Britt's pov:
Yokai Academy, a school made for monsters away from the human world so we can learn to coexist with humans. Being a monster in the human world doesn't have its perks, you have to wear items that keep your true form from being known as a vampire. You can't drink from just anyone but your sense of smell can tell you who is bad and who you might want to stay around. For me, I always wore an amulet around my neck and unlike most, I could remove it if I desired. So during middle school, I wore it but kept my distance from my peers.
It was easier that way and then after that I would go home and remove my amulet placing it on my nightstand as I'd do my homework. In my true form, my eyes were red and my hair had mostly purple in it with my brown hair showing but when the amulet was on my eyes changed to a purple color, the purple in my hair would transform into highlights, and my brunette hair would be dominate. That was the human form I had in this human world.
Humans don't even believe in monsters, how am I supposed to find a vampire mate in the human world. I thought
My twin sister came in and sat with me as we were looking over homework doing it. We were preparing for entrance exams. We planned to get into Yokai Academy as was the plan for most. "Think we'll get to meet the Akashiya family?" Bre asked as I smiled. "Maybe one day" I said
That time seemed to go by fast as entrance exams happened and we were accepted to Yokai Academy. We were so happy that we both danced but it was the thing we needed. A few months went by before things were going to be interesting.
No one's pov:
When the parents were taking them to the school, they were dressed in the uniform for Yokai Academy. Both the twins were nervous because they would have to wear their necklaces all the time instead of taking them off once they were home. It was stressful but also they were going to leave their little sister behind because she was a year younger than them. Knowing this they hugged her tightly knowing she'd come to Yokai with them next year.
Once they arrived, the girls got out getting their bags, and went to get their schedules. As they compared their schedules they noticed they were in the same homeroom and hugged each other. "maybe we'll find our mate while we're here." Bre said with a smile. Britt laughed a bit "Perhaps." Britt said, as they went to the homeroom noticing people were already there. For Britt and Bre the moment they stepped in the room they smelled a human.
A human at the school? Britt thought
After she shrugged it off, she went to her seat which was next to her sister as they waited. The teacher soon came in and introduced herself. "My name is Shizuka Nekonome" Ms. Nekonome said as she went over the school rules. Britt knew that the school would be that way but she knew some of these people were going to be a problem.
Wait the 2nd rule is to never reveal your monster identity, then how am I supposed to find a vampire mate? Britt thought at the same time Bre was thinking the same thing
Learning a human would be killed on the spot was surprising but then something was off cause Britt was sure she smelled a human. "If a human did get here we could just kill him." A boy said as Ms. Nekonome looked at her roster "You are Saizou Komiya." Ms. Nekonome said. Britt particularly didn't like that but she knew something was off yet she noticed Ms. Nekonome didn't exactly stay in her human form when her tail was out. "Say what you want but I swear I've been smelling human this whole time." Saizo said
When they were waiting suddenly the door opened and they heard a female voice. "I'm sorry I'm late." The girl said a she bowed. Britt looked over at Bre who also sensed it as she smiled at her twin but they watched. "Oh don't worry, it's alright. Go ahead and introduce yourself." Ms. Nekonome said as the girl went before everyone with a smile. "Hi, I'm Moka Akashiya." Moka said.
Pink hair..green eyes. Interesting human form compared to the usual thing they think vampires are with red eyes and white hair...the Akashiya's are known for their white hair. Britt and Bre thought
Everyone was surprised when she jumped at a student "Tskune, it's you. I'm so glad we're in the same class." Moka said. Britt and Bre had a feeling that she had met him before. Ms. Nekonome got their attention. "Alright class, now let's go over introducing ourselves." One by one everyone was standing to introduce themselves. Britt was bored until it was some girls had her attention. "I'm Zoey Bakura." Zoey had said when she stood up, Britt could tell off the back she wasn't a vampire but something else. Then there were a few others when another girl stood up "I'm Nina Gordan." Nina said as Britt was very curious on the other, Bre was even curious as they were ready to pick out a group of friends besides the Akashiya girl.
After a few more, a brunette with brown eyes stood up "Hi I'm Tanya Knight." Tanya said, Bre had noticed a pair of siblings had skipped to come back to them. A guy introduced himself as Ceon which had Bre's attention. A guy named Dante introduced himself then a couple of girls by the name of Nina, Heather and Olivia. When it was Bre's turn she picked up her sister's wrist. "I'm Bre Petrova." Bre started and Britt smiled "I'm her twin Britt Petrova" Britt said as she figured there were not many more behind them when they heard a few more people. "I'm Atem Motou" Atem said and Yugi spoke up "And I'm Yugi Motou"
"Ok, everyone has introduced themselves now would you two who skipped like to introduce yourselves." Ms. Nekonome said to them and they looked at her. "I'm Jake Dalton and this is my sister Lisa Dalton" Jake said
Britt and Bre got a bad vibe off of them and they only knew they would get that vibe on Demons. Britt sighed as they were able to focus for a bit on classes before they were given a chance to have a break. When they had that they walked out of the room together as they noticed Moka dragging Tskune Aono with her.
"Should we approach her?" Bre asked her sister but she questioned if it was wise. "We need to go get some tomato juice anyway. She might go there too." Britt said as she walked with her sister. Heather approached them while they were walking "Hey, you two are from the Petrova family. Would you like to be friends with me and my friends?" Heather asked as the twin sisters looked at each other. "Sure." Bre said
They walked out there, Britt was unsure about having a few of them around. She could tell which was on their level and which ones were not. She could notice a mark on Tanya's neck signifying Angel. An Angel? Britt thought. Britt put in a few coins as she looked at them. "What would you like?" Britt asked with a smile as they were surprised but told her. She hit the button for the drinks smiling as she handed them to them. The tomato juice told her which was vampire, the other drinks told them they were something else.
Britt noticed from a distance was Tskune and Moka so she walked over. "Hey, you're Moka, right?" Britt asked as Moka looked up and recognized her from homeroom. "Yes, you're Britt. I saw you and your twin sister at homeroom." Moka said, "Yeah, I was wondering if you wanted to be friends with my sister and I. You never know if you might need a few friends to back you up." Britt said as Moka smiled "Of course."
Britt smiled glad she thought so as she drank her tomato juice till it was almost empty when she heard someone approach. "Hey there sexy you said your name is Moka Akashiya, right?" He said as he was looking over but noticed Moka wasn't alone. "Oh Britt Petrova, you're here too." Saizou said as he walked over and grabbed Tskune by his tie and threw him. "Tskune!" Moka said as she got up and tried to go over but he grabbed her. "Let her go." Britt said as Saizou looked at her "Why don't you two come hang out with me?" Saizou asked
"No way I prefer to hang out with Nice people, thank you." Moka said as she got free going over to Tskune. Britt was about to walk away when Saizou grabbed her "Well, what about you? You could hang out with me." Saizou said as Britt tried to get free but he wouldn't let her go that easy. "Hands off." Britt said as Britt looked at him as he tried to pull her back but then she felt someone grab her wrist and get her free seeing two people she recalled their names as Atem and Dante. "The lady said hands off." Dante said, "I think you should bother someone else." Atem said
Britt was surprised but she was glad when they got away from Saizo. "Thank you, if you two hadn't come who knows what would have happened." Britt said as she smiled at them. In the dark, she was being watched by one of the demon students who admired her. After she talked with them a bit she walked away with her group to go up on the roof to relax as she was still being watched.

As they were hanging out there, Bre was talking with the girls but Britt was thinking about what her mother said. When you find your vampire mate, you'll know it when you meet him. Her mother had said and she felt it as she looked at her wrist. The one who'd pulled her away from Saizo was Atem but the one he was defending her was Dante. She used her sense of smell to tell what Dante was.
A vampire and a werewolf working together to help me. I thought
When they went back to classes and finished them, it was amazing that she could manage to concentrate but she looked over at Moka. She knew everyone had something that kept them in their human form and the only thing she could see on Moka was her Rosario. She noticed Tskune was missing and then Moka was heading out.
"I think she's worried." Bre said to Britt who nod
The twins decided to follow her when it came to wondering what was going on. Britt just had a bad idea as they were heading off grounds. Moka had a lot of ground ahead of them but when they made it to her they noticed Saizou was in his true form. "This is bad." Bre said as Britt looked at her twin. "We need to get to Moka, she's like us." Britt said as she knew Tskune had to be out here if Moka was.
Bre noticed she was covered in some kind of saliva "He's an orc." Bre said as Britt nod. "We try to stay in human form." Britt said to her sister as she went running to Moka. "Get away from her Saizo." Britt said as she tried to get to Moka but he wrapped his tongue around her leg and knocked her against a tree as she gasped. "Britt!" Bre yelled as the sound of a howl was easy to tell in the distance and when she looked she noticed the two men from earlier. "We told you to not touch her." They said as they were going to fight saizo but then Tskune showed up "Leave her alone!" Tskune said as the monster knocked him down the hill.
Dante got by Britt as Britt saw Moka jump over the hill. "She might need backup." Britt said as she didn't think about it and jumped after them. She wanted to make sure her new friend didn't get hurt as she knew there was but the two guys and her sister followed her too since Saizo had jumped down there. Knowing this wasn't going to be easy in human forms, but then she saw the sky change and bats as they made it down. As the bats came off and she saw Moka's true form, she was impressed.
She has the white hair. Britt thought
Britt felt two people put a hand on her shoulder as she looked seeing the two men but they were back in their human forms. "You need to be a bit careful while staying in this form." Atem said, "You could let us help protect you." Dante said and Britt pushed both their hands off as she watched. "I can manage on my own but thank you."
Watching, it took a mere few seconds for her to kick Saizo into the ground before they were even able to assist. Britt was impressed but Moka looked at her with the red eyes. Walking over Moka looked at Britt who wouldn't back down from another vampire as Moka took off her necklace. "So, let's see if what I assume is correct." Moka said as Britt felt her transformation back into her vampire self and she looked at her. "Is this what you wanted to see?" Britt asked as she was not going to fight her. "Yes, but sometime you and I will have to fight to see who is stronger if you really are my friend." Moka said putting her necklace back as she went over to Tskune and got her Rosarie.
When she put it back on her necklace, she reverted back to the one they knew in class. After that, they went back to the school and acted like none of this happened. Britt realized that Atem must have felt it too cause he kept coming to her side. Dante on the other hand, wasn't sure what his involvement was in all this. Still, she couldn't shake she was being watched as she was heading to her dorm with her new friends.
