Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing Naruto take on the other drones Vilgax sends after the Omnitrix, with the battle going differently due to him not having Diamondhead. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
After his fight with the drones and being told not to transform into anymore aliens, Naruto went behind the Rust Bucket when Jiraiya and Taiyang left to go investigate where the pod crash landed. With the Uzumaki currently looking at all the other aliens in the watch. Sorely tempted to transform into one again, though knew he'd only get in trouble, so stuck to simply looking at them and guessing what they could do.
"Wonder what this one can do?" Naruto muttered while looking at a silhouette with bug-like wings, before jumping when Tamago, Yang, and Ruby suddenly appeared.
"Got you!" Yang said, smirking when her friend jumped, while Tamago and Ruby laughed, as Naruto rolled his eyes at realizing it was them.
"Yeah, hahaha, very funny." Said Naruto before looking back at the watch, getting the girls' attention.
"Jiraiya and Taiyang said not to transform into anymore aliens, or to mess with that thing." Tamago stated, given how they still didn't know what the watch was or where it came from.
"Yeah, I know. But come on, you can't deny that you three are just as curious as I am about what the other aliens, I could turn into are. One can control electricity and the other is super-fast and strong; just imagine what the other eight can do." Naruto replied, really wanting to test out the other aliens; with the girls being unable to help, but nod in agreement.
"Ooooh, that one definitely looks strong." Said Yang, when Naruto went to an alien that looked really bulky, with claws coming out of its hands.
"I think so too. I've just been guessing what they can do. But I have no idea if I'm right or not since there's no telling what they can do or look like." Said Naruto, knowing there's no telling what the aliens can do, given the fact they're aliens alone, makes it so they could do practically anything.
"Well, we should still listen to dad and Jiraiya about being careful. Otherwise, more of those drones may end up appearing." Ruby said, only to see Naruto, Tamago, and Yang look at her dryly.
"Ruby, don't pretend you don't want more drones to show up, so you can take more parts from them." Tamago said, fully knowing that the ravenette did take some of the drones' parts, when Jiraiya and Taiyang weren't looking.
"She's right, Ruby. We know you took some drone parts and are hoping more will appear, so you can collect some more." Added Naruto, with Ruby actually looking insulted at their accusations.
"Wha…I wouldn't…how dare…I am insulted and hurt! Dad said not to take any, and I didn't-" Ruby said, denying the accusations, but stopping then Yang put a hand on her shoulder.
"Rubes, we know you took some parts, so don't bother denying it." Yang stated, causing Ruby to shrink into herself, while blushing in embarrassment.
"…They're alien drones! How couldn't I take some parts?!" Said Ruby, knowing she couldn't resist the chance to collect alien technology and use it when she builds her scythe, along with so many other gadgets that she could make with them.
While the trio smiled and laughed slightly at her expression, all three of them knowing how obsessed she could get over weapons. And encountering alien technology would definitely be something Ruby wouldn't be able to pass up on collecting.
"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone, as long as you make sure to share whatever you build and collect." Naruto said, with Yang and Tamago nodding in agreement, all of them also liking the idea of upgrading their weapons, or future weapons in the case of the twins, with alien technology.
"Definitely! But I get first dibs!" Replied Ruby, not minding sharing anything she collects, but she will definitely be choosing what she gets to keep.
*With Jiraiya and Taiyang*
Meanwhile, Jiraiya and Taiyang soon arrived at where the pod had crashed, only to not find the pod anywhere in sight. Making the two frown, only to soon find what they guessed were the broken remains of the pod.
"Guess something got here, before we did." Taiyang said, picking up a fragment and looking it over to see what could have destroyed the pod.
"Yeah, and I don't like this; not one bit." Stated Jiraiya while frowning as he looked around, spotting what looked like an impact sight for something big and most likely deadly.
"Just in case, you got those loaded up?" Jiraiya asked while motioning to Taiyang's gauntlets, with the former Huntsman nodding in response.
"I placed some Dust in them, before we left." Replied Taiyang, given his gauntlets were able to be loaded with different kinds of Dust, making it so his punches would have different effects depending on the kind of Dust he used.
"Good, because something tells me we'll need to be ready." Said Jiraiya, feeling like the normal part of their road trip was officially over.
*With Naruto, Tamago, Yang, and Ruby*
"So…any idea on who could have even built that thing, and why they'd build it?" Yang asked as they all sat around the campfire, with the girls roasting marshmallows while Naruto kept fiddling with the watch.
"As this point, I'd say anyone not from Remnant could have built it. Maybe there's even an alien in here that's like them and is super smart, or something." Replied Naruto, betting that it was probably someone much smarter than anyone else on Remnant, or possibly all of space, that built the watch.
"Whoever they are, they've definitely got to be someone really smart to build something that can transform a person into who knows how many different kinds of aliens." Stated Tamago, making Ruby look at her in confusion.
"But there's only ten in there." Ruby said, seeing that while it was impressive, there didn't seem to be that many aliens that Naruto could transform into.
"Think about it, sis. Why would whoever built that watch only settle for putting in ten aliens? If it were you, would you settle for ten or put in as many as you could find?" Said Yang while looking at her sister, with the ravenette gaining a thoughtful expression before her eyes widened.
"Oh…ooooooh…" Ruby said, realizing they were right and there could be who knows how many aliens loaded into the watch.
"Exactly. By the way, what was it even like transforming into those aliens? What did it feel like?" Tamago asked while turning to her brother, curious at what it felt like for him to transform into the aliens.
"At first, it really freaked me out. But after getting used to it, I realized that I still felt like me, but different. It's hard to describe, I was still me, but also like I was somebody else." Replied Naruto, having still felt like himself, only in a different body.
"I've heard of walking a mile in another person's shoes, but never in another person's feet!" Yang said with a grin while looking around, only to be met with dry looks.
"Well, I'm surprised to see you all are still here." Said Jiraiya as he and Taiyang returned to the campsite, getting the kids' attention.
"Yeah, we actually expected to find you gone." Taiyang added, the two having expected Naruto to transform into another alien again.
"Hey! We can be responsible!" Retorted Naruto in annoyance, with the girls' nodding in agreement, also annoyed at the lack of faith.
"Right, responsible…that's why it seems you were pulling pranks every day in Signal." Jiraiya stated, knowing that Naruto was a known troublemaker with his pranks, with the girls always helping him when they could.
"…Those are only for those that deserved them." Tamago said, since they couldn't deny that.
"Mayday! Mayday! Somebody help us! We're under attack by some sort of robot! The Grimm are being drawn in, the Huntsmen are doing their best to hold them back, but we need help!"
Everyone's attention immediately turned to the Rust Bucket when they heard the radio inside. Their eyes widening as they heard the broadcast.
"That sounds like the robots that attacked us! It must be here looking for the watch! Those people are in trouble, because of me!" Said Naruto before looking at the watch, knowing that the robot must be after the watch, like the last ones, before he gained a determined expression and stood up.
"I can help them!" Naruto said, knowing that with the watch, he could help those people, with the girls immediately standing up as well.
"Don't even think about taking all the fun this time!" Said Yang, eager for the chance to take out some robots and Grimm, herself.
"I'm going too!" Ruby added, also wanting to try and help, along with collect more parts from the robot.
"Someone has to make sure you three don't get into too much trouble." Tamago stated, also wanting to help.
"Absolutely not! You four are still kids, and nowhere near ready to face Grimm or another robot. Especially if it's stronger than those other ones!" Taiyang said, refusing to let his daughters anywhere near a dangerous fight.
"Agreed, leave the Grimm and robot to the Huntsmen. You four just stay here." Added Jiraiya, not wanting them to get involved either, especially given what Kushina would do to them if anything happened to Naruto and Tamago.
"You can't stop us! Those robots only showed up because I have this watch and used it! I have to fight, otherwise what's the point of even having this thing on my wrist?!" Naruto said, refusing to let them stop him from trying to help.
With the girls nodding in agreement, as while they weren't being targeted by the robots, they still planned to become Huntresses and help people. And right now, there were people that needed help, and no one was going to stop them from going.
Jiraiya and Taiyang looked at the four in surprise, before trading a look and sighing; doubting, they'd be able to stop them from going.
"Fine, but you three will do what we say. Naruto, at least, has that watch to transform, but you three don't and still don't have real combat experience." Jiraiya said, making the kids nod before they all ran towards the campground.
Before they arrived, Naruto looked at the watch and saw it was glowing green and ready, making him smirk and press the button with the dial popping up.
"Yeah. Now, let's see which one of you will be the most useful…" Naruto said while cycling through the different aliens, before settling on the one with bug-like wings.
"Here goes, something!" Said Naruto, slamming the dial back down before he was enveloped in a green light.
Feeling the watch sink into his wrist and his veins bulge, Naruto felt his body begin transforming and become incredibly cold before the feeling vanished. Before feeling his feet transform, his toes merging into two longer ones while a third grew out of the back of his feet. A similar feeling in his hands as his two middle fingers merged together, leaving only three and his thumb on both hands.
While from his back, Naruto felt four objects emerge realizing they were wings, along with two smaller objects from the back of his neck. The transformation soon ended and the light faded, revealing to the others what Naruto transformed into.
He was a humanoid, moth-like alien, with four wings and two antennae on his back, a black body with cyan patches on his arms, shoulders, legs, the back of his wings, and the back of his neck that resemble ice chunks. Each patch has thick blue outlining except for the ones on his wings, which are outlined in black. There is also a black line that runs on the edge of the outer margin on the back of each wing.
On his torso are three plates: one resembling the chest, a shorter plate under the chest, and one resembling the stomach. On his face are blue cheeks and under jaw, a mouth that always shows bluish-white teeth, and large blue eyes with dark blue spots. The top of his head also sports a blue Y-shaped marking that extends over his scalp. He has three pointed fingers and a thumb on each hand, and two toes on each foot and a third toe-like extension on his ankles. With the watches dial being on his chest as well.
"Woah, what do you think this guy can do?" Tamago asked, before watching as his wings and antennae folded around his body, like a poncho, giving him the appearance of a phantom.
"I don't know, but I bet it's gonna be…cool." Replied Naruto with his voice coming out in a whispery tone, accompanied by puffs of cold air.
*Later*
It didn't take long for the group to arrive at the campgrounds and found it overrun with Beowolves and Ursa, along with seeing the robot that caused all this. Seeing it was over, or at least close to, forty feet tall, with a more humanoid upper body and insectoid legs. With the robot currently shooting lasers at the cars and trailers, with everyone running around panicking.
"Looks like ro-papa showed up this time. Guess he's not happy about what you did to his kiddies." Yang stated while looking at the giant robot.
"Yeah, how about I go apologize. Jiraiya, Taiyang, think you can help deal with the Grimm while Tamago, Yang, and Ruby help get everyone to safety?" Asked Naruto while looking at them, with the two nodding in response.
"We can handle them, just be careful with the robot. There's no telling what else it can do." Replied Jiraiya, before he and Taiyang ran to help take down the Grimm.
"Good luck, Naruto!" Ruby said as she, Yang, and Tamago went to get everyone one away.
"Okay, let's see what you can do." Naruto said to himself, before his wings unfolded and he flew into the air, stumbling a few times at the new sensation of flying.
"That'll definitely take some getting used to." Stated Naruto while taking a few moments to get used to flying, before rushing the drone when it picked up a park ranger that tried helping a civilian.
Acting on instinct, Naruto let out a blast of frozen wind from his mouth, hitting the drone and causing ice to begin growing on its back. With this getting the drone's attention and making it release the ranger, while turning to face Naruto. The drone scanning Naruto, before zeroing in on the watches dial on his chest, seeing its target was here.
"Ice powers huh, that's really cool. And as for you, tin can, you should chill more. Here, I'll help!" Said Naruto, releasing another blast of wind, only for the drone to shoot a laser through it at the transformed Uzumaki.
The blast sending Naruto crashing into an RV, before the drone shot another blast at the RV, causing it to explode. Seeing this, the drone approached the wreckage to retrieve the device for its master. While Naruto emerged from the wreckage, phasing through it.
"Intangibility too, huh? Starting to really like this guy." Naruto stated, before looking at the wreckage to see it had begun freezing from where he'd phased through it.
"And freezing anything, I go through. Looks like I have even more ways to put you on ice." Added Naruto while turning back to the drone and flying into the air.
Dodging the drone's laser blasts, Naruto got in close before turning intangible and going right through the drone, causing it to begin freezing. Not stopping there, Naruto flew down and released his freezing breath on the drone's legs, ensuring it wouldn't be able to move. Before he grunted in pain, when he was shot in the back and sent crashing to the ground.
Rubbing his head, Naruto looked up only to see two UFO drones like before, while noticing the bigger drones' shoulder spikes emerges from its body, as if replacing previous ones. Before more drones emerged from its shoulders and began shooting the ice to free the bigger drone or joining the others in attacking Naruto.
"Oh joy, papa brought the rest of his kids. Sorry, but I never did play nice with others." Naruto said, before flying up to avoid the smaller drones blasting him.
Meanwhile, Tamago, Yang, and Ruby were busy getting people away from the fighting; ensuring they all stuck together.
"This way, quickly!" Ruby said while motioning towards an escape away from the Grimm and the robots.
"Stick together, don't run off or get separated!" Said Tamago, not wanting the group to get separated from each other.
Unfortunately, before they could escape, they were stopped when several Beowolves jumped in front of them. Growling at the humans and Faunus, before lunging at them.
"Bad dog!" Yang said while jumping in front of the group as Ember Celica unfolded, slamming her fist into the Beowolves face, with her gauntlet going off and shooting it right in the head, killing it.
With Ruby using her Semblance to grab some pipes as makeshift weapons for her and Tamago. Before the two begun swinging their pipes at the other Beowolves, when they got near, with the white-haired girl ducking under one's claws.
"Heel!" Said Tamago, slamming the pipe into the Beowolves head, dazing the Grimm before stabbing it right into its chest; causing it to fall over and begin dissolving.
"Now play dead." Tamago said while pulling out her pipe.
Ruby sped around the group of civilians, swinging her pipe at any Beowolves that got close and knocking them back.
"Need to make some weapons, when we have some free time." Muttered Ruby, getting the feeling this won't be a rare occurrence and knew that she and Tamago would need actual weapons to use.
Ruby then sped underneath a Grimm and stab her pipe into its underbelly, before kicking it away into a tree. Watching as it dissolved into smoke, before she continued defending the group.
Luckily, most of the Grimm were focused on the Huntsmen, allowing the girls to deal with the few that came after them, before motioning the civilians to keep moving to get away. Before they took notice of Naruto flying through the air and dodging blaster fire from the drones.
"Yang, throw me!" Tamago said while running towards the blonde brawler, who nodded and got ready.
"Right!" Replied Yang, grabbing hold of Tamago once she started passing her, before spinning around and throwing the albino into the air towards the drones.
Holding the pipe up, Tamago stabbed it right into the lens of a drone, causing it to sputter out of control and descend towards the ground. With the girl jumping off it and kicking another drone, sending it careening into a third; making both explode once they collided. While Naruto flew over and caught her, before placing his sister back on the ground.
"Thanks for the help, those things are annoying in larger numbers." Naruto said, having managed to take a few of them out, before being forced to dodge the rest of them.
"No problem, I think we got everyone away. But we can't be sure." Replied Tamago, with Naruto nodding in response while looking around to see if anyone else was nearby.
"Well, just be careful, who knows how many more drones are inside the big…oh shit." Said Naruto when he was suddenly grabbed by the now free big drone.
Turning intangible again, Naruto froze the drone's arm before shattering it, when he turned tangible again. While dodging another laser from its remaining arm.
"Okay, seriously man, you need to chill out." Naruto said before flying in close and blasting the drone's head with his freezing breath.
Once the head was completely frozen, Naruto punched it as hard as he could, causing it to shatter, leading to the body collapsing to the ground.
'Still relatively intact, I'm sure Ruby will have fun picking it apart.' Thought Naruto, knowing his friend will be happy to have the drone mostly intact, as opposed to the other destroyed ones.
"Yeah! Way to go Na…uh, ice bug guy!" Said Yang while cheering for her friend, only to stop at seeing the people still around look at them, before quickly stopping herself from saying his name.
Looking around, Naruto saw the Huntsmen were beginning to clear out the remaining Grimm; but could see more were still showing up. Flying overhead, Naruto released his freezing breath on the Grimm, leaving all of them frozen solid, much to the surprise of the Huntsmen as they all looked up at the transformed Uzumaki.
"Looks like that's all of them, I'll leave the rest to you guys. See ya!" Naruto said before flying off to find somewhere to land, for when he transformed back.
*Vilgax's Ship*
Meanwhile, within Vilgax's Ship, the warlord was learning what had happened to the other drones he'd sent to retrieve the Omnitrix.
"Failure?! Unbelievable!" Vilgax shouted, angered to learn that once again his drones had failed in retrieving the Omnitrix, knowing if he could, he would have gone to get it himself if it wasn't for his current condition.
"The puny Human or Faunus that is keeping the Omnitrix from me…will soon hang on my trophy wall!" Swore Vilgax, swearing he won't stop until he's retrieved the Omnitrix and whoever is keeping it from him will suffer untold horrors, once he has them in his grasp.
And anyone that dares to get in his way, will learn what it means to stand against Vilgax!
*Timeskip-One Day*
*Campsite*
The next morning, Tamago, Yang, Ruby, Jiraiya, and Taiyang were packing up everything from last night, ready to move on to their next destination.
"Where's Naruto?" Questioned Jiraiya, wondering where Naruto had gone off to after he said he was going for a walk.
"I haven't seen him since breakfast." Tamago replied, starting to get worried for her brother, given the chance of more drones showing up.
"Me neither." Said Ruby, having not seen Naruto either.
"I bet he went alien and is messing with some people, right now." Yang stated, making Jiraiya and Taiyang frown, given while they let Naruto transform last night to fight the drones, they still didn't want him transforming into aliens.
"He really shouldn't, since we still don't know what that watch can do." Taiyang said, with Jiraiya nodding in agreement, with them also silently thinking that they really needed to get it off, before Kushina finds out and kills them.
Though everyone's attention soon turned to a sudden sonic boom before Naruto arrived, having transformed into the fast feline alien. With him managing to skid to a halt, rather than end up crashing into anything, like last night.
"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late, I wanted to get some earlier morning training done and I think I've gotten a lot better as Fasttrack." Said Fasttrack, making the others look at him in confusion.
"Fasttrack?" Ruby asked, confused at the name.
"Yep, I figured it'd be more fun to name my aliens, rather than just call them "fast alien" or "ice alien". So, call me Fasttrack, and check this out!" Fasttrack said, before speeding around the campsite, grabbing everything and packing it away in the Rust Bucket, before returning to in front of the others.
"That's awesome! But why didn't you tell me you were gonna name them?! You could have named this guy Felocity! Get it, cause he's fast and he looks like a cat?!" Yang said with a grin, only getting dry looks from everyone, except Taiyang, who laughed at her joke.
Fasttrack then looked down when the dial began beeping and flashing red, before he transformed back into Naruto.
"I think this is gonna be the best summer ever." Naruto stated with a smile, with Tamago, Ruby, and Yang nodding in agreement, knowing this summer and road trip just became even better.
"Don't get too excited kid, we're still going to try and get that watch off of you." Said Jiraiya, making the kids frown at the two adults.
"Ah, but come on! It's so cool, just look at everything he did as Fasttrack and those other two aliens! Imagine what all the other ones can do!" Ruby said, wanting to see the other aliens and what they can do as well.
"And think of everyone Naruto could help with that watch, more than a regular Huntsman with all the abilities the aliens could have." Added Tamago, believing the watch could let Naruto really help people, like they did last night in fighting the Grimm and drones.
"Not to mention whoever sent those robots to get it. What if more show up looking for it, and we don't have it?" Yang said, doubting that whoever wanted the watch was going to stop.
"That's even more of a reason to try and find a way to get it off. As for helping people, you four are just kids and haven't even finished Signal, let alone fully trained Hunters. Leave stuff like that to professionals." Said Taiyang, only for the two to see the kids weren't budging.
"And what about those robots? You saw what just one of the giant ones could do, what happens if more show up? All the Grimm they could attract? The people that could get hurt or worse? And like Yang said, what happens if they find us and we don't have the watch anymore? They'll never stop until they find it, at least if I have it, then I can fight them and help people." Naruto said while looking at the watch, he didn't know what it was or where it came from, but he did know that with it, he could help people who needed it.
Jiraiya and Taiyang were surprised by his words, even more so with Tamago, Ruby, and Yang nodding in agreement. The three of them wanting to help their friend/brother as well.
"I'm gonna regret this." Jiraiya muttered in resignation, before looking at the four.
"…Fine, if you all are so set on this, then the least you can do is see what those ten aliens can do first, and get used to being them." Said Jiraiya, while Taiyang gave a reluctant nod, not wanting his daughters to get involved, but knew that'd only encourage them to get even more involved.
"We still have a few hours to catch the ferry back to Vale, that should be plenty of time to test the aliens out and see what they can do. Along with allowing the watch to recharge after it times out." Taiyang added, making the kids smile in excitement.
"Though let's find a more private place to do this, since we wouldn't want anyone stumbling onto you suddenly transforming." Jiraiya stated, with the four nodding in agreement as they all entered the Rust Bucket.
"So…was training all that you did?" Tamago asked quietly while looking at her brother, knowing he must've done something besides just train, with Naruto smiling innocently while pulling out his Scroll.
"I may've made a small stop along the way." Replied Naruto, before showing them some pictures he took, making the three try to muffle their laughter when they saw what the pictures were of.
With them being Hibachi and Kiba hanging from a tree branch by their underwear on the side of a road, along with being covered in glue, syrup, and feathers, with red rubber gloves on their heads and beaks glued to their faces. As well looking like they were desperately trying to scratch themselves, along with their faces being bright red and steam coming from them.
"I also dumped itching powder all over them and put spicy peppers in the food they were eating, before grabbing them." Naruto revealed while snickering, with this making the girls start laughing.
"Oh man, that's great! I'm seriously loving what that watch can do!" Yang said, wishing she could have been there to see it for herself.
"You gotta bring me next time, so I can help!" Said Ruby eagerly, imagining all the pranks she and Fasttrack could pull together with their speed.
"Well you're definitely have plenty of new opportunities with those aliens." Tamago stated in amusement, knowing that her twin will have a lot of fun with his alien transformations.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto didn't try transforming into another alien but did look at the others he had access to, guessing what their powers were, while he, Yang, and Tamago all know Ruby did in fact take some parts from the drones when Jiraiya and Taiyang weren't looking. While both adults investigate the crash site, seeing the pod destroyed and evidence of something much larger arriving. Then back at the campsite, everyone hears of more drones attacking over the radio, with Grimm having been drawn in as well, leading to them going to help with Naruto transforming into Big Chill to take on the drones while Tamago, Ruby, and Yang help get people to safety, eventually winning the fight before leaving, with Vilgax not being happy to learn the drones failed again. Finally we see Naruto's done some training with the now named Fasttrack, along with being able to convince Jiraiya and Taiyang of the good he can do with the Omnitrix, but not before training to see what the rest of his aliens can do.
