The rest of the week is practically spent doing the same manual labour work which can be boring as it's so repetitive not to mention that the work is also extremely tiring with more tasks being added each day as she get's more used to the work. Most nights Liz just heads home shower eat something that barely passes as dinner and then pass out in hopes of gaining enough energy to make it through the next day. Basically, it's hell. Thankfully Rachel has taken to sitting next to her on our lunch breaks which are a nice change of pace from the unrelenting work. After the first few days, Rachel doesn't seem as nervous around Liz but is still quiet which leaves her to do most of the talking which is strange for Liz because most people say she doesn't speak much. But Rachel is becoming more confident in talking to her which makes Liz happy as the other girl starts to open up and talk with her. So far, they've mostly talked about her friends, Aiden, Seattle, shared plans for after high school and the various wildlife that inherits Hope County's forests. From the little facts, Rachel has spoken about Liz has learned that she is sixteen. She and her family like many people around here are very religious. Her favourite colour is green. But not dark green more of a pale paste like green. She loves white flowers and has her own plant pots in her bedroom filled with them. Has an interest in chemistry and love animals of all kinds. Even spiders which freak Liz the fuck out.

"So, what do you do for fun around here." Liz asks innocently thinking it's just another normal question but from the way she suddenly tenses up and looks away makes Liz think it's anything but innocent. The next few seconds are filled with silence as Rachel still won't look at her. "Are you ok." She asks not knowing what else to say. Did she say something wrong? Well obviously, she said something wrong but isn't entirely sure what she said that was upsetting.

"Yes." Rachel takes a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself down maybe. Which completely contradicts what she just said. Liz doesn't know what's going on but waits patiently for Rachel to feel more relaxed. In the end, it's up to her if she wants to continue this conversation or move on to another topic. "Sorry about me freezing." She pauses again probably looking for the right words. "I, I just don't know how to answer your question. In all honestly, I don't know what teenagers do around here for fun. I spend my time split between here school and church." Now that sets some alarm bells off in Liz's head. Rachel looks so nervous and scared after admitting this as if she's expecting her to lash out at her or leave. Somethings wrong here and Liz intends to find out what is going on. "The other kids don't seem to like me that much," Rachel admits bowing her head in defeat. "I don't understand why all I do is be nice to them. But they decide to be mean." She admits quieter as she stares down at the ground. She's an outcast in a small town that can't be good. "Are we." Rachel stops herself from talking to look at Liz with a mixture of fear and hope in her eyes. "Are we friends." She asks timidly. Her actions are almost deer-like as in the skittishness and the looks of bolting away if I answer no. Being this terrified about her saying no isn't right. If her thoughts on Rachel's father possibly abusing her are right then her being bullied and left in isolation to deal with everything never ends well, she's close to being tipped over the edge. Being that cut off and mistreated could destroy the person she really is and turn into something else. Rachel doesn't deserve anything like that to happen to her. She's not mean or snobbish or even weird she's sweet kind and caring. And if she's around then she won't allow anyone to hurt her.

Liz speaks with confidence and no hesitance as she answers her question. "Of course, we're friends Rachel." She tries to give Rachel her best smile in hopes of helping to settle her anxiety. Rachel releases the shaky breath she was holding letting a small smile graces her features.

"Good but are you sure you not saying that because I asked you." Her voice is more confident and surer of Liz's answer but still wants to make sure. Almost as if what Liz is telling her was too good to be true.

"Rachel I am your friend and I'm not just saying that because you asked. I promise." Liz reassures her but she still doesn't look completely convinced. Not really surprising if what she thinks is happening right then her trust issues are completely understandable. Liz herself has some of the same trust issues. "Would you believe me I swear that I will never lie to you." The idea just escaped out of her mouth before she could even process what she was actually saying. Although it does make sense that way, Rachel won't trust everything she says but by making a promise like this and staying true to it she will slowly start to trust that Liz won't ever lie to her which might be a bit difficult for her to fully due to their short time together. Hell, we've only known each other for five days since they meet. But it's a start. A start to helping Rachel feel safer around her.

"Would you swear you would never lie to me on God." The swearing to God part doesn't surprise her. Rachel is very religious but not the overbearing type. You know the type she thinking about. Everyone knows one. It must be nice to have faith even when everything in your life is going to hell. Maybe that's why she's still hopeful and kind. Having faith might just be her clutch to holding on t her identity. something to make all the pain and suffering seem worse while if you believe it's all part of God's plan. Liz herself honestly doesn't know how she feels about religion. The main thing from stopping her from having any faith is how can a God let so many people suffer and let the bad guys go on living their happy lives. You see it on tv all the time. Not a day goes by without something kind of horrific crime has been committed and broadcasted for everything to hear. it's come to the point when no one is really shocked anymore and can just tune it out as more and more crimes are reported. Maybe God has a plan but why do so many innocents have to suffer for it. But if it will get Rachel to trust her even a little bit then she is more then willing to swear to God.

"Ok I swear to God that I will never lie to you." Liz tells her holding her hand being as serious as she can be so Rachel doesn't think I'm messing with her or her faith.

"Thank you." She says while blushing a little bit. "I can tell that you're not religious but it means a lot to me that you did that. Most people would have laughed at me or mocked my faith. So, "she pauses and looking at Liz carefully looking for something in her eyes. Whatever she was searching for apparently, she found it as Rachel suddenly leant in and kissed her cheek. "Thank you." And now it was her turn to start blushing. Somehow, she doesn't know how exactly but she manages to contain the excitement at Rachel kissing her. Wow, she really do have it bad for her. Just act cool Rook.

"Your welcome" Liz manage to mumble out before realising how cringy that sounded. On the bright side, it did seem to bring out a small laugh from Rachel. Having a burst of confidence, She asks. "Are you free tomorrow."

"I am. Why," the light brown haired girl asks curiously.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to do something with me since I'm new to this state." In reality, she was just looking for some way to spend more time with her other than the hour lunch they get every day. Besides it's the weekend it will be fun. Hopefully.

"What would we do." Now that right there is a very good question. Ok, think about what does she likes. Being outside in nature. Ok. Uhhh being around other people will probably make her nervous no it has to be somewhere private and quiet. Yes, we are getting somewhere now. And she lacks money so something cheap. Liz thinks she has a pretty decent idea.

"We could go on a walk and picnic." Liz suggests rubbing the back of her neck trying to stop a full blown blush from overtaking her face.

"That sounds perfect." And Bingo was his name o
