Chapter 22

The Dark Gate is Completed? The Targeted Elementary School

"All right, attention class. I'd like to introduce you to our new classmate and friend. Usagi Tsukino just transferred to our school, so please let's all welcome her," the teacher said.

A lot of students were surprised to see the young pinkett in the same school with her, but what really surprised them was that she bore the same name as the Usagi she knew, while some started to take a liking to her. But they were also surprised to see that the silverette teen in the same school with her just standing with a calm look on his face,

"As for who I am, I'm Riku, Chibiusa Tsukino's older brother," the older boy said to the children.

"Wait a second, did you just call her Chibiusa, as well as say you're her brother?" a young boy with dark hair asked Riku.

"Hey, don't you realize it's rude to ask someone about one's relation to their siblings!? You'd better stop it right now!" snapped the young girl whose hair was tied in a bun in the back of her head.

"Ah, come on, I'm just curious!" the boy snapped back.

"Okay, you asked for it Kyusuke!" the girl said angrily, and was about to hit him when Riku stopped her.

"That's enough, you two. I don't think your teacher would approve of violence or teasing in this school," he said, when he gently took the girl's arm in his hand.

"Wait, what?" the boy called Kyuusuke Sarashina asked.

"Trust me, all it does is spread a bad atmosphere in this place," replied Riku.

"So, uh, Mr. Riku, why did you call her Chibiusa, instead of Usagi?" asked the girl who was called Momoko Momohara.

"Well, our parents were very busy, so they asked us if it was alright to stay with Usagi's parents. As for why I call her Chibiusa, well I kind of felt it was a more suitable nickname, than Usagi Jr," explained Riku, which made Chibiusa giggle.

"Well, okay then, but is it alright if we call your sister Chibiusa?" asked Kyuusuke.

"Yeah, would that be okay with your sister?" Momoko asked as well.

"I don't see why not, but you can call her by that nickname," replied Riku.

"Of course!" squeaked Chibiusa.

In Usagi's house, Luna, Artemis, and Riku were looking at a sleeping Chibiusa who had a towel on her forehead.

"Hmm… her fever seems to have gone done," said the light colored cat.

"And she looks like she was having a nice dream," agreed Luna.

Chibiusa's eyes slowly opened up to the smiling faces of her friends and soul brother.

"So, how do you feel?" asked the dark-colored cat.

"A little better," replied Chibiusa.

"I'm glad to hear it, Chibiusa," said Riku, who sat down beside her.

"You think I'll be able to go back to school tomorrow?" she asked curiously.

"You must think schools fun," replied Luna, as she and Artemis chuckled with each other.

Chibiusa was just explaining about her friends, when Usagi stepped into her room, followed by Sora and the rest of their friends.

"Hey there, so how are you feeling?" asked the blonde odango-twin tailed girl, and the spiky-haired brunette.

"I feel much better," replied Chibiusa.

"You might say that she's good as gold," added Riku.

"Really? That's good," smiled Sora.

"Sora's right, cause everyone's just come over to visit you," agreed Usagi.

One by one, everyone slowly entered Chibiusa's room with a few items to give to the young pinkett, as well as see how she was doing, which made her so happy that she thanked them all.

"And Chibiusa, a cute friend of yours came to visit you too," said Usagi.

"Hi Chibiusa. Hello Riku," Momoko said when she arrived.

"Oh wow, Momo! It's really you, and you're really here!" Chibiusa said happily, as she jumped out of bed, and ran to her side, accidentally sending the two cats flying.

"Hello, Momoko," Riku greeted with a friendly wave.

"So, are you over your cold?" Momoko asked.

"Yeah, I'm all better now. I'm so happy you came to visit," replied Chibiusa.

Riku nodded in agreement as the two girls giggled with one another.

"You know, when I look at you, I can see two best friends learning more about each other. You and Chibiusa remind me of some of my friends," he said.

"Oh yeah? Well your friends remind me of Momo a little," replied Chibusa.

"How about we play together again?" suggested Momo.

"Sure, how about tomorrow when I'm back at school?" asked Chibiusa.

"You'll never guess what we watched in class today," giggled Momoko.

As the conversation continued between the three of them, the others were so happy to see that she and Momoko were now best friends with each other.

"Yup, Even from another time, the magic of friendship lives on in her heart," said Sora.

Ami then looked inquisitively at everyone around her.

"Why is the Black Moon Clan after Chibiusa exactly?" she asked inquisitively.

This made everyone puzzled, until Roxas spoke up.

"I don't know Ami, but we need to find out why they're targeting her," he said.

'That night, in Juban Park, the wicked Esmeraude had now placed a dark henge upon it, when a man with silver hair appeared from beneath the ground and transferred his dark power into the henge making it even more powerful than before. As he did so, the trees in the park slowly started to wither and die, but at the same time, another dark henge was also radiating with darkness at Juban Public Elementary School by another silver haired man.

"All appears to be going well, Chiral," Esmeraude said to him.

"Yes, Master Esmeraude," replied Chiral.

"And what of your brother, Achiral?" asked Hyena.

"No problems there," answered the first brother.

"Good work. From now on no more confusing elaborate plans, they're not my style, and they've resulted in nothing in failures. With this exceptionally powerful dark henge, we will finish this task all at once," smirked Esmeraude.

"I agree, Esmeraude," chuckled Hyena.

Then he turned to the Boule Brothers.

"Now then, gentlemen, Esmeraude and I will leave the task eliminating Sora, Sailor Moon, and their pathetic friends, and the Rabbit's blood shall be spilled by both her hands as well as mine," continued the dark Keyblader.

"As you wish," replied the two brothers.

Esmeraude glanced back at Hyena, then out to the city beyond, as she believed that Prince Demande would be so proud of the gift she was waiting to grant him, once the world of the past was erased from her sight after bidding it farewell as her dark cold laughter echoed across the sky.

"AH! Now I'm totally going to be late," cried Chibiusa who was now rushing to school with Luna and Riku at her side.

"I know what you mean, but you're a bit of a heavy sleeper, even when Luna tried to wake you up, Chibiusa," replied Riku.

"You said it, Riku, It's sort of like deja vu with Usagi," agreed Luna.

"I hate being late," heaved Chibiusa, when they reached the entrance.

But the instant they arrived, they suddenly heard the sound of people angrily shouting at each other, making the young girl turn and look curiously ahead.

"What's that?" she asked.

To their shock and dismay, they saw Momoko, the teacher, and several students at the school fighting with each other.

"What in the world!?" Riku asked in shock.

"They're all out here playing, even though first period's already started," said Chibiusa.

"I don't think they're playing, all of them are fighting," countered Luna.

"You're right, but why are they doing this?" wondered Riku.

Chibiusa wasn't sure why, but when she looked, there was Momoko standing her ground against another boy, making her rush to her side.

"CHIBIUSA!" called Riku and Luna.

As they rushed after the young girl, Momoko and the boy were now having at it with each other, when she suddenly kicked him down to the ground.

"I can't believe you'd do that," shuddered Chibiusa, as Riku and Luna came to her side.

"If she wasn't controlled by the darkness, I'd say she'd be a fine martial artist," murmured Riku, who had a serious glare in his eyes.

"You want some of this?" Momoko asked furiously as she glared at Chibiusa.

This made her confused and afraid.

"I can't stand you, so you'd better back off! Don't expect us to be friends!" she snapped.

"Snap out of it Momoko! You're not a bully!" Riku said desperately.

"SHUT UP!" screamed Momoko, and swung her leg under Chibiusa who fell down.

"Serves you right," she giggled evilly, and ran off into the distance.

"Now I'm angry," grunted Chibiusa.

Luna was surprised and confused, until she and Riku noticed the darkness coming from the school roof.

"I knew it, Esmeraude's darkness must be affecting these children," he said.

"I'm afraid Riku's right," agreed Artemis who arrived, catching Luna by surprise.

Quickly rushing through the corridors of the school with his Keyblade at the ready, Riku saw that it was a huge mess, as he hurried to Chibiusa's side, and noticed that the classrooms were also in ruins.

"How awful. What happened?" wondered the pinkett.

But suddenly Momoko attacked her with a broom, and saw that even the teachers had been affected by the darkness.

"Get to safety! Go!" cried Riku.

"Uh, okay, Big Brother," replied Chibiusa.

He and Momoko charged toward each other, but he blocked the attack with his Keyblade and forced her back, then they quickly raced through the corridors, as Achiral stood beside the dark henge on the roof. Quickly the two soul siblings took cover in a classroom, and shut the door, while the other children and teachers raced by. Then she heard the sound of a click that made her jump but made Riku react on instinct.

"It's just us, you guys," Luna said.

"Luna, Artemis, boy I'm glad to see you two," replied Riku.

"Yeah, same here," agreed Chibiussa who slumped to the ground.

"Can you tell us what's going on here?" the silverette asked.

Artemis was about to explain, when they quickly hid from Momoko who was now hunting for Chibiusa. Having no sign of her in the science classroom, she closed the door and renewed her hunt for the young girl.

"So why is she acting like that?" Chibiusa asked nervously.

"Esmeraude must be behind all this," replied Artemis.

"Could be," agreed Luna.

"Then it looks like one of us should alert the others of what's going on," said Riku.

Artemis nodded and scurried off.

"Come on Chibiusa, let's get out of here," whispered Luna.

"No, I'm not running away," protested Chibiusa.

"Are you serious?" questioned Riku.

"I can't just run off and leave Momo and the others like this. I'm really scared of how mad they are, but I'm staying," she replied.

"All right then, we'll just lay low until Sailor Moon and the others show up," said Luna.

"Okay… then I'll stay as well," agreed Riku.

"WHAT!?" cried Makoto and Terra.

"At Chibiusa's school?" asked Usagi and Sora.

"Yes. Come on we have to go, quickly," replied Artemis.

"All right then," said Ami, until her comlink beeped.

"Guys, you need to come to Juban park right now," Minako's voice said through the comlink.

"Guess that means we've got two calls for help," said Sora.

"Any idea what we should do, Ami?" asked Aqua.

"Some of us will head to Juban Park, You and Sora head to Chibiusa school and help her and her friends," said Ami.

"All right then, let's roll out!" replied Sora.

The three of them soon assumed the Sailor Guardian identities, and soon hurried off to their appointed destinations, just as Minako, now as Sailor Venus glared up at the dark henge.

"This thing was able to materialize before we even knew about it," she said.

"I guess their tactics have changed," replied Rei who was now Sailor Mars.

"Guess since they're not messing around this time anymore," smirked Axel.

"Then we've got to get rid of that thing before things get seriously out of hand," agreed Roxas.

But before they could get that chance Chiral suddenly appeared behind them.

"Once it has the chance to get this big, there's no way you have enough power to destroy it," he chuckled.

Back at the school, Sora, Sailor Moon and Artemis noticed a table being thrown out of a window, sending glass falling everywhere.

"What is that thing?" they asked.

"Whoa, I don't know! That wasn't here a few minutes ago as I remember," replied Artemis.

Meanwhile, Sailors Venus and Mars, alongside the other Keybladers fought furiously against Chiral, who was able to deflect both the Venus Love-Me Chain, and the Burning Mandala by causing the ground to rise up and shield him from the attack. He was able to jump clear, but managed to evade Sailor Mercury's Shine Aqua Illusion attack, just as she arrived with Sailor Jupiter, Aqua, and Terra, who immediately fought off the Heartless that tried to catch them off guard.

"How nice, you're all here. We'll have our showdown at the Juban Public Elementary School. After that, we'll be sending you straight to oblivion, just to make an advanced note of this," Chiral said, then vanished as he chuckled darkly.

"Juban Elementary?" asked Minako.

"That means Chibiusa's in danger," said Ventus.

"We gotta help her fellas," agreed Mickey.

"I'm with Mickey on this one," said Rei.

Back at the school, Sora, Artemis, and Sailor Moon, ran cautiously through the school until they reached the science classroom.

"Chibiusa, Riku, are you in here?" they asked in a hushed whisper.

They slowly walked inside, thinking that no one was around, which seemed strange to Artemis.

"You guys, it's us, Sailor Moon and Sora," Sailor Moon said, as she scanned the room.

"Sailor Moon? Sora?" Chibiusa's voice asked, which suddenly made Sailor Moon believe that the skeleton was asking them, making her cry out in shock.

"Whoa! Wait a second Sailor Moon! I think it was Chibiusa who said that! Not the skeleton!" Sora called over her panicked cries.

But to her relief, the real Chibiusa clung to Sailor Moon with her tiny arms wrapped around her, as she cried. At first she was relieved, until a few drops of rock slowly fell, causing them to look up at Achiral who appeared from nearby.

"Run!" called Riku.

The four of them did just that, but Achiral was in hot pursuit of them.

"Welcome, you two," he said.

"That is no way to welcome someone! I almost had a Heart-attack back there! You're gonna pay for that and for destroying School Property, too!" she snapped furiously.

"Yeah, so let's get it over with!" agreed Sora.

"Seeing as Sora and I are on the same page, you'd be better off saying prayers for your funeral," replied Achiral, when Chiral appeared beside him.

"You're crazy! Not a chance!" barked Riku.

He lunged at them, but they stopped him with a dark barrier and blasted him.

"Are you okay, Big Brother Riku?" Chibiusa asked worriedly.

"Enough already! How long are you two gonna keep acting like this? In case you didn't get the hint, I'll spell it out. We're not gonna lose to you. Got it?" said Sora.

But the first Boule Brother charged towards them, forcing Sora to prepare himself, while the other jumped behind them. Suddenly, Chibiusa turned and noticed Momoko still having a crazed look in her eyes.

"Momo don't! It's me!" she cried.

"It's no use," said Luna.

"Dark power has contaminated her mind. There's no way that you can get through to her," agreed Artemis.

"How sentimental, still worrying about your friends at a time like this?" asked Hyena who appeared.

Chibiusa looked worriedly at Momoko, then at both brothers on either side of them.

"How dare you? HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO MY FRIEND!?" she snapped at them.

Just as Archial was about to strike her down, Sailor Mercury's Bubble Spray stopped him just in time, and made Sora relieved to see his friends had arrived at the school.

"We came like you asked us too," said Sailor Jupiter.

"And this time, We're sick of your nonsense!" agreed Aqua.

"Feel free to try and stop us," sneered Archial.

He soon vanished, but Sailor Jupiter and Terra warned everyone to stay on their toes as Sora and Sailor Moon thanked them for coming to the rescue.

"Looks like your partner decided to run off," smirked Sailor Mars.

"Oh no, my dear Sailor Mars, Archial Isn't as cowardly as you might think," chuckled Hyena.

"I agree with Hyena," added Chiral.

Then at their signal, Momoko attacked them furiously, despite Chibiusa's pleas, forcing them to dodge, while the Keybladers defended themselves from the attack, but this time the Boule Brothers attacked them instead, and formed a barrier around them with their mastery over the darkness. Powerful bolts of dark lightning surged at them causing them intense pain, but when Chibiusa heard Momoko's screams, she ran to her side and hugged her tightly, causing her power to burst out. Archial and Chiral were surprised to learn that Chibiusa was the rabbit, even as Sora and Usagi called to her. Momoko awoke, and was about to ask what happened to the school, when Chiral attacked again. Quickly pushing Chibiusa out of the way, Momoko was thus blasted by the darkness and collapsed to the ground.

"No! MOMOKO!" cried Sora.

As Momoko fell to the ground, the memories in Chibiusa's mind awoke, as if she was seeing her own mother in her friend's place. In the next instant, a blinding flash of light erupted from Chibiusa's latent power which had now been awakened.

"How dare you do this to Momo! To my MOMMY!" she cried out in fury.

Then suddenly, the Malefic Black Crystal inside Wiseman's fortress suddenly reacted to Chibiusa's power, causing both Wiseman and Demande to look at it in surprise. At the same time, the Boule Brothers were sent flying out of the school by the burst of power Chibiusa unleashed.

"What in darkness is going on!?" cried Archial.

Everyone was also surprised to see Chibiusa's powers at their highest, even in the blinding light. Finally it faded away, and Chibiusa fainted into everyone's arms.

"Who could have known Chibiusa possessed such power?" wondered Sailor Mercury, earning a nod from Sora and his friends.

Chibiusa slowly crawled towards Momoko, calling her name weakly, just as Sailor Moon and Sora asked most of their friends to stay with the two girls, as they both decided to take on the Boule Brothers. Inside the dark fortress, Prince Demande and Wiseman stood flabbergasted at what happened.

"The Rabbit displayed a kind of power we've never seen before," said the cloaked figure.

"Interesting," mused the dark prince.

"Yes, indeed. Her potential is extraordinary. It would be rather upsetting if her life came to an unfortunate end," agreed Ultimecia.

"It appears you have a specific plan in mind," Demande said observantly.

But they didn't know that Saphir was listening in on their conversation. Back at the Elementary school, Sailor Moon, Sora, and half of their friends were now hunting down the Boule Brothers, who suddenly appeared behind them, only for a rose to stop them.

"All right, Tuxedo Mask!" cheered Sora.

"Turning the hallowed halls of learning into a battlefield, is an unforgivable act of violence," said the caped crusader.

"Then let's show them the real ABC's of heroism!" agreed Terra.

Nodding to Terra's statement, Sailor Moon readied her Princess Rod for her ultimate attack, which tried to force the Boule Brothers to retreat.

"Sailor Jupiter! Stop 'em!" called Sora.

"With pleasure! SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!" cried the thunder Guardian.

This was enough to force them back up, so that Sailor Moon's Princess Halation could continue without any mishaps.

"And now, ULTIMA!" shouted Sora.

The combined might of their attacks destroyed Achiral and Chiral, as well as the two Dark Henges.

"We did it!" the two friends cheered.

"Curses! foiled by those pesky brats!" seethed Esmeraude.

"If you're feeling so confident, why don't you come down and face us yourself?" Sora asked tauntingly.

"Very well then, I shall!" the green-haired woman barked back as she snapped her fan in half.

She was about to attack, when something stopped her.

"Hold on, Esmeraude!" Demande's voice said in her mind.

"Prince Demande, why are you stopping me?" Esmeraude asked in confusion.

"Plans have changed. I need you to return here, Esmeraude," replied Demande.

Esmeraude was about to protest, when the dark prince firmly told her it was an order from their master, Wiseman. She glared darkly at her foes from below.

"What's wrong? You gonna fight or what?" asked Sora.

"Just because I've been called back, doesn't mean you've won. Once we decide to strike, you blights won't last a minute," scoffed Esmeraude.

Then she vanished with her crazed laughter echoing everywhere. A short while later, everyone came to see Momoko who was resting in the cot, with Chibiusa.

"Does it hurt?" she asked.

"Not much, I'll be fine. Looks like we switched places from yesterday," replied her best friend.

They both exchanged a quiet moment with each other, then later as the sun started to set, Chibiusa looked out towards it, with everyone behind her.

"I have to go to the future. I have to go so I can rescue my mommy," she declared.

"But how are you going to do that?" asked Usagi.

"By using this space-time key," replied Chibiusa.

She slowly reached into her blouse and pulled it out to show them.

"I wasn't able to use it before, but I bet it'll work now," continued the young girl.

"Don't worry Chibiusa, we'll help you save your mother," said Sora.

"Are you saying you wish to help me, even after all the trouble I caused you all?" Chibiusa asked.

"Of course we would, little sister. We'll go with you to the future, and save your mother from whatever's holding her hostage. Just say the word, and we'll follow your lead," replied Riku.

Chibiusa nodded, as she slowly turned away.

"Will you please, come with me to the future?" she asked.

"Come with you?" asked Usagi.

"What do you mean?" Sora asked as well.

But Mamoru slowly approached her, and gently placed his hand upon the girl's shoulder.

"We'll help you, Chibiusa," he said.

"We'll go, together," agreed Makoto.

"We're all ready to do this," said Rei.

"Yes, count me in," piped in Minako.

"Me too. Unless we go to the future, we may never know what our enemy's real goal is," said Ami.

"Yeah, we're with you Chibiusa," agreed Sora.

"All of you make it sound so simple," mused Luna.

"But it's actually very risky," agreed Artemis.

"Risk is part of the game if you don't know how to plunge into danger," remarked Sora.

"That's right, all of us have made up our minds to go," agreed Usagi.

She then gave Chibiusa a thumbs up to let her know that they'd stay by her side.

"Thank you," said the young girl.

Deep down she was still hurting about her mother being in trouble, but this time she would be coming to her rescue with the people she cherished with her heart.
