"The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed." ~ Maya Angelou

As Reid made his way onto the Jet he paused for a second taking in the fact he was finally going home. JJ almost crashed into him if she wasn't so observant.

"Everything alright Spence?" JJ asked

"Huh? oh. Yeah everything's fine. Just cant wait to go back home." Reid said now moving into the jet and stretched himself out on the back seat. JJ followed suit and sat with him. Once everyone on the team settled down the jet took off. They had about a 4 and a half hour flight ahead of was thinking over the case and happy that the team had Both Reid and Garcia there to help speed things up. She heard about what Reid did to apprehend the unsub and was honestly impressed.

She let out a small chuckle and shook her head at her JJ who was was now stretched out on the seat with a smile on her face directed towards Reid, who was stretched out the other way. He crossed his ankles and gently rocked his feet back and forth, hitting her in the side. She twitched and giggled every time and he laughed softly and smiled at her reaction.

Emily never would've thought that Reid could flirt, especially the way he has been doing since his time back with the BAU. But then again, who besides him actually knew what his time over seas actually did to him, for better or worse. She snuck another look at their resident genius and he was now playing a game of chess with her Husband Hotch, who was sitting across from him and JJ.

Emily looked over at Garcia and Morgan who were busy doing something on her laptop. They were the BAU's now only unofficial couple, since JJ and Reid's relationship was out of the bag. Them two were probably the only couple who were perfect for each other, and yet couldn't be farther apart. Derek was a playboy, flirting with a different girl every month, whereas Garcia was tech savvy, the best of the best, yet they were completely in love with each other. If Emily had to admit to herself, they were both the biggest flirts they knew (aside from Reid now apparently). it was hard to understand that they were not a couple when they acted like it all the time. They were best friends and very close, but alas, were not dating

"Thinking of something important?" Rossi said joining her in a seat.

"Nothing particular." Emily replied.

"Let me guess, about those two love birds right there." Rossi said pointing to Reid and JJ. Emily looked kinda surprised. "Come on Emily my dead grandmother could see the chemistry between those two, even more so now with this new Reid we picked up." Rossi chuckled.

"He seemed all business when he showed up at the precinct in Dallas." She pointed out.

Emily gave him a look. "I'm a profiler, Rossi. I know what to look for."

"Do you?" He shot back.

She hesitated before admitting softly, "Ok, fine, it threw me for a loop when I saw the way those two were acting at the Chinese restaurant last night."

Dave smiled and patted her arm. "You weren't the only one. Hotch didn't know whether to walk away and pretend he didn't hear their flirting, or call them out on it."

"Oh they were flirting alright. That much i can guarantee." Emily laughed softly.

Dave turned his attention to the couple. JJ was now reading one of Reid's books that he always keeps on the jet, her feet propped up on his chest. He had his left arm behind his back, supporting his head and his right hand was slowly stroking her calf under her jeans and she kept peeking at him over the book. He was listening to his ipod that JJ kept for him, even adding some of her own favorites doubting he would mind.

"You know what I don't understand?" Emily said softly.

"What's that?" Dave asked.

"She was perfectly fine being his friend. I mean, I know it was hard for her when Will walked out and she had to take care of Henry on her own. Well on her own until Reid decided to take over Will's role. He was right there, helping her every way he could to make her life easier yet she never made a move. Then he gets transferred for three months and comes back and now he's back and it's like she can't get enough of him." Emily said

"Absence can make one's heart miserable," Dave pondered, "She saw what it was like to not have Reid in her life, even for a short time. And hated it. She probably didn't realize how much she had come to depend on him. And/or wouldn't admit it."

Emily studied Rossi. "Are you ok with that?" She asked

Dave nodded. "They are good for each other. They complement one another and bring out the best in each other. I'll tell you one thing. she doesn't look like she's letting him go anytime soon."

"Imagine if it was just them on this jet." Morgan announced behind Emily

Garcia slid into the seat in front of Rossi. "I'm surprised she didn't jump him the second they locked eyes back in Arizona."

"Probably took all her willpower and the thought of an angry Hotch if she did." Rossi said with a grin.

"Where's this coming from, though?" Morgan was intrigued now.

Garcia looked at her chocolate god. "Seriously? You haven't seen it?"

Morgan just shook his head. "Seen what?"

Garcia sighed and looked at Emily. "And you call yourself a profiler."

Morgan exchanged confused looks with Emily. "Oh you've got to be kidding me! How haven't you noticed how much JJ has been been in love with Reid?! It's been months! Years even." Garcia said in a shocked voice.

"Yeah, but she got together with Will back on that case in New Orleans, then they had Henry." Morgan pointed out.

"You've never been with someone else? Someone you know is safe, instead of putting yourself out there?" Garcia asked sharply.

Emily grinned when Morgan started to stutter tryin to defend himself. "This is not about me," he finally said.

"My sweet piece of dark chocolate, they have been into each other for as long as I can remember. But rather than act on it, they chose to let it go and be just friends." Penelope explained.

"But they went out on a date! JJ told me she and Reid went to a Redskins' game." Emily chipped back in.

"They did, but Reid said she just wanted to be friends." Morgan said.

Emily threw her hands up in the air. "Ok, now I'm more confused then ever."

"Let's say there have been a lot of reasons not to go for it and leave it at that." Rossi finally said.

"That still doesn't explain why she picks now to be all over him." Morgan insisted.

"Think about it, Morgan. As soon as Will left, Reid was there. He jumped right into the role of the supportive best friend and took over practically all of Will's duties as father. They're both super attached to each other. Reid and Henry." Emily stated.

Morgan nodded slowly. "Remember a month ago when me and you Emily were at JJ's house for lunch? When Henry asked the whole two daddys question." Emily nodded. "Well, right before i went to get ready for the park i noticed Henry point at the same photo and and made a sad face." He demonstrated, getting a smile from Emily and Dave. "He then told her 'I miss Uncle Spence.'" using his fingers as air quotes for what Henry said.

"Aw." Emily said, placing her hand on her chest.

"Poor JJ. That must have been a shot to the heart." Garcia mused.

Morgan nodded. "She looked about as sad as Henry did after hearing him say that. If not sadder."

"It's hard when a parent is away." Hotch said this time now joining the ever growing group.

"Hey Hotch." Emily said to her husband.

"Hey." He said softly, placing a soft kiss on his wife's head before standing beside her.

"What were you saying about a parent being gone?" Dave asked.

"Reid is the closest thing Henry has to a father. And he came in right as Will was leaving, so he probably just directed his feelings for his father to Reid. He acted just like Jack does whenever I tell him I have to leave for a case." Hotch explained.

"So, then, Hotch. What are you going to do? I mean, Reid's back with the BAU, but clearly, they're in a relationship." Rossi asked.

"JJ technically isn't apart of the BAU, just an agent and media liaison. Also there technically is no rule in the FBI handbook that forbids a relationship between two people in the same department. so there's no rule breaking there. And for better or worse. Reid does seem to have a new outlook on life since returning from his transfer."

"But do you think they'll hide their relationship?" Garcia asked, watching the couple. They were not laying next to each other, cuddling. They were both sharing the ipod and JJ's head was resting on Reid's chest and he was holding her with both arms. They were talking softly and by the looks on JJ's face, it was a pretty funny discussion.

"They've proven they can keep it professional while on a case. When we get back home, I'll talk to them about PDA. If they don't gross everyone out-"

"'gross everyone out'?" Emily interrupted with a laughed.

"-then I don't see a problem with it." Hotch finished with a grin.

"And what about Strauss?" Morgan asked.

Aaron rolled his eyes before saying "It's. My. Team."

Emily chuckled and looked back over at the couple. They both had their eyes closed and seemed to be sleeping.

"I'm happy they're together. This job is hard enough, having some happiness in it doesn't seem to be a bad idea." She decided. And no one was going to argue.
