Julian and Myles were making their way through asking people to join the talent show. To their surprise quite a lot of people had joined. They had been the most surprised by Kira joining but now they could rest and not worry about her not knowing about something and shouting at them.
"So what do we have left?" Julian asked, looking around the station.
"The bar. True I don't think we'll have much luck there. Oh and if Rom says anything try to ignore him." Myles said, shaking his head.
"Why?"
"I heard stories from Vic about Rom singing to him. It wasn't pretty by the sounds of it."
"Maybe he's got better." Julian tried to get Myles to agree.
Myles rolled his eyes and carried on walking trying not to go to the bar. In other words keep out of sight of Rom. Julian on the other hand, bounded straight over to the bar which wasn't too busy. Myles tried to get Julian back but lost to Julian's attitude. He couldn't stop Julian and he knew it.
"There he is." Julian whispered to Myles pointing over at Rom, who was leaning against the bar looking bored.
"Don't go over to him. Just carry on walking and try to get past." Myles hissed.
Julian didn't listen however, and bounded straight over to where Rom was standing. Myles threw his hands up in the air when Julian did this.
"Hey Rom. How's business?" Julian asked, trying to get the ferengi to smile again.
"Not good Julian. It's kind of annoying to be honest." Rom sighed.
"Why? What's wrong? Normally you're positive about everything!" Julian punched Rom in the arm.
"It's Quark. He's being mean to me."
"What's new?!"
Rom looked over to where Quark was serving tables. Julian could tell that this time they had had a big falling out. Normally Rom would just brush it off and carry on. What was so different about this time?
"He says that I shouldn't go to Vic's anymore. He said the business was more important." Rom admitted.
"Don't listen to him Rom." Julian said.
"I'm trying not to. Maybe you or Myles could talk to him or something." Rom looked hopeful.
Julian looked over to where Myles had been standing for the last few minutes. Julian pointed his head over to Quark. Myles sighed loudly and did what Julian told him. Plus it might get another person to join the talent show.
"Myles will deal with it." Julian patted Rom on the back.

Odo made his way up to Ops. Sisco had told him to go there as he had something to say. Also he wanted to know if Kira was going to join the talent show. He knew what the answer would most likely be but he was going to ask anyway. He found her waiting at the desk with Ezri but Julian and Myles were nowhere to be seen. Nog was listening in but was still working on something.
"Odo." Kira smiled as he made his way over to them.
"What did the captain want?" Odo asked.
"I don't know."
"Admiral Ross' ship just arrived so it might have something to do with that." Ezri suggested.
"Where are Julian and Myles? I thought they would join us, unless they think that talent show is more important!" Odo smirked.
"I sent a message down to them but had no reply. They might be in Quarks and not heard it." Kira told him.

Myles strode over to Quark trying not to get on his bad side. Quark angry was not something he wanted to deal with right now. True if he had been mad at Rom earlier so he wouldn't be surprised to see him still mad. Quark sighed as he saw Myles walk over.
"What do you want, O'Brien? Can't you see I'm busy!" Quark said under his breath.
"I just wanted to know why you are mad at Rom. Maybe we can help you make up again." Myles said smoothly.
"Not right now." Quark waved him away.
"I know you're busy and you want to keep working but if you and Rom made up again..."
"He wants to go to Vic's and spend all his time there." Quark interrupted Myles.
"He just wants to be involved with the talent show. It's just one night." Myles tried to reason with Quark.
Quark rolled his eyes but then saw the line of customers that had appeared. He needed out of this conversation quickly if he was going to help them.
"Fine but only one night." Quark finally gave in and walked over to the bar to help the customers.
Myles gave a thumbs up to Julian to tell him he had done that job. Julian smiled back and then saw something on his communicator. He said his goodbyes to Rom and took Myles by the arm.
"Where are we going?" Myles asked being pulled away.
"To Ops. Ezri says we're needed by Sisco." Julian said, stepping up the pace before they got told off by Sisco.

"You can't be serious." Sisco muttered to Ross still in his office.
Sisco had called together the senior staff before Ross stepped one foot in the door. Ross arriving never meant a good thing and right now he was right to be nervous and call everyone together. Ross leaned back in his chair.
"I'm afraid I am. The Defiant is needed by Martok's fleet and I don't want to get on his bad side." Ross continued.
"Just like that we're supposed to leave?!" Sisco asked a bit louder.
"Ben, the Defiant is the best ship in the fleet and if I don't send it out there then we'll probably lose the Klingon trust."
"I don't know if it's ready."
"Then make it ready. At least be on standby to leave and then we can have a plan B if we need one."
Sisco nodded and Ross headed out of the office back to his ship. Once Ross was gone, Sisco put his head in his hands. No one was ready to leave now, let alone the ship being ready to go out into Dominion space! He would have to listen however. He then headed to Ops to debrief the rest of the crew about what he had just heard. He just hoped the situation would be sorted and they wouldn't be needed to go out all that way.

Sisco joined the senior officers in Ops. Julian and Myles had made it just in time with both of them being out of breath having to rush from the bar all the way to Ops. Sisco looked at them weirdly and then told them what was going on.
"The Defiant is needed to help General Matrok's fleet. They're afraid a Dominion attack might happen." Sisco told them.
"What right now?" Myles was the first to ask.
"As soon as possible Admiral Ross said." Sisco nodded.
"But what if we have plans?" Julian said, looking over at Myles.
"We need to be on standby. Ross said he's checking in with Martok again tonight and then he'll have more information." Sisco breathed out.
"Right. Do you think we'll be needed?" Julian continued to ask.
Sisco was a bit confused as to why Julian asked so many questions. Normally he would let everyone else do that so was taken aback by Julian doing this.
"I don't know Julian." Sisco repeated before leaving with Odo to discuss something.
"What was all that about?" Ezri smiled as she crossed her arms at Julian, once Sisco had left.
"We have plans. We can't just dump them all." Julian shrugged.
"The talent show?! Is that important to you?" Kira moaned.
"It's important to me, yes. Vic needs a break so we need to help." Myles backed Julian.
Kira got a message from her communicator. She said her goodbyes and was quickly followed by Ezri. This left Julian and Myles by themselves still wondering if the talent show would happen at all. Julian really wanted the talent show to go ahead. Also Vic would be very sarcastic if it went down the drain.
"Maybe we had better discuss this with Vic." Myles suggested.
"You two are going to see Vic?" Nog came over to them with a smile on his face when he heard Vic's name.
"No." Julian scoffed.
"Yes we are Nog. You can come if you want to. What's the matter with you?" Myles whispered to Julian.
"I don't want to see Vic." Julian whispered.
"I'll tell him that. He'll never want you in the longue again!" Myles jokes.
Julian made a face and then followed both Nog and Myles down to the bar and then to Vics.
