Chapter 1: Celebrating Sentaro Kotsubaki & Kiyone Kotetsu's Birthday

Everyone was outside, helping with decorating for Sentaro's and Kiyone's birthday.

"Do you think they'll like the decorations, love?" Shunsui asked his lover.

"Of course. They like different things so we're going to mix them up. It's their day after all." Ukitake said as he smiled.

"Boy, I'm glad it's us alone over this spot. I don't want to deal with Captain Kurotsuchi's cruel rants today." Shunsui said.

"I have no idea he's still living in hate. Does his daughter know that she's dating a quincy?" Ukitake asked.

"Who knows. She's been private ever since she left her captain's side. I feel like she's free to do whatever she wants." Shunsui said.

"I agree, dear." Ukitake said.

Shunsui grabbed his lover's chin as he turned to him and kissed his lips.

Ukitake blushed as he closed his eyes and kissed him back.

"Hey whoa! Careful babe, I thought we were keeping our relationship as a secret?" Ukitake asked.

"Nanao and Rukia accepts it. Besides Izaya does too." Shunsui as he licked his lips.

"Well yeah, he's out and proud. He's unapologetic to be himself." Ukitake said.

"Look honey, sooner or later we're going have to come out to everybody some day." Shunsui said.

"You're right dear, we'll get to it." Ukitake said.

Shunsui smiled as he kissed his lover's cheek.

Everyone was all done decorating as they waited for Sentaro and Kiyone.

"Ew! Ew! Ew!" Why do all of my clothes look like they're for five year olds?!" Kiyone said as she was throwing out some really old clothes she forgot she had.

She then heard a knock at the door as she stood up and answered it.

"Hey sis! Happy birthday." Isane said as she hugged her little sister.

"Hi! Thank you so much, sis! Hey can you help me real quick? I can't find anything to wear." Kiyone said.

Isane smiled as she walked in and looked at Kiyone's clothes.

"We should go shopping then. You definitely need new clothes." Isane said as she giggled.

"Yeah, no kidding. I forgot I had these. Oh well, I'll throw them out later." Kiyone said as she stood up.

Isane smiled as she handed her little sister a gift.

"For you. I hope you like it." Isane said.

Kiyone looked at it as she took the gift and opened it.

It was a golden snake bracelet.

"I hope you like….It was on clearance and- well-" Isane got hugged by her sister.

"I love it! Gold is my favorite color. Thanks so much, sis!" Kiyone said as she put it on her wrist.

Isane smiled, "I'm glad you love it! Ready for another surprise?"

Kiyone looked at her big sister as Isane put on a blindfold on Kiyone.

"Oooooh, will there be cake and pizza?" Kiyone asked.

"Yeah.~ And we hope the flavor is good too." Isane said.

"Awesome! Also, may I throw one slice of cake at Sentaro?" Kiyone asked.

Isane giggled, "As long it's a small piece, okay?"

"Yeah sure, sis." Kiyone said.

Isane walked her sister out to her party along with Rukia and Sentaro.

The two girls winked at each other as they already arrived at the party.

Izaya helped hold the door open.

Both Isane and Rukia walked out as they both took off the blindfolds.

Both Kiyone and Sentaro gasped at the decorations and gasped at each other.

"You!" Sentaro said.

"You also!" Kiyone said.

Then everybody jumped up and shouted: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SENTARO AND KIYONE!"

The two stepped back as they smiled big.

"Yo, this is amazing! Thanks so much!" Sentaro said.

"I love the decorations! Thank you all." Kiyone said.

"See? I told you they'll like them" Shunsui said.

Ukitake smiled at them as he hugged them.

"Happy birthday you two. I hope all is well." Ukitake said.

"Captain? Wait, you planned this? I thought Izaya was the master at parties?" Sentaro asked.

"He is. But we told him to take one day off, since he's now married. He can spend time with his husband. So me and my darling here went to the world of the living and brought party supplies" Ukitake said. Not realizing he called Shunsui 'My Darling.'

Both Sentaro and Kiyone gasped.

"Captain, did you just call Captain Kyoraku your 'darling'?" Kiyone whispered into Ukitake's ear.

Ukitake opened his eyes as his face turned red.

Shunsui put his hand on his shoulder.

"He sure did. We're dating, but can you two keep it a secret? We're not fully ready to come out yet." Shunsui said.

"I promise! Plus I support it, it's no big deal at all." Sentaro said.

"Yes. Congrats you guys." Kiyone said with a big smile." Kiyone said.

"Thanks you too. Now go have some food." Ukitake said with a smile.

"Awesome! Come on sis!" Kiyone said as she grabbed onto her sister's hand and they ran to get some cake.

Isane laughed as she went with her sister.

"Y'all want something to munch on?" Sentaro asked.

"Of course!" Rukia said as she smiled.

"Count me in." Renji said.

"We're in." Izaya said as he and Keigo gave Sentaro a thumbs up.

"Awesome! Let's go then." Sentaro said.

Everyone had food, cake, and played games. Yachiru broke the pinata as many candies came out of it.

Kiyone put some frosting on Sentaro's nose as she laughed.

Sentaro did the same as he also laughed.

They both took pictures as they were saved in a scrapbook.

"Honestly, I thought you were the master at parties. But I'm glad my captain was able to go out and buy the decorations." Kiyone said.

Izaya smiled, "Happy birthday. Yeah when he called and told me I was shocked. But I'm happy he did this for you and Sentaro."

Kiyone smiled, "And I keep forgetting that you're married."

Izaya laughed, "It's okay. Me and Keigo are trying to get used to it."

Kiyone giggled as she gave Izaya a hug.

Izaya hugged Kiyone and Sentaro back.

The party then ended as everyone headed back to their rooms.

Sentaro went to the movies with Rukia and Renji as Isane and Kiyone went to the mall to go shopping.
