A/N I am SO sorry for the delay, my power cord was left four hours away and I finally was able to borrow my brother's, I'm gonna just upload the remaining chapters on here anyway.
Chapter 9
Hun had his dragons stake out Mira's apartment for days. The cameras Donnie had set up in her windows meant that method of entry was a no go. They would be forced to take her through the apartment door but that was easily managed.
They had also managed to get ahold of her schedule and planned their assault on a night where they knew she was unlikely to receive a visit from Mikey.
It was on just such a night that Mira was sitting on the couch zoning out in front of the TV. She'd ordered some takeout a little while ago and was waiting for it to be delivered while she texted Mikey some funny pictures.
The knock on the door made her anticipate the arrival of her food…or so she thought. She opened the door and was met with the same man with the dragon tattoo that she'd managed to punch all those weeks ago.
She gasped and had no time to react before she was roughly grabbed and a gun was pressed against her head. "Don't even try it, bitch." He hissed in her ear.
He pulled her through the apartment and shut the door. "If you scream you're dead, so walk nice."
She gritted her teeth and kept a firm hold on her phone, managing to slip it inside her underwear so he couldn't see it, Luckily she had on some baggy sweatpants.
He pulled her along to a car waiting out front and shoved her in.
It was actually a vert nice, classy limo. Obviously these guys liked to travel in style. She sat awkwardly around several men with those similar purple tattoos. One man was a literal behemoth with bulging muscles and nearly white-blond hair, he was without a doubt their leader.
She was silent as he eyed her with a smug look on his face. "You're probably wondering what's going on. I'll be happy to explain. We're The Purple Dragons…sworn enemies of that turtle scum you're involved with…anyway your old flame Mark asked us to liberate you from their nasty clutches…"
She froze, ice coursing through her veins. "You didn't…"
"Look sweetheart, we'll do anything to gain the upper hand here, even if it means hand-delivering you to your psycho ex." He explained. "Those turtles are going to come looking for you, and I can't wait." he said, rubbing his hands together.
They continued driving, presumably to Mark's apartment delivering her like an Amazon package. Anxiety and fear were causing her to breathe a little more harshly but she dared not show it.
She resigned herself to her fate and tried to remain hopeful. The GPS tracker on her phone would work as long as they didn't know she had it…
Mikey was confused when Mira suddenly had stopped messaging him. He figured she was eating and went about doing his own thing. Maybe she'd message him later.
The car pulled up to Mark's apartment building and she was dragged out of their struggling and brought straight up to his apartment.
He opened the door and his face split into a sick grin. "You did it! Excellent work gentlemen." He said, looking very pleased.
Mira was shoved into his arms and Hun gave him a nod. "Thank you for providing us with the information we needed to finally be rid of those pesky turtles…"
The door closed and Mira was now completely at his mercy. "Mark…you need to let me go…" she said, trying to back away from him.
"Let you go? But you just got here." He said in mock sadness. "We have so much lost time to make up for." He said advancing on her.
This time her self-defense training did kick in and she grabbed his arm, twisting it and tried to punch him in the face. He let her go and she made a mad dash to the door.
Unfortunately it had so many locks that she'd never be able to open them all in time.
He recovered and slapped her across the face hard. She fell to her knees with a yelp of pain, clutching her burning cheek.
"Don't try that again or you'll just get it worse next time. You're mine now, don't you ever forget that." He snarled. "Or I could just tie you to a chair and leave you there...see how much you like that."
Unfortunately after that she was never allowed out of his sight. He'd tried to get her to eat but she'd refused so he'd decided to get drunk instead.
Mira was unable to text them or call for help. There were bars on the windows and at least ten locks on the front door.
He became more and more drunk and he began grinning lasciviously at her.
"Did you fuck him?" he suddenly asked her.
She stayed silent refusing to answer and feed into his anger.
"Did. You. Fuck. Him!?" he yelled and shoved her up against the wall, caging her with his hands on either side of her head.
"Stop it Mark, please…you're drunk." She pleaded.
He was touching her now, trying to feel her breasts through her shirt. "Do you remember…I used to make you scream…" he was very close now and she could smell the alcohol on his breath. "There's no way he could make you feel the way I did." He forced a kiss on her and she had no choice but to respond a little.
She also knew better than to argue with him when he was like this. Instead she focused on trying to get him to stop touching her. She broke the kiss and said. "You look tired…shouldn't we go to sleep?"
"I'm gonna wash his filthy scent off of you…" he said and pushed his hand between her legs.
She gasped and her heart sank when he felt her cell phone there.
"The fuck…?" he pulled it out. "Planning on calling for help were you…" he flung the cell phone into the wall smashing it to pieces. "That's the last time you try to hide something from me…"
The words tumbled out before she could stop them. "I'm sorry Mark…I promise I won't do that again…I did miss you, I want to be with you but I'd rather you be sober first…"
He liked that and backed up to give her some room. "Sure I can't convince you to have a drink with me? I know how you get after you've had a few too many…" he smirked.
She faked a yawn and said. "I'm just feeling really tired…please…let's go to bed."
There was a hint of reluctance but he eventually agreed and allowed her to follow him to the bedroom. Because of how much he'd already had he passed out immediately and she curled up on the other side of the large bed. She'd managed to buy herself some time and just hoped that Mikey and the others had realized she was gone and that the tracker on her phone still worked.
Mikey was indeed getting a little worried. It had been hours now since he'd heard from her and every time he called, her phone went straight to voicemail. That was odd and it wasn't like her to go so long without answering him. He thought about going topside to check her apartment and decided to go to Leo for advice.
"Hey…Leo?" Mikey said. "I know you're probably gonna say I'm being a worrywart but Mira suddenly stopped answering texts and now her phone is going to voicemail without even ringing once, like it's dead."
Leo stopped the swordplay move he was working on and turned his attention to his little brother. "And that's not like her?" he asked.
"No, dude. I think she might be in trouble...real trouble." Mikey said with a worried sigh.
Leo exited the dojo and said. "Go topside and check it out. We'll get Donnie to check the tracker on her phone."
Mikey nodded, grabbed his gear and left. In no time at all he was at Mira's apartment. The lights were all still on which was odd and her window was unlocked.
He had a really bad feeling about this…
He stepped into the apartment and checked it. Everything was left on, the lights, the television; it was like she just dropped everything and left. A quick check out the front door revealed her uneaten dinner. Thinking maybe she'd passed out or something he went and checked all the rooms.
Instead of finding Mira he was ambushed by Hun and at least half a dozen purple dragons that entered through the windows.
"Shit…" he cursed. "Of course." He drew his weapons and readied himself for a fight.
Hun gave him a slow clap as he walked out of the bedroom. "Well done turtle…we knew you would come."
"So you have her then? I swear to God if you've hurt her…" Mikey growled.
"Relax…she's in good hands. We met a very interesting fellow from a new restaurant in the upper west side…goes by the name of…oh what was it…Oh yeah, Mark." hun said grinning evilly.
Mikey felt the anger in him explode into full-blown rage. "You just…gave her to that lunatic?!"
Hun chuckled low in his throat. "You still don't seem to understand the lengths we will go to find you…" he cracked his neck and pounded his huge fist into his hand. "Once we have you your brothers will follow and finally we'll be rid of you turtle scum."
"You'll have to catch me first…" Mikey said brandishing his nun-chucks.
He fought bravely managing to disarm, incapacitate or injure more than a few dragons but when it came to Hun he was just not strong enough to take him down and the purple dragons just kept coming.
He was breathing harshly, exhausted, beaten but still trying to fight.
Unfortunately his perception was off and when he tried to attack again he was knocked out by one of Hun's devastating punches. The dragons collected his unconscious body and set about taking him back to their hideout leaving their calling card for the other turtles to find.
In the lair Donnie was checking Mira's tracker and had noticed something strange. "It stopped giving off a signal about an hour ago but I think I can pinpoint its last known location." A few clicks later and he had the answer. "Got it, it's in the upper west side somewhere."
Leo nodded. "I'll check in with Mikey." He pulled out his shell phone communicator and tried contacting him. "That's strange, he's not answering."
"Something stinks about this Leo…and it ain't the sewers." Raphael said. "I think little bro is in over his head."
"Yeah…I think this is getting to be a lot bigger than we realize." We need to go up and check on him. "Don, what is Mikey's last known location?"
Donnie rapidly clicked his keyboard. "Mira's apartment, by all accounts he should still be there."
"We leave now." Leo said. "Ready yourselves."
The three of them were at the apartment and looked on in horror at absolute destruction that had taken place there. It had been a huge battle and while it had appeared Mikey had fought bravely it was obvious what had happened.
"Purple dragons…" Raph muttered stabbing his sai through the card that was left on her wrecked coffee table.
"I don't need to tell you what happened to Mikey." Leo stated. "We'll have to go get him…" he sighed.
"Yep, clearly walked right into a trap…" Raph murmured in annoyance.
"Well can you blame him Raph?! His girlfriend is missing, very possibly in grave danger. Do you have any idea what that's like? Do you know what they're going to do to him if we don't come?" Leo said, exasperated.
Raph was silent for a moment. "Actually yeah…I do know." He finally said. "You're right Leo."
"And who's going to rescue Mira?" Donnie pointed out.
Leo thought for a moment. "Time to call in some friends…"
About an hour later a very sleepy looking Casey and April were sitting on their couch listening in awe and horror at everything that had transpired. "Can we count on you to rescue Mira? Donnie has it on good authority that she's being held in an apartment on the upper west side…we don't know much more unfortunately."
"Absolutely." April said with no hesitation.
Casey looked uncomfortable. "But babe…are you sure—"
"Casey. We are going to rescue this girl." Her tone left no room for argument.
Leo looked visibly relieved. "I knew we could count on you." He turned to the others. "Get some rest, we leave at dawn."
In the cool mist of the early morning the three brothers set off to the purple dragons hideout while Casey and April geared up to rescue Mira.
The girl in question had been rudely awakened by Mark who dragged her off the bed and shoved her into the bathroom. "I gotta check the restaurant." He said locking the door from the outside.
"I won't be gone long…just take a shower or something." He was still a bit hungover but shook it off to go in and prep his restaurant for the day.
Mira was left sitting on the toilet in the windowless bathroom. The advantage of this was that he didn't leave her tied her to a chair unable to use the toilet, which she did need to do badly.
She wasn't about to take a shower though.
Casey and April were getting closer to the location. They wore street clothes as to not draw attention to themselves but carried their weapons in a bag. Once they gained access to the apartment building they geared up in the elevator.
"April…don't push yourself too hard." Casey pleaded He walked closer and placed a hand on her belly. "Please…if they have guns let me handle it."
April suddenly drew him in for a fierce kiss. "I promise…" she whispered. "I won't do anything reckless."
They stepped off the elevator and zeroed in on the apartment. Casey tried to lock-pick the doorknob but it was abundantly clear that there was more than one lock in use here. He finally just adopted the age-old method of kicking the door down. It worked.
April and Casey jumped through the opening battle ready but there was no one there. She glanced at the door. "What the…there's like twenty different locks on this thing…"
Mira had been sitting on the bathroom floor when she heard the crash. "Is somebody there?!" she called.
April was still checking the living room when she heard it. "Casey shh…" she said.
"Somebody help!" Mira tried again.
"Here!" April said standing outside the bathroom door. "Mira is that you?"
"Yes!" her muffled voice came from the inside of the bathroom.
April nodded to Casey. "Do it."
"Stand back, okay?" Casey said and kicked the door causing it to swing violently open.
Mira jumped up and ran to her two friends. "How did you find me? I thought the tracker was destroyed…"
April pulled her into a firm hug. "I'm so glad you're safe. Donnie was able to grab its last known location." She explained.
Mira hugged her back. "We've gotta leave, Mark could be back at any moment…" As she said that the person in question just returned.
"What the fuck is going on here…" he had just stepped through the broken front door and surveyed the damage. "Who the fuck are you?"
Mira gasped, he'd gotten ahold of a handgun and was holding it in front of him.
Casey deftly moved in front of both April and Mira. "Buddy…put the gun down, you don't want to do this…" he said holding his hands up.
"No! If I can't have her…" he clicked the hammer down, preparing to shoot. "No one can…"
This situation was beginning to escalate wildly out of control. Mira had to do something to save her friends. "I can handle this…"
April grabbed her arm. "Mira no, let Casey…" she whispered.
"It has to be me…" she said and began to slowly walk toward him. "Mark…put the gun down."
He looked unhinged, the gun in his hands shook as he kept it trained on her. "No, you're just going to leave me again…"
"You need to get some help…I know you don't really want to kill me." She had walked close enough that she was mere feet away from him now. She brought her hand down and gently started pushing the gun down to the floor.
"I can't live without you…" he said in a strangled voice and as the gun was being lowered he suddenly turned it on himself.
"Mark, no!" Mira cried.
"This is the only way…" he said holding the gun up against his head.
Mira gasped in horror as he pulled the trigger but nothing happened. The gun jammed and didn't fire. Using the move Leo taught her she was able to grab the gun and Casey was able to tie him up.
Police were then called, Mira was able to give a statement and Mark was taken into custody.
The nightmare was over for her but for Mikey it was just beginning…
Mikey had his arms shackled above his head and barely had enough strength to even hold his head up. The dragons had been relentlessly beating him for hours.
He'd been hit in the face repeatedly and had spat out some blood the last time. Still, he refused to talk or give them the satisfaction of seeing him cry out in pain.
Hun finally walked in.
"Had enough?" he asked with a merciless chuckle.
Mikey just glared at him silently.
"Surprised your brothers haven't come for you yet…guess they needed their beauty rest." He smirked.
Mikey stayed silent, nothing mattered anymore. He didn't care how much they beat him or how much pain he was in. His girlfriend was probably being beaten and raped by her psycho ex and there wasn't a single thing he could do about it. So he had resigned himself to his fate.
Hun was getting annoyed and landed a heavy punch to his stomach finally causing him to grunt in pain.
"Fine, I guess we'll just need to try harder to get you to scream…" Hun said with a sinister smile.
Meanwhile, Leo and his brothers had reached the purple dragons hideout. They were going to have to be covert about this rescue since they were seriously outnumbered. Leo had also managed to get a quick call from April letting them know that Mira was safe and coming back to their apartment with them.
Donnie was making quick work of their security system. He'd also brought along a couple homemade bombs that he was going to rig to explode as a last resort.
Raphael was itching for a fight and paced impatiently.
Leo was giving them one final pep talk. "Alright, we don't know what state we're going to find Mikey in but we know he's most likely alive. Donnie you're gonna be on med duty. Raph bust some heads but keep your own head clear, okay?"
"Ya don't have to tell me twice, Leo. He's my baby bro but he's a dumbass for lettin' himself get into this situation." Raph said.
"Donnie, how's that system coming?" Leo asked.
The purple-wearing turtle was concentrating on his device and clicked a few more buttons. "Alright, alarms are silenced but we need to avoid the cameras. Once we get in we need to find out where they're keeping Mkey."
"Alright, Donnie set the charges." Leo said.
Donnie went to work and soon there were several little bombs set on the roof and the upper support beams.
Quickly and silently the brothers ninja'd their way inside and avoided the cameras. They began looking for the room that held the security feed for the entire building.
Any dragons they met on the way were easily taken out by Raph. "Not even breakin' a sweat…" he bragged, and expertly twirled his sai.
Finally they found what they were looking for, a room with several video monitors set up. It was only occupied by one man but he was tied up and gagged before he could utter a sound.
It didn't take them long to find Mikey...Donnie gasped in horror and Leo narrowed his eyes dangerously.
"They're beating the shit outta him." Raph growled.
"We gotta go now." Leo's voice was firm. "Donnie can you pinpoint his location?"
"Yeah…" Donnie was still at a loss for words at the horrifying images.
Leo was deadly calm as he drew his swords. "Lead. The. Way."
Mikey was being held on the ground floor. The brothers fought their way through whatever they had to and without mercy.
Finally they reached the door, they knew Hun would waiting but Mikey was not able to take much more.
Raph burst through the door with a roar.
Hun gave them a slow clap. "Finally…we've been waiting hours."
"Donnie…see to Mikey." Leo readied his katanas, narrowed his gaze and was ready to fight.
Raphael flipped his sai and cracked his neck. "Save some for me Leo…"
While Raph and Leo were engaged in fighting Hun, Donnie picked the locks of his shackles and helped his poor brother to the floor.
He was barely conscious and one of his eyes was almost completely swollen shut. "Donnie?" he asked weakly.
"Sh…don't try to talk Mikey, let me get you patched up a little. We're going to get you out of here." He set about dressing the wounds that were actually bleeding and wrapping bandages around the worst of them.
"Mira…?" he moaned.
"She's safe Mikey, April and Casey rescued her." Donnie said and felt his little brother sag in relief. He threw his arm over his shoulder and said to Leo and Raph. "I'm getting him out of here!"
Raph and Leo were still fighting Hun; he was as formidable as ever. Even two against one was extremely challenging.
Hun was able to throw his weight around and used his massive fists to punch either of them straight into the walls.
Donnie just focused on getting Mikey to the Battle Shell that they'd hidden there earlier. Once he was safely inside he went back into the building to give Raph and Leo a hand.
"I'm gonna set the charges to go off in five minutes!" Donnie said into the communicator that fed directly to Leo and Raph's earpieces.
"Roger, Donnie." He heard Leo answer.
Donatello made his way back to the ongoing battle and wondered how he could help. They needed some way to incapacitate Hun so he wouldn't be able to follow them.
He looked around and noticed a lot of heavy-looking boxes stacked up in the warehouse. "That works…" he said to himself.
"Raph, Leo, lead him over my way, I've got a plan." Donnie said and watched as his brothers back-flipped towards him. "Get clear when I give the signal!"
When Hun, Raph and Leo were standing just in the right spot Donnie used his Bo as a lever and started tilting the boxes more and more until they were about ready to fall. "Now!" he called.
Raph and Leo jumped away and the massive amount of stuff came crashing on top of Hun. He gasped in surprise before it covered him completely. For the moment he wasn't going anywhere.
"Let's go!" Leo called and they rushed toward the Battle Shell.
Donnie had just started the engine when the first of the charges exploded. The whole roof went up in flames. Leo made a covert call to Police and the Fire Department making them aware of the situation.
Leo and Raph took turns looking after Mikey who was in very rough shape and had finally passed out.
They needed to get him home to monitor his condition. Leo quickly phoned Casey and April to update them on the situation. Their brother was safe…and the dragons were defeated. Now it was time to heal.
End Chapter 9
A/N: Aw, poor Mikey...I really didn't want to write him getting so beaten up but he'll heal.
