Uwley crouched near the mutilated body that was missing its arms, or most of them, he sighed before looking around the room at the carnage. This was more work than he was willing to take on before his departure. And nothing would make him stay on this kami damned planet. The sight of the young woman, barely older than his eldest, made him sick. He wasn't ignorant to Castor's more extreme tastes, but he had never been faced with the reality of it.
Walking across the blood-soaked floor Uwley avoided stepping on any limb or larger chunk of bone or brain. Stooping down near Castor's mangled body he looked around the space and noticed the cubby under the table, that was open. Inside was a fully charged blaster. Uwley pulled it out, holding it between two fingers, and muttered to the corpse beside him. "Well old friend, it appears someone finally got the drop on you."
"What are you doing? Don't bother with that window; it was most likely blown out during the firefight." One of the guards yelled at a younger one that was collecting something from the broken panels.
"Something, or someone went through that window." Uwley stood and walked over to it., as he moved he explained the scene to the guard gathering up body parts and the young one standing by the window, evidence in hand. "There is hardly any glass on the inside, and check these men, none of them were armed except for the guards that came in. Check their weapons, all of them are full. The only rounds fired in the room were by the men outside who are still alive. What did you find?" He asked, stopping in front of the youth and holding out his hand.
The young man stood in awe of the GPO, how could anyone decipher all that from just looking around the room for a minute. Dropping the hair he pulled out of the glass into the Officer's hand he looked down at the ground.
Inspecting the black hairs, Uwley rubbed them between his fingers. They were incredibly soft, and held a blue sheen to them. He sniffed at them to capture the scent of the being that went out the window. Under the soap that all the men and the girl had on them, there was a very different smell of ancient forests on far-off tropical worlds. Looking down at the small pile of fur in his hand Uwley clenched his jaw before balling his fist and turning to walk back up the stairs to the courtyard.
Huddled in one corner of the compound Nash stood with the surviving men Castor had. One guard was asking the men what they had seen.
"This is bad Nash, the organization is already fracturing," Precitto said in a harsh whisper where they stood off to one side of the group.
"How so?" Nash questioned as his brows pinched together.
"The south faction isn't responding, the east and north have locked down and called all their people back into their territories. It's all making the guys here nervous, a few have deserted us already."
"And you let them leave?" Nash asked furiously.
"I have enough of a mess to clean up after what your whore did. And if the south is planning to seize power I need men loyal, not scared bastards that could be turned." Precitto hissed.
"Bribe them, break open the safe, and buy their loyalty." Precitto went blue in the face at those words. "Don't tell me it's already been taken?" Nash questioned.
"You selfish fool!" The large fox slammed Nash into the wall, blocking his body from the guards before continuing in a hushed tone. "Boss's body is barely cold and you're talking about money, and buying loyalty. Our most loyal men were in that room tonight. They were butchered, butchered. I don't know what that whore was that you delivered, you know the one, but she murdered them. All of them. She was bathed in their blood. I saw-"
"Is everything alright, Precitto?" Uwley asked as he approached the two men.
Releasing Nash quickly, Precitto moved away to stand at attention, his former galactic military training showing through. "Everything is fine sir, just business."
" Business , huh?" The officer looked over both men, Nash was perfectly clean, Precitto had blood on his boots. "Did you see the perpetrator?"
"I did sir, It was the whore this one," he threw his thumb at Nash, "lent the boss for the night."
"The unconscious one I saw you carrying?"
"Yes sir, that was the one. Her and a traitor, that Inigmo." Precitto spat on the ground after speaking the Oscerian's name.
"And you Nash? Were you here at the time of the attack?" Uwley shifted his attention back to the whoremonger.
"Pft. 'Course I wasn't. I left after dropping off the goods earlier. I had a couple of my girls on my lap all evening, till I came back here to see what you were gonna do about getting my property back."
"You want your property back, do you? Perhaps you should accompany me, to see just what your property did to ten grown men. And what those men did to the girl you delivered." Uwley wasn't really asking and he waved his hand for Nash to walk ahead of him into the hidden cellar. When Nash marched past him, Uwley gestured with his chin for Precitto to accompany him as well.
At the doorway into the ceremonial chamber, Nash turned green and vomited his dinner into the hall. The stench of blood, bowls, and piss permeated the air.
"Disgusting isn't it?" Uwley's tone was taunting in a way that made Nash glare daggers at the GPO. "Hard to believe just two people, a girl barely twenty, and one of your men, was capable of all this." Precitto bristled at the insinuation that his account was being questioned. "Even harder to believe would be that just that girl did all this, well, except for that." he pointed to the brutalized body of the little girl on the slab table."
"What are you saying?" Precitto couldn't believe that only that tiny woman had done all this, she wasn't a fighter.
Ignoring the fox's question Uwley pinned Nash with a hard look. "What exactly was that whore you brought here for Castor tonight?"
"What?" Nash and Precitto said in unison, Nash to Uwley, and Precitto growled at Nash.
"She was nothing special, just a slave I raised since her mother died. Nothing outta the ordinary."
"Then why did boss pay you so much for her?" Precitto, standing a full head taller than Nash picked the other alien up by his throat and slammed his back into the wall.
"Don't lie to me Nash, what exactly was she? What makes you think she can be retrieved after jumping out that window? You seem rather confidant she is still alive. Tell me or I will ship you off to the Central district."
Nash was wanted in all quadrants of the universe, only here in the northern quadrant was he able to hide away from the law, protected by Juyu. "Sh-she's a S-S-Saiyan." he gasped out.
"Lies, Saiyans are gone, nothing but a bedtime story." Precitto snarled in Nash's face.
Uwley turned white at this revelation, and the sinking feeling he had in his gut since he smelled the hairs finally fell out as he dropped them to the ground. "You fool! They are gods! They have untapped reserves of power granting them flight and unimaginable strength. How you managed to keep one for nearly twenty years is beyond me." Uwley turned and began marching up the stairs.
Precitto dropped Nash and both men exchanged a look of bewilderment and concern. "Where are you going?" Precitto called out to the GPO.
"I am getting off this doomed rock as fast as I can." Uwley shouted back.
"What about this mess!" Nash cried scrambling to chase down the officer.
"Who cares, you'll all be dead before the end of the season." Uwley hollered down the stairs before slamming the door shut behind him.
At the bottom of the stairs, Nash turned back to face Precitto. "He's a scared fool, that little bitch won't get the drop on us again. Rally your men, I will support you as the new leader. But first, we're gonna find that little bitch, and all y'all will get yer turn helpin' me break her."
The sound of sand scratching over rocks and dried branches rubbing against each other woke Bee from her slumber. She blinked up at the perpetual twilight sky.
When did my window get so big? She thought before her memory caught up with her.
Kolrabi bolted upright and took in her surroundings. She sat upon the hard but warm surface on top of a central column of rock that had been carved out of the canyon wall from wind and sand over millennia. Miles away was the plateau where the city rested. Its base was engulfed in a cloud of dust that looked almost green in the low light. Pivoting to look at the western horizon she saw the violet glow from the dying light of the red giant sun.
"H-how?" Bee asked herself, leaning forward and looking down into the canyon. Her head spun and she fell back huddling in on herself as memories resurfaced of the ritual she had been an unwilling party to. Then, she had slaughtered all those men.
Had they really called some dark god to possess her? Was she even still herself?
She had felt like herself when that Oscerian man came in. He had offered her help and...and she had pulled him out of the window to plummet to the canyon floor. Now, where was he? Had she killed him to survive the fall? She must be a god or a demon, because she couldn't remember anything after wishing not to die and latching onto that man.
Leaning back she looked up to the stars and her hand bumped into a familiar fabric. Grabbing the garment she frantically searched for the device in one of the deep front pockets. Pulling it out she instantly felt relief wash over her and smiled. The GPX, she had spent years developing, was intact and the little green light was on, indicating her tracker was not. Bee released a sigh as she flopped back to watch the stars, clutching her GPX to her chest. At least one thing had worked out in her favor, now she needed to get off this damn rock before the storms got to her.
The scratching sounds of rocks tumbling down the side of the column of stone she was laying on scared Bee and she jumped when a hand reached up over the edge of the stone tower.
Elio lifted Xeon higher against him as he carried her down the stairs out the back of the tavern. He set the slender woman on top of some crates. Since he had begun working for her master Elio hadn't been allowed to come in contact with her or any of the higher tier whores. Nash on occasion offered him some of the cheaper ones as reward or plain old temptation to spend his pay at his work. Not once had he taken Nash up on the offers.
Xeon felt extremely uncomfortable once the strong cook set her down and stood in front of her. She had expected to feel uncomfortable in his arms, expected him to be rough and hurtful, like his words usually were. But she hadn't, in fact, he had been gentle and incredibly warm, even if he was a bit forceful. The woman summarized he had needed to maintain order with Nash away and she had been becoming hysterical. After feeling how firm his body was, she had almost completely forgotten about Bee and Castor. Now she was fixated on his broad shoulders and missed the heat of his skin, remembering that scorching heat she shivered in the contrasting cool night air.
Elio tisked when he saw her shiver. "You can't be causin' chaos in my kitchen like that wench."
"I didn't mean to, I… I just…" trailing off as the memories of those that survived their nights at Castor's she shivered again.
She looked up, surprised when his coat fell over her shoulders. Clutching it close to her frame she tried not to blush at this simple gesture. It was such a stark contrast to his regular attitude towards her that Xeon wasn't sure what to make of it all.
"Why are you always such an ass to me?" she blurted out without thinking.
"Why are ya always such a bitch to Bee?" He shot back.
"What does it matter to you? What? Are you in love with her or something?" Elio blushed and turned his head away from her as he had suddenly grown more conscious of her sheer dress and the smooth pale blue skin of her long slender legs. "Oh, my GODS! You are!? Why? I don't get what everyone finds so appealing about that hairy little monkey. She doesn't have what it-"
Elio couldn't believe his ears. He wasn't in love with that girl , he respected her but her mammalian tail still creeped him out. To silence the insanity spewing out of Xeon's lips he dove in and kissed her. He pushed his long, thin forked tongue into her open mouth, an advantage of kissing someone as they spoke. Wrapping the slimy appendage around hers, he stroked them together until he heard and felt her moan into the kiss. Sliding his hands up Xeon's thighs to grip her ass, Elio pulled her to the edge as he stepped up between those slender, silky thighs and changed the angle of their kiss.
Out of habit Xeon reciprocated the kiss willingly and moaned at how gentle he was despite the suddenness of it all. When Elio pulled her slim frame against his and deepened their kiss, she wrapped her arms around his neck, gripping the base of his neck in one hand as the other slid through the thick, almost feathers, at the top. She tried to clench her thighs together to alleviate the aching that was starting at her apex. Never had a man been so tender and passionate while handling her with firm confidence.
The cook pressed his swelling length against her hot core and Xeon moaned into his throat, fisting his hair roughly to keep him there. Her knees came up to cradle his hips to encourage him to keep going as she stroked her tongue over his to taste him better. Xeon was starting to burn like she never had for any man. The heat pooling in her center had never happened from just a kiss before.
Elio allowed her to copy his oral movements and kneaded the flesh in his hands. He caressed up her back and down her sides as their tongues continued to dual in a sensual embrace. He ground himself against her again and devoured the moan she let loose. Snaking one of his hands down to the delicate petals between her legs he barely touched her sex when Xeon broke the kiss and pushed him back.
Taking a moment to catch her breath, Xeon let her eyes wander up the body of the man before her. He was strong and firm in all the right places, and treated her so gently she hated to break apart like this. Securing payment was her only duty aside from allowing johns to do as they pleased with her. Her heart pounded in her ears as her eyes lingered on first the length tenting his baggy pants and then his wide shoulders that she could imagine clinging to for support as he ravaged her body. Feeling liquid pooling between her thighs she closed the width so she wasn't being chilled there as well.
"You have to pay for that." She said in a sultry voice that usually drove her customers crazy.
Elio scowled and stepped back. Xeon tried not to shiver with how cold she suddenly felt. His coat had fallen off her shoulders when they had been kissing.
"I won't pay ta be with ya." He said bitterly.
"Savin' your money to have your turn with that filthy grease monkey?" Xeon bit, as she casually leaned back, widening her thighs a bit; tempting him.
"You ain't got no idea what yer talkin' bout." Elio snapped, growling at her ignorance.
"Whatever," she said flippantly and sat forward to cross her legs. The last thing she wanted was for him to know how disappointed she was that he didn't want her. How much his touch had truly turned her on. There was something different about him, he made her feel wanted for more than just the holes he could fill. "Come to think of it, I've never seen you with any of the others. Are you even interested in women?" Refusing to even make eye contact with him, Xeon inspected her nails.
"I said shut yer mouth." Elio grabbed her by her jaw and forced her to look into his angry eyes.
The expression on his face, so close to her she could see every detail even in the dim light from the kitchen window, reminded her of someone she had known as a child. The lines that creased his forehead, the way the right side of his face scrunched up around his eye and nostril, the exposed teeth near the corner of his mouth. She had messed up his hair when they had been necking, now it stood up in its more natural state. She was so close that the shallow beaded scales under his thin red-orange brows stood out better with his face twisted this way. Then there were his eyes, those pale green eyes and the pupils that expanded in the dark and burned with such intensity she began to feel small in front of him. It was all too familiar to Xeon.
"Celion!?"
"So," Elio, or more accurately Celion, said with a dry tone. "Ya finally recognized me."
*Flashback*
A thirteen-year-old Xeon, her long, curly, yellow locks, tied in a tail at the back of her neck. She wore a pale pink dress that complimented her blueish skin, on her head rested a wide hat made of woven grass. I'm her arms she carried a basket of fruits and vegetables, the full white apron she wore protected her dress from getting dirty where she worked in the kitchen garden of her home.
Behind her, in the fields, she could hear her father shouting commands to the farmhands that all lived and worked on their property. Many of them were boys not much older than herself, there were a few older ones as well but there were a couple of old-timers that had stuck around through the years. One of the boys, in particular, she had grown to know, was kind and always willing to help her, no matter what task she had or whether his chores were finished or not.
"Celion, get back to work!" She heard her father yell, and turned just in time to see the boy of seventeen, look away from her quickly. She giggled as she watched as his yellow-green cheeks turned a few shades darker, despite the heat from the sun. marching across the field her father came up to the boy and slapped him upside the head making Xeon's smile turn into a frown. She never liked it when her father hit the boy that had been working on their farm for over five years. He had always been kind to her and even used to play with her but once her menses started her father wouldn't let him around the house except for meals. He always said something about his blood being bad and that she needed to stay away from him or she might catch something.
"You're here to work, remember that!" He shouted near the ear hole on the side of Celion's head and the boy rushed to continue his work. Her father spat on the ground and marched off into the house, probably to get himself a drink.
Xeon returned to her chores, picking the food for the day's lunch and dinner. She sang a gentle melody while she finished gathering the ripe fruits off the vines and shrubs. When she finished she went into the rear kitchen door to wash the day's harvest.
"Where are you going? Are you going to gamble away all our savings? How are we supposed to pay our hands?" Xeon heard her mother yell at her father. It was always the same, but her dad always came back with gifts for them both so he couldn't be losing.
"Stop hounding me woman, we will be fine." Her father shouted back before he slammed the door on his way out. Xeon smiled, she knew her father wouldn't be so foolish as to lose everything they had.
When lunch was ready, Xeon served it to all the workers. Each man came through the line, thanking her and moving along to take a roll and sit at the tables in the shade of the house.
The last one in the line was Celion. As the girl dished up the thick vegetable and Mogwil stew, the young man pulled a small bouquet of flowers out of his shirt and laid it down beside the pot, out of view of all the others. Xeon served him his plate with the same smile she gave all the others. Unlike the other men, however that politely bowed their heads, thanked her, and moved on he always smiled back, looking directly into her eyes and called her by name instead of miss
"Thank you, Xeon." Celion was rewarded when the smile reached her amber-colored eyes and made them shine like gold. When he moved away to take his seat, Xeon turned to put away the lunch. She stopped when she noticed the modest bouquet and her heart began to beat wildly with excitement. Hesitating, Xeon looked around before she pulled it up to her breast to smell the sweet fragrance. Blushing she quickly tucked it into her apron pocket and went about her day.
"Wha-how? How are you here? Why are you here? Why did you kiss me?" She asked scrambling to use his coat to cover her body from his view.
"That's whatcha have a problem with? Me kissin' ya?"
"You're practically a brother, why wouldn't I?"
"Yer the only one that felt that way, and I didn't hear ya complainin' a few moments ago." He allowed his voice to drop an octave as he spoke and bowed his head to be closer to hers one again.
"Well I, I…I." Xeon blushed at his husky tone and ducked her head to hide her reddening face. Her body still tingled from all the places he had touched her and ached everywhere he hadn't. Her mouth longed to taste more of him and she fought all of those feelings back as best she could. The attempt was in vain and he placed a hand upon her shoulder when she shuddered from the intensity of the sensations in her body.
"Are ya cold Xeo?" Celion asked, when she shivered again he stepped in closer to wrap his arms around her tiny frame.
Xeon's eyes began to sting with him calling her by the nickname he'd given her, no one in the better part of eight years had held her so comfortingly. Soon she found herself incapable of holding back the tremors that raced through her body as a small sob escaped her lips. Celion wrapped her tighter against his body and tucked her head under his chin, his heart squeezed painfully when she clung to him desperately and allowed herself to shed all her pent-up tears.
Another hand joined the first and Bee held her breath terrified that it was Nash, that he had found her and would drag her back into the Inn and that life. Shock coursed through her veins as the messy orange fin of hair popped up over the edge with the stern face of the man that she had pulled through the window with her.
"Oh, you are awake." Inigmo said as he lifted himself up onto the pillar. And sat in a squat near the edge. "Come, we must get down, I found a cave we can hide in for the night."
Bee just watched him warily.
"I-I...I thought I killed you, are-are you haunting me?" she spoke barely above a whisper.
"Hahaha," The lizard-man laughed at her until he saw her angered and confused expression. "You are serious ?"
"People usually die after falling hundreds of feet."
"But- don't you remember ? You brought us here. You flew us here." Inigmo asked, wondering, and not for the first time, what this girl was?
"I-I can fly?" Bee squeaked before anxious tremors wracked through her body. "I'm a monster." she cried as she wrapped her arms around her knees and rocked back and forth.
Many questions came to him and he sighed with a heavy heart. All of them would have to wait, this girl barely understood herself. There was no way he could expect an answer from her.
"The storm is growing. We need to get you down." Inigmo said in a calm and gentle tone, holding out his hand to her. "Can you climb down?"
Bee lifted her tearful eyes to his, she sniffled looking at his hand. She didn't take it this time but only nodded as she released her legs and wiped the tears from her face.
"Good. You might want to put on that suit you brought, that shift could get caught on the rocks climbing down. And nights can get cold out here, away from the city." Inigmo added as he dropped his lower body over the edge of the pillar. "I will see you at the bottom."
Bee looked down at herself with his words, she was still in the blood-covered sheer dress those men had put on her. Looking back to where the strange Oscerian had been, she was a little surprised he was gone, but felt thankful he was respecting her person.
Holding up the coveralls, she was glad to see she had gotten a minimal amount of blood on them. Then she remembered the zipper had been broken, gripping the fabric tightly she grit her teeth as she tried to shut out all the memories from the day.
Pulling them up her legs she used the sleeves to hold them up by tying them around her waist. The fabric of the dress had become stiff with all the dried blood on it, she didn't want to use it but had nothing else. Folding up the lower hem to cover the top of her breasts she pulled it tight and tied a knot. Cinching the new hem she tied another knot in it to keep it from being loose and blowing up, or getting caught while she climbed down.
At the bottom, Ingimo didn't wait for her to catch her breath before he began walking away. Bee scrambled to catch up to him.
"What's your name? I am Kolrabi, most just call me Bee though." She explained when she fell into step beside him.
He continued his trek to the cave, weaving through rock walls, along the floor of the canyon were dead skeletons of trees that had been stripped of their intricately frail fronds and many minor branches. Here and there between the rocky outcroppings were the bones of the great beasts that used to roam the skies.
"Inigmo." He said before ducking into the cave in the wall of the canyon.
Bee just stood there wondering if she had done something wrong, he was being rather standoffish since she came down to the ground. Following him in, she was about to question him but he spoke before she opened her mouth.
"Rest we have a long journey ahead of us."
Uwley burst through the front door of his home. "Salime! Salime! Pack anything you can fit in your bags! Children! Salima, Junior, Coturn! Pack your clothes and-"
"What is going on? The children are sleeping, Uwley." Salime hissed as he came down the stairs in his bathrobe.
"Darling we have to leave, now." Uwley rushed up to meet his husband halfway.
"I thought we were departing tomorrow?"
"There is no time, we have to leave, NOW!"
"What happened? Where is Castor?" The look on his husband's face gave Salime the answer he needed. "What? How can this be?"
"Nevermind that right now. Wake the children, we need to leave tonight!"
"But Uwley we can't just-"
"I will tell you once we are off this planet. Please, just get the children ready to leave." Uwley looked desperately into Salime's eyes. There was no time to waste Juyu would not be pleased if Uwley was abandoning his post early, or that he wasn't finishing his investigation. But the GPO didn't care if this world fell into chaos, the likelihood of any of the criminal leaders surviving not just one but two Saiyans was slim to none. He would return to central command and seek a cushy job in bookkeeping. If it meant his family would be safe.
Less than an hour later the entire family was packed and seated in the GP shuttle. Uwley took his position at the helm and flew his family out of the Alboscian atmosphere and into relative safety.
"Are you going to tell me what the hell happened tonight?" Salime asked after returning to the bridge from laying his children down to sleep.
"Castor is dead." Uwley turned to his husband when the man gasped. "And nine of his best men, they were all killed by one person, a Saiyan."
"The Lord of Destruction was early?" Salime looked out the window towards the planet he'd grown up on.
"No, this was another Saiyan."
"There are two of them?" Salime turned wide, frightened eyes back to his husband. Two Saiyans were unheard of. Not in millennia had anyone in the Galactic forces heard of there being more than one Saiyan in existence.
When Xeon's tears finally subsided, Celion wouldn't release her right away. When he did he leaned down and swept his forked tongue over her cheeks to clear away the evidence of her emotional outpouring. Her breath hitched at the feelings that his actions caused within her once again.
"Celion...I" Xeon tried to speak but the words wouldn't come out, couldn't come out. The thought of telling him to stop made her heart squeeze painfully, as if the air she breathed was fire.
"Shh, don't. Let me in Xeo. Let me love ya. Don't ya know I've always loved you?" Celion confessed as he pulled her tight against him, cradling her gently in his arms. "I came here to getcha outta this place, take you home with me and-"
Xeon silenced him by repeating his earlier action and kissed him hard, plunging her tongue into the depths of his mouth. Celion groaned at her enthusiasm and coiled his tongue around hers as he lifted her off the crates to let her have control over their kiss so he could slide his hands across her flesh. Warping her legs around Celion's waist, she linked her feet at the base of his spine, and held his face between her hands so she could keep him at the exact angle she wanted. She felt like she could combust, she was growing so hot for the man. His touches were teasing her as his hands only slid over her curves and kneaded her thighs. Xeon wanted more, she needed more.
Breaking their kiss, she ground herself against him and whispered into his ear as he trailed kisses down her neck and across her shoulder. "Cel, I want you. Take me now."
The cook pulled away, his pigment cells expanding until his entire face was a dark green with the use of her old nickname for him. "I...I've never been with a woman Xeo." He spoke hesitantly, unsure and afraid she might laugh at him.
Xeon gasped and pulled him back into a tight embrace, her body responding favorably to his confession. "It's okay, I'll teach you what to do."
Burying his face into the crook of her neck Celion fought back the complex emotions that threatened to ruin the mood. He loved her, had dreamed of this day, this moment, for years, and while he had wanted to experience all of this with her for the first time that had been taken from her and he felt jealousy try to burn through his gut.
"Not out here." He choked out, feeling weak from their frantic make-out session.
"Take me upstairs." Xeon pleaded, grinding her heat against him again.
"I already told ya, I won't be paying for ya like this." He added ardently, and pulled her body away from his to look her in the eye.
"I didn't say you would be, did I?" She smiled shyly and stretched her long neck to be as near his lips as possible
"Okay, darlin'." Celion sighed in relief and planted a tender kiss on her lips "Let me finish up in the kitchen." He added setting her on her feet.
"Hurry, I'll be waiting for you." Xeon smiled and handed back his jacket before she turned to rush through the kitchen up to her room.
Celion waited a few minutes for his heart to slow down and the swelling sacks in the base of his to calm before he returned to work.
Nash never returned to his establishment that night, he was busy garnering support for Precitto to replace Castor and bribing the remaining men to stay. Before dawn, he and the fox formed a pose to venture down into the canyon. The men gathered in the main hall as dawn approached. When the winds died down and the dust began to settle they headed out of the city to circle the plateau and scale down the canyon walls.
In the eerie light of the blue dawn, Inigmo rose to watch the tiny lizards come out and perch themselves on the rock ledge beside him. Giving himself time to warm up in the early rays, Inigmo ventures back down to the bottom of the canyon to find some breakfast for himself and Kolrabi.
Bee's nose twitched, a delicious scent teased at her senses, stirring her mind from sleep. She opened her eyes to the yellow ceiling of the cave, the heat of a fire to her right and to her left the cave wall made of yellow and orange striped layers of sandstone. Her consciousness struggled to return to her as she tried to move but her entire body felt stiff and lethargic.
"Are you okay?" Inigmo asked as he heard her whimper. Snapping her head to the side she saw the Oescerian sitting across the fire from her. Her eyes focused then on the source of the tantalizing smell and her stomach growled angrily at the sight of the Pikway hare roasting over the fire and the roots roasting in the coals along the edge. "You should eat, we need to start moving before any of those men come looking for us."
Bee sat up slowly, the dress she now wore as a top had grown stiff and crispy as she slept. When she moved bits of dried blood flaked off and she cringed at the smell of rust and burning iron with a rotten meat tinge to it. Ingomo watched as her pallor turned a shade of green and she covered her nose, holding her breath. He flicked his tongue into the air and caught the scent of the dried bits of flesh.
Standing he held out his hand. "Give me that garment. I will remove as much of the gore from it as I can while you eat."
"What about you?"
"I have already had my fill."
Bee paused for a moment weighing her options, she still didn't know this man but she was starving and the smell of her blood-soaked shirt was making her sick. Sighing she untied the knots in the front of her dress-turned top and used one arm to cover her breasts. She pulled it off over her head and free arm then switched arms, tossing the garment at the man she quickly covered herself as best she could.
Inigmo rolled his eyes at her modesty, in his culture breasts were not sexualized like they were in others. By the time he had gotten out of swaddling clothes, he had seen every type of breast there was. He snatched the garment out of the air and went outside to beat the cloth against a rock and lay it out to dry. He sat in the shade to avoid overheating, and gave Bee her privacy so she could eat. They would have to spend long hours in the sun later and he would be able to keep his energy up with the sun bearing down on them.
Bee waited until Inigmo was out of sight before she pulled the large hare off the fire and devoured the entire thing in seconds. Still hungry she ate all of the roots after wiping them off on her pants. Looking around she wondered if there was anything else she could eat, her body felt empty, like a bottomless pit. Disappointed that there was nothing else in the cave she studied the bones of the Pikway. Something inside her pushed her to pick up the larger bones and broke them open to suck out the marrow.
After only twenty minutes Inigmo shook out the fabric again and scrubbed it with a bit of sand then beat it against the rock once more. "Kolrabi, your garment is as clean as it will get out here in the dry wastes." He announced before he re-entered the cave. Freezing in the doorway he looked at the pieces of bone scattered around the fire pit before looking up to Bee as she licked the juices and marrow from her hands and arms as her tail swished and swayed behind her.
Retreating a step Inigmo kicked a rock and caused the Saiyan to snap her eyes up to him. He felt the same tremor track his spine when her eyes flashed red as they shifted in the light of the fire and a low growl emanated from her. Just as quickly as it happened it stopped and she shook her head.
"Is there anything else to eat? I feel like I could eat an entire Mogwil." Bee whined.
"There are more roots in the valley, but not enough time to cook them." Inigmo said hesitantly.
"I don't care, I'll chew them as we walk." Bee leaned forward on her hands and knees eager for more sustenance before she grew self-conscious of her nakedness and jumped back, covering herself with her arms.
The blue light of dawn came through the window casting long shadows across the room, and Celion's face. Xeon laid directly on top of his bulk as she traced her fingers over the lines of the beaded scales on his chest. She had dozed in her current position after making love for the first time in her life, Celion had been eager to please her and let her guide him in the ways she preferred. She blushed remembering her surprise at his anatomy; he was more like a large red and purple tongue between his legs than any of the other phalluses she had had in the last eight years. His scale-like skin opened and out came the wriggling tentacle, coated in lubricant that made her burn and tingle in the most exquisite way. She didn't think she would ever be able to experience such pleasure and joy in the coital acts of the bedroom, now she knew none of the men that came through would ever come close to what she had shared with Celion.
Blinking his eyes open the lizard-man looked down his body at the fingers caressing his flesh, then up to meet the owner's molten gold eyes.
"Good mornin'." He said in a voice raspy from sleep.
Xeon planted a sweet sensual kiss on his chest before purring back her own quiet, "Good morning."
"How am I goin' ta get you outta here?" he groaned as her lips skimmed over his flesh again and again.
"Maybe, we could talk to Bee, she is quite brilliant. She might be able ta do somethin' about my implant."
"Hahaha, last night you disparaged that girl, now ya call her brilliant? Ya might have ta grovel and apologize to her."
"It will be worth it if I can be with you and only you."
"I love you Xeo."
Sliding up his body and straddling his waist, Xeon kissed him deeply. Breaking apart she nuzzled her cheek against his and breathed out against his ear. "I love you too Cel."
Groaning he flipped them over and kissed down her naked body, disappearing under the thin sheet and worshiping her body as he knew she deserved.
Leading the pose formed at Castor's old estate, Nash and the men Precitto lent him fond Ingmo and Bee's first camp inside the cave. They follow the tracks to the pillar the runaway pair had landed on; they also find Inigmo's shoes. "That damn reptile is one of them, wild savages. We'll be lucky if we find them now." Commented one of the men.
"We're still gonna follow till we lose the trail. I wanna know what direction they are headed so I can hire some mercs and tackers to find that monkey bitch." Nash said, squeezing the controller for her implant. "I don't know how she escaped without this but I am gonna make sure that ass regrets what she's done."
They set out towards the mouth of the canyon where the trail was lost in the ever-changing dunes.
After gathering as many of the roots as she could carry, Bee and Inigmo set out across the desert. Working down the canyon to utilize the cover of the towering pillars. At one point Bee caught a lizard as long as her arm and was about to bite its head off to drink its blood and devour its flesh when Inigmo stopped her. The look of horror and contempt in his eyes made her release the lizard reluctantly. They exited the canyon at its mouth and made their way through the shifting sand dunes.
Traversing such an arid landscape proved difficult for the Saiyan. She existed in a constant state between hungry and famished. This slowed down their movement as they needed to stop earlier than Inigmo wanted, but they had to have time to hunt enough food in order for Kolrabi to be capable of resting for just a few hours. She would wake before dawn and search for more food, not caring if she ate it raw or covered in dirt. Inigmo would still hunt and cook a meal where Bee would eat again.
They traveled all day and sought refuge in the shelter of a canyon for the night. Following dried river beds to source water still hidden below the surface. Each time they left another canyon they would have to climb dunes hundreds of feet high beneath the unrelenting suns, only to scale down into yet another gorge and find a small cave or massive overhanging to sleep under. This pattern repeated for three more days.
Around noon on the fourth day, they entered a narrow canyon and journeyed deep into it until the walls towered overhead and the suns began to descend past its zenith. Hugging the shaded wall of the canyon they took a narrow pathway that rose along the edge. Bee used her tail to help her keep her balance as they moved along the trail barely fit for a goat. Inigmo moved nimbly down the path, clearly in his element in this landscape and among the scratching rocks and scorching sun.
Near the base of the highest, and only uninhabited, plateau on Albossca, Inigmo slowed his pace and felt around the wall as he clung to it. What he was looking for Bee didn't know, but she was growing tired and irritable with her exhaustion and unending hunger. She began to growl as she watched his muscular tail move while he balanced on the precarious cliffside. Thinking back to the lizard she had caught that first day her mouth watered. Bee closed the gap between them and as she reached out to grab hold of that thick muscular tail to sink her teeth into it Inigmo whooped in excitement.
"Woohoo! I have found it, come we are nearly there." he exclaimed before sliding between two rocks and seemingly disappeared. Bee was left out in the sun, frozen in place, hand outstretched drool dripping down her chin, eyes trained on the place the Oscearian had just been.
Shaking herself out of her derangement she moved forward to where he had vanished. Bee saw there was an opening and Inigmo was several feet ahead, down a claustrophobically narrow passage. She slipped through the thin crevasse in the sandstone walls. Following Inigmo she shimmied deeper through the tight space trying to force her body to fit. Inigmo's scales helped him glide through as the rough walls scraped and tore at her flesh and clothes. The narrow passageway went deep enough into the canyon wall that it grew dark within its depths. As they traveled deeper through the darkening tunnel Bee began to slightly panic as she struggled to move forward.
Eventually, the passage began to widen enough for her to move more easily and she could see a light flood into the passage as Inigmo exited several meters ahead of her. Relief washed over Bee at being able to see the end of their journey just feet away, she rushed to get through and out of this confining space. Bee emerged into a new canyon and the sight before her took her breath away.
Note:I used the Bearded Dragon's ability to change the shades of their scales as a reference for the way Celion (Elio) and Inigmo are capable of changing their pigment tones. In the earlier parts of the day when the sun starts to climb and warm the earth, they can expand the pigment cells in the center of their scales to make themselves darker. And when they are at an ideal temp they can shrink those cells to be lighter and reflect the sun better. This can also be applied in a scenario where camouflage is needed. This is very common for most lizards that live in the desert because of the wild temperature swings that can occur. They need to heat up fast and be able to reflect the unrelenting sun all within a couple of hours.
