The band member sighed. Julian looked at Myles. They had heard a lot so far about the talent show nearly being cancelled and now the bar was empty? Nog was probably the most worried out of the three of them just because of how close he and Vic were. Well at least there weren't any gangsters like last time!

"Vic closed down the bar last night." The band member finally admitted.

"How long for?" Myles was the first to ask.

"I don't know. He just sang through a few songs and then made an announcement about it. I thought it had something to do with your talent show but.."

"So where is he?" Nog asked, standing up going to look for Vic if he had to. Myles tugged on his sleeve and brought him back down again.

"He's gone to the doctors. He said he would be back later but he didn't say when."

"Is it that bad?" Julian sort of felt guilty for not spotting something sooner.

The band member looked around the three men. He smiled as he saw their faces. This put Julian at ease at least. Nog didn't calm however and became more tense and more tense as the silence prolonged.

"He's fine. I just suggested that he should see the doctor for a check up. It's nothing serious." He directed this mainly at Nog.

Nog breathed out as he said this. Julian patted him on the back.

"I'm sure the bar won't be closed for long." The band member was then called away by a stagehand.

Odo waited for Quark to walk away from the bar for a few minutes. He really wanted to know what was going on with Rom. Also if he didn't Kira would have a massive go at him. Quark walked away from the bar but saw Odo waiting for him so tried to get away from him.

"Go away Odo." Quark hissed in Odo's direction.

"I just wanted to talk to you about Rom. He seems down and I just wanted to see if you knew." Odo tried to put his point across.

"There's nothing wrong with him!" Quark finally stopped.

"You're his brother Quark. You should know more than anyone if he seems different."

"He doesn't to me."

"Have you said something to him about the talent show? Tried to put him off or something like that?"

"I only said to not get his hopes up."

"Well that should have done it!" Odo tutted in Quark's direction. He knew Rom was very sensitive, this could have easily set him off.

"He worries too much. Maybe you should put more confidence in him." Quark joked pointing his head over to Rom cleaning the bar.

"Promise me something." Odo suddenly thought.

"What?"

"Don't talk to him until after the show. It might make him feel a little better about it." Odo sort of smiled.

"Fine!" Quark threw up his hands as he got back to work.

Odo smiled as Quark walked away. At least they had finally agreed on something. That was quite an oddity with Quark or Odo. Kira seemed to be the only person who could agree with either of them. Mostly Odo though.

Sisco was waiting in his office for a message from Ross. Martok's fleet had won somewhere apparently according to Kira in ops. He could see the crew in ops were a little more at ease so hopefully it would be good news. Ross nearly always had good news. If it was from any other admiral then it would more likely than not be bad news. The door tinkled sensing someone was waiting by the door.

"Come in." Sisco said putting away what he was working on.

The door opened with Ezri on the other side. She smiled as Sisco welcomed her in.

"You look bored." Ezri smiled as she sat down.

"Waiting for a message. Ross likes to take his time checking over every detail." Sisco sighed, rubbing his forehead with his hands.

"He would be sacked otherwise." Ezri commented.

"And none of us wants that. Just wish he would hurry up and tell us." Sisco carried on moaning.

Ezri shook her head and rolled her eyes. Sisco might be the leading officer of the station but she was the only one who could somewhat diss him. True there was a line and she knew not to overstep it. A communication then came through to Sisco's tablet.

"Good news?" Ezri looked hopeful. She really wanted the talent show to go ahead.

Sisco looked down at the communication. He smiled a small smile but Ezri could still tell he was happy with the result. He then passed over the tablet for Ezri to look at.

"Matrok has won then?" Ezri read the communication from Ross.

"Seems so. Ross thinks that some other ships got involved and helped out." Sisco talked further.

"So…"

"So what?" Sisco questioned, raising his eyebrows.

"The talent show can go ahead. I mean if we're not needed in another place in space." Ezri waggled the tablet.

Sisco sighed further when she said this. The talent show had mostly slipped his mind until this point. As he hadn't seen Julian or Myles it hadn't been brought up. He was still making his mind up about exactly how he felt about it happening. He supposed if most of his team were looking forward to it then maybe he should look forward to it as well.

"Yes I suppose it will go ahead." Sisco nodded slowly trying not to get Ezri or the rest of the team too happy.

"I'll go and tell the rest of the team then." Ezri jumped to her feet, racing towards the door.

"Ezri." Sisco called her back.

"Yes sir." Ezri turned around with a guilty look on her face.

"Just calm down a bit. You might knock someone over!" Sisco chuckled.

Ezri nodded and carried on a bit slower out of the door but when she was past the office door, Sisco saw her sprinting towards the turbo lift. Sisco rolled his eyes as he got back to his work.

Kira was just exiting the Bajoran praying center. It had been quite peaceful and not many people had been there. It also gave her some time to clear her head. With everything that had happened over the past few days, she needed some time to herself for once! She then saw someone bounding over to her. She soon recognised who it was.

"You look happy." Kira chuckled as Ezri approached her.

"The talent show is going ahead. Martok doesn't need us anymore and we're free to do whatever we want." Ezri rubbed her hands together.

"Nice to know. Have you spinted from the turbo lift?" Kira looked back to where the turbo lift was.

"Doesn't matter. Got to go and find Myles and Julian." Ezri rushed past Kira towards the holosuites.

Kira stared after her friend as Ezri nearly face planted as she tripped on something. Before Kira could shout something after her, Odo came to join her. They both looked at each other and smiled.

"The talent show is going ahead then I take it?!" Odo went back to a serious face as people kept staring at him.

"Apparently so." Kira started to walk back to the ops.

"I talked to Quark about Rom."

"How did it go?"

"He just said they fell out. He's going to try and make Rom more happy but I don't know if it's going to work."

"Quark make someone happy?!"

"Don't look at me. That's what he said."

Kira kept back a snigger as they passed Quark's bar and she thought of what Odo had told her. Quark was talking quite loudly to Rom, so it looked like Odo's advice hadn't worked. Neither were surprised and the others on the promenade didn't pay any notice.

"Where was that blurr, that I assume was Ezri going?" Odo asked looking back to see if Ezri was still there but she wasn't.

"Going to tell Julian and Myles is what I catched. She was talking very fast!" Kira shrugged.

Odo shook his head. Ezri was a very nice person but she could sometimes be a little too engersied.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Ezri reached the holosuite where Vic's bar was. She nearly went head first into it thanks to her running so fast! She straightened her uniform out and then opened the door to go in.

The door opened onto the bar. It was very quiet which was a surprise but she soon saw who she was looking for. Myles, Nog and Julian were sitting at a table talking to each other and then looked over to her when she entered.

"Ezri." Myles was the first to talk.

"The talent show is going ahead. Ross said that we're not needed so we can still have the show." Ezri panted after running the whole way.

Julian stood up and gave her his seat as she continued to pant when saying something. He also had to check that she didn't pass out or anything.

"You guys don't look very happy. What's wrong?" Ezri tried to get her breath back.

"Nothing really. Just sad that the bar is quiet is all." Julian shrugged as he got another chair.

"I thought that. Where is everyone?" Ezri sounded somewhat concerned.

"Vic closed the bar down last night. He needed some rest for a bit." Myles repeated the things the band member told them.

"I thought you guys said Vic was alright." Ezri crossed her arms in therapist mode.

"He is." Nog nearly shouted.

"Nog! He's fine, just needs some rest and then we get straight into the talent show." Myles gave more information.

Ezri nodded at this response. She could sense the tension in Nog. Everyone loved Vic, especially Nog. No one wanted either Nog or Vic to be sad or ill. If Nog continued to stay so mad he might also get ill. She would have to keep a close eye on him for now.
