Chapter 10: Luca To the rescue

I see you have come back for another chapter of the harem anime owl house… thank you and I am sorry for the cringe. Running thru the crowded streets of Bonesborough, Luca's heart was racing. He jumped over a Moving cart which stopped in his path. He ran into the town square and saw eda loading her fourth of the groceries.
"Eda!" Luca yelled from across the street dashing toward the wagon.
Eda's ears perked up upon hearing her name and she turned her head to look at the source. "Luca, there you are. I sent lilly for look for you… where is she by the way?"
Luca stopped in front of the owl lady, panting. "she's fighting the kidnappers."
"what kidnappers?"
"I was enjoying the day as I got the shopping done early, then I overheard this woman yelling at a guy she suspected to be a kidnapper. I fought him, his buds got the drop on me, and Lilith saved me."
"what!? What were you thinking!? I told you that the kidnappings aren't our problem."
"I know, I should have listened but that doesn't matter. Lilith needs our help."
"Alright, lead me to her."
Both luca and eda ran back to the fighting scene. Both were frigthened for Lilith as they came upon the crime scene there heart stopped.
In front of them was carnage as the buildings were scorched, one had it's roof half-caved in, and another's window were shattered.
Standing around the scene was several guards in the uniform of the empresses guards. They looked over the crime scene with an analytical eye.
"this isn't good." Eda said, head shaking.
Luca looked down and saw lilith's gem stone inside an alley. "I fear you may be right."
Eda noticed Lilith's gems and glared. A low growl escaped her lungs.
Luca listened in with his witch ears and could barely hear the guards talking amongst themselves. Luca used a spell to heighten his sense of hearing and could barely make out what the guards were saying.
"what are we looking at?" the first one asked as a shingle from the roof fell down in front of him making the guard flinch.
His partner scratched his chin "a kidnapping gone wrong. Those guys know better then do it in broad daylight."
"So what do we do?"
"Simple… nothing at all."
"But sir," the first one gasped, "this a public incident. People will talk and if the empress finds out we did nothing. We could be turned to stone."
"Who do you think is sponsoring these kidnappings. Listen leave the people who come forward to the champions. All we need to do is look like we know what we're doing and deal with any loose ends that make themselves known… understand."
The guard saluted his partner with a shaky hand. "yes sir."
Luca and Eda watched as the guards combed the area for a few minutes and than decided to take a break. They still didn't find Lilith's gem and Luca held his breath as he and his teacher hid.
"Hey Joe, do you think we can sample the merchandise before it gets sent to the farm?" the first guard asked pulling a flask from his belt.
The second guard smacked his head. "don't be a fool!" he shouted, "the empress would flay our hides if we tried and do that. Just like she did to mikel when he forced that one girl to do a belly dance in exchange for a glass of water."
"what does she need all these women for anyway?"
"I don't know and frankly I don't care. It doesn't affect my pay whether I know or not… so I don't want to know."
The guard nodded and took a small swing from his flask.
"alright we're done here." The second guard said. "come on, first round of appleblood is on me." he said.
The two guards walked off and once they were out of sight both eda and luca stepped out of their hiding place.
"Those bastards, they know the empress is having these women taken from their homes and they don't want to do anything." Luca said, fuming.
Eda rolled her eyes. "now you see why I didn't want you to be apart of this. It's too dangerous, I knew the empress was the one ordering these kidnappings… nothing like this would happen without her say so. Now come on we need to find your sister."
"you're not gonna just leave Lilith behind, are you?"
Eda picked up Lilith's gems and frowned. "No, of course not. We'll just need luz as back up."
"Okay, what are you gonna do with that gem?"
"It's connected to Lilly's magic. Sometimes a witch will form a crystal to act as a reserve battery in case they have extensive spellcasting in the future. A kinda emergency power source. So this can be used as an anchor to track Lilith's current position. Now come on, luz will be waiting for us."
Eda walked off toward the wagon.
Luca looked in the direction the guards left and frowned, don't worry lilith, I'm coming for you.

Luca, Luz, and eda crounched down behind the warehouse where the tracking spell said Lilith was being held.
It was an unassuming building of graystone in the middle of the warehouse district of bonesborough.
Luca glared at the place. The kidnapped women were kept her under everyones nose. Despicable.
Eda raised her two fingers pointed northward indicating that they should move forward.
Both of the teens follow their teacher to the front door. They saw it had a padlock and with a twirl of her fingers it melted off.
"easy." Eda said, smirking.
Too easy. Luca thought, why do I feel such unease.
The three witches opened the front gate and were welcomed by the sight of woman crowded inside cramped cells. They looked at the new arrivals and whimpered.
"these poor women. Most of them are around my age." Luz stated, looking on horrified.
"I Know, let's get them out of here." Luca began using Magic to unlock the doors.
They swung open and the girls ran out of the warehouse in droves. Luca unlocked the last of the cages and heard a groaningfrom the backroom. It sounded like Lilith.
Luca ran into the backroom to see Lilith arms and legs bound to a large metal rod.
"Lilith!" Luca ran to untie her.
The witch opened her eyes and with a slur. "Luca, is that you?"
"Yeah lilith, I'm here. It's going to be okay." Luca undid the last of the bindings and caught her wihen she fell.
"You shouldn't have come here… it's a trap." Lilith closed her eyes, passing out.
"Indeed it is?" a voice yelled from the other room.
The witches turn their heads and saw in front of them the man from before flanked by esdeath and erza both with their weapons drawn.
"now, all we have to do is kill the intruders and reclaim the escaped cargo you liberated. Then we're done for today." Esdeath said coldly.
"exactly, so let's not keep the empress waiting." Erza raised her sword and pointed to luz. "I think we may have found a new addition to the farm as well."
"and eda the owl lady. I knew you couldn't be trusted. The empress is going to have fun torturing you for information."
"she'll have to come get me herself." eda growled preparing her spell circle.
"we'll see about that!" Esdeath charged the owl lady slamming into her.
Both luz and luca looked at erza with hate in their eyes.
"attack!" Luz screamed and used a spell circle to summon a giant ball of fire shooting it toward Erza.
The red woman smirked at that and summoned a sword that slashed at the ball, dispelling it.
"you're going to need to do better then that? Witchling."
Luz yelled at the top of her lungs and charged.
"Luz! Wait!" Luca followed her using a spell circle to surge in front of her.
"we can't be stupid about this." He ordered. "we have to do this, together."
The luz nodded and smiled.
The humans used a pair of spell circles to summon ice shards at the red woman.
She cut one with her dispelling sword and other hit her side.
"Again!"
` The two humans summoned bindings to entrap Erza and once again they succeeded when she was distracted with the other.
"Finish her!" Luca yelled.
The two humans summoned fireballs as they were a direct hit on erza,
meanwhile Eda and esdeath were fighting all over the warehouse ice and fire splashing the area.
Esdeath gained the upper hand kicking her in the teeth.
"we have to help eda!" Luz exclaimed.
Luca nodded his head but felt his eyes grow heavy. The boy lost consciousness as he fell flat on his face. His hood torn as a rocked plopped down beside him.
Luz turned her gaze toward Erza who threw the rock and was burned on a third of her body.
"you should help yourselfs witchlings." Erza scowled limping toward Luz.
Luz bent down to check on her brother removing his ruined hood and holding his head.
"wait a minute, Luca!" Erza screamed.
"what!?" Esdeath sneered looking down at the hurt eda. "I knew you were hiding the boy from us!" she kicked the witches aide knocking her to the ground.
"I-i didn't know." the man said looking at both the women scared.
He tried to run but was frozen solid by esdeath.
Erza then used her sword to smash him to bits.
Luz looked at them shocked. They were cold and merciless.
You have no hope of defeating them. A voice called, it was scratchy and luz didn't know where it came from.
I'm going crazy. She thought as erza and esdeath approached her.
Don't worry luz, I'm here and I am going to protect you. The voice said.
Luz's body went limp, she couldn't move.
"w-who a-are y-you?" she whispered, her body still.
It doesn't matter who I am or who you were… there is only what we will become… we are the darkness that drowns the light… we are greater then the moon and the sun… we are eclipse
"time to die bitch!" Erza said raising her sword to cut off luz's head.
"No!" a black inky spike shot out of luz shoulder scratching erzas cheek almost cutting her eye out.
The black ink spilled engulfed luz's body until she was only a black ooze that barely resembled her form.
"what is this?" Erza asked.
"You fool! You said you killed her with poison!" Esdeath screamed.
"I did! I used the black vial from the empresses vault!"
"you fool! She got that from the world with the superpowered mortals! She called it an alien symbiote… it's a suit that gives the bearer super powers and makes them almost unkillable."
The screeching from the maze showed that luz's body had become rail thin with gold eyes and a huge gaping maw filled with sharp white teeth and silver tongue. The symbol on her chest was gold and the symbol of the sun being devoured by the moon.
"we… are eclipse!" the creature roared charging at the two witches.
