Chapter 24: Happy birthday Lilith.

I see you have come back for another chapter of the harem anime owl house… thank you and I am sorry for the cringe. "Happy Birthday Lilith!" Luca exclaimed standing at the edge of the bed he and Lilith. He had let her sleep in seeing as how it was her special day.
She shot up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.
Luca held out the tray which contained a glass of appleblood in a cup holder, a plate of boiling isles waffels, griffon eggs sunnyside up, and four strips of ironback bacon… lilith's favorites.
"Oooh, my sweet prince. Breakfast in bed, how thoughtful." she said on the verge of tears luca placed the on her lap and began rubbing her back which always made her happy.
"Oh, go a little lower, that area is where I carry a lot of my stress." She instructed her mouth full of egg.
"anything for you my angel, it is your day." Luca replied smiling as lilith moaned with joy as she took another bite of his breakfast. "speaking of which I got you these."
Luca reached from under the bed and revealed two wrapped up presents.
"Breakfast and presents, you spoil me Luca." Lilith replied blushing.
"You're worth It lilypad."
Lilith tore open the presents and smiled to find a box set of trashy romance novels from her favorite author.
"are these the latest releases?"
"fresh off the presses."
"You're the best boyfriend a girl could ask for."
"Open the other one." Luca indicated the present.
Lilith did so and gasped in surprise when she opened an old book with ancient runes on it. "is this a Luwell Hawksward first edition grimoire… where did you find this? They were supposed to be extremely rare."
"it wasn't easy but I happened to be using oracle magic to find it and when I did I bought it from the guy selling and brought it here for you. I know you said you wanted to read a first edition and so I thought what would be a better birthday present?"
Lilith finished her breakfast and gave Luca a hug then she kissed his lips, her arms around his neck. "come to bed, I want to give you a present." she whispered his ear then she proceeded to take a nibble making luca shiver.
Luca kissed lilith back and placed his hands under her leg and lifted her up. "I don't need a present and I am still uncomfortable with nudity but how's about you get ready for our date… dinner reservations are at one and it is ten thirty-five right now."
Lilith's eyes opened wide. "why did you let me sleep in so late, we need to get ready."
"I liked watching you sleep, you're almost as beautfiul asleep as you are awake."
"You charmer." Luca took lilith to the bathroom and then left before she undressed. The boy got his best suit on and was met at the door by luz.
"hey lulu what's wrong?"
"Luca, we need to talk… about mom."
Luca froze in place. "Not today Lulu, please not today… we'll talk about this tomorrow, but I can't think of that right now."
Luz sighed and turned her back to luca as she walked away and heading down the stairs.
Lilith left from the bathroom dressed in her best dress and wearing a new pair of heels she had gotten. "How do I look?" she asked luca who was watching her.
"as beautiful as the day we met." Luca walked to her and kissed the back of her hand.
Lilith was still flushed as she was unused to being so loved by someone who wasn't her family.
"Now, my dear, I think a little ice cream will do us good while we wait for our reservation." Luca held out his arm and smiled.
Lilith took it and hung there as they made their way out of the owl house.
"Bye Luca and Lilith, have fun on your date and no sex!" Hooty called as they walked off making the two witches blush.
Lilith and luca entered the ice cream shop and luca bought him and lilith a large float to share. He handed lilith a straw and they began to sunk on the ice cream. It was liliths favorite flavor strawberry and that just so happened to be luca's favorite as well.
While they were drinking someone entered the shop that the two remembered four someones.
Juno, minerva, and their daugthers entered shop noticing Luca. They made their way to him.
"Hello my lord, how are you doing this fine day." Juno asked not looking at Lilith.
"I'm fine, and please it's just luca… I'm no ones lord."
"yeah, besides he's too cute to be some stuffy old lord… he's a prince." Minerva replied an easy smile coming to her lips.
"Mom!" Skara replied, covering her red face. "so embarassing."
Lilith meanwhile clenched her fist under the table almost drawing blood until Luca placed his hand on hers and she calmed.
"Well, that is a very polite thing to say… but I'm with my girlfriend right now, it's the day the titan blessed us with her angelic presence, isn't that right lilypad." Luca cooed giving eda a cocky grin.
Lilith meanwhile melted with his compliments as she began to grow red.
"Well I won't keep. We just came to say our thanks for reuniting us with our daugthers. If it wasn't for you we'd never see them again and no child should be without their mother." Minerva said, taking Skara to the stand along with juno and boscha following.
No child should be without their mother. The words echoed in luca's mind and each time he repeated in his head it felt like another knife entered his heart.
"luca, my sweet prince are you okay." Lilith asked noticing Luca's deep depression.
"I'm fine lilypad, I just think I got some brainfreeze that's all." He replied after they finished the ice cream and kissed Lilith hand. "let's work up an apetite for lunch by going on a leisurely walk through the park."
"Okay, how's about a jog." Lilith asked, hoping that luca would get a chance to see how fit she was… she knew that some men like their women to be atheletic and she wanted to cover her bases,
"whatever you want lilypad… anything for you." Luca and lilith took a silent walk to the local plant magic maintained park. They entered it and did a brisk jog for three laps. They kept up with each other and by the time they were done they were both sweating.
Lilith was out of breath and luca's mind had finally been taken off the fact that his mother was no more.
It was then they saw a boy crying behind a tree.
Luca walked up to him. "what's wrong little boy?"
"I lost my mommy and can't find her."He cried.
"we'll help you find her." He held out his hand and the little boy gingerly took it.
The kid seemed to calm down and Luca asked the boy plenty of questions of their kid. They spotted the woman and called to her.
"thelonius!" the woman exclaimed running to the boy.
"Mommy!" The boy cried back running to his mama.
They embraced in a tearful reunion.
"Mommy, I was s-scared, I thought I'd never see you again." The boy said through his sobs.
"It's okay sweetie, mommy is here… and she always will be."
Luca felt sick to his stomach. Watching the woman and her son reuniting made his very heart pound against his chest.
"you did a good thing luca… I guess that is just your big heart." Lilith commented smiling at the reunion.
Luca heard a bell in his head indicating it was time for him and Lilith to make their way to the restaurant.
The walk to the restaurant was a quiet one. Luca was left to his own mind as he thought about everything he heard.
I was s-scared, I thought I'd never see you again
it's okay sweetie, Mommy is here… and she always will be.

"Luca?" Lilith asked shocking the boy out of his train of thought.
"Huh, Lilith, I'm sorry I'm just having an offday… got a lot on my mind."
"do you wanna talk about it?"
"I don't want to bother you on your special day… let's get you a nice meal."
"okay, but just so you know I would never think of you being a bother."
Lilith and Luca sat down in a booth and looked at the menu. Lilith ordered a healthy meal full of food and Luca ordered a bowl of soup, a glass of local soda, and a side of sliced potatos which on the isle where purple and black things that tasted like cinnamon if it was stronger then a pro wrestler.
Luca let all the excitement of the last couple months numb him to the fact that his mom was gone and she was never coming back. He didn't want for it to be over… he was too young, too scared to be without his mom.
Luca watched as a woman and her son about the same age as luca were having dinner.
"thank you for taking me for dinner, Atreus." the witch woman said as her son pulled a chair for her.
"anything for you mom… it is your birthday." Atreus sat across from her.
Birthday… her birthday is coming up. Luca felt his eyes water.
"I need to be excused, give me a minute." Luca rose suddenly and ran to the bathroom. Luckily It was a single person stall as Luca locked the door and placed his back to the wall and slid down down. He curled up into a wall and wept… openly and uncontrollable. He couldn't contain himself or stop. Once he was down he cleaned himself up and wiped his face.
The boy returned to lilith to find her eating their dinner.
"Oh luca, this steak is to die for… here try it." She extended her fork with a bit of her meal on it. "are you okay? You look sad? Did someone hurt you?' she said the last bit with her teeth grinding.
"No, it's just I slipped and fell… enjoy your supper lily pad."
They returned to the owl house in time for lilith's surprise party as she had a great time… while luca sat in corner and drank appleblood. They partied well into the night when it came time to go to bed luca and lilith retired.
"Luca, today was wonderful… I love everything you did for me." Lilith said already covered up as she was reading one of her trashy new novels.
"yeah, I enjoyed hanging out with you two lilith." Luca looked at the bed and the thought of his mother tucking him.
"come to bed luca, I want to cuddle." Lilith said in a lonely voice patting the empty side of the bed.
"actually lilith, I'm going to sleep in the closest where luz is sleeping… I'm feeling sick and don't want to infect."
Lilith looked disappointed but then smiled at luca with an obviously hurt expression. "Okay, I love you."
Luca took a step toward the door and before he opened it he thought of his mom being stabbed by erza.
Take care of luz, mijo.
Everything you love is going to die.
"I know lilith, goodnight."
Luca closed the door and left a sad lilith behind as the lights shut off.
