I do NOT own OTH (Dreamworks) nor do I own any characters from starwars4life. I only own MY OC's.

Hello everyone! With October only a few weeks away, I thought I would start my first every OTH Halloween story. Like Revenge on the Rat King, even though it uses OC's from starwars4life, this is completely my own universe compared to his. The last chapter will be posted on October 31st, 2021. Halloween!

Hope you enjoy Quillo's Halloween!

Quillo's Halloween

Chapter 1: Quillo, the Scaredy Cat

When he was 9 years old, he was teased by other kids because he got scared of a silly clown decoration at a Halloween party, hosted by his turtle uncle Verne. 10 years pass, and nothing's changed. Quillo was still as scared and easily frightened around October 31st.

His triplet brother, Spike, and Spike's girlfriend, Emma, were heading to the log. This year, a group of animals their age were hosting a Halloween themed party they titled SpookFest. It started tomorrow. Today was October 30th. Spike and Emma arrive at the log.

Spike: Quillo? Bro, you in there?

Quillo: Yes I am, and I'm not coming out! Not until November 1st!

Spike: Oh jeez. Don't you think that's a little overreacting?

Quillo: No it ain't! Every year, I'm the laughing stock to everybody! Just because I get scared easily doesn't mean you guys can make fun of me!

Emma: This year'll be different! Trust us!

Quillo: Nope! Last time I did that, you guys took me to a haunted house! And they had a clown! A CLOWN!

Spike: Ok, it's no use…Go get Rach.

Emma nods, and heads to get her sister, and Quillo's girlfriend Rachel. After a few minutes, Emma comes back with her triplet sister.

Spike: Hey, Quillo! Emma and I will leave you alone, but Rachel's gonna talk to you for a little bit, ok?

Quillo: Oh, come on! You brought Rachel into this?

Spike and Emma leave. Rachel leans against the side of the log.

Rachel (Sing-Song): Quil-lo.

Quillo: Hi, Rach.

Rachel: Are you scared?

Quillo: Of course not! I just don't want people to laugh at me.

Rachel: People just find it…a bit humorous that you get so easily scared.

Quillo: Exactly! So if I stay here until November 1st, nobody has anything to laugh at!

Rachel: Are you seriously gonna miss SpookFest because of a little bit of laughter?

Quillo:

Rachel: I'd miss you if you weren't there…

Quillo gets out of the pile of leaves, and goes up to Rachel.

Rachel: There you are!

Quillo: Just…promise me we won't go to a haunted house this year.

Rachel: Promise.

Quillo nods. That's when they go over to the others. Alongside Spike and Emma, there was also Quillo's older brother Bucky, and Rachel's older sister Emily. All of them were 19.

Bucky: You guys ready for SpookFest?

Spike: Heck yeah!

Quillo: What's happening there?

Spike: Oh you know, the usual Halloween stuff.

Quillo was quite disappointed by Spike's explanation. He was asking because he did NOT want to be all of a sudden scared out of his wits end after a jumpscare.

Emily: Tonight's the opening ceremony. Mom said she'd meet us there.

Now THAT made Quillo feel better. Annette secretly LOVED him. No way would she let anyone pick on him at this SpookFest.

Bucky: Well, let's get going!

The 6 teens then made there way to the area SpookFest was being held at.

Somewhere in between, Quillo's eyes drifted to a possum studying a tree.

Quillo: Hey, Rach. Do you see that possum over there?

Rachel looks over to the possum.

Rachel: Hmm…Looks shady, let's stay away.

Quillo: Maybe he's lonely. He doesn't look familiar. OOH! Maybe he just moved into the forest!

Quillo goes over to the possum. Rachel looks at the rest of the group, and catches Emma's attention.

Rachel: Emma, we'll catch up later, ok?

Emma: Gotcha!

Rachel goes over to Quillo.

Rachel: Are you sure this is a good idea?

Quillo: He probably just needs a friend or two.

Quillo and Rachel arrive at where the possum was standing. The possum looks over at the two, and smiles.

Possum: Neighbors, right?

Rachel: That's right! Did you just move in?

Possum: Yeah! Me and my mate. I'm Ed.

Ed shakes Quillo and Rachel's paw.

Ed: Very nice of you two to greet us. Me and Niki didn't get a lot of visitors back where we're originally from.

Quillo: That sucks…

Ed: Eh, it's all good. We're still happy together. Heck, we're expecting.

Rachel: (Brightening up) That's awesome to hear!

Ed: Yeah. Should be twins, but we're not sure.

Quillo: Good to hear. Oh, where are our manners? I'm Quillo.

Rachel: Rachel. We're dating.

Ed: Ah young love. Always love to see it. Oh, I should warn you…

Ed leans in closer to Quillo and Rachel.

Ed: You may hear some weird, maybe even…supernatural noises coming from me and my mate's abode. If so, do NOT…DO NOT! Come check up on us. We can handle ourselves.

Ed smiles.

Ed: Well, I should be getting back to helping the ole mate. Thanks for stopping by!

Quillo: Uh, yeah…Of course.

Ed: Hey, you guys are going to that SpookFest tonight, aren't ya?

Rachel: Yeah, why?

Ed: Stop by tonight, we'll have dinner.

Quillo looks at Rachel, and shrugs.

Quillo: That'll work.

Ed: Awesome! See ya then!

Quillo and Rachel then leave Ed be, and walk away.

Quillo: (Whispering) Did you hear that last thing he said?

Rachel: (whispering) Yeah…It was so weird what he said and how he said it.

Quillo: Best we listen to him, just in case…

And such, the two kept walking until they arrived. Now, it being the opening night for SpookFest, things were still being set up. Decorations adorned the surrounding trees, and various younger animals walked around in makeshift costumes. Quillo and Rachel see the others, and head over to them.

Emily: What took you guys so long?

Rachel: Stopped to see our new neighbor, Ed.

Quillo: He seems nice, and him and his mate are expecting.

Emma: Oh that's really nice!

Quillo didn't hear the footsteps of a masked animal creeping up behind him, so he kept talking.

Quillo: Yeah, they invited us to dinner after we're done here, I think we should all go-

And suddenly, the masked animal came up and exclaimed "BOO!", scaring the wits the out Quillo.

Quillo: AHHHHHH!

Quillo turned around to see the masked animal, with a makeshift Michael Myers mask, start to snicker. It was at that moment he realized it was a bully, none other than a childhood bully, Foster, a porcupine his age.

Foster: PFFT! HAHAHAA! It's always good to give ya a scare, huh Quillo? HAHAHAHA!

Quillo: That wasn't funny, Foster!

Foster: Sure it wasn't, dork. So, you decided to come to SpookFest after all, huh?

Quillo: Yes I did, and I plan to have an amazing time tonight, AND tomorrow!

Foster: Oh, ok! Just know Quillo…

Foster then puts the mask back on.

Foster: I see your every move…

Foster then snickers and leaves.

Quillo: What a JERK!

Emily: Who was that?

Bucky: Foster. One of Quillo's childhood bullies. Found out he was a scaredy cat, never let him live it down. Every year he pulls some stupid scare on Quillo, no matter where he is.

Emma: How have we only just met him if he's been a childhood bully to Quillo for years?

Bucky: Well, Foster likes to pull the scares when Quillo has nowhere to run, no one around him. In his opinion, it get's the better reaction.

Rachel: Well that's not nice.

Spike: As much as I would agree, at least he's in the Halloween spirit.

Suddenly, a kid younger than the teens came up to them.

Quillo: Erick! Good to see you buddy!

Emma: How are you doing?

Erick: Pretty good! I saw Foster pulled his scare this year already.

Quillo: Don't forget Erick, ONE of his scares.

Erick: Oh. Right.

Quillo met Erick, who is now 15, a few years back. He was very much a shy kid before he met Quillo. Now, he's outgoing, fun-loving, and just a fun kid to be around.

Erick: Hey, we're playing catch in the outfield, anyone wanna join?

Quillo: I'll play!

Quillo goes with Erick.

Quillo: Don't wait up on me.

Quillo then goes with Erick to the outfield, an open grassy area, where a bunch of other kids were ready to play catch. They used a small, makeshift baseball. First, a skunk boy named Cris threw it to Quillo, then Quillo threw it to Erick, then Erick threw it to Dexter, a possum boy, and Dexter threw back to Cris, who missed the ball, causing the ball to go into the deep forest.

Dexter: Aww, Cris!

Erick: Go get it!

Quillo: No no! It's ok, I'll go get it!

Cris: Thanks, Quillo. Looks really scary in there.

Foster (From a distance): Jeez, kid, you're starting to sound like Quillo!

Quillo rolled his eyes, and went into the deep forest to get the ball.

While Quillo was doing that, the others were talking with the boys' cousin, Derek.

Derek: So…Foster's already in the "Halloween spirit" huh?

Rachel: Yeah…I wish he would cut Quillo some slack! He's just sensitive, that's all it is…

Spike: But even you gotta admit, it's pretty funny when Quillo gets scared.

Rachel: It's NOT funny! It hurts his pride and his confidence.

Emily: Sis. He's 19 and he gets scared of the littlest things. Don't you think THAT should hurt his confidence more than actually getting scared?

Rachel: *Sigh* Ok, so it's a little weird for how old we are but…Whatever, I'm going for a walk…

Rachel then storms off.

Spike: Someone's in a mood…

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Quillo looks around the dark forest and sees the ball.

Quillo: Jeez, for someone so young, Cris can throw a ball pretty far…

Quillo goes to pick up the ball, but as his paw touches the wooden object, he sees smoke emitting from something in front of him. He looks up, and sees a cloaked creature, wearing a glowing Jack-O-Lantern for a head. It also wore a hood around the jack-o-lantern.

Quillo: Oh…my…god…

Hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of Quillo's Halloween! I plan to make this my longest fic I've ever written! That means it will be longer than 10 chapters, which is the current longest story I've written with Adventure Awaits.

Hope you guys enjoy this early Halloween present!
