Author note: At this point, I don't care about the floods telling me to right a story about the Louds being nice people. I just don't see it, and it still hasn't changed even after the Loud House movie.
Also happy 24th Birthday to me.
I do not own Loud House.
Enjoy!
Lincoln Loud did not plan to tell his family that he was in contact with his other parents now, and he especially never planned to ask anybody to help him.
He already felt really bad about doing it.
When he woke up and went downstairs, he looked at his sister Lucy and the genius 4-year-old gave him a look that said 'I know what you did last night'.
He looked away.
He couldn't look anybody in the eye, but thankfully there was never a moment to breathe in the morning's when it came to his family.
However, when he walked through his Homeroom at school, his teacher said. "Lincoln, the Principal wants to see you"
Huh?
He blinked, this wasn't what he expected to hear this morning.
Everybody in class blinked as well.
"Why?" He said.
"You should ask the principal that," said his Teacher, keeping it hidden from him so he doesn't freak out.
He gave her the eyes, before turning around and then heading to the principal's office.
He walked to the door and remembered every time he had touched this door and what kind of man the principal was.
Wilbur Huggins wasn't a very happy man.
He entered the place and saw the secretary who told him to go right through the door.
He entered the office and the first thing he noticed was not the environment but the unknown lady, with curly ginger hair with a clipboard standing next to the principal.
Who?
"Ah, Lincoln. Please sit down" said Principal Huggins, before saying uncharacteristically. "Candy?" He took out a bowl of confiscated candy from yesterday.
Lincoln looked at the man and then looked at the window to see if the sky was turning purple.
It was still blue.
Seeing his reaction the man pulled on his collar awkwardly before Lincoln thankfully sat down.
"Lincoln...do you have any idea why you were called here?" Said the man.
"Is this about the bike?" Said Lincoln. "I'm really sorry about that. I've made sure to have that bike on lockdown from now on"
But the man said. "Well, I'm glad to hear but we weren't called here for the bike"
He gave a confused look back.
And then the man dropped a bombshell and said. "Lincoln, why haven't you been eating?"
"What?" He said.
"My staff have noticed that you aren't eating," said the man. "Is something going on at home? Are they not feeding you?" Before he said. "Lincoln this is a social worker from the government. The school is very concerned when a student is not eating."
And Lincoln looked at the woman in shock, she was an existence that scared every parent.
"Lincoln, it's okay if you want to talk privately without me," she said. "We just want to know if everything is alright at home"
"Wait. Nothing is going on at home" he said. "Sure, we had a spat but what family gets along 100 per cent of the time? The reason why I haven't been eating is because I can't physically eat"
Both of them stared at him.
The woman began to scribble down on her board.
"Lincoln, everybody needs to eat." Said the man. "Your body needs to eat."
And Lincoln snapped and said. "Well, mine doesn't because I'm an Archwood"
And the moment he said that Lincolns's eyes grew wide because it was the first time he had ever said that he was an Archwood to himself or anybody else.
But it was either that or the school was going to have him undergo therapy or have his parents persecuted.
Meanwhile, both adults turned to stare at him.
"What's an Archwood?" Said the man.
For the first time, the woman seemed to truly be listening to him.
Lincoln sighed and said. "I didn't want to tell anybody but Clyde this, but remember when the weather got bad mysteriously out of nowhere and red droplets started raining from the sky?"
The woman turned to look at the principal since she wasn't there for this but the man certainly knew what he was talking about.
"Well...that weather was actually caused by my little sister Lucy," said Lincoln, stunning both of them. "She accidentally summoned some real demons and they caused that weather and they would have killed everybody. However, when she managed to stop them by admitting her mistake, they were pretty mad and said they wouldn't leave unless they have her soul or somebody else's. So I offered up my soul in exchange for hers and walked through a door. The next thing I know, I have horns and wings and I have new parents. I had become a magical demon. My new parents allowed me to go back home and that's where I got the bike from and the new clothes"
He finished his explanation and saw the adults stare at him.
And then they blinked and blinked again.
"What an amazing imagination," said the woman.
"Lincoln, you don't have to lie-" began the man and then his tie suddenly went up in flame and it appeared around Lincoln neck a second later.
Both of them stopped and stared.
Lincoln did it again with the man's coffee mug.
The blue mug burst into flames and travelled to Lincolns hand.
"Look outside," he said.
And both of them did and witnessed the Car version of 'which hand is the coin in', flames swapped the cars, and a teacher was passed out in the middle of it.
Heaven only knows the reactions of the students who can see the carpark.
Lincoln snapped his fingers just for show even though he didn't have to and all the cars went back to their normal places like nothing happened, without a single burn mark at all.
"Do you want me to show you more?" He said as the two adults turned slowly to this child that was not normal.
They both sat down slowly.
Lincoln explained. "As an Archwood, I only need 2 hours of sleep. I can't physically eat because instincts stop me. I haven't bathed or brush my teeth because everything either melts or evaporates whenever it gets close enough. So please don't blame my parents, they've been trying to make me feel normal. But I'm not, I'm trying to fix myself"
"Fix yourself?" The woman suddenly spoke up. "Lincoln, your body isn't something to be ashamed about. Your a minority"
"Say, what now?" Both man and boy said.
"A minority," she said, at least she understood this part. "I don't really understand the full story but by law, you'll be classed as a minority. If you need anything special, this school is obligated to go the extra mile to provide. You may even fall into 'protected species' too." Before she said. "The Loud family isn't in trouble, their looking after a minority"
"Wait. I'm not a minority" said Lincoln.
"So, there is no other Archwood in the district, then?" Said the woman.
"Well, I don't think so," said Lincoln.
"Than your a minority," she said before she said. "Now, what is the Loud Family legally classed as? A Foster family, a friend of your family or your adopted family?"
"Wait. What do you mean by all of that?" Said the man.
"Well by law, since Lincoln doesn't share blood ties with them, the title of birth family goes to his new parents," she said.
"Wait. What?" Said Lincoln, whose eyes were growing round.
"This is the law and your blood-related parents need to send some kind of message or letter to the district soon. This is to make sure the police have no grounds to think this is a child kidnapping story," she said.
"But they're my parents!" Said Lincoln.
"Yes, but unless you magically share your former family blood, legally you said it yourself you're an Archwood," she said, stunning both of them. "Your blood parents have to either give up their rights to you or the district finds them incompetent as parents. If your Blood parents came forward, with no problems on their end and say to the police that the Loud family refuse to let you leave, the police have every right to remove you from that home and charge the Loud parents with child abduction"
Both males stared at her in shock.
She can't be serious.
But she was dead serious.
The law didn't care for his emotional attachment, the law was built on blood relation unless they were unfit for some reason.
And Lincoln knew his relationship with those people won't cause alarm for the government.
They had done nothing but help him out and gift him nice things.
Indeed if a child was staying at a house for days where the parents never approved of them being there, this would be a kidnapping case.
"But they're good people. You can't arrest them." Said Lincoln before his eyes became flames and he said. "I won't let you"
However, she was not intimidated and said. "This isn't up to you. This is up to your blood parents. Do you intend to break the law?" And his eyes returned back to normal and she said. "You blood parents need to write to the district and then the government has no problem letting you stay at the Louds house as long as there's a wellness check done every week. And legally, the Louds are allowed to give you gifts, however anything like college tuition will fall on the heads of your blood parents, your last name will also become your blood parents last name unless they say so until you turn 18 and then you can legally change your name but until then your blood parents can pull you out of that house at any time"
And then she said. "Can you honestly say to me, that you can prove to the government you are related to the Loud family? If you can, we can forget about this legal talk."
Lincoln mouth opened and closed.
"Lincoln, I know this is hard but the law is the law," said the principal. "I can see this is too much of a shock to you, so you're allowed to go home and process"
And Lincoln, on auto-drive, stood up and then walked out of the door, he walked out of the school and walked home.
And then he walked into the house and sat down on the couch.
He sat there for hours.
Hours later his family found him and we're understandable worried because he wasn't responding at all.
His mind finally rebooted itself when his parents came home.
He suddenly took a deep breath and his voice spewing nonsense before spewing. 'you can't do this!'.
"Easy, son. Breathe" said his dad.
"That's just it. I'm not your son." Said Lincoln shocking them all.
The man looked hurt.
However, he took more deep breathes before he explained to the family, the life-changing issue that had come up.
It was one of those rare times that the Loud House fell completely silent.
Everybody finally yelled "WHAT!"
"They can't do that! We had your first!" Said Lori.
"Once a Loud. Always a loud!" said Lana.
Lincoln was so touched.
"Actually guys, as far as the world knows there are now only 10 Loud members," said Lisa, moving her noses up his nose and shocking all of them, as she pulled out a law book and said. "We can deny it all we want but the truth is Lincoln no longer has Loud Blood and that's all the law cares about. Unless his other parents are found to be on unfit, we can do nothing about it. They have to give permission for him to be here or give up their rights but then he would go to another blood relative. If we go against this, we'll be in serious trouble with the law."
Then she said. "And Lincoln being the only white-haired child in this family, really doesn't help our case. And now that the law knows that there is no 11th child, I'll give it a week or two before the government cuts Lincoln child benefit from us"
And everybody mouth was open.
"And from now on, we'll also have to run it by his blood parents if we were to do something big with him like our planned family trip," said Lisa.
"Lisa. Are you saying we have to report back to those demons, now!?" said Lynn Senior.
Everybody in the house including Lincoln had been planning to ignore their existence and now they were finding out their parents could be arrested if they don't include them?
"Unfortunately yes," said Lisa seeing the horror on their faces.
"Nobody likes it but if Lincolns other parents tell the police, we kidnapped him, we are screwed," she said before she said. "And if I were you, I would be calling them right away and trying to see if you we can get them to give up their right or at least use their lack of human knowledge against them"
Everybody looked enlighten.
"That's right, dudes," said Luna. "There's still a chance"
"However, how do we connect them?" Said Lola.
Lisa turned to look at Lincoln.
Everybody did.
Lincoln sweated.
She said. "Either you bring it down or I tell them myself"
Which caused him to say "Fine" before he went upstairs and then came downstairs with his mirror.
Everybody face changed seeing this mirror.
He put it on the wall in the dining room while his family watched with shocked eyes as he said, with gritted teeth. "Call, Parents"
The mirror came to life and the whole family saw the man and woman in more solid form instead of clouds, for the first time.
"Hey, Sweetie." Said the woman. "Ready to do homework, again?"
The effect was immediate.
"Homework?" Said Lola.
"Sweetie!?" Said Rita.
Lincoln cringed.
"Oh, wow. The human family you're staying with is behind you" said the man.
Everybody's face changed.
"Can I ask you two something?" He said.
"Go ahead, sweetie," said the woman while enjoying Rita Loud's face was going red.
Only she can call him sweetie!
"You see..." Lincoln mumbled. "we ran into this problem... where I could get removed from the house,"
"Yes..." said the man.
He then finished quickly. "So, I was wondering if you can write a letter giving permission to have me here"
Silence.
Dead silence.
"Well, we don't see any problem," said the man.
Everybody breathed a sigh of relief.
And then Lincoln said. "And also, can you write something like make my family my god family in case something happens and then you leave me here so that they can have me for the rest of my life?"
And everybody behind him smiled awkwardly.
However, they were met with silence.
Dead silence.
Suddenly both of them burst out laughing.
Everybody smiles turned to frowns.
"Sport, are you actually serious?" Said the man.
"We own your soul. Why should we hand over blood rights?" Said the woman. "What could the loud House family possibly have that can outdo us?"
"I'll tell you," said Lucy speaking up. "It's love. Yes, even I, whos soul is black love, Lincoln. You just see him as property, while we see him as our one and only brother and it doesn't matter what body he's in"
They all agreed.
And Lincoln smiled and said. "And I'll pick my human family over you any day"
Silence.
"Oh, really?" Suddenly the man. "So why did you call us to check your homework last night? Weren't your parents in the house?"
And just like that, the air changed.
"Lincoln...what is he talking about?" Said Lynn senior.
Everybody was looking at Lincoln.
Suddenly Lincoln began sweating as everybody looked at him.
"Oh, you didn't tell them?" Said the woman. "I believe your friend Clyde, called us 'The parents, your sisters can't get to'."
Everybody mouth was open including Lincoln's own.
They had heard that!? Lincoln thought with panic.
"Did you honestly think we would let you walk away without some way to check up on you?" Said the man. "We were quite surprised to hear your rant about your parents never having the time to do your weekly homework. You ranted about how your homework is always filled with mistakes because your sisters always get to your parents first so you don't even bother coming to them. What's the use of amazing weekend homework, if the rest of it is trash?"
Everybody eyes were wide.
"It was a good thing you called us, Sweetie," said the woman and like a true Demon, she was, she said. "Your previous weekly homework was just terrible." And then she said to her husband. "It takes a certain level of selfishness to only help your child on the weekends. There are 11 kids in the house, how can the Loud parents not know kids get assigned homework that is due in the same week? Even we know that and we haven't been to class in centuries or do they just not care because he's the only boy in the house? It's really a shame, Lincoln could easily be a straight-A student if his parents just kept it in their pants after him, then there won't be so much chaos."
The man said. "It speaks volumes if a child has to go behind his parents back just to ask two demons to help him do his homework because even he is tired of his parent's stupid decision to have more kids that would screw him over in life. I guess their brainwashing didn't entirely work on hi-"
Lincoln switched them off fast.
But the damage was already done.
He turned around and saw nothing but hurt eyes and tears, especially from his younger siblings.
There was nobody better than a demon who can turn smoke into a full-blown fire and they did just that.
There was a fire in the house.
And scene!
