Luca took in a deep breath. He had to be ready for this.

Luz had been stuck in her room for a week now and had barely eaten anything. Luca tried talking with vee but all she said was luz wouldn't talk with her.

Luca wrapped three times on the girls door.

"Lulu? It's me… luca… please open the door."

No answer.

"Lulu… I don't know why your upset but we can work this out together… open the door." Luca begged genuinely worried about his sister's mental health.

The door creaked open and Luca could see luz's face frowning and scared. "Lulu… is everything okay?"

"Go away." she said, her voice deflated.

Luca forced his way into the room, pushing his body against the door and opening it.

Luz scrambled back and went to her bed.

"Now, tell me, what's going on?" Luca asked walking up to the bed.

Luz stayed quiet looking away from him.

"Lulu, I'm here for you and I always will be. Don't shut me out." Luca placed his hand on Luz's shoulder.

"I am the empress…" she whispered under her breath.

"you're the what? What are you talking about lulu?" Luca was confused as he looked at luz/

"I'm the empress!" she exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

Luca froze as his body felt numb. "no, it isn't true luz… you're not her… you're nothing like her."

"I am, she's me from another dimension… I'm going to turn into her… I know it." Luz was panicking and went into a Fidel position.

Luca immediately wrapped himself around her and made sure to hold her tight. "you won't become her… you won't… I swear it."

"How can you swear that? I won't be able to control what I become…. I'm scared." Luz replied as luca held her close.

The boy kissed her cheek and gave her a hug.

"I promise you that I won't let that woman be your fate… you're my sister and I love you."

Luz's tears began to subside as she looked up at her brother. "really… you mean it."

"of course Luz… I know you and you're nothing like the empress… come here." Luca held her close and tightened his grasp on her.

Luz hugged him back.

The two siblings held each other close embracing in the dimly lit room. Unaware that grom was watching them overhead.

Fear… fear… glorius fear… both of them are rife with guilt… it Is almost time… just a little more preparation and then… I feast!
