Time skip, four months later
Danny POV
I looked outside from the mansion where I've been staying ever since I ran away.
It's been a few months since, and I'm glad Vlad took me in.
He didn't cast me away the minute he saw me after a few days, so he let me into his home.
I was happy to be with him; after all, he is like a father figure to me.
Vlad managed to change my phone number as well as changing schools. That is so I can never see Sam, Tucker, Jazz, or the A-listers ever again.
Vlad and I are, what you say, in a father-and-son relationship.
We play, talk, eat, and spend time together, unlike my biological father.
I honestly am disappointed in Jack. He's not an actual father that spends time with you. Furthermore, he's very abusive, and I got the scars to prove it.
I shudder in the memory when he 'accidentally' scarred me. It wasn't an accident, but no one believed me.
I'm surprised that Maddie or Jack haven't been arrested yet, not that I care for their health.
What can I say from the bottom of my heart honestly is that I hope they died. Hard and painfully...
Anyway, back to Vlad and I, we are playing some videogames until Vlad's phone rang.
I looked worried as he pulled out the call, and it was from Maddie.
She pleaded for his help since they didn't know where I was, haha to them, and she was crying to see me.
'Yeah, right...' I thought.
Vlad told them that he'll 'try' his best to find me and ended the call.
I gave out a smug, and we ended up laughing.
'What a great day...'
However, another phone call entered the silent room, and we grumbled.
He answered it, and it was from Jazz.
I was confused, but then, I heard as she was threatening Vlad to search for me.
I intentionally wanted to groan, but I didn't her to hear me, so I kept my mouth shut.
Honestly, I didn't want anything bad to happen to Jazz.
She didn't do anything wrong, but she ignored me most of the time. To top it all out, she didn't even bother to help me whenever I'm in trouble.
Sure, she would listen to me for a bit, but then, she would ignore me for something bigger.
Even if I'm her younger brother, she should've been there for me.
I snapped out of it a few moments later after I felt someone rubbing my shoulder.
"Daniel, is everything alright?" Vlad asked.
"Sorry, Vlad. I just had my mind wandered off as usual," I honestly replied.
He nodded, knowing that I tend to space off, and got up to get some hot chocolate.
I smiled as he left, knowing that he wasn't going to let anything bad happen to me...
Meanwhile
Phantom POV
I bit my lips as I searched through the town for the fifth time this day.
It's been four months, five days, seven hours, and one minute since Danny disappeared.
At first, I thought it was going to be just a phase.
However, what I didn't know was that he disappeared.
Some say he left town, others say he was killed, or he was just kidnapped by the ghosts.
I didn't want to believe any of it, but the evidence was something.
His stuff was gone as well as his money; nothing that he considered worthy was just taken.
'Why did I had to hurt him?! WHY?!' I thought, feeling utter guilt.
On the day he left, he confessed that he like me after a few months of our separation.
At first, I was shocked, but rage soon took over, and I slapped him.
I didn't mean it, but I did like Danny immensely, but now, I know I shouldn't have done that.
I punched myself every single day ever since he was gone.
Everyone began search parties; Sam and Tucker trying to call him, his sister going through a stress phase, and his parents crying out.
I didn't stop protecting the town 'though, but I did manage to close the Ghost portal.
Now, only ghosts, like Ember, Johnny, and Kitty, could enter, but they would help.
'Danny, where ever you are... I'm sorry,' I thought before flying away.
'Please, please be alright...'
