Iris's POV

I smirked as the digimon destroyed the many Control Spires that were in our current area. BlackWarGreymon used his Terra Destroyer to literally blow up the last one.

"Nice work buddy" I praised the mega who landed before me and the other digimon reverted to their usual lower forms and they joined their partners. "Though maybe you should use your Black Tornado next time"

"Yes that would be probably be wise I over did it" BlackWarGreymon agreed.

In Japan it was December meaning Christmas was fast approaching. Nearby Davis and Yolei were doing a little celebration dance.

"Hey Iris?"

I turned to see Ken and Sage approaching with their digimon. Ken looked nervous and I remembered in this episode he invited the others to a small Christmas party at his place.

"Hey what's up?"

"I wanted to thank you for helping me make the invitations"

I wasn't going to the party since Matt had a concert and I wasn't going to miss that. So to make it up to Ken I helped make the invitations and also made something to eat for the party as well.

"No problem and don't be nervous the others will come"

"Come where?" Davis asked coming over with Veemon. Ken looked at me and Sage for encouragement and we nodded.

Ken then gave Davis an invitation and it wasn't long until the others got one as well including Cody.

"What is Christmas anyway?" BlackWarGreymon asked.

"It's a holiday in the human world that is celebrated once a year where friends and family get together and enjoy one's company, eat good food and get gifts" I explained to the mega.

"That sounds interesting I think I'm starting to like your traditions"

"Maybe you and Matt will kiss under the mistletoe" Demi teased and Kiba reprimanded him.

Next Day.

"I wish we could have BlackWarGreymon here with us" Kiba said. She and I were making our way to go see Matt before he and the band started rehearsal. I had a feeling Kiba had a crush on the mega.

"Gennai is actually trying to figure something out so BlackWarGreymon can come to this side" I reassured her.

Since my second partner had been made from Control Spires he didn't have the other forms most digimon had so he was stuck as a mega. But to be honest I liked my second partner as he was. She and I arrived at the concert venue and Kiba did her disappearing act before I went inside. A few of the band members greeted me and I returned the favor before eventually finding my handsome mate finishing a phone call.

"Hey beautiful" Matt greeted me.

"Hey babe"

The two of us shared a quick kiss which earned a wolf whistle.

"I won't keep you but I wanted to give your Christmas gift early well one of them"

Matt arched an eyebrow and I pulled out a small box. My beloved took it and when he opened the lid to see what was inside his eyes widened.

"Iris? Is this?"

Inside the box was a perfect replica of the Mockingjay pin that was used in the Hunger Games. It turned out Phantomon had a hobby at making things and he was happy to make the pin for me.

"Thank you love I adore this which reminds me"

He placed his present down before giving me my own. I took the box and opened it to find a beautiful pair of emerald stud earrings. Since my birthday was in May the emerald was my birthstone. The studs were real too.

"Wear them tonight" Matt suggested in my ear and I blushed. I thanked my boyfriend via a quick kiss before leaving so the band could start rehearsal. A bit later Matt and the older Digi Destined kids met up with the others for another surprise. On Davis's cue the bag opened and out came Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Biyomon, and Gomamon.

The older kids were ecstatic to see their partners. Matt invited some of us back to the concert venue so Tai and Sora joined us.

"No wonder you were in a hurry to go" Matt teased me. I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"Hey nice pin Matt" Tai complimented on my mate's present. The blonde was wearing his present on his jacket.

"Thanks Iris gave it to me" my beloved beamed.

"Hey Sora do you still have the hair clip Tai gave you?"

Immediately both Tai and Sora blushed confirming my question. There was a knock at the trailer door so Agumon, Gabumon, and Biyomon hid while Matt went to answer it.

"Hey June" Matt greeted the out of breath teen.

Since June found out Matt and I were dating she was no longer a fan girl which was nice.

"Sorry I won't keep you long I just wanted to give you and Iris something" June explained.

June ended up giving us some really nice chocolate which tasted heavenly. I would need to send her a thank you card later. June then wished Matt luck before taking off no doubt she had some shopping to do.

"Those look good" Gabumon stated seeing the chocolates in our hands.

"I'll find some for you to have later" I promised the wolf rookie.

It was starting to get dark so I headed back to the apartment so I could get dressed for the concert. I found a nice long sleeved green dress and put it on. Next I put on black leggings and matching boots before putting my emerald earrings on. Lastly I pulled on my black jacket.

"Damn you look nice" Demi complimented.

"Nah she looks hot" Kiba corrected her twin.

I chuckled before giving both Demidevimon siblings a kiss and it wasn't long until I arrived back at the concert venue. I joined the others sitting down and we waited for the concert to start. We didn't wait long and the lights in the tent dimmed and soon the concert started.

"Damn he can sing" Demi muttered from my shoulder.

I flashed the rookie a grin before focusing back on the concert. However halfway through a song I felt uneasy and the Demidevimon twins felt it too. Suddenly the audio acted up making Matt stop singing and shoot his band mates questioning looks.

"Iris what's going on?" Tai inquired.

Then a loud growl was heard and a second later a DarkTyrannomon shredded apart the tent behind the stage. Immediately all of got to our feet.

"What the heck?!" Tai yelled.

"Guys those are real digimon so don't plan on destroying them" I advised the others while people screamed and fled the tent.

The DarkTyrannomon spotted us and headed our way. Tai suggested Agumon digivolve but the poor rookie couldn't. We all booked it out of the tent and outside was a damn Control Spire. Other digimon were causing havoc much to everyone's horror.

"Iris look out!" Matt yelled and the blonde hurriedly pushed us out of the way just as part of the tent fell down where I had just been standing.

"Thanks babe I owe you one"

My mate then looked at the rogue digimon causing chaos. Tai had taken off to get a hold of Kari and it wouldn't be long until she and the other group came. Some Bakemon decided to separate me and Matt which pissed off Demi and Kiba. Both siblings began to fight with the ghost digimon and another Bakemon was about to attack me when BlackWarGreymon appeared out of nowhere and body slammed the ghost digimon away from me.

"Sorry I'm late crossing worlds is tiring" the mega apologized to me.

"You got here just in time" I reassured my second partner before looking at the Control Spire. BlackWarGreymon noticed it too and he took flight. Then using his Black Tornado he brought the Control Spire down just as the other group arrived. Now that the spire was down the other rookies digivolved.

Kiba and Demi digivolved all the way to their ultimate forms while Agumon, Biyomon, Gabumon, Gomamon, and Tentomon digivolved to their champion forms. BlackWarGreymon went to aide Greymon with DarkTyrannomon while Kiba and Demi dealt with the Bakemon.

Izzy and Joe had an idea and Halsemon used his Tempest Wing to tire out a group of Bakemon. Nefertimon and Pegasusmon used their Golden Noose to capture the first group of rogue digimon. Yolei quickly opened a portal and the first group of digimon were sent back to the Digital World.

Together BlackWarGreymon and Greymon overpowered DarkTyrannomon and he was next to be thrown into the portal. Next to go into the portal was a Snimon along with some other rogues before two ultimate level digimon were left. BlackWarGreymon grunted and went to one knee no doubt exhausted and Demi reverted back to his rookie form in the same condition. Renamon and Wizardmon also were out of the fight too.

A short evolution later Paildramon, Silphymon, and Shakkakumon entered the fight with Kiba aiding them. It didn't take long for the last two digimon to be sent back to the Digital World.

Later.

"So your gonna stick around in the human world for awhile?" I asked BlackWarGreymon.

Everyone went home for the night after a hectic evening. Matt and I were close to the apartment talking with my second partner.

"Yes that way if your in danger I'll be able to come quickly" the mega answered. "I will remain out of sight though similar to what Kiba can do"

The mega then disappeared and a short walk later Matt and I were back in the apartment.

"So Arukenimon can cross both worlds?" my mate asked.

He and I ate some takeout while the Demidevimon twins and Gabumon were doing the same.

"Yeah unfortunately" I confirmed then I froze.

"Iris what is it?" my boyfriend demanded seeing the scared look I had on my face.

"I could be wrong but I hope she and other digimon can't go to my home"

If something were to happen to my mother or Isaac's parents I would be devastated.

"I think only Gennai can do that" Kiba reassured me. "I tried once to come to your world but was unsuccessful"

That calmed me down and I hoped the rookie was right.

"You looked beautiful tonight by the way with those earrings" Matt changed the subject making me blush and the three rookie digimon excused themselves letting me and Matt be alone. Matt shot me a smirk knowing what he wanted I stood up. Matt threw away our dinner remains before joining me on the couch.

I was soon in his lap and the blonde was pressing kisses against my neck which felt wonderful. My mate and I had no intentions on being sexually active until we were much older so we never went too far with our affections toward the other.

Matt finished kissing my neck and he placed his forehead against mine.

"You know a lot of girls crush on you back home" I stated. "Me included I can't explain why but you were always handsome in my eyes"

That got Matt to widen his smirk.

"While I'm flattered I have a fan base the only woman I wanted was you" my beloved confessed. "I guess you could say I loved you the moment I first saw you"

The blonde then took my left hand and pressed his lips against it.

"I intend you marry you later down the road too"

"Are you proposing to me Matt Ishida?" I teased him.

"Not now I'm not but since we are mate bound I am going to marry you Iris, queen or not"

"Then I'll be one hell of a wife and queen"

"Damn straight you will" Matt agreed before he kissed my forehead.
