Greetings, PokéFans!

Here's a new story, this time taking place in the country of Ransei. I'm not calling it region here, because I think the Pokémon Conquest world is completely different from the staple Pokémon world that we know and love. I mean, it should be pretty obvious. Onto the story then!

Disclaimer: The following story is a fanfiction of Pokémon Conquest. The game itself is owned by Tecmo Koei and Nintendo. Please support the actual game!

Waking up to somewhere unknown irked me. Very much so. I was, somewhere, I guess. For some reason, the ground below me seems to look like tiles, a bunch of squares connecting each other. Confused, I began to walk around to try and get a feel of the place. I immediately stopped because I felt different. As if only noticing now, I looked at myself.

Armor. I'm wearing armor. Japanese armor, if it didn't get any weirder. It was gold, with a touch of a silver design that had a storm motif going on. On top of that, instead of a helmet, it looks like I was given a black scarf that ended in a gold zigzag. Alarmed that someone had stripped me just to put me in this armor, I frantically look around for anyone. No one was there.

I run my dominant hand over my hair and stiffened in shock. My hair became spikey. Before this whole debacle, it was black and curly. This was getting even more confusing than before.

I jogged, looking for some body of water. Whoever sent me here didn't give me anything other than this armor, the jackass. Finally reaching a pond, I leaned in and saw...

"Who the fuck is this pretty boy..?" I hear a sultry voice speak as the pretty boy's mouth moved. I widened my eyes. Coming into a realization, I wave my hand to see if my guess is right. The pretty boy waves at the exact same time as me. I somehow both cheer and cringe. I was the pretty boy.

I now had beautiful spikey golden blond hair and ruby red eyes. My face was as if it was sculpted by someone like Michaelangelo. My shocked expression looked quite familiar, but not totally. I run through my hair once more. This time, I gaped even harder.

"Gil-face...?" Indeed, I looked like the King of Heroes from the TYPE-MOON franchise himself, my ruby eyes mocking me. Foolishly, I concentrated hard to try and use his Treasury, only to fail and just fart.

Oddly enough, I feel glares that most likely transcended universes and gulped. 'Right. Never trying that ever again,' I think wisely. When the bloodlust faded, I just sat there not knowing what to do. I'm somewhere I don't recognize, I have nothing but armor, and I have a new body that's probably more fit than my fat ass could ever achieve in my whole life. Then, something moved towards me.

It was a four-inched spider. Four yellow legs were tipped with blue, conical feet. Its ovoid body is completely covered in yellow fur, with notable tufts sticking out on each side of its face, just over each eye, and its lower back. It has four blue eyes. The two larger eyes are set relatively far apart on its face, containing black pupils. The two smaller eyes are situated between the first pair, slightly higher up on its face. Its mandibles point downward and reside at the bottom of its face, where they closely resemble tufts of hair. It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. It stared at me curiously, as it had never seen a person before. Memories somehow rushed into my head like a broken dam.

Joltik. A fucking Pokémon. I was in Pokémon.

And not just in any Pokémon series. I was in Conquest. It became clear to me why I had armor. Assuming from the Joltik, I'm guessing I'm either in the Sky Garden of Violight or Chrysalia, the Electric and Bug Kingdoms respectively. I shake my head. 'There's no time for dilly-dallying.'

Reluctantly, I reach my hand out to the little spider. I tensed, before realizing that I probably meant no harm. I ended up patting its head as it cooed at the touch. I smile at the adorableness of the Joltik.

"Hey there," I say, removing my hand from its head. "Are you a boy or a girl?" I did it. I threw in the big guns and channeled my inner Samuel Oak. "You can touch my left arm if you're a boy and the right if you're a girl," I explained. The Joltik seemed to think for a moment before nudging my left hand. A boy then.

'Come to think of it, I need a new name,' because whatever ROB that sent me here had to take away some of my personal information, like my old name and anything of the sorts. I can still remember my experiences with my family and friends, but never their names.

Add to the fact that my old name won't work here well, since the people here in Ransei all presumably have Japanese names. Without any hesitation whatsoever, I've decided on using my favorite Japanese historical figure, which wasn't in the Sengoku period.

"I'm Okita. Okita Sōji." And so, I sealed my fate as a katana user in order to live up to my new name. Especially if Warriors are expected to fight alongside their Pokémon. Keyword being if.

Feeling confident, I ask, "Wanna be my partner?" Joltik tilted his cute little head. "I mean, we can travel this country together, if you want. Maybe we can battle other Warriors and Pokémon. You could even evolve! What say you?" In the end, the little spider nodded, much to my joy. With him by my side, I now have some protection from other Pokémon or bandits.

And now, the little guy needs a name to differ him from other Joltik. I tell him this, and he happily agrees. Brainstorming a bit, we came up with the name Senko, which meant "flash." It was good enough, I guess.

Turns out Senko was an omnivore because he kept munching on leaves as I try to hunt food for myself. All I've ever gotten were some berries. This was a blessing because I actually almost fell from the edge of the Sky Garden.

"Now," I started. "How do we get down from here?"

We finally got down from the Sky Garden with the help of a ferry by hot air balloon. The ferryman was kind to us, refusing to put us in his debt when we couldn't pay for the ride. He said that this time was a freebie, because he understood my plight. After all, waking up to find nothing but your attire must have surely been the work of bandits. Are bandits in this world kind enough to leave their victims alive and in armor? I don't know. Maybe they're incompetent at their "job?"

Looking at the dark road surrounding me, I guess this is Violight. The tall spires and the large Power Plant do speak for themselves. Even the castle had some connected to it.

Walking around the kingdom, I overhear the merchants talking.

"Hey, did you hear? Apparently, the Dokuga Nation is now under the Lord of Ryū's rule."

"Really? They must be really strong then! I heard the Lady of Dokuga was a strong kunoichi!"

"Yeah, they say that the Lord's name is Oda Nobunaga."

"Do you think he's going to be the one to do it?"

"You mean the legend? It's possible..."

I stop listening at that point. From what I can gather, the Dokuga Nation is Viperia. Hmm, that could give me a few months before the Hero or Heroine clashes with him, if I were in the "Legend of Ransei" timeline. If this was one of the "Unite Ransei" timelines, it's most likely that joining him becomes the optimal choice.

I sigh, giving Senko another leaf to munch on. The kind ferryman gave me a small pouch as well as a sack to put the leaves and berries I've gathered in. I should start finding a place to stay at the moment. That's when I hear a small commotion behind me.

"Stop right there!" An officer most likely was chasing a thief on the streets. The thief was as dumb as his face because he was laughing like a madman while running away. He wasn't even looking where he was going. He had a Meowth on the top of his head too.

Slightly bored, I decided to throw this officer a bone. I stood my ground as the Thief bumped into me. After being dazed for a moment, he was about to yell at me when I suddenly held his shoulder, locking him in place. The Meowth must have learned what I was doing, and tried to Fury Swipe (or Scratch) me to oblivion when Senko used a powerful Thundershock to halt its advance. The Meowth fell to the ground unconscious.

'Holy shit,' I thought to myself. 'That was a Thundershock, right? Why did it OHKO this Meowth?'

I was brought out of my musings by the officer. "Well that's interesting," he said, crossing his arms. A Panpour trailed right behind him. "That Bachuru is quite strong, to have defeated a Nyarth using only one move." As the man apprehended the thief, his Panpour— or whatever it's called here —stared at Senko blankly. My partner seemed intimidated by the water monkey, crawling back into my scarf.

The officer smiled at the interaction. "Apologies, it seems that my Hiyappu is curious about your Bachuru as well." I took it all in stride, already puffing my chest out in pride.

"I guess Senko is just that special," I bragged. "First day of being partners and he's already going beyond!" I think my smug has reached a level further beyond too.

The officer blinked in surprise, "You have only been partners for today? Quite impressive." He bows, holding the rope he used to tie the thief up tightly, "Still, I must thank you for your aid in apprehending this misguided fool." He straightens up.

"I still have not introduced myself, if I recall." At my nod, he continued, "My name is Ōtomo. Ōtomo Sōrin. I am a Warrior at the employ of Lady Tachibana."

"Okita. Okita Sōji," I had to pause to try and remember who Lady Tachibana was. 'She's Ginchiyo if I'm not wrong.' Sōrin then asked, "If I may be so bold, how did you encounter that Bachuru of yours? Senko, if I am correct?"

Senko perked up at the mention of his name. We looked at each other, before shrugging. It wouldn't harm us if I told him my story. So I told him. How I woke up with nothing but this armor, how I met Senko, and about that kind ferryman.

Sōrin contemplated my story. He could tell if someone was lying to him or not, it's why he was the one doing most of the patrols around the nation. And he said that I wasn't lying.

"You're hiding something, Master Okita," he commented. "But so long as it would not harm Lady Tachibana or Shiden, I shan't pry."

I suppose that's good? Well, I guess he's a pretty chill guy.

After putting the thief in jail to await trial, Sōrin requested that I follow him for an audience with Lady Ginchiyo. He said that with enough training, I could be a good Warrior under her command. I gaped at him for quite some time, not believing what he said.

He was trying to nakama the shit out of me.

I grinned in response, following both him and his Panpour. When we arrived at our destination, Sōrin had me kneel before the lady who wore armor that looked like a cross between Japanese and valkyrie-style? Sōrin also knelt before her. While it is hard to describe her armor, I recognized Ginchiyo from her headgear. And I must say, the artwork doesn't do her justice. What the hell? Then I recalled all the other Warlords and Junior Warlords. 'Fuck, they're all hot.' I mean I'm as straight as a pocky, but you got to admit that all of them were attractive. Thankfully, now I'm also a pretty boy, so uh, yay? Maybe that means I'm important too..? Hmm, actually now that I think about it—

"My lady, Otomo Sōrin at your service," the Warrior began. At Lady Tachibana's nod, he spoke, "I have brought Master Okita." Feeling her gaze at me, I wait for her to speak.

"Okita Sōji, there is no more need to kneel. Officer Sōrin reports that you aided him in apprehending one of the thieves running amok in the nation. As Shiden's Warlord, I offer you my thanks." Being personally thanked by someone of importance is a great feeling. I don't think I'll ever forget this. Senko was still in the comfort of my scarf, somehow purring... "Another thing of note that Sōrin has reported is that you are in need of employment?" Lady Tachibana's gaze was becoming predatory. Her Shinx now decided that it was time to show itself, wearing the same expression as its partner.

I guess I should be polite, "That is correct, Lady Tachibana." At my words, the Warlord sighed. "While I appreciate your manners, I'd rather you call me Ginchiyo. After all, I wish for you to join my army," She stated. "Sōrin here," the Warrior bowed. "Stated that both you and your Bachuru had potential. The question is, will you accept?" I looked at Senko, who tilted his head towards me. Without hesitation, I turned to Ginchiyo and replied, "If you would have me, Lady Ginchiyo."

The Tachibana clan head smiled, pleased with my answer. "Then so shall it be. Rise, Lord Okita Sōji, as a Warrior of Shiden. Your first order is to report under Lord Takahashi Muneshige for your training. Both you and Sōrin are dismissed." Both Sōrin and I bowed and left the room.

I pat Senko's head as I thought about the order I received. 'Muneshige, huh? I look forward to it.'

Now that this chapter is over, I guess I should explain. As I've mentioned in my RWBY-SI story, I'm making SIs based on my Pentagon Elements, meaning each SI will represent those. Demeter Easton from the Pokémon fanfic "Down to Earth" represents Earth, Juno (SI!Yuno) Grinberryall from the Black Clover fic "The Path Before My Very Eyes" is Wind, Whitley Schnee from the RWBY-SI "White Meadow is Water (ICE IS FROZEN WATER!) and now, "Lord" Okita Sōji of Shiden represents Lightning (Or Light, haven't decided yet.)

Okita here represents my carefree nature. While still smarter (and maybe wiser) than TFS Goku by being able to sometimes think things through, he's more of a doer. Easily getting bored, he does what he thinks is the most fun. With him becoming a pretty boy (I don't know if you want me to call him bishounen, say in the comments if it's better.) and a Gil-face at that, being in Ransei has given him a thirst for battle. He hasn't been fit in a long time, so when his chubbiness is removed completely, he's bound to do something to maintain it. Luckily for him, he's in a place where being fit is necessary.

As for why he chose Okita Sōji as his name, well I wanted to differentiate him from the being that is I, Kamui Raiu! It was either Okita or Kojiro though, heh.

Just to be clear, in most conversations, the Pokémons' Japanese names will be used, but Okita will still think of their English names.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Let me know on the reviews! Which Pokémon do you think is his actual Perfect Link? It could be Senko, it could be something else!

Until next time, PokéFans! Kamui Raiu out!
