Brooke's P.O.V.

The first thing I feel when I start to wake up is that my head is pounding and my eyes are really heavy. God...what happened? I was at Agnes' and then...and then he grabbed me. I remember struggling, and his hands. They were rough; that's how I could tell it was a man. I didn't see his face, but I knew.

"She left...she left...she left...she left, but she came back...she came back. He brought her back." I had to force my eyes to open in order to see where the voice was coming from. When I do I see an older man pacing back and forth: ringing his hands through his hair. He just kept going back and forth back and forth until all of the sudden he turned toward me, and a ping of fear went through me as I shuddered.

"Victoria, sweetie, welcome back; you don't know how much I've missed you so much." What? Who was Victoria?

"My name's Brooklynn." Uh oh did I say the wrong thing. He started to shake his head back and forth before putting both of his hands on my cheeks. I tried to move my hands to push him away, but that was when I realised that my hands were bound by something cold...metal.

"Oh Victoria you're just confused; like you were before." Before? Before what? Who left? Who was Victoria? I just wanted to go home to Abuela, Zoe, Curtain Call, Kim...Kim...what would Kim do? Alright Brooke think; what would Kim tell you to do? How would Kim survive this? Come on, think. Kim would probably try to collect as much information she could about him before addressing him. Alright Brooke...focus. His hands were still on my cheeks, and he was still in front of me so I couldn't see ahead of me. I could only see through my peripheral vision. The ground that I was sitting on felt like concrete, and I was laying against the wall which felt cold. That meant that I was most likely in a basement or something underground because the air combined with the wall and floor reminded me of this indoor cave that Kim had taken Zoe and I a couple of years ago. Ok so I'm most likely in the bottom story of a building which means that if I can get out I should hopefully be able to get somewhere that has people who can call for help. In order to do that though I would have to get out of the shackles, but figure that out later. Collect information then put together a plan; don't let fear control you now. You can freak out when you're safe. He obviously is delusional of some sort...right? I'm only taking a half year class of psychology, but I listened to the symptoms of what could qualify someone as delusional. Now I have to get into his head, and figure out why he is delusional because that might be my way to reach him. A way to give Kim and her team more time to find me...there's no way Abuela didn't go to her when I wasn't at Agnes'. Kim will find me. I just have to buy myself as much time as I can. Wait...maybe I could even get him to take me to Kim. He's obviously looking for whoever this Victoria was.

"Please sir, I don't know who Victoria is, but I do know someone who could find her...just let me call her."

"Why do we need to call her when you're right here, honey? You're just confused. He'll help you." Who is he? Maybe it was just a delusional person. Someone he made up...hopefully. All I know is that I don't want to meet him; I just want to go home.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not Victoria. My name is Brooklynn...please." SLAP. The pain that followed the noise was worse than anything: it brought not only pain, but fear. The force of the hit had been so strong that my head ended up turning with the direction of his hand.

I wish that I didn't turn to look back at him. His eyes had turned to steel, and the frown had been replaced with a set of stern lips. The look he was giving me now: it scared me.

"Now listen to me girl. Your name is Victoria, and you are very sorry that you left. You will never leave again. Repeat after me. I will never leave again." As he started his hand went against my neck, and with each word he squeezed harder. I just want Kim.

"I will never leave...again." I didn't believe it...I just needed to give Kim time. She'll find me.
