope we can be great friends" He smiled at Paul.
