I do not own The Loud House.
Enjoy!
Lucy Loud shut the door behind her and walked down the steps.
Creeeeekk went the aged steps of the loud house.
She prayed for the noise to stop, she didn't want anybody to hear what was doing.
Here at the loud house, you couldn't get a moment of privacy unless your either doing something creepy or are in a creepy part of the house.
Once her shoes touched the cold hard floor, she clenched the book she held in her arms and opened it.
It was old, really old.
"It's so authentic looking," she said. "Why was this hidden away, when a book of this quality should be featured?"
She had never seen a book that looked this authentic in her life, it smelled old, the writing contained in it's pages was that typical very old language, there was even the classic warning signs and blood splats.
It looked so real.
She flicked through it and found the darkest spell.
Bloody rain.
Anybody but her would have stopped and put the book away, with each touch, Lucy felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.
They stood because of the powerful magic emitting from the pages.
But she pressed on and did as what was instructed.
She took out chalk from her pocket and began to draw a pentagram in the middle of the Basement.
"Step 2. Apply the chicken blood" she said.
She took out a bag of chicken blood that she got from Lisa's room because of course she did and began to pour it over the chalky lines.
"Step 3. Put blood and hair inside a bowl the summoner owns" she said, throwing the bag away.
She took out a small butter knife and her cereal bowl and cut a few strands of her hair and placed them into the bowl.
She moved the knife up and down across her finger until the redness became a small open wound and blood began to seep through.
She hovered her finger over the bowl and watched the blood drip down from it.
Drip.
Drip.
She didn't stop until she began to feel light-headed and put her finger in her mouth and took a step back, her saliva and the sucking motion she applied, helped to heal the wound to the point it no longer bled.
"Step four. Light the candles at each point of the Pentagram" she said, she got out the candle box she hid behind the washing machine and began to light each stick one by one, placing them at each point until all the points had one candle burning on it.
"Final step," she said. "Preform the ancient chant and dance"
She then began to read and follow the strange dance steps. "Hagdie ased kdhdi skhd shatn magno as cartooon (I call upon the masters of the Archworld. I offer my blood and my life in exchange for your help. May your divine wrath rampage through the world) Amen"
Silence.
Dead silence.
And then something happened.
The Pentagon lit up and the bowl in the middle of it began to dissolve before her very eyes.
Lucy's heart stopped when she saw this, within seconds the bowl had completely dissolved along with everything in it and the candles had gone out.
She waited.
Nothing happened.
"Phew. For a bit there I thought-" began Lucy but she didn't get to finish.
She heard a scream.
It was Lori's voice.
Lucy was running up the steps and kicking the door opened before her mind realised it.
Even though she felt like an outsider, she was still a loud and would come running whenever her siblings needed help.
In the Loud house bedroom doorway, she saw the fleeting glance of a yellow patterned skirt going down the stairs, everybody around the house had been summoned as well to Lori's aid.
However, they didn't have to look far.
Through the large window and under heavy rain, Lucy could still see the blond hair of her eldest sister locking herself away in Vanzilla.
But why?
Lucy ran out of the house, along with the rest of the family.
By the time she joined them, everybody was firing questions at the blue-tinted window of the van, however, Lucy began to realise her sold black outfit began to turn red.
No.
It wasn't turning red.
The rain itself was dying it red.
Lucy looked at her hand expecting to see cute and innocent droplets of water, instead, she saw her hand soaked in red.
Just like how it would be if you touched a pool of blood.
Blood.
Blood was rain down from the Sky.
"Blood Rain" she whispered.
And then the wind picked up, windows shattered, animals fled.
Then came the thunder.
A thunderbolt came down from the sky and struck a tree not that far from them.
But it was no ordinary lightning.
The tree light on fire before their eyes and then burnt to a crisp until there was nothing left not even the stump.
If the tree was a human being, they would have been killed.
And seeing the destruction the peaceful neighbourhood officially dissolved into chaos, everybody began running for their lives, trying to duck and cover.
The Loud family minus Lori, turned around and began to run back indoors, but a lightning bolt came down causing them all to back up.
Thunder, wind and blood rained down on the town.
Who knows what horror was next.
The weather seemed determined to kill them all.
Did she do this?
Did she cause this chaos?
Was this really what she summoned.
Who does she fix this?
Lucy realised she still had the book in her hand and flipped to the page, she quickly skimmed, her year's of reading strange old text was coming in handy.
She found what she was looking for.
'Once summoned. The Blood Rain is obligated to follow the casters wishes'
She took a breather and yelled. "STOP!"
Lucy, the quiet girl who barely anybody notices yelled, much to everybody shock.
However, what happened next was even more shocking.
The weather listened to her.
The rain stopped, the wind became calm and the lightning vanished.
Everybody turned to stare at Lucy.
She was noticeable once again.
However the dark clouded over their heads was still very much present, but they began to swirl and twist in two places and then when they moved down, forming two shapes.
A horned man and woman face.
They looked surprised.
Lucy and everybody else looked surprised to see them.
The woman opened her mouth and said. "This is our summoner? She's nothing but a child!"
"Age has nothing to do with bloodlust, my dear." Said the man. "She called upon us, so now we kill everybody in this town and beyond"
Everybody caught that and there was fear.
"No!" Said Lucy, speaking loudly wasn't easy for her but it was necessary right now. "This isn't what's supposed to happen. You're not supposed to be real. I found the book in the children section!"
Both of the all-mighty beings looked at her like she was growing a second head, while everybody else eyes were wide.
She had something to do with this?
"...so let us get this straight," said the woman. "You summoned us, thinking we were a joke book!?"
Thunder came down and people dodged.
"Idiot girl! Who are your parents?!" Said, man. "How do you not know, to stay far away from summonings? Do you think black magic is a joke? We should have been at home, instead were here and using up precious magic for a brat! How did your parents raise you?!"
Lucy's head dipped in shame.
Her parents stepped in.
"On behalf of the Louds, we would like to apologise on behalf of our daughter Lucy," said Lynn Senior, she could feel his strong hands on her shoulders.
"I'm sure your very nice people when you're not murdering somebody," said Rita Loud, her voice behind her. "Lucy will be punished appropriately and we will make sure this never happens again"
Even though they had no problems killing people, there was a ray of hope in this madness.
However.
"Of course's, it's never going to happen again," said the woman, before dropping a bombshell. "Well be taking your daughters soul"
Silence.
"Say what?" Said all the Loud family including Lucy.
"She offered up her soul," said the man. "We're not going back empty-handed. Our understanding can only reach so far. So either you hand the girl over, or well take her by force"
The weather picked up again and everybody almost got knocked off their feet.
"Wait! You can't take Lucy" Lucy heard but the wind in her airs made it difficult for her to pinpoint which sister was speaking. "She's a Loud!"
"Yeah. Take the soul of a tree or a pet instead"
Now, she know that was totally Lola and could almost feel Lana glare.
"No. It has to be a human soul" said the woman. "A human soul is the most important thing in this realm." Before she said. "If you can't offer us her's, we'll be more than to take anybody who volunteers to go in her place"
What?
Everybody face changed.
Lucy saw the people her family know for years, suddenly turn and act like they couldn't see what was happening.
Even Mr Grous, their old neighbour suddenly moved with the speed of man decades younger back into his house.
Nobody was willing to die in her place.
This was the true nature of humanity.
Lucy turned to her parents and family and found that everybody couldn't meet her eyes.
They helped each other out when a problem arose but they had never faced one where the only way out was to have somebody dead.
She looked down.
She always dreamed of living in darkness but never like this.
It was her fault, nobody forced her to go into the occult, she knew the dangers and yet she still played with dark magic.
"I'll go"
Suddenly that one sentence got through to her.
Who?
Everybody turned to the voice in surprise.
It was Lincoln!
Lucy's eyes went wide behind her bangs.
"I'll go in the place of Lucy," said Lincoln.
"You what!?" Said Lynn Senior, everybody shouted their own disbelief.
"Lincoln, are you nuts? This is my problem. I should face the consequences" said Lucy.
"But I'm your big brother and Big brothers bail their little sisters out," said Lincoln, stunning them all. "Everybody but me is so talented. You all know who you want to be growing up. I don't. I'm the most replaceable Loud in this house. If there is somebody who isn't going to see 20, then it should be me. Please take me instead"
Lucy was shocked.
Everybody was shocked.
Did he understand what he was seeing?
Did he understand the horror that was behind closed doors?
Lincoln doesn't do horror, she does horror.
"A young man who is related?" Said the man. "We accept"
"Now this is a fine young man." said the woman.
And then there was a blinding light which made them cover their eyes when it died down and they opened them again, they saw an open door, it's was pitch black but it screamed danger.
Even the pets fled into their homes.
And then to everybody horror, Lincoln stepped forward, he put on a brave face but Lucy could see the panic and fear.
Nobody could move so they used their lips instead.
"Lincoln! Don't do this!" Said Lori.
"Linky! Don't go!' Said Lola.
"Well, find another way, bro. Come back!" Said Luna.
"Lincoln..." Said Luan, not cracking her usual joke.
"Lincoln. You better not take another step! I'll hit you!" Said Lynn junior, struggling to break free.
"Lincoln...don't go," said Leni.
Lucy began to tune all of them out, everything seemed too surreal.
It should have been an episode of her favourite tv show but this was real life.
Her brother was really sacrificing himself for her mistake.
She wanted to shout to, to cry.
But it was hopeless.
Lincoln more than anybody should know how serious this was but he still chose to take the bullet for her.
Their eyes met and she was taken back to the time Lincoln took the blame when she flushed down her secret shame.
But this was far worse.
Lincoln smiled sadly at her and she didn't even know tears were running down her face.
He turned to the door and walked through it.
There was light and when it cleared, the power that stopped all over them from doing something, from grabbing Lincoln and running, left them.
But the aftermath was cruel.
Lincoln was gone.
Gone forever.
Lucy didn't hear the screams of the twins or the furious typing of Lisa on her machine.
Lucy dropped to her knees and yelled.
"LINCOLN!"
But Lincoln couldn't hear her.
He was unconscious but the hand cutting his body into pieces using a red marker was not.
And scene!
Wow, this idea just happened while I was writing. By the time I finished this one-shot, I realised this was a very unique Idea and I would love to do a chapter 2 but only if I have the support to continue. Review.
