Emma POV

The sound of my phone ringing after being snoozed for the fourth time. I slammed my hand down on it, stopping the alarm and the annoying buzzing.

Groaning, I sat up tiredly. Rubbing my eyes, I glanced at my lock screen which was now full of texts.

'Em can u call'

'Hellloooooooo'

'Earth to emmaaaa'

'GIRL WAKE UP U HAVE SCHOOL'

'I WILL LITERALLY COME TO UR HOUSE AND POUR WATER ON UR FACE TO WAKE U UP'

I sat there scrolling through the many texts I had gotten from Izzy and Roxy. It all came rushing back to me and I shot up instantly.

"Shit shit shit." I muttered, hurriedly brushing my teeth. The one day I actually needed to be early. I looked at my phone again and noticed they were facetiming. I clicked join and their faces appeared on the small screen.

"Finally!' Izzy exclaimed, seeing me first. Roxy looked down at the camera from her makeup. "What took you so long!"

"You guys know I like to be early to everything but I don't need three hours to get ready for school!" I argued. I ran back into my room from the bathroom and swung the closet door open.

"What am I going to weaaaaar- Oh!" I exclaimed happily as I selected my outfit. "What are you guys going to wear?"'

"Oooooh! I didn't show you guys the other day but when Seth and I went school shopping, I had made a stop at the thrift store aaaaaanddd," she dragged on the word and she fumbled for something off camera, "Look!"

She showed off a plaid white and sage green dress to the camera and then gave us a full view of her matching crop top she was wearing. She was wearing a cropped white and sage green crop top, a greenish-brown cardigan, and a matching pair of ripped light jeans. Her makeup was quite simple, with some thick eyeliner.

"Done!" Roxy cried, setting her makeup brush down.

She propped her phone up and then stepped back to give us a full view of her fit. She was wearing a grey skirt that stopped mid-thigh, she was also wearing a pink long-sleeve shirt that was tucked into a belt right above her skirt. Roxy was also wearing a pretty silver necklace that matched her skirt that went down midway down her shirt. She had her hair down except for two clips, one light grey, and one light pink matching her outfit.

AN: Im rly not that into fashion lol so irdk why i went so descriptive and why i enjoyed it- someone help me lol, also make sure u pay attention to the outfits, they correspond with their miraculous btw

I finished brushing out my hair which was luckily not that messed up from sleep. I sat up from my desk, leaving my phone there as they continued chatting, and walked over to my mirror. I did a quick circle, checking myself in the mirror before calling to them "Fit check!"

I went back into the frame and started posing dramatically.

"No but seriously." I laughed, stopping the crazy jumping from pose to pose and let them see the outfit. I was wearing a black turtleneck, long-sleeved shirt that was tucked into a baggy set of light pink jeans. I had a rold-gold colored necklace which matched my long, dangly earrings. My makeup was some simple rose-gold eyeshadow, mascara, and lip-gloss.

After saying a quick goodbye, I hurried down the stairs, lugging the backpack I had just packed yesterday.

"Someone's excited for school." Dad teased.

"Well yeah." I mumbled, my mouth full of food.

"Emmaaa!" My mother complained.

"Sorry!" I apologized, swallowing the last of the omelette. I took in my surroundings quickly and noticed a person absent.

"Where's Louis?"

"I don't know, he said something about going to Ryders? I'm just glad he got himself up early." Marinette commented half-heartedly as she typed away at her phone. I made an O shape with my mouth.

"Well I'm going to go, Roxy and I are meeting up at Izzy's."

"Oh tell Chlo that I have that dress ready and made for that one event." I nodded. "Kay, have a good day at school! Love you!" Byes chorused from my family. My father came over to give me a kiss on the head and Hugo waved enthusiastically from his spot on the couch in the other room. Lucky duck didn't have school for another week.

"Bye!"
