Author's Note

Thank you so much for reading the Legacy of Myriad! Reworking this story has been a huge undertaking, and admittedly, it took a lot longer than I'd originally planned! Still, it's been a lot of fun, and I hope new readers have enjoyed the story while those who read the original enjoy the updates and edits!

For anyone who's curious, I'd started a sequel to this fan fic not long after I completed the first version of Legacy of Myriad. It was called White Knights of Althor and I never finished it, but AO3 readers can still find it posted on .

However, the writing is extremely outdated and I also no longer consider the events of that story to be canonical to this series. In fact, while I have no plans to do a rework of that story, if I did ever return to it, I'd rewrite it from the ground up using only some of the elements already established.

I'll be adding a note to the first chapter of that story at a later date mentioning this, but thought it would be a good idea to let everyone here know as well!

Anyway, thanks so much again and please don't feel reluctant to share your thoughts if you're so inclined! I love hearing from people and can only hope you're all entertained!

Legend of Zelda

A big shout out goes to Nintendo for creating this amazing series of games which, like its core characters, have stood the test of time and remained epic classics! I hope my story has done the Zelda universe a little justice in some way!

Soundtrack

Like so many authors, I listen to a lot of music while I write. For me, it aids the creative process, and I wanted to add this section for anyone curious to know what helped create the ideas for the events of this story.

So here's the "soundtrack" complete with links to youtube (AO3 version only) for anyone who'd like to hear the songs. I've also listed chapters and events with each that were inspired by them, so if you're someone who likes listening to music while you read, these might be good choices for creating the proper atmosphere.

Please note I do not hold any copyrights regarding this music! Sadly, I've been unable to locate the original artists of some of these songs for crediting, so if anyone knows more about the tunes linked, feel free to drop me a line!

The Goddess Appears Orchestrated (Artist Unknown)

This version of The Goddess Appears inspired most scenes related to Myriad and quickly became her character theme.

Zelda's Lullaby Orchestrated (Artist Unknown)

Naturally, this served as my Zelda's character theme, and also inspired several scenes between her and Link.

Ancient Hero (Remix) by Darkesword

Inspired most of Book Two's Chapter 11 - Nautical Mishap, and quickly became my Link's character theme.

Palace Temple Theme Remix (The Adventure of Link) by Plasma3Music Remixes

Any scene involving Dark Link as this served as his character theme. I personally found this remix perfect for inspiration too as it's chaotic enough to exemplify the brutal nature of Link's fights with his shadow.

Zelda Cinematica - Symphony Of Power by Sam Dillard

This became my Ganondorf's character theme, and was also what inspired the rework of Book Three's Chapters 17 & 18.

Zelda Cinematica - Dark Horizons by Sam Dillard

I listened to this one a lot while making plans for the rework of Book One, Mark of Wisdom, so I often think of it while listening now!

Zelda Cinematica - The Final Quest by Sam Dillard

This always makes me think of Book Two, Rise of Power, and was also helpful in writing the Dark Palace Chapters of Book Three.

Zelda Cinematica - Sands Of Fate by Sam Dillard

This one became my unofficial theme for Book Three, Heart of Courage, and was very instrumental (*cough*) in working on any scenes related to the Gerudo.

Ocarina of Time - Title Theme Orchestrated (Artist Unknown) /yElKCP-cz5U - Inspired the start of Book Two's Chapter 2 – Savior.

Twilight Princess – Hyrule Field Originally Composed by Koji Kondo

I could listen to this any time, but I'd be remiss not to say it was a driving force behind Book One's Chapter 12 – Paths United.

Twilight Princess – Lake Hylia Orchestral Remix by Rebecca Tripp

One of my absolute favorite songs in the history of ever! Inspired most of Book Two's Chapter 12 – Simple Solution, and of course just about any other scene related to Lake Hylia!

Goron Village Orchestrated (Artist Unknown)

The obvious driving force behind Link and Zelda's visit to the Goron City in Book One's Chapter 19 & 20!

The Lost Woods Orchestrated by The Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra

Best listened to during Link and Zelda's visit to the Lost Woods in Book One's Chapter 13 & 14!

Zora's Domain - Ocarina Of Time Orchestral by The Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra

This was a good choice for Book Two's Chapters 12 & 13!

Clock Town Theme Orchestrated - Zelda Majora's Mask by ClefferNotes

Helpful for writing scenes in Kakariko during Book One.

Zelda Skyward Sword - Fi Theme / Gratitude: Orchestra by ClefferNotes

Inspired the rework of Mira's discovery in Book One's Chapter 9 – Reminiscence.

Zelda: Wind Waker - Hyrule Castle Remix Orchestra by ClefferNotes

This awesome piece was helpful in several places, including Book One's Chapter 13 – Doorway and Book Two's Chapter 19 – Atonement.

Zelda: A Link to the Past - Dark World Theme Orchestra by ClefferNotes

The Dark World Theme is one of my favorites from the series, and this version rocks my socks! XD

Twilight Princess: Hyrule Field Orchestra by ClefferNotes

An amazing remix of Twilight Princess' Hyrule Field Theme!

Zelda: Breath of the Wild Music: Horseback Adventure by ClefferNotes

I can't say this one inspired any scenes specifically, but it deserves an honorable mention!

Zelda Breath of the Wild: Korok Forest - Orchestral Cover by ClefferNotes

Just a fun song for lighthearted moments!

Other Songs

Here Comes the King by X-Ray Dog

Will always be my favorite song to listen to during Book Two's Chapter 22 - Testament.

City of Gold by X-Ray Dog

This one was extremely helpful for writing the boss fight in the Temple of Spirit and also scenes from Book Three's Chapter 8 - Time Will Tell after Dragmire enters the Sacred Realm.

Mystic Knights by X-Ray Dog

This song is almost single-handedly responsible for scenes involving the Triforce in Book Three's Chapters 16 & 17.

The Odyssey by X-Ray Dog

Perfect battle song for Book Three's Chapter 12 – The Final Battle!
