The guardians all stood in shock as they stared at the dragon that walked through their door.
"Hello friends it's been a long time hasn't it?" Sameon said smiling. The guardians still stood there surprised not even Volteer was able to say anything. Terrador walked over to Sameon.
"S-Sameon i-it's been years… I haven't seen you since the… war…" Terrador said, staring at the dark gray dragon. Sameon smiled and nodded.
"Yes… when Malefors forces attacked I was able to escape and hide… I feared the worst of you all…"
"W-we did as we thought you were…" Cyril finally spoke but was not able to finish his sentence.
"Dead? Yes I can't blame you…" Sameon said, looking at Cyril and then Volteer. "I am glad you are all alive… but where is Ignitus?" Sameon asked. The guardians looked at each other.
"I am afraid we do not know… after Spyro and Cynder went into the wall of fire none of them have come out…" Terrardor said worried. Sameon looked worried and looked like he was about to cry kinda.
"Ignitus… my dear friend… I hope he's ok… as well as Spyro and Cynder…" Sameon said quietly.
"Hey! Is no one gonna ask what these guys have been doing all these years?!" The guardians heard the voice of a small glowing dragonfly behind Sameon. Sameon looked at the dragonfly rather than at the guardians.
"I was hiding… I wanted to help you all but… as you know I am no fighter… I could not get far without getting attacked… I was forced to hide all these years…" Sparx flew in front of Sameon. "So you just stayed cooped up in a hut doing nothing?!" Sparx yelled causing Sameon to look down. Terrador growled at the dragonfly.
"That's enough Sparxs! Sameon is an old dragon who has helped us in the past many times!" Terrador glared at the dragonfly.
"Whatever I'm out…" Sparx said before flying outside. Sameon sighed when Sparx left.
"He is right though… I did nothing to stop this war… I should have done something…" Sameon said sadly. Terrador walked up to Sameon and put a paw on his shoulder and looked at him. "You have done all that you need to… staying alive…" Terrador said, trying to cheer the old dragon up. Sameon smiled at Terrador.
"Thank you Terrador," Sameon smiled. "Now can I help with Warfang?"
Spyro and Cynder continued to fly hoping to get back to Warfang. The two dragons looked down still seeing all the changes the world had from what it was back in the war. The purple dragon turned his head to Cynder.
"I still can't believe that I did this…" Spyro said, looking around. Cynder nodded.
"Well you are the legendary purple dragon so I'm not exactly surprised." Cynder flew closer. "I mean who knows what you are capable of." Cynder said. Spryo looked away.
"I'm actually kinda afraid of that…" Spryo said sound scared.
"What do you mean? Shouldn't you be excited?" Cynder asked.
"I know I should be but… what if I get stronger and stronger and… I end up like Malefor…" Spryo responded. Cynder shivered hearing Malefors name Cynder hoped she wouldn't have to hear that name again.
"Well I can tell you one thing… Malefor was always a jerk and last I checked Spyro you're nothing like that so don't even compare yourself to him." Cynder said. Spyro sighed knowing Cynder was right but he couldn't help but worry. Spyro and Cynder flew in silence till Cynder heard a certain purple dragon's stomach growl. "Alright lets land to get some food."
"I'm fine, Cynder I swear." Spyro told Cynder.
"Yeah yeah I'm not falling for that purple boy." Cynder said to him as she pulled him by his horns to a huge island with another forest. Spyro tried to resist but wasn't able to escape Cynders grasp.
"Ouch!" Spyro yelped as Cynder giggled. Spyro was on the ground and Cynder was next to him still standing.
"Alright, let's find some food for you purple boy." Cynder said, teasing Spyro. Spyro got up quickly.
"But we need to get to Warfang fast though! Who knows if they need our help!" Spryo said concerned. Cynder sighed.
"Spyro… you need to relax, the guardians are probably fine you just saved the world… take a small breather before going to Warfang…" Cynder said to Spyro, putting a paw to his chest. Spyro blushed and looked down.
"I guess…" Spyro said, looking at Cynder but then he ran into the forest. "Bet i'll find a lamb first!" Spyro yelled, challenging Cynder. Cynder grinned and chased after him.
"We will see about that!" Cynder said, smiling.
