Hey, guys. Sorry for the delay for I took a break to clear Writer's Block for about two months. Been enjoying the Yakuza series especially the newest one being Yakuza: Like A Dragon plus Playing Kiwami and Kiwami 2 in the series which are fun as hell. I have yet to play Yakuza Zero on Xbox. Anyway, it's a new year and hopefully things can get better as the year goes on. Before I go on anymore tangents, DCSG belongs to DC and WB not me. Let's get it.
=======Chapter 2: New Hero In Town- Part 2======
On his second day at Metropolis High, Hunter thought about yesterday's events as he walked in the halls as students mingled for a while. The teen had a mixture of worry and excitement thinking about the aftermath of the battle against Giganta and the other villains.
"Shit! That was definitely a close one for sure! Those girls are smarter than I can give credit for.", Hunter thought to himself as he walked some more. He was deep in thought until he spotted a short pale skinned kid with black hair yelled for help as Hunter frowned wondering what's going On.
"What the hell is going on over there? Oh hell no.", Hunter said glaring at the culprit messing with the boy.
"Give me your lunch money, Garth! And this time, your coins better be useful this time!", Doris barked as Garth nervously backed away from the giant jock.
"B-But that's all I have and besides, haven't you taken another person's lunch money?", Garth said trying to reason with Doris but to no avail. The ginger had a smirk on her face and cracked her knuckles indicating that Garth was In deep dog food.
"Liar! You know how cranky I get when I'm hangry! Now fork over the cash before I make you!", Doris threatened as she dangerously went closer to the boy. Garth shook his had only for Doris to glare grabbing him by the collar ready to beat the cash Out Of him as students nearby gulped in fear hoping they're not next.
"Hey, you!", Hunter bellowed as Doris distracted by the shout drops Garth on his butt. Garth then runs near some vending machines while Doris growled glaring at Hunter.
"What do you want, noob?! Can't you see I'm in a middle of taking money from this loser? Hey! Where'd he go?! This is your fault!", Doris said grabbing Hunter after stomping near him. Hunter deadpanned at the jock as he wasn't impressed.
"And you think stealing Garth's lunch money is your best idea?"
"Hell yeah, buster! And I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for you farting my plan apart! Now you're going to get the treatment in his place, Mr. Hero!", Doris laughed evilly as Hunter groaned.
"Damn, that chick is either dumb or just plain stubborn. I gotta get out of this jam before I kiss my teeth goodbye. Oh yeah. I have an idea.", Hunter said as Doris frowned.
"What are you talking about and what happened to your face?", Doris said spotting the scratches on Hunter's face due to Cheetah from yesterday.
"Um. My sister's cat did It. You know how cats are. Unpredictable. Anyway, I got some money to give you.", Hunter said as Doris raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Are you trying to run away? If so,, I sense a hospital bed with your name on it, nerd!", Doris said showing Hunter her fist. The boy pulled out strange coins unaware to Doris out of his pocket. The students close by spotted the coin's image being Pac-Man standing on top of a Namco logo.
"Is he nuts?", one girl said as the other girl nodded.
"Yeah but he's got some wits about him. I hope.", she said as Doris smirked juggling the Namco coins as she smirked to herself. Hunter went to Garth as he felt relieved that Doris left.
"Garth, you okay?", he said as the Atlantean nodded sheepishly.
"Yeah. Doris almost had my money for a second there. Thanks, man!", Garth said as Hunter nodded.
"Good to hear. But please be careful, okay? You almost had to go hungry all day today if I hadn't shown up.", Hunter said concerned as Garth nodded.
"Y-yeah but you don't have any money yourself.", Garth noted as Hunter smirked showing him the actual lunch money. Garth gasped as Hunter had a goofy grin.
"You gave Doris fake money? Wow! Say, what happened to your face?", Garth wondered as Hunter sweatdropped.
"Damn! Now Garth is wondering about the scratch on my face! Thanks a lot, Cheetah! Now students are gonna wonder about that mark! Hey, wait a sec! Chicks dig scars. Maybe I'll play it cool. It'll heal in a couple days.", Hunter thought to himself. Unaware to Hunter, Karen and Diana frowned looking at the mark on his face from a distance near some lockers.
"That scratch! I'm sure Hunter's that Captain Hurricane! That's the actual scratch Cheetah gave him yesterday!", Karen said to Diana only for the Amazon to nod.
"Maybe but we'll have to investigate this further, Karen. A scratch alone wouldn't prove he's the famed Captain Hurricane. Perhaps, we'll talk to him at the mess hall.", Diana said only for Karen to correct her.
"You mean the cafeteria? But wouldn't it be good if we all meet at Sweet Justice? After all, we owe him one since we haven't yesterday.", Karen said considering that it may be private as Diana nodded.
"Okay. That's settled. Gather all our sisters and Hunter of course after school and we'll go to Sweet Justice and get to the bottom of this. May Hera help us!"
"Help us with what?"
"EEEEEEE!", the two girls squealed as Hunter startled them as he laughed himself silly seeing Karen's buns raised puffed out while Diana's luscious raven locks went everywhere as she then got into fighting stance.
"Who goes there?! Speak now or face the might—"
"Relax, Di. It's me, Hunter. The Look on both your faces is priceless.", he said laughing as he then stopped seeing Karen and Diana frown at him indicating it wasn't funny. The teen then stopped as the subject began.
"Oh nothing. Just talking girl stuff. Something guys like you shouldn't be snooping in on.", Diana said as Hunter nodded.
"Oh yeah. Anyway, I was saving Garth from Doris before she clobbers him for his lunch money.", Hunter said as Karen nodded.
"I heard about it just then. You should've been careful. Doris could've sent you to the nurse's office.", Karen said in worry. The girls then sighed feeling guilty as Hunter felt concerned.
"Hunter, we're sorry we'd cancelled our outing at Sweet Justice at the last minute yesterday. Something came up related to school. I hope you're not mad or anything.", Diana said as Hunter wasn't mad at all as he shook his head.
"Don't worry. I understand. You gotta do what you gotta do when It comes to academics.", Hunter said as the bell rang for homeroom to start.
"Shit! Speak of the devil!"
"Hunter, language! But let's get to homeroom before we get tardy!", Diana said as Karen nodded.
"Hopefully, Kara takes this seriously otherwise she's taking a trip to detention.", Karen mumbled as the trio went to class.
=====Sometime at lunch======
Sometime at lunch, the seven teens were enjoying their lunch as Zatanna frowned at Kara for something she nearly got herself in trouble for. Hunter listened in on the convo as did the other girls as they eat their food.
"Kara, you should take your classes seriously!"
"Geez, Zee! Who are you? My mother? Besides, Algebra is hell!", Kara said as Zee frowned. Hunter nodded at Kara's statement feeling empathy.
"Yeah. Algebra is the bane of my existence. It's dog dukey!", he said only to get elbowed by Diana.
"Ewwwww! Not while we're eating!", the girls except for Kara said in disgust. Kara smirked to the teen as she stuck her tongue at Zee.
"At least Hunter's understands what I mean."
"Oh come on, you two. Algebra isn't that bad. I love mathematics!", Babs said eating her bucket Of burritos taken Out of her backpack much to Jessica's disgust.
"Babs, you left those in your backpack for a few hours? Can't you eat anything healthy for once in your life? I swear I need to hide those burritos or better yet, throw It in the garbage."
"You wouldn't dare!"
"If It means getting you to a Healthy way of eating then yes.", Jess said to a worried Babs clutching her beloved burritos like they were her treasures. Karen meekly agreed with Jessica as did Diana about the burritos.
"Jess's right, Babs. You've been eating burritos too much from Burrito Bucket. Shouldn't you eat healthy?", Diana said only for Babs to make a hiss. Zee then changed the subject relating to Sweet justice as she looked at Hunter's scratch marks.
"Girls, shouldn't we meet after school to go to Sweet Justice? I'm sure Hunter would like to get some ice cream.", the magician suggested.
"Yeah. Sorry about yesterday, bud.", Kara said to Hunter and nodded.
"Oh it's all good. All that matters is that we get to go there today. I'm going to scarf down some dessert before dinner. Bring them on!", Hunter said fist pumping in the air. The girls giggled at his enthusiasm with Zee smiling.
"Your enthusiasm is near Di's when it comes to sweets."
"Yeah. I remember how she scarfed up nearly all of our ice cream.", Zee and Babs said respectively as Diana blushed at the memory. Hunter grinned as he remembered something similar happening to him at his old hometown.
"No worries, Di. I got sick from eating too much pizza at Kenny Roo's. Had to be in the bathroom at home for hours.", he said as Jessica shook her head.
"I don't want to know the bathroom part.", the Lantern said. Karen beamed however at the mention of the pizza joint.
"Did you say you went to Kenny Roo's? I use to go there when I was little. I was frightened at the puppets though.", Karen shuddered at the memory as Babs giggled.
"They didn't faze me at all. I Loved the ball pit. Even the musical numbers were so cool. I can remember the characters. Kenny Roo, Willie Wallaby, Waldo Wombat, Sid the Koala. So cute.", Babs said in awe remembering her parents taking her there. Kara nodded with a sad smile.
"Too bad it's not there anymore.", the Kryptonian said somberly as did the girls except for Diana for she didn't obviously go there due to being on Themyscira throughout her Life.
"Yeah. LexCorp put them out of business in Metropolis and North Star's a bit away from here. Kenny Roo's is at my hometown. I heard LexCorp is making a game center in it's place. Damn it! They had good pizza too.", Hunter groaned in comic fashion.
"HUNTER!", the bellowing voice belonging to Doris startled the group as Karen eyed a sheepish Hunter as did the other girls.
"What did you do to make her mad?", Karen asked as Hunter smiled mischievously. Doris stomped at the table glaring at the teen as her other friends Pam and Leslie caught up to the angry giant.
"Hey, Doris. What's the matter?", Hunter said as the giant smacks the coins on the table pointing at them.
"You're useless coins is what's the matter! The lunch lady didn't accept them saying they were fake!", Doris said as Leslie laughed herself silly.
"Haa! You got gyped, Doris! Classic!", Leslie said howling with laughter only for Doris to yell In frustration.
"Shut it, Leslie!"
"Hunter, what and why are these coins with you?", Diana said as Zee nodded.
"Yeah. Doris is very ticked off at you for that.", the magician said as Babs eyed the Namco tokens.
"Are those the Namco tokens? I remember these for sure! They're fake all right.", Babs said as Doris glared at Hunter.
"Yeah and this noob is deadmeat!", Doris said as Hunter huffed.
"Oh sure. You're the one who tried to steal Garth's lunch money. In a way, that's karma.", Hunter said as Pam sighed at Doris.
"Doris, he's got a point. You shouldn't be stealing other student's lunch money. And if you had Listened to me this morning, you would've known that I'd given you some lunch money.", the plant girl said as Doris's eyes bug out. The ginger sheepishly rubbed the back of her head as Kara smirked.
"Who knew that Doris is as near brainless sometimes? Hahahaha!", Kara teased only for Doris to ball her fists only for Diana to stop it.
"Let's not ensue any violence. Kara, it's very foolish to pick a fight when it's not necessary."
"Yeah. I want to live! Not die besides I saved these tokens from Kenny Roo's in my Old hometown.", Hunter said as Doris laughed herself silly.
"You go to Kenny Roo's? Aren't you too old to be in there, you big baby? Haa!", Doris teased as Leslie tapped her on the arm.
"You're the one to talk, Doris. You went to it before it closed down for good. Don't you remember? Even you kept that stuffed orangutan you named Tuffy?", Leslie teased as Doris blushed as Hunter smiled ear to ear only for the giant to glare at both him and the DJ.
"Leslie, what the hell? And you, dweeb! What are you smiling about?! Can't help it if that asshole at LexCorp closed down Kenny Roo's", Doris said as Hunter sympathetically agreed.
"I understand. At least we got something to remember being your toy orangutan and my Namco tokens.", Hunter said as Doris blushed at the teen. Suddenly, the bell rang for the next class to begin.
"Dammit! I got World History! Of all the classes it had to be that!", Leslie said as Pam sighed.
"Les, quit your whining and Let's go. And see you seven later.", the plant girl said as Doris blushed but changed to a glare warning Hunter.
"You better be so lucky! And if you ever mention anything about me and Kenny Roo's to anyone else, your dogmeat! Got it?!", Doris warned showing her fist as the other girls at the table grew worried.
"Not a snowball's chanced in hell it's gonna happen. Anyway, gotta get goin' before I get my first detention here. C'mon, ladies. Let's get the hell outta here.", Hunter said only for Diana to frown at his language. The two groups went their separate ways to their classes as the bell rang a second time.
======Afterschool=======
The six girls were out in front of the school waiting for Hunter as he had to run an errand for a moment. This gave them time to talk about an important matter.
"That's just fantastic! We haven't found any other proof that Hunter is that Captain Hurricane yet! The hell?", Kara said exasperated as Babs ate her spare burritos.
"Yeah! No scratch mark's gonna cut it. How are we going to reveal who Captain Hurricane really is?", Babs wondered as Karen thought for a moment.
"Wait a sec!", Karen said as Jess and the girls wondered what was up.
"What is it, Karen?", the Lantern asked as the bee girl narrowed her eyes with determination.
"Today, Hunter wasn't wearing that strange looking blue ring like he did yesterday. And it also hit me that the mysterious hero had the same ring as Hunter.", Karen said as Kara huffed.
"Oh come on, Karen. That ring is just some weird trinket from a store or something. We're just spinning our wheels here!", the Kryptonian said impatiently as Diana calmed her down.
"Patience, Kara. You must stay calm if we're going to solve the mystery of this fellow hero. I'm sure the answer is nearer than we think.", the Amazon said as Zee nodded.
"Yeah. Come to think of it, Hunter didn't ride on the school bus let alone ride with us in Jess's van. How does he get here and back home?", Zee wondered. The girls were confused for they were correct and the fact a car wasn't there to drop him off makes the case more in their favor. Babs's eyes bugged out as an answer came before her.
"Captain Hurricane can't fly like the rest of us here. He used an airboard of sorts to fly around during battle. What if Hunter used it to get to school?", the ginger wiz said as some of the girls murmured about that possibility. However, they heard a whoosh sound as Kara used her super sight and hearing to spot the mysterious blue hero Captain Hurricane looking a bit battered from a fight crashing to the ground.
"EEEK! It's Captain Hurricane! He must've crashed in front of us!", Karen yelped.
"Let's check and see if he's okay. Hunter can wait.", Diana said as the girls spot him unconscious with his helmet on. The airboard look dinged and out of energy as the lights blinked.
"He's knocked Out cold. We gotta do something about this.", Jess said concerned.
"Maybe we can take him to a hospital.", Kara suggested.
"Though it is the right thing to do, we can't risk his identity getting out there to other strangers. The only place to go is our Sweet Justice base.", Zee said only for Karen to be alarmed.
"What? Are you sure we need to take him to our lair? We hardly knew him and who knows what would happen if he freaks out not knowing where he is?", the bee girl said but Diana nodded.
"True but it's the only way to protect his true identity. Besides, Zee has some healing magic to help him recuperate.", Diana said only for Kara to huff.
"Okay, wise leader. Except for One thing. How the hell are we going to lug him around the city without citizens looking at us carrying an unconscious guy in a blue suit?", Kara nonchalantly asked as Zee came up with an answer.
"Duh. I can teleport us there. Then we can think the rest through.", the magician suggested with Diana nodding.
"That's settled. Zee, you teleport us to Sweet Justice. We got a hero to save!", Diana said as Zee chanted a spell teleporting everybody and the airboard to Sweet Justice lair.
======Sweet Justice Lair=======
Everyone was at the base of Sweet Justice with the blue clad hero laying on a beanbag with the place having a computer so high-tech that can track and map out criminal activity, a television with some movies and other things decked out for girls. Zatanna used her magic to heal some Of Captain Hurricane's wounds while Babs spot the same ring on his finger with a silent curious look. Diana asked Zee of the state of the blue hero.
"What seems to be the status of our blue ally, Zee? Is he going to be all right?", the Amazon said in worry as Zee nodded.
"Yes. He had some nasty bruises from the fall but I better take off his helmet and mask to be sure nothing worse appears. Karen, take off his helmet and mask and then put it next to him.", Zee said to the bee girl as she nodded.
"Okay, Zee. Maybe we'll find Out this way who this guy is for sure.", Karen said with determination as she took off the mentioned paraphernalia and was shocked as did the other girls.
"That scratch!", Karen said in shock as Kara expressed her opinion.
"Not only that, Captain Hurricane is none other than Hunter! Can't believe it!", the Kryptonian said as Zee nodded.
"Yeah. He was the one who helped us fend off Poison Ivy and her goons yesterday. Hopefully, he'll explain himself once he wakes up. For now, I'll heal his injuries with the magic I have. Thankfully, my magic dealing with basic injuries doesn't put a strain on me.", Zee said as Babs nodded.
"I can't wait to get some answers outta him! He's got some explainin' to do.", the ginger said tinkering with her Batarangs. After Zee healed up his injuries, the group waited for the teen to wake from his unconsciousness. After a while, Hunter wakes up with blurry vision and groaned rubbing his head.
"Damn! My head is throbbing from that wipeout. Hammerhead and Kid Cabra doesn't know when to give up.", Hunter said as his vision was back to normal. Seeing that he's inside the base made him gasp.
"Wait a sec! I'm in some lair of sorts! What the hell's going on?! Shit! My helmet and mask! Who took it off me?! Somebody knows who I am by now!", Hunter thought to himself but was brought back to reality by a feminine voice.
"Hello, Hunter. Or should I say Captain Hurricane?!", said Babs said in a Batman-like impersonation as Hunter gasped and frowned.
"Who said that?! Who the hell said that?! Come on out and show yourself, asshole!", Hunter yelled only for Diana to cross her arms leading the other girls out of their hiding spots.
"Language, Hunter! But I'm glad to see you're okay.", Diana said as Hunter nodded sheepishly.
"Oh yeah. Sorry there. But can you tell me where am I? I'm obviously not outside for the buzzards to eat me. ", Hunter said as Diana continued.
"Not yet. You have some explain to do first.", Diana said as the others nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. We found out you're the famous Captain Hurricane from North Star City, Hunter. Care to explain why you were acting strange around us?", Babs said.
"Wait a minute! How did all of you figure out my identity?! No one else in Metropolis ever knew who I was!", Hunter said shocked as Kara crossed her arms.
"For starters, that scratch on your face we saw yesterday made by cheetah was the first clue.", Kara said.
"And that blue ring on your finger also. Furthermore, you were acting weird when we asked about it. I'm sure you're not a Blue Lantern.", Jessica said noting her observation.
"Of course, I'm not. The Lanterns I've spotted being Green and Reds as far as I Know can fly with your rings. This ring is magical!", Hunter said as Zee nodded.
"Come to think of it, I sensed some magic property coming from you. I deduced it was that ring on your finger.", Zee said.
"Yeah. You're correct. As you can see, my ring summons anything video game related which is an extension of my powers.", Hunter said as Karen gasped.
"So that explains the bombs with eyes from Super Mario?", Karen said
"Yes. I conjure up any key item from existing video game franchises and also my internal powers allow me to use not only my wind attacks but utilize videogame physics and properties without the ring.", Hunter explained as Zee spoke up.
"So you can spin into a ball like Sonic Or use Mario's jumping abilities?", she asked as Hunter nodded. Diana then stepped in to ask Hunter.
"How are you feeling after the crash?"
"I'm feeling okay. Thanks for the save.", Hunter said as the Amazon pointed to Zee.
"Yes and Zee was the one who patched you up. You had a nasty fall but thank Hera you wore that helmet. Who knows what would've happened?", Diana said as Hunter nodded.
"Now that I've explained myself, shouldn't you girls explain your superhero identities?", Hunter said making the girls gasp.
"You know our identities?! He knows too much! I say let's whack him!", Babs said in comic fashion only for Jess to silently chastise her.
"What makes you sure of that considering you were fighting crime yesterday in our city, bub?", Kara said crossing her arms.
"For starters, you girls were determined to find out who I am. In fact, after we defeated Poison Ivy and her goons including my rogues—"
"Your rogues? What rogues? None of those villain girls are your rogues, pal!", Kara interrupted only for Diana to stop her.
"Kara, let him finish! Continyue, Hunter.", Diana motioned Hunter to resume.
"You're right, Kara. But if you were paying attention, Kid Cabra and Hammerhead are my villains gallery from North Star City.", Hunter corrected as Kara sheepishly grinned.
"You mean that goat guy and shark fellow?", Karen asked.
"Yep. I dealt with them before. Nothing but trouble but they are easy dimwits compared to my other villains but that story is for another time. Anyway, I noticed you girls wanting to know who I am after the fight. I couldn't risk getting found out even if you six don't pose any threat to me. So now, it's fair you girls show me your superhero identities. Sounds fair, right?", Hunter said slyly as Kara whines.
"Do we have to? He's not serious, right?", the Kryptonian said exasperated as Zee nodded.
"He's right, Kara. We found out who Captain Hurricane really is. So it's fair we do the same for him.", Zee said as Diana nodded.
"That's settled then! Fellow warriors—"
SIREN!
"The crime alert!", Babs shouted as the alarm went off. The group looked on the screen to see five teenagers wearing card themed costumes. The man wearing a Robin-like mask with blonde hair and goatee sporting the costume with a K on his card, a blonde short haired girl wearing the card themed costume with a Q, A bald burly black boy with the 10, a smug brown haired boy with a J and a girl with short black hair with a hair clip in front right of her head with an A on her costume using psychokinesis on some of the people.
"The Royal Flush Gang!", the girls chorused as Hunter raised an eyebrow.
"The Royal Flush Gang?! Who the hell are they?", he asked.
"A group of troublemakers who gave us a hard time. It's your lucky day to see them in action, bud.", Kara smirked.
"Wouldn't miss It.", Hunter said.
"Okay, warriors! Time to suit up and put a stop to this Royal Flush Gang!", Diana commanded. Soon, each of the girls posed anime style similar to the Sailor Moon series.
======BGM: Gym (Kanto)- Pokemon anime========
"Transform!", the girls chorused as one by one did each of the ladies turn into their superhero personas Sailor Moon-esque. Diana changed into her famous red and blue costume and tiara with gauntlets posing in Amazonian fashion holding her sword as her hair waved gracefully. Karen morphed into Bumblebee with her black and yellow suit with wings and goggles flying in the air ready to fight. Zee into Zatanna with her magician's outfit using her wand to conjure up hearts. Kara into Supergirl wearing her red, white and blue costume with the "S" shield posing in flight in a badass pose. Babs jumps and spins in the air until she lands into her costume as Batgirl and Jessica being last morphed into Green Lantern with her eyes glowing green and hair into streaks hovering. The six girls did action poses as the song ended. Hunter impressed clapped as he nodded.
"Impressive, girls. Now witness my intro.", Hunter said as he did just that.

Hunter poses before morphing into his Captain Hurricane persona as the montage clip shows him fighting Kid Cabra, Hammerhead, some goons, mechs and other baddies in North Star City. Afterwards, he stands alongside the Superhero Girls as they get ready to fight the Royal Flush Gang.
"Not a bad intro and theme song, bud. Now let's kick some ass!", Kara said as the seven heroes warped Out of Sweet Justice Lair with Hunter's theme ending with a cliffhanger.

This incarnation of them are from the DCAU series, Justice League and JLU. Not the Batman Beyond version.
