Title: The Iron-House: The Owl Lady, The Crimson Knight and Luz Noceda Aspiring Witch and Hero.
Chapter 1: The Mad Arcanist and Lying Witch. Second part.
Alternative title: A little local history for Luz.
POV Narrator
"Why are three of my favorite Avengers among the wanted?" Luz shouted, not believing that her heroes are considered some of the greatest criminals of this magical realm.
"Luz want a megaphone, I'm sure only half the city heard you." Moriarty said, sarcastically, not too happy that Luz is attracting unwanted glances.
"Sorry, but it's a big shock to me to see three of my heroes being considered among the most wanted villains." Luz said, hoping there was a big misunderstanding or the local government is headed by one of those dumb people who blame the Avengers for all the problems in the world.
"It's no surprise that heroes are considered criminals. In fact, I'd be surprised one of the good guys didn't earn a bounty on their head." Moriarty said, taking Luz's hand and pulling her away from the crowd.
Once far enough away, Moriarty struck the ground with his staff, creating a small transparent energy dome that encloses himself and Luz.
"Before you ask, this dome is a combination of Bounded Field, illusory magic and sound. Practically inside the dome you are invisible and unlistenable. With this magic we can talk without being spied on or disturbed." Moriarty explained, preventing Luz from freaking out with the discovery of this invisibility magic.
"It smells like an interesting story that explains the setting I'm in here." Luz said, sensing that Moriarty is about to explain more details about this magical kingdom and its rule.
"To explain, I have to start from the ground up on how this kingdom exists, listen very well because I will not repeat myself." Moriarty said, preparing to begin a tale few know about the origins of the Boiling Isles.
"A long time ago, before Odin was a child and the Cosmic Entities played mad scientists with cavemen ..." Moriarty was unable to begin his story properly because he is interrupted by Luz.
"You're telling me the aliens came to Earth before the Battle of New York, when humans lived in caves, and they did experiments on cavemen." Luz asked, in an incredulous tone, realizing that some of the internet madmen with their conspiracy theories are right.
Luz for a moment felt great pain for the poor defenseless victims, followed by great relief and gratitude that the Avengers are now protecting Earth.
"Yes, the Celestials influenced key events in human history for mysterious and unclear reasons. They were responsible for key events in human evolution, such as the races genetically derived from the Eternals and Deviants, as well as the creation of the X-Gene.
They are not the only aliens to have visited Earth, who do you think we created the pyramids or broke away the dinosaurs. "Moriarty said, mentioning two great historical mysteries that were caused by the aliens.
"Did I think it was a meteor that extinguished the dinosaurs or a cataclysm?" Luz declared, beginning to understand how little humans know about the universe, a few years ago the Power Armors and the aliens were things of science fiction, now Ironman flies in the sky and fights terrorists armed with alien technology.
"Let me explain my story. A long time when the Earth was ruled by Dinosaurs and there was only one super-continent.
The unthinkable happened, an alien fleet crashed on the planet, causing a cataclysm that killed the dinosaurs and set in motion the creation of the seven continents you know. "Moriarty said, making a dramatic gesture with his hands, creating a circle of light that shows comic-style images of the story he is telling.
"An alien fleet has crashed on Earth, causing the planetary catastrophe that triggers continent drift. But what does this have to do with this magical kingdom?" Luz asked, finding no apparent connection between aliens and the magical realm.
"The alien fleet came from a technologically advanced alien civilization that built a dyson sphere known as Chaos, intended as an ark to transport the species to another planet.
However, under unknown circumstances, the alien species perished and Chaos continued uninhabited.
Eventually he encountered a boundary referred to by Aphrodite as the "Tannhauser Boundary", beyond which lay the universe in which the Earth existed.
Unable to cross itself, Chaos consumed about 97% of its own functionality and was able to pass a relatively small fleet of ships across the border.
The original Chaos fleet, sent to find a suitable world to terraform and rebuild the alien civilization, was led by the flagship Chronos, with the series of ships that Chronos was part of being known as the Titans.
Eventually, the fleet stumbled upon planet Earth, which corresponded 78% to the landing conditions that marked a possible planet for colonization in their directives.
As the fleet's capabilities had degraded over the course of their long voyage and continued unrealistic, they made a catastrophic emergency landing.
The sentient spaceships lay asleep underground for a long time, until one day they reactivated by sheer luck.
With their bodies trapped in the bowels of the Earth, they created bodies or Avatars to be able to interact with the world and the human race who started worshiping alien spacecraft as gods. "Moriarty said, starting to get to the climax of the story.
"You're getting more and more interesting." Luz stated, not wanting to miss the end of the story for anything in the world except volume six of The Good Witch Azula.
"Under unknown circumstances, several ships rebelled against Chronos, in a conflict called the Titanomachy.
The faction from the flagship Chronos with the name of Titans fought against the faction of the flagship Zeus and its faction, Olympians. "Moriarty said, revealing the true identity of the alien fleet.
"The Greek Gods really existed, they are like the Asgardians!" Luz said, wanting to know more about the Olympics and how similar they are to the Asgardians, maybe the next big Avengers adventure will be an Olympian.
"In a sense, yes. Both are alien races that have been worshiped as gods by the human race.
But the Asgardians are not sentient spaceships that have had to craft remotely controlled bodies to play with humans.
The Olympics being basically machines without maintenance or the possibility of repairing themselves slowly began to degenerate, copying the bad habits of human beings and forgetting that they came from space.
Eventually somewhere during the Middle Ages the Olympians turned off completely, becoming huge pieces of metal imprisoned in the bowels of the Earth. "Moriarty said, noting that the Olympians have been out of action for more than 800 years and will likely remain in the same place. situation for even longer.
"This explained all the myths that misrepresent the Greek Phanteon. They practically suffered from some sort of degenerative disease." Luz said, imagining that the Olympians behave in a negative way because of their problems which get worse with time. If the gears in their head start to fall off or rust, it's no surprise that they did some crazy and nasty things.
"Returning to my story, civil war between the Titans and the Olympians.
The Titans cannibalized their vessels to create gigantic, partly machine and partly synthetic flesh bodies, with their core / server instead of the heart.
The Olympians preferred to create human-sized bodies, but armed with advanced technology, keeping their cores in the bowels of the Earth.
The Olympians have won the war and exiled the Titans into prison size. "Moriarty said, opening his arms wide to indicate the whole surrounding circumstances.
"Humans have called this dimension Tartarus, others a Limbo between worlds, the inhabitants call it the Boiling Sea." Moriarty continued, showing Luz a geographical illusion / hologram of the Boiling Sea.
"The Boiling Sea has tortured the Titans for millennia, eroding their armor and flesh, slowly killing them.
Two thousand human years ago, the Titans tried to return to Earth and take revenge on the Olympians by making a pact with Mundus, the King of Hell.
Too bad that in that period Sparda, the Dark Knight, Dante's father, made his rebellion against the Demons, wanting to protect the Human Kingdom or Midgard.
Sparda came to the Boiling Sea to stop the Titans, they had no pomace, millennia to boil and fight against the legendary Dark Knight ...
Corpses of the Titans can be found all over the Boiling Sea. "Moriarty said, they don't go into detail about what happened between Sparda and the Titans.
Enlarging the image again to show the town of Bonesborough located somewhere on the abdomen of the dead Titan.
"Are you telling me we're on top of an Alien / God / Cyborg corpse?" Luz said, stamping her foot on the ground, surprised to find herself in a city built on the surface of the largest corpse in the Universe.
"This is not the first time that living beings have built their cases using the corpses of higher beings.
Knowhere, the interdimensional space station and observatory, is located inside the head of a dead Celestial that floats at the edge of space and time without a specific location. "Moriarty explained, showing an image of an alien head as large as the earth's moon transformed into a kind of spaceport.
" Incredible !" Luz exclaimed, adding to the to-do list, go to space and visit Knowhere, but not before learning the magic.
"Incredible is that fewer than 10 people in the Universe know how the Boiling Isles actually formed.
You see, once with the death of the Titans, slowly inhabitants of various worlds, distant realms and parallel dimensions for one reason or another took refuge in the Boiling Sea, building their civilizations on the Corpses of the Titans.
Due to numerous conflicts between the various civilizations of colonizers and pioneers, they have lost all their knowledge prior to their migration.
Descendants of refugees know nothing of where they came from or what else is outside this dimension to originally use as a prison.
In short, this is the old story of this place, if you want the details you have to spend years studying historical books or becoming an archaeologist and studying the ancient ruins and crypts scattered on the Boiling Isles. "With these last words, Moriarty finished his. story, disabling its projection magic.
"I should probably keep this information to myself." She declared Luz, sensing that the story about the origins of this magical kingdom are a secret for a reason.
"If the locals discover that the Earth or the Human Kingdom is only a leaf of the entire Yggdrasill and their entire world is just a simple pocket dimension in an infinite Omni-Verso filled with unimaginable wonders and horrors ...
At the very least there would be mass panic, a crusade against Earth or some other stupid and dangerous thing.
You never know how religious fanatics, corrupt governments or the average man may react when he discovers that everything they know is deeply wrong. "Moriarty said, pointing out that the local population is not ready to live knowing that other kingdoms exist, aliens and Cosmic entities superior to the Titan they worship.
"In short we are in another dimension in a magical civilization built on the huge corpse of an alien. But how does this relate to the fact that Dante, Loki and Gudrun are the three most wanted men of the Boiling Isles?" Asked Luz, knowing the origins of this magical kingdom, but not for the reasons here the heroes are considered dangerous criminals.
"About fifty years as a witch in the past, Boiling Isles was a nation divided into small fiefdoms or city-states, there were always big or small conflicts between small nations, waging war on each other is not an exclusive feature of the human race.
Suddenly Belos appeared, currently recognized as the First Emperor of the Boiling Isles.
Belos is dictator, megalomaniac, fascist, impatient and intolerant of the failure of his subordinates.
But he managed to unite the Boiling Isles into one nation and lead it with an iron fist into the present. "Moriarty said, giving a not-too-nice introduction to the current leader of the Boiling Isles.
"Let me guess, don't dictators and heroes get along?" She stated Luz, knowing very well in her fictional stories and from true history that tyrants are never loved by anyone, especially heroes or vice versa.
"You have no idea, Luz.
Dante and Loki have come to this realm a handful of times to solve important problems, meet Gudrun Clawthorne, or use the Boiling Isles as a stopping point for an interdimensional journey.
The two of them did their thing as Demon Hunters and God of Evil, eventually helping many people and earning Belos' hatred. "Moriarty said, not wanting to go into details of what Dante, Loki and Gudrun did to anger. Belos.
"Bad and ungrateful, he shouldn't be happy that two people solve the problems of his kingdom for free." Luz said, not tolerating that kind of person, many politicians at home blame the Avengers for saving New York and Washington, saying their intervention made the situation worse.
"Our local Sauron to this mental: You are with me or against me.
Any demon, witch, or person who displays considerable strength or unusual ability has three choices:
One, kneel before Belos and live as a brainless faithful servant.
Two, disobey and live as a fugitive, receiving a poster, a reward on your head and a stage name.
Three, keep a low profile and don't get noticed. Belos can't want you in leash / chains if you don't know you exist. "Moriarty said, listing the three most obvious options available to people who are too talented or too out of the ordinary.
"Obey, run away or hide. None of the three seems like a good fate." Luz replied sadly, hating each of these options.
"The government is full of idiots and bad people, it's nothing new to any society. Belos and its laws make life difficult for many people.
But most people manage to live adequate and happy lives, look Bonesborough is a beautiful city full of life.
Sure the government can be getting better, but it could be worse in a thousand different ways. "Holmes said, trying to cheer Luz up, having preferred not to tell all the Belos stuff on their first outing. what kind of environment it is, the faster it can adapt, grow and evolve.
"Isn't there anyone fighting the system?" Luz asked, hoping that there will be a hero like Azura to solve the problems of the Boiling Isles and fight the corruption of the Boiling Isles.
"Officially there is only one rebel who has been troubling Belos as a witch for more than eight years ..." Moriarty said, pointing his silver staff at the Boiling Isles Most Wanted Man poster.
"The public enemy number one of the Boiling Isles, Gudrun C. Clawthorne-Holmes, nicknamed by all as the Crimson Knight." Moriarty stated, in a theatrical and passionate voice.
"I'm pretty sure his name is Gudrun Odinson, the third prince of Asgard, younger brother of Thor and Loki." Luz said, having studied all public information about the Mightiest Heroes on Earth, knowing their hero and civilian names.
"Luz, this information is best taken to the grave. We need to make a list of things you mustn't talk about here." Moriarty said in a low voice, approaching Luz to be heard.
"But why is talking about Loki and Gudrun's surname a problem?" Luz asked, also starting to whisper, which is strange considering that the dome of invisibility is still active. But when you are in Rome do as the Romans do.
"Gudrun and Belos are sworn enemies, an Emperor and a fighting rebel is one thing, an Emperor against a principle is a completely different thing.
If Belos knows that his greatest enemy is a prince, he might attempt to create a portal to Asgard, an interdimensional magical war between the Boiling Isles and Asgard, that's something I don't want to see. "Moriarty explained in a serious voice, hinting at to Luz that the consequences of having this information discovered can be nothing short of catastrophic.
"They changed their surnames in order to hide their status and avoid starting an international scandal." Luz said, beginning to understand why the Crimson Knight exchanged his surname.
"Very well, if we're done with the questions, we can walk to our destination, we're halfway between the market and the Iron-House." Moriarty declared, wanting to return to the safe walls of his property, preferring not to talk more about what is needed by Gudrun and Belos.
"One last question. If Gudrun just had to hide his status, why did he choose Clawthorne's surname, doesn't he belong to the second most sought-after person of the Boiling Isles?" Luz asked, in a curious tone, with seconds before the magic of invisibility is dissolved.
"Moriarty is a humble scholar of magic and science who runs a magic shop in the free temple, with several eccentric pastimes.
How can Moriarty know the secrets of Lady Owl and the Crimson Knight. "Moriarty replied, in an ambiguous tone, addressing himself to the third person.
"Are you talking about the same in the third person is it an Arcanist thing or a personal oddity?" Luz asked, raising an eyebrow at this oddity.
Suddenly Moriarty's nose twitched, starting to sniff the air like a hound.
"Change of plans. We're not going to the Iron-House, we're going straight to the market, if we're lucky it might be one of the rare days Eda shows up earlier than expected." Moriarty said, taking Luz's hand, going in the opposite direction from just before.
" What happened ?" Luz asked, curious about this sudden change in Moriarty's plans.
"He has a superhuman sense of smell I can easily do the work of a team of hounds." Moriarty said, sniffing the air like a dog.
"Did my nose pick up the smell of a person I'd rather not speak for now?" Moriarty said, picking up his pace, wanting to get out of the neighborhood as quickly as possible.
"Who is this person!? A rival, an ex-lover, a mortal enemy?" Luz asked, coming up with wild guesses one after another.
"None of these three options. Her name is Taokaka, the best fighter of the Kaka tribes of seemingly humanoid cat-people.
Taokaka is the personification of innocence in the world. She's a carefree cat who only wants the best for her friends and family. "Moriarty said, starting to make the description of Taokaka, in addition to creating a miniature illusion of Taokaka on the palm of his hand.
Luz stared at the illusion that Taokaka shows. She is a rather unique version of the catgirl archetype with brown skin and long blonde hair tied in two braids and a black cat tail with a faded white tip. She seems to spend all the time wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt with cat hood and cat-themed long sleeves that cover her arms. She wears a pair of unusually designed high-heeled boots with the same cat theme, but seems to be more suitable for a creature with high ankles
"I don't see anything wrong with that and he seems to be a nice person." Luz said, selling no problem making friends with a Catgirl.
"You're right, these are very good qualities to have. Unfortunately Taokaka is still not too smart and doesn't understand the meaning of privacy.
Like most cats, Taokaka's daily routine consists of eating and sleeping, and she can, and often will, forget everything she does or is told to do within three steps or seconds.
Once he sees a friendly face he won't leave you alone until you feed him his fill. "Moriarty said, sounding very annoyed at these Taokaka habits.
"I found you, Ink-Boy!" Screamed a Catgirl running across the street, aiming at Moriarty and Luz.
"Luz, I'm sorry, but we have to do a second teleport. I don't feel like wasting my entire afternoon with Taokaka today." Moriarty stated, placing his hand on Luz's shoulder who grimaces at the idea of teleportation.
"I got you!" Taokaka yelled, making a feline leap, preparing to fall on top of Moriarty.
Unfortunately for Taokaka, Moriarty and Luz suddenly disappeared, leaving only red blue petals that entered Taokaka's eyes, preventing her from seeing the light pole until it was too late.
CRACK!
A light pole was broken in two pieces due to the confrontation between steel and Taokaka's head.
"Let's play Ink-Boy Hide and Seek !?" Taokaka said, in a playful tone, standing up without the slightest damage to the head. Interpreting the disappearance of Moriarty as a kind of game between friends.

The arcanist and the Aspiring Witch have appeared in the middle of the Bonesborough square. Most of the merchants have already started opening their stalls while the latecomers are pulling out their wares.
"We probably have half an hour before Taokaka finds us. That girl is stupid, but she can find her target one way or another." Moriarty said, really wanting to avoid meeting Taokaka today.
"Luz are you okay, do you need a bucket or cold water?" Moriarty asked, slightly worried about Luz looking wobbly on her legs.
"I appreciate that you warned me before we teleported. But we can never do it again." Luz said, having to lean on Moriarty so as not to fall in the middle of the road.
"How is it possible that teleportation, one of the most fantastic powers in the world is so bad. My head is spinning so much that I need help not to fall, I'm pathetic." Luz said, in a depressing tone having a very bad relationship with the transporter.
"Don't say that, teleportation can be very difficult to support the first few times, especially my unique type of teleportation. Most people faint after a couple of trips with me." Moriarty said, taking Luz in his bridal-style arms as he walked through the market.
"Aren't you just saying that to make me feel better?" Luz asked, hoping Moriarty wouldn't pity her.
"Not even a dream. The teleport I have used so far is not magical or technological, it is an innate ability obtained due to the Gene-X present in my DNA.
My teleportation allows me to carry with me, the clothes he wears and, within limits, a certain amount of additional mass that is in contact with me.
When I use teleportation, I move through a dimension filled with exotic flowers and rivers that don't exist anywhere else.
I travel through it, and then return to my own dimension at some distance from the starting point.
The whole process happens so quickly that it took me years to become aware of this dimension.
I have found that the air and flowers of that dimension have absurd effects on people, some demons fall asleep or can no longer stand. Over time you become immune to the negative effects of my teleportation. "Moriarty detailed how his teleporter works, reassuring Luz that she doesn't have to blame herself for feeling sick from the teleport.
"Do you have any idea where we can find this Eda you're talking about. According to the wanted posters she's the most wanted woman in the Boiling Isles, having the second largest bounty on her head?" Luz asked, thinking this Eda is wearing some kind of disguise or selling her wares in a hidden and discreet place.
"Three words, hound nose." Moriarty replied, sniffing the air before turning right, quickening his pace.
"I memorized her scent, she could be hiding in any corner of the Boiling Isles, but I'd find her anyway.
There isn't another witch who smells like homemade potions, junk snail entrails, owl feathers, hellhound fur, human reds, and apple blood. "Moriarty explained, describing Mrs. Owl's scent in the details.
"You mean apple juice?" Luz asked, pretty sure Moriarty missed the last part.
"No, we are in a magical world of horror where even plants are deadly monsters.
In the Boiling Isles, apple orchards are sort of plant monsters that have to be beheaded if you want apples or their sweet, alcoholic blood. "Moriarty explained, directing a farmer's job as something closer to a hunter's job. of monsters.
"Even if I didn't have this nose. The Owl Lady is actually quite easy to find when she sets foot in Bonesboroug, for a fugitive she doesn't know how to behave discreetly and will probably attract the attention of the guards. damage to public property. " Moriarty explained, destroying the stealth witch image that Luz imagined.
Suddenly Moriarty's ears suddenly straightened, as if he were a dog that heard an urgent call.
"Eda is close by, I can hear her voice, she's trying to sell cheap goods at a premium. Typical of Eda." Moriarty said, with a smirk on his lips.
"Let me guess besides your sense of smell you also have a dog's hearing." Asked Luz, not so surprised, in the comics when one character to a superhuman sensory sense surely the others will also be empowered.
"I am a man full of surprises." Moriarty replied, keep carrying Luz in your arms.

In less than five minutes Moriarty and Luz arrived at their destination, a U-shaped silver metal stand with a large red tent behind it.
The stall is crammed full of human objects of dubious origin, most of them are clarified second-hand objects missing or taken from a landfill.
Finally there is a hand-painted sign that says, in dark red letters: Human Treasures.
The person running this business is a tall (180cm) and slender woman who appears to be in her early thirties.
This woman has ivory skin, pointy ears, brown lips and bright golden eyes.
Her wild hair is thick, long and layered with shimmering shades of white and silver.
It has two golden fangs that protrude from its mouth as if they were the fangs of a vampire.
Its nails are crimson in color and look a lot like a bird's claws.
She wears a red sleeveless dress with a ripped hem and black leggings. For footwear, wear large crimson combat boots, reaching up to the knees, the high heel of the boots offer an extra two inches in height.
Bring expensive-looking accessories decorated with various precious gems.
Ruby earrings in the shape of raindrops.
A gold eye-shaped locket with an amber stone inside.
Each of his arms have five large gold rings / bracelets with an archaic look.
All ten fingers wear a gold ring with a large precious gem with a kind of Rune or Glyph on it.
In his hands he holds a wooden stick with an Owl-shaped totem on top.
"Eda it's good to see you." Moriarty said, with a warm smile, continuing to carry Luz in his arms.
"It is always nice to see my favorite customer, behind the curtain I have ridiculous Manga and Comics with maghette that you like so much and some merchandise that you may certainly be interested in ..." Eda's greeting and teasing stops at sudden when he sees Luz in Moriarty's arms.
Eda married the gaze you can towards a half-full glass of apple blood, then goes back to looking at Luz, the process of repeating a handful of times.
"G ... Moriarty, I think I drank too much and started hallucinating." Eda said, in a worried tone, pouring the contents of the glass onto the ground.
"What kind of hallucination? Do you happen to see a talking zebra or a giant floating baby head?" Luz asked, referencing Candace Flynn's most common hallucinations.
"Perfect the hallucination begins to speak." Eda said, slapping her forehead, believing Luz in her blue-haired Catgirl disguise is a hallucination.
"Eda, you're not hallucinating. Dawn is real and the three of us need to have a little private chat, it's something important that can't wait." Moriarty said, in a serious tone, putting down Luz who doesn't seem to suffer from vertigo anymore.
"This is worse than a hallucination ..." Eda said, pulling out of her wild hair, a glass bottle with extra-strong apple blood in it, preparing to drink it all in one swipe.
But Moriarty gestures with his hand and the bottle turns into a snake that slips out of Eda's hand, crawling somewhere.
"Are you someone being bitten by that snake it's not my fault, I don't know him and I didn't bring him here." Luz said, not wanting to be blamed for this snake's future troubles.
"Don't worry baby, that snake will be a bottle of alcoholic poison again in minutes." Moriarty said, holding Luz's hand to reassure her.
Eda suddenly bleaches at the sight of Moriarty holding Luz's hand.
"First of all, drinking during the day is a very bad habit, especially for a single woman with a baby.
Two, you've already had a glass, that's enough and left for the whole week.
Three, you remember our deal you can only drink one glass of apple blood a week. "Moriarty said, criticizing Eda as if she were her doctor or something.
"I would have respected the deal. But I find myself in a situation that I'm not ready for." Eda said, imagining the worst and the inappropriate between Luz and Moriarty.
"I know you have a soft spot for ... What do you call them, Monster-Girl or Kemonomimi. It's just that lately I've been pressuring you to find a girlfriend or get your nose out of books and have fun ...
But please tell me you didn't get your hands on the kitten? "Eda asked, her face screaming: Where did I go wrong?
"How is it I could have brought myself here if it didn't touch me, from what I understand Moriarty's teleportation needs physical contact to work." Luz replied, misunderstanding Eda's words.
"Anda if I didn't love you I would hit you in the face with my cane. I feel deeply offended by what you just insinuated, you have known me since I was a child and you dare to think that about me." Moriarty said, in an offended tone, slamming his stick to the ground, causing deep cracks in the ground.
"I have extenuating circumstances, I didn't sleep too well yesterday because of Hooty, I just drank and read some of your old forbidden love novels that filled my head with weird ideas." Eda said, saying several excuses about why she thought what she thought.
"At least you're honest. I'm going to the tent to inspect those goods you told me about here." Moriarty said, walking past the cashier, going into the tent, leaving Eda alone with Luz.
"Something happened that made Moriarty angry, but I don't understand what?" Luz muttered, showing that she is as dense as a real manga star.
"Forget it, Kitten, he's angry because I've started drinking again, G ... Moriarty cares a lot about my health.
The last time I drank so much that I couldn't fly on my cane, Moriarty didn't talk to me for a week. "Eda said, using an old truth to hide the accusation recently.
"Until Moriarty finishes inspecting his purchase, can I offer you a human foot full of holes?" Eda said, trying to make a small sale, wanting to sell Luz an old green power strip.
"Or a green human candy bar?" Eda said, selling that Luz isn't interested in the slipper, pulled out a stick of men's deodorant.
"If you don't like that too, how about this box of black shadows that only reflects sadness?" Eda asked, pulling out a portable television with a large crack on it.
Up to this point Luz has continued to enjoy the spectacle offered by Eda, who knows nothing about the objects she wants to sell.
After having a short laugh, Luz decided to help Eda, the human in disguise prepares to give Eda some advice on how to use the portable TV.
But this time it touches Luz to be interrupted.
"Eda stop being ignorant and try to sell junk or broken items at surcharges.
Dawn is an expert in human culture, she won't be fooled like the rest of the commoners. So if you want to sell something, take out the valuables. "Moriarty said aloud, still slightly angry, advising Eda to sell the real human goods and stop selling the useless junk.
Eda rolls her eyes and mutters something not very nice in a low voice.
"I heard you and that is why on my next visit to Midgard I will no longer bring you those pastries you like so much!" Moriarty yelled, being able to hear everything Eda whispered perfectly.
"Damn Mutant puberty, my life was easier when G ... Moriarty didn't have bat-like hearing." Eda said, slapping her forehead, wondering how she forgot that Moriarty has superhuman hearing.
Luz has started laughing at Moriarty and Eda's scene, they seem like a perfect and polite son criticizing his immature old mother.
"Here is Kitten, some of my best wares, they cost a little more, but they are of excellent quality." Eda said, pulling out items with real value.
The first items on display are a telephone, a ring, a shiny gold trophy, a pair of playful glasses with eyes on the springs.
The rest of the real human merchandise includes a little bit of everything, watches, toys, soft toys, musical instruments and art materials.
Luz's interest was captured by the art materials, a purple and white notebook and a briefcase with everything needed to paint and draw.
"The kitten is a little artist. You know the first time I met Moriarty and bought the same type of notebook." Eda said, handing the purple and white notebook to Luz, along with the briefcase / art kit.
"Happy to do business, the goods cost 80 Snails." Eda said, spreading her hand to receive the money.
"I have no money." Luz stated, realizing that she can't buy anything, because her backpack contains only camping stuff, her Azura books and a wallet with a few dollars that are certainly worthless in a magical world.
"Eda I have no idea how Owlbert managed to get such a valuable commodity, but I'll pay you a fortune for it.
Dawn, look in the inside pocket of the raincoat you must have enough money to buy you something nice. "Gudrun said, starting to play with some mechanical tools inside the tent and telling Luz where she can find some money.
Luc doing as he was told to search the inside pockets of the raincoat, finding a sort of ceremonial dagger in the shape of a lightning bolt and a pouch full of coins.
Eda took the appropriate amount of snails, putting the gain in her wild hair.
"Kitten, can you tell me what's between you and Moriarty. I rarely see him in the company of new people, most of the time he spends in his laboratory or his magic shop." Eda asked, becoming very curious about Luz.
"I'm his new apprentice, this is my first day in Bonesboroug." Luz replied, trying to omit details of how she got to the Boiling Isles, as she takes her purchases and puts them inside her backpack.
"Moriarty you got yourself an apprentice !?" Eda yelled, taken aback by this information, not believing anyone would attract Moriarty's interest.
"Technically she is a probationary assistant, but if she proves skilled enough she could one day inherit the Iron-House." Moriarty said, coming out of the tent carrying with him, a metal case of fire red and golden yellow with a kind of torch in the center.
"I can't even imagine how Owlbert managed to get this briefcase. But I have to give him my respect and a nice sum of money to you." Moriarty said, in a happy tone, stroking the briefcase, pulling several purses filled to the brim with money out of her coat.
'A strange briefcase is worth so much !?' Eda thought not believing that Moriarty wants to give so much money for a simple fancy briefcase ...
'Taking into account his background and that he considers himself a collector of rare art and objects, he would not be out of character.
At least this time he's really interested in his purchase and he's not trying to do an act of charity. ' Eda thought, recalling the cases where Moriarty wanted to pay an exorbitant sum for a worthless object, just to give him some money so as not to starve.
"Who am I to reject the opinion of a specialist, keep the metal suitcase, you really have a fetish for metal or silver objects." Eda joked, mocking Moriarty for her interest in metal.
"It's not a fetish, I'm incredibly good at metal magic and that's why I let myself be surrounded by metal objects.
And I don't want to hear these remarks from the owl-obsessed Lady Owl who lives in a house called the Owl House. "Moriarty said, launching a counterattack at Eda's mockery.
"Maybe I like owls a little too much, but at least I can make up my own mind to belong to that theme, what are you a fan of metal, snakes or wolves?" Eda said, considering herself better because of a single obsession and not as many as Moriarty.
"Hound smell, dog hearing, by any chance you are a werewolf and I have to be careful you have your claws?" Luz asked, in a joking tone, joining the discussion to calm the waters.
Luz's eyes widened at the sight of Moriarty's claws.
The Arcanist closed his hand into a fist, slowly through the skin of the first and third knuckles and one from the inner wrist, slightly curved and 30 centimeter long metal claws came out, comparable to blades.
"I'm not a werewolf. But you guessed it you have to be careful you have my claws." Moriarty said, showing his claws to Luz.
"Can I touch them !?" Luz asked, wanting to touch at least one of these metal claws.
"Better not, they are covered with Adamantium, one of the rarest and most resistant metals in the universe, with them I can cut practically any object or creature in front of me." He warned Moriarty, shoving the claws back into his forearm to Luz's chagrin.
"You see you're worse than me. Your bones are coated in metal, your clothes are made of petroleum and liquid metal, to speak of those Nano-stuff that circulates in your blood." Eda said, listing several quirks peculiar to Moriarty.
"You know what Eda, I'm more mature than you and I'll let you win." Moriarty said, not wanting to argue with Eda all afternoon with out of nonsense.
The Arcanist has turned his gaze and attention to Luz.
"Dawn, guess who this briefcase belongs to. Here's a clue, it belonged to a Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist." Moriarty said, shaking the red and yellow metal case in front of Luz.
The Dominican-American girl big Avengers fan stared at the briefcase for a few seconds, with the famous Tony Stark quote in mind.
"Don't tell me it's ..." Luz can't even finish her sentence due to the excitement, starting to jump on the spot.
"You guessed it, a little animated wooden owl has succeeded where the American government, warlords and Russian super-villains have failed." Moriarty said, with a huge amused smile at the absurd situation he is in here.
"Now I'm the one who doesn't understand what you're talking about." Eda asked, feeling sidelined and having been screwed.
"You sold me one of the first dozen of Tony Stark's masterpieces. If you sell it in the Human Kingdom you could earn enough money to live the rest of your life in luxury." Moriarty said, commuting the briefcase in front of Eda, with a mischievous smile.
"What are you waiting for, put it on, I want to see Ironman armor up close!" Luz shouted, wanting to fulfill one of her dreams. In reality Luz doesn't just want to see and touch Ironman's armor, she also wants to wear it.
But Luz is smart enough to understand that the armor is designed for adults; and Luz is physically too small to wear it.
"I wouldn't miss the opportunity to show Eda how screwed she has been with this purchase.
But this armor was collected from the ruins of Tony's house after the events of the Mandarin. The armor is damaged and in need of some repair.
Maybe besides magic I can give you some science lessons, surely learning how to build Power Armor is a skill you wish you had. "Moriarty said, handing the briefcase to Luz who holds it tight as if her life depended on it.
"In addition to magic, you want to teach me how to build futuristic technology that could make me Iron-Luz or Luziron!" Luz exclaimed, lifting the briefcase over her head before putting it down due to her weak nerdy arms.
"I understand why you decided to take her as an apprentice, the girl looks like you, you are both weird fanatics of the human kingdom." Eda said, making fun of Moriarty and Luz for their interests in human heroes.
"Dawn is my probationary assistant, but she'll be a great apprentice for you." Moriarty stated, nonchalantly, a fairly important fact.
" Thing !?" Eda and Luz shouted at the same, taken aback by Moriarty's words.
"I'm a busy man I can't look after Dawn 24/7.
Sometimes I have to go to other Realms to do some doing or participate in adventures too dangerous for a child inexperienced in the arts of magic and the sword.
So on this day Dawn will stay with you and learn some of your tricks as a Wild Witch and a professional Swindler. "Moriarty said, giving the engines for here Luz should stay a few days with Eda.
"Why on earth do I have to participate in the training of this kitten?" Eda asked, wanting a very important reason why she should make such a commitment here.
Moriarty brought out an old diary in purple and white, decorated with gold designs, holding an amulet attached to the diary via a chain.
"Please read this page aloud." Moriarty said, with a smirk on his face, handing Eda her notebook.
"I, Edalyn" Eda "Clawthorne aka the Owl Lady, without being forced or coerced by anyone.
I declare that I owe a favor with no ifs or buts to the owner of this notebook. "Eda read the contents of the journal aloud, remembering when and where this was written in Moriarty's notebook.
"After seven years you begin to collect your favors." Eda said, in a resigned tone, agreeing to have to keep her side of the deal.
"Moriarty, are you sure this Witch can teach me something, she seems like a good person, but I haven't seen any great magic from her." Luz said, preferring Moriarty to Eda for the moment.
"Eda may be a kleptomaniac, garbage man, vulgar, proud and tsundere. But she is one of the most powerful native witches of the Boiling Isles. Only that cursed Belos and his raven bitch can stand up to Eda, regardless of the strangers of others. Realms. " Moriarty stated, in a sincere tone, involuntarily causing Eda's head to swell.
"Moriarty is right, I'm Eda the Owl Lady! The Mightiest Witch in the Hot Isles!" Eda shouted, jumping onto the booth table.
"But as far as wisdom, intelligence, tactical and strategic skills are concerned, they are not Eda's specialties." Moriarty whispered to Luz, using her silver staff to activate her invisibility magic again.
Eda begins to get caught by the waves, putting a hand on her chest she begins to praise herself: "I am respected, feared ...!"
"Arrested!" He has a hoarse voice.
Eda's arrogant, self-copying smile is gone, replaced by a stern frown.
A man appeared in front of his shop, dressed in a strange dark-colored guard suit and a horrifying iron helmet in the shape of a beak.
"You have been ordered to come with me to the Conformatory ..." the guard said, reaching out to grab Eda, unaware that an invisible Moriarty and Luz are next to him.
CRACK!
The guard's words were interrupted by a very strong impact on her head.
Moriarty dispersed his illusory magic, revealing that he used his silver staff to bludgeon the guard's head.
"We strangers have to stick together." Moriarty muttered, making a brusque gesture with his hand to throw the guard's unconscious body into a trash can and close the lid.
"I had everything under control, but help is appreciated." Eda said, giving Moriarty and Luz a little smile.
The Owl Lady lifting her staff, twirling between her fingers before hitting the tip to the ground, golden flashes emanating from her body and onto every object around her.
A golden glow surrounded Eda's things, lifting everything from shelves to clocks and toys to the tent itself, freeing it from the ground into the air.
Everything floats in the air, the curtain breaks down, the poles, the ropes and the fabrics come off and flatten, seeing locked in a simple case that shrinks to the point of being put in your pocket.
"We have to get away from the guards. But please don't tell me we have to use the transporter." Luz asked, not wanting to get caught, but neither does she want to travel with Moriarty's transporter.
"I understand very well why you don't want to leave the scene with Moriarty's power. Even after 50 trips with his transporter I can't feel nauseous or dizzy." Eda said, also opposed to using Moriarty's teleportation as an easy escape route.
"Eda, Dawn it's time for you to fly away from Bonesborough, see you at the Owl House. I'm going to take the scenic route." Moriarty stated, in a reassuring tone, turning his silver staff into an obsidian spear and disappearing, leaving red-purple petals and drops of blood-red paint behind.
"Come with me, kitten!" Eda said taking Luz by the wrist and dragging him with her.
"This is becoming the best or worst day of my life.
If I go to jail, my mother will kill me! "Luz shouted, panicking slightly due to the disappearance of Moriarty who seems more capable and reliable than Eda.
"Ah! I won't let them hurt you. Moriarty won't forgive me if I let her new friend be hurt under my gaze." Eda said, reassuring Luz that she is in good hands.
Suddenly Eda wraps her arms around Luz's waist, screaming with excitement, leaps forward.
The strongest Witch of the Boiling Isles, she pushed herself ten, twenty, thirty feet in the air with sheer physical strength, taking Luz with her.
Her staff came to life, the owl totem's eyes sparkled and her wings spread as she stretches her legs, Luz unceremoniously drops in front of Eda.
Slowly the market and the city itself have begun to shrink from their point of view as Eda's staff carries them into the magenta morning sky.
Continues ...
