A purple and black dragon were on the ground unconscious both tired from the battle they had fought. The dragons were on a floating island with green grass and a tree right next to them keeping them in the shade. The entire world had changed drastically; it had now changed into a world of floating islands and what seems to be an endless abyss. The world has been put back together and it has been saved but it has changed. The purple dragon woke up looking around at the landscape they were in. His vision was blurry so the dragon rubbed his eyes trying to clear it. The purple dragon was named Spyro, a legendary purple dragon that has saved the world along with his best friend Cynder the black dragoness. Spyro had orange spikes and an orange underbelly with purple scale. Cynder was a black dragoness with a dagger like tail blade and white markings on her hips and forehead. She had a magenta underbelly and silver spikes. Spyro looked around looking for cynder. "C-Cynder?" Spyro turned around and saw Cynder on the ground unconscious. Spyro shook the black dragoness trying to wake her up. "Cynder Cynder!"
The black dragoness made a groan which calmed Spyro down a bit. Cynder lifter her head up.
"Spyro?" Before Cynder could say anything else Spyro embraced her in a hug. A small tear fell when Spyro hugged her.
"I thought it was over… I thought we were done…" Cynder was a little surprised by his sudden embrace but… she didn't really mind she just smiled and hugged him back
"Hey it's ok Spyro we are fine." Spyro let her go and looked around at the world seeing how the world had floating islands.
"This is… new…" Spyro said. Cynder also looked around and said, "I wonder if this was caused by us." Spyro started to look worried which Cynder noticed.
"Spyro, don't worry there fine." Spyro turned to her. "Bu-"
"Spyro stop! If you were able to save an entire planet you no doubt saved a group of dragons… and a small annoying dragonfly." Spyro chuckled at her response. "So what exactly happened Spyro? How did you do… this?" Spyro tried to remember what happened back in the volcano, he remembered fighting Malefor, he remembered glowing, and he also remembered Cynder saying… "I love you."... Spyro turned to Cynder.
"Cynder?" Cynder turned to Spyro.
"Yes, that's my name, what is it?" Spyro looked really nervous.
"D-did you say that you love me?" Cynder didn't say anything but Spryo noticed that her face was bright red which made Spyro laugh a bit.
"W-well I thought we were all gonna die and I just kinda blurted it out. I mean I didn't mean it of course!" Cynder said, trying to cover it up. Spyro smiled a bit but also had a blush on his face, Spyro coiled his tail around her tail which caught Cynder off guard. "Ok fine you got me." They both laughed. Cynder was happy that she was with Spyro after everything they have been through there's no one else she would rather be with right now. After everything he did for her she started to have feelings for him. "What if he doesn't feel the same though… What if hes just acting like he likes me and will just leave me when we get back… Cynder stop… Your being dramatic just take it slow with him…" Cynder looked into Spyros eyes. "Spyro… I think we should take it slow for now… it's all just happening a little too fast I mean we… basically just saved the world." Cynder told him. "I hate it when I lie to him." Spyro understood what Cynder meant after everything from fighting Malefor to almost dying and being frozen in a crystal for years. This is probably not the right time to start a relationship.
"Ok Cynder I understand… Hey so how do you think we are going to get back to Warfang?" Spryo said, trying to change the subject. He noticed Cynder seemed down so changing the subject might make her feel better. Cynder started to look around thinking.
"Well... the sun is setting in the meaning that…" Cynder pointed in the other direction. "That way east… and if i'm correct… Warfang was east to the mountain of Malefor." Spyro was surprised Cynder knew all this.
"Cynder when did you learn all this?" Spyro asked. Cynder gave him a look like he has just did something stupid.
"They didn't just teach me how to fight when I was corrupted. I had to travel a lot so they taught me to know which way east and west is and where north and south is." Cynder explained.
"Wow… man you're amazing." Spyro said. This made Cynder giggle and blushed a bit at the compliment but she ignored it. Spyro noticed it was getting dark and they should probably camp it out for the night. "Cynder we should probably set up camp, tomorrow we should start heading to Warfang. Cynder nodded in agreement and started walking to the tree where she flew up to it and used her tail blade to cut the branches off. Spyro watched how fast she was. It was pretty satisfying.
"Hey you gonna help purple boy?" This made Spyro laugh as he walked to the fallen branches that Cynder had cut and started to take the leaves off of them and start to make a bed. Cynder flew down and picked up the branches and started to set them into a pile. "Hey do you think you could help me with this fire?" Spyro nodded and opened his mouth to breathe fire but… nothing came out… "Ok Spyro please stop joking around. Do you want to be freezing all night?" Spyro seemed serious.
"Hey! I'm not joking around, I can't breathe fire." Spyro replied.
"What?!" Cynder yelled then sighed. "Great… it's just like convexity…" Spyro kept trying. "Spyro, stop you can't use your elements, it's ok…. Wait…" Cynder opened her mouth and out shot her fear element. "Ok good I didn't lose mine… I guess whatever happened in that volcano took your powers away." Cynder sighed and lied down on the leaves. "I guess we will be freezing tonight... " Spyro looked down feeling useless.
"Im sorry Cynder…" Spyro said.
"Spyro no you always apologize for things thats not your fault. You saved the world for ancestors' sake!" Spyro looked up smiling.
"She always makes me smile." Spyro thought. Spryo laid next to her to which Cynder sighed.
"Spyro." Spyro then realised what he did.
"S-sorry Cynder." Spryo said, stuttering. He should have known Cynder wouldn't like this; he needs to be more careful. Spyro began to move to which Cynder grabbed his arm stopping him which caused Spyro to jump a bit in surprise.
"Actually I'm ok with this." Cynder said smiling she loved making him anxious.. Spyro blushed a bit but moved back and laid his head down. "But… don't get any ideas ok?!" This caused Spyro to chuckle. He would never do anything he didn't want her to do.
"Of course Cynder."
"Goodngiht Spyro."
"Goodnight Cynder." The two laid their heads down and fell asleep right next to each other to keep them both warm. The two fell asleep smiling, they were both happy.
As the dragons were sleeping a dragon flew down, he wore a black and white cloak. The dragon was silent; he just walked up to the two dragons that were asleep. "Interesting… they are alive… just as we planned…" The Dragon said quietly. The dragon put his paw on Spyros head. A purple mist came from his hand into the dragon. "With the power of the fallen god you will be balanced." The dragon chanted silently then turned around and flew away into the night sky.
In Warfang the 3 guardians Cyril, Terrador, and Volteer were all in a meeting. Volteer yawned. "Shouldn't we get some sleep?" Cyril glared at Volteer.
"Of course not the world was just put back together and Spyro, Cynder, and Ignitus are missing! Millions of dragons in our city are worried we have a lot of work to do!" Cyril yelled. Terrador was tired of their bickering.
"Stop your bickering you two! We need to work together here and calm everyone down!" Both Volteer and Cyril nodded.
"But how do we know if they even survived?" Cyril asked.
"We can't give up hope, we need to keep looking." Said Terrador. Cyril seemed to growl under his breath.
"We are wasting time and resources looking for them. It's a waste of time." Volteer glared at Cyril.
"Cyril the probability of them surviving may be low but they are powerful dragons they no doubt survived." Volteer snarled. Terrador sighed.
"This meeting is going nowhere. I think Volteer is right, we do need some rest." Volteer nodded while Cyril growled under his breath and started to walk out. Volteer started to walk out but then turned to Terrador.
"I'm sure we will find them." Volteer told him. Terrador said nothing and all he did was nod.
