The love story between Rumble and Sweetie Belle is one that had somehow led to great and unimaginable things. No one guess that their love would be the catalyst to the world being saved from the likes of Grogar. The two feel in love at a young age in the castle of the Princess of Friendship and current ruler of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle, and both foals dated for two years before breaking up after a terrible mistake that Rumble had made. Despite their impending break up, there was hope for the two to get back together, Rumble proving by spending a night with Sweetie Belle, one she would never forget, as it was the night she had lost her virginity.
Despite their love story's rocky path, despite all the hardships the two foals had to endure, they fought it out and five years later they had reunited and their love was stronger than it had been before. For once everything was said and done, the celebration had taken place and the two had vowed to marry one another.
Of course there was a another bit of a roadblock in the form of Cozy Glow. During the time Rumble and Sweetie Belle had broken up, he had dated Cozy Glow, actually he dated other fillies but Cozy Glow was the one he was the most serious with. Their relationship started off with dates and kisses before it evolved into a very sexual relationship, the two getting very intimate with each other on many occasions.
One of these occasions led to Cozy Glow becoming pregnant with Rumble's child. What Cozy Glow hoped would bound her and Rumble together forever was all for naught as he fell back in love with Sweetie Belle. Despite this, Rumble still took responsibility and helped Cozy Glow raise their child, with Sweetie Belle's blessing. In fact the mare was willing to allow Cozy Glow to live with her and Rumble.
Love was blooming, and so was Friendship. A story that spanned across many years, from the first time Rumble saw Sweetie Belle, during a stroll through the park with his best friend Dinky Do, to the first date, and then their first kiss.
The first time Rumble and Sweetie Belle got intimate however, that's something Sweetie Belle would never forget, and it was indeed that moment that kept hope alive for both of them that they would one day get back together.
Rumble had come home from Ponyville after his time in flight Camp, and some unfortunate detours. Even after havig been caught kissing Cozy Glow, Rumble still hoped to talk things out with Sweetie Belle, and see if the two could reconcile in anyway. Unfortunately Rumble decided the it would be best to break off their relationship, much to Sweetie Belle's dismay. Angry as she was, she did not want to lose her romance.
Rumble had one idea that would permanently bond them, he would give the both of them their first time together. Rarity wasn't home, so that made this moment that much better for the two to exploit.
Sweetie Belle had entered her room, Rumble following shortly after her. Deep down he was pretty nervous, this would be his first time doing something like this, but he also knows that Sweetie Belle has also never done anything like this, so it would be an experience for the both of them.
Sweetie Belle laid on her bed, resting her head against the pillow just as Rumble crawled on right beside her. She looked so cute laying there, almost easing his nerves, though he probably wasn't the only one who felt this way.
"How are you feeling?" Rumble asked. "Are you nervous or anything?"
"A little," Sweetie Belle admitted. "So please, be gentle."
"I'll do my best, I mean this is my first time doing this," Rumble said.
"Do you know exactly what do do?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Eh, sort of," Rumble said. "I mean Thunderlane gave me some tips on what to do if I ever got to this point. I don't suppose you got any advice from Rarity, or even your parents?"
"Rarity just told me the first time hurts and to brace myself," Sweetie Belle said. "She also told me what happens when I get too...excited."
Rumble placed his upper body over Sweetie Belle's lower body. "Well we'll go at your pace, if at any point you feel pain, let me know and I'll slow down. If you feel too uncomfortable, we'll stop. Just give the word and I'll back away."
Sweetie Belle nodded, "Alright."
"Now, last chance to back out, do you really want to do this?" Rumble asked.
Sweetie Belle nodded, "I may never get this chance again, if I'm going to have my first time, I want it to be with you."
"That's pretty nice of you, considering everything that's happened today," Rumble said.
"If this ride's coming to an end, I want it to have a satisfying end," Sweetie Belle said. "Rumble, I'm ready."
"Alright, I'll start off slow," Rumble said, placing his head directly over her lower region. He's never seen this part of any filly up close. Even if his wildest dreams he never expected to be this close to Sweetie Belle. Well maybe that wasn't totally true, he's definitely had those types of dreams since he learned of this exercise. The night after the two had gotten back together, and the night after Rumble proposed to Sweetie Belle, the two celebrated their union by going to Sweetie Belle's room in her parents' house, a rare moment for Rumble to actually be there. They had gone on a nice day long date, wanting to catch up with each other after all these years, just yearning to spend time with one another. When night came, they were not ready to call it quits on their date and continued on in the most romantic way they knew how.
Rumble and Sweetie Belle had just finished their session, the two were very sweaty and laying next to each other, but they were happy, this is what they wanted.
"I've waited so long for that feeling again," Rumble said, stroking her mane. "Oh how I missed your company Sweetie Belle..."
"I missed yours too," Sweetie Belle said. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting for a moment like this again."
"With your looks, I'm really surprised you didn't find another coltfriend if Tender Taps didn't work out," Rumble said.
"I really couldn't, I just couldn't love again, you left a hole in my heart that only you could refill, and I'm glad you did," Sweetie Belle said.
"Same, no other girl has come close to you," Rumble said.
"Not even Cozy Glow?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"I did care about her, a lot, but I don't think I ever truly loved her that much," Rumble said. "I mean, I felt close to her, I felt attracted to her, but honestly our relationship was more on physical attraction than an emotional one."
"I figured you had to be physically attracted since you did this with her too," Sweetie Belle pointed out. "Not that I should judge."
"Well you're better to do this with than her if that makes you feel better," Rumble said. "I can at least say I'm doing this because I love you, with Cozy Glow I just wanted to do it, now I'm living with that consequence."
"Don't worry, I'm here for you," Sweetie Belle said. "Tomorrow we're gonna talk with Rarity and my parents and see if there's a place we can live for now, we'll get a house, plan our wedding and take good care of Cozy Glow. I'll help you raise her baby, it may not be mine but it is yours, and I love you enough to help you through this."
"You're so kind and generous, this is why I love you," Rumble said, embracing Sweetie Belle in a kiss. "Hey, you up for more? I still got energy."
"My generosity getting you riled up huh? Interesting," Sweetie Belle said. "Alright, let's go again, but this time I get to be on top."
"I'd love that," Rumble said with Sweetie Belle saddling over him, positioning herself. "Being in you is like...a warm hug for my, uh, well you know."
"That's such a weird way to say it, but I love having you in me," Sweetie Belle said. "You're the only boy I want in me."
"Good to know," Rumble said.
Sweetie Belle grinned down at the boy as she began to rock her hips, giving Rumble the same pleasure he just gave to her. She was gonna enjoy these times with Rumble, their second start at romance and this time they get to do much more than when they were younger.
The following morning the two had made their way to Rarity's Boutique. It was very nice and refreshing for them both to once again trot through Ponyville as a couple as per normal, a sight many of the citizens missed, including the married couple of Lyra and Bon Bon.
Upon arrival inside the store, Sweetie Belle called out to her sister, "Rarity! Rumble and I are here!"
"Just wait one moment please, I'm finishing up in here," Rarity said.
"It's nice being here again," Rumble said. "I haven't been inside this store in five years, just felt awkward without you."
"I did miss having you around," Sweetie Belle said. "So is Cozy Glow coming today?"
"I think so, I mean we did ask her to come by if she had the chance," Rumble said.
The two heard the door open again, surely enough it was Cozy Glow, almost as if on cue. She wasn't alone, Flitter was with her as well.
"Just like old times Cozy Glow, you and me going to places together," Flitter said. "You're even just as small as you were back then."
"I'm not that much smaller, I've grown...a tiny bit," Cozy Glow said. She wasn't wrong, she grew bit by bit each day, but she still wasn't that much taller than she was when she got frozen in stone, her body still hasn't fully caught up to her age. "I just hope my body will be big enough in like eleven months, might be hard to squeeze out a foal if I still look like one."
"You'll be fine," Flitter said. "I still can't believe you're having a baby, and that you and Rumble were...well, active."
"Yeah we were sneaky," Cozy said, still a bit proud of her planning, even if it was mostly Rumble who snuck in and made love to her on several occasions.
"Looks like she's here," Sweetie Belle said. "Hey Cozy Glow!"
The filly turned to see her new best friend, "Sweetie Belle!" She rushed over to greet the filly with a hug. "So, are we really going to ask Rarity about this?"
"You got it, don't worry about a thing, I'll make sure you're properly tended to, just let your best friend help you out," Sweetie Belle said.
"If it doesn't go well, you're free to continue living with me until further notice," Flitter said. "I really missed having you around."
"Yeah, I missed being around you too Flitter, when I got freed from stone, I really wanted to go see you, but I knew that wouldn't be a good idea," Cozy Glow said.
"I would have taken you back honestly," Flitter said. "I missed you tremendously while you were away, I actually visited your statue quite often. I even looked up your birthday and threw a party for you at your statue the last few years."
"Yeah I went to those as well, it got kind of depressing though," Rumble said.
"Well I'm glad somepony cared," Cozy Glow said. "Next time it's my birthday, you can go all out."
"We'll get Pinkie Pie's help for that one," Rumble said.
Moments later, Rarity had stepped out of her design room, her mane a mess. "Good, you're all here, just give me a moment to freshen up."
"Did you pull an all nighter?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"No but it sure feels like I did," Rarity said, using her magic to grab a comb. "I worked until very late hours last night, then this morning I got up much earlier than I'm used to, but I've finally finished."
"What was the order anyway?" Flitter asked.
"It wasn't an order per say, it's more of a gift," Rarity said, then used her magic to bring out a suit. "I made this for Tender Taps, as a way of congratulating him for his proposal."
"Oh right, Tappy proposed to Twilight the same night Rumble proposed to me," Sweetie Belle said. "Funny how that worked."
"I still can't believe they're actually getting married, I mean I knew that Teder Taps has had a major crush on Twilight but for it to actually happen," Rumble said, trying to think of the possibilities.
"Twilight was quite surprised herself," Rarity said. "Just yesterday she told me that she had some mixed emotions about marrying dear little Tender Taps, I mean she has known him since he was a foal, maybe she still sees him as such."
"I mean he is pretty young, but it's not like Twilight's that much older than him," Flitter said.
"Yeah, it's basically the same gap that me and Rarity have," Sweetie Belle said. "Maybe she's over thinking this too much."
"Maybe, I mean she did seem happy when she told me about the proposal, in fact she told me she wanted it, but she's just having some doubts now," Rarity said. "I mean she was in a pretty good mood the night she accepted, she feels like she's just riding off that emotion rather than a genuine desire to get married."
"We'll ask her about it later," Flitter said. "But before that, we need your help with Cozy Glow's living situation. As you know, she's pregnant with Rumble's child, and Rumble wants to take care of her while planning his own wedding with Sweetie Belle."
"Yes, I am aware of the situation," Rarity said. "You both wish to care for Cozy Glow while she carries Rumble's child."
"That was our plan if we ever get our own home," Sweetie Belle said. "Of course we don't have our own home yet, I'm still living with you or our parents, Rumble still lives with his family, so things are getting a bit complicated for us."
"Quite understandable," Rarity said. "Now, you both want to care for Cozy Glow correct?"
"Yeah, I have to, she's pregnant with my child," Rumble said, then realized his wording. "And I do care about her."
"And she's my friend, I want to be there for her," Sweetie Belle said.
"Alright, I think I can work out a temporary solution," Rarity said. "Sweetie Belle, for the time being, you will be staying here permanently, which means going to mom and dad's house much less."
"That I can work with, I already pretty much live here, might as well make it official," Sweetie Belle said.
"Cozy Glow, you will live here with Sweetie Belle," Rarity added.
"That sounds neat," Cozy Glow said.
"And Rumble, if your family's alright with it, I'd like it if you lived here as well," Rarity said.
"Live here!?" Rumble asked. "I mean...that works out well but I didn't expect you to let me stay here."
"Well you do wish to care for Cozy Glow, do you not?" Rarity asked. "All three of you living here would make things so much easier."
"Are you really ok with that?" Rumble asked. "I don't want to be a burden."
"Oh nonsense, I would love to have you here, and I know Sweetie Belle will like that very much," Rarity said.
"I sure would," Sweetie Belle said. "This way I can have you both with me."
"Well, if you're ok with that then that's fine," Rumble said, then turned to Cozy Glow. "What about you, are you ok with this?"
"Sure am," Cozy Glow said. "I don't mind living here with you two."
"Then it's settled," Rarity said. "Oh you'll all be so happy living together, funny to think that you beat your brother in living with your girlfriend."
"Oh right, Thunderlane still lives back home," Rumble said. "Of course he travels a lot so that doesn't matter I guess."
"Well since you're going to live here, then I guess you should bring your stuff over from your house and move it to my room," Sweetie Belle said.
"Where am I gonna sleep?" Cozy Glow asked.
"I think I can get an extra bed in my room, that way you'll always be near us," Sweetie Belle said. "You'll definitely need us the further pregnant you become."
"Absolutely," Rarity said. "I mean, I don't know much about pregnancy but it is quite a commitment, I remember when mother was pregnant with Sweetie Belle and how our father always stood by her, always tending to her, it was so admirable."
Flitter giggled a bit, "You know it is a bit ironic. Cozy Glow wanted to be a Princess, now she gets to be treated like one, having two ponies always tending to her."
"Never thought of it that way," Cozy Glow said, grinning at the possibilities. "I think I'm going to like being pregnant then."
"Try not to let the power go to your head," Rumble joked, then realized. "Huh, if I'm gonna take care of Cozy Glow, then I'm gonna need a job."
"Maybe my sister can get you a job," Sweetie Belle said. "She could use an extra hoof in her shop."
"Fashion really isn't my strong suit, what would be awesome is to become a Wonderbolt, that pays really well," Rumble said.
"If they even have openings," Flitter said. "Plus you still need to go through their academy."
"Maybe you can ask Rainbow Dash about it," Sweetie Belle suggested. "If there's a chance, then she'll know about it."
"Good idea, maybe I can fly over to meet her," Rumble said.
"Actually she's in Canterlot at the moment," Rarity said. "She and The Wonderbolts are planning an event, so if you want to speak to her you'll have to travel over there."
"You can speak with the rest of The Wonderbolts too," Sweetie Belle said. "Maybe you'll get into their academy right away if you're lucky enough!"
"I don't see why he can't," Cozy Glow said. "His brother's a Wonderbolt and so is Flitter's sister. They can put in a good word for him."
"I have my way in then," Rumble confidently stated.
"It's not a guarantee Rumble, make sure you keep that in mind before heading off to Canterlot," Rarity warned.
"Well I'll make it work, for the sake of my foal and to give your sister the life of luxury she deserves," Rumble said.
"Don't forget me too," Cozy Glow reminded.
"Of course, you are one carrying my foal, you deserve the same happiness," Rumble said, unintentionally making Sweetie Belle a little bit jealous, not that she would say anything.
"That's very sweet of you Rumble, but try not to spoil them too much," Rarity said. "Sweetie Belle, you really should try figuring out what you want to do yourself, and don't rely too much on Rumble, a relationship is about being equal."
"I'm already an apprentice to Twilight, in fact I thought about being a teacher at her school," Sweetie Belle said. "Or even becoming a famous pop star like Coloratura."
"Well, at least she has goals," Flitter said.
"So first thing's first, I gotta get to Canterlot," Rumble said. "I can take the next train, or better yet I can just fly there, that'll impress the Wonderbolts for sure!"
"Or how about you take the train so I can join you," Sweetie Belle said.
"Sure, if you want to," Rumble said. "I can impress them there anyway with my skills."
"Thinking about it, you fought off Changelings and helped fight Grogar, I think that should have impressed them enough," Cozy Glow stated.
"Just remember, it took Rainbow Dash a good while before she got in, the same may happen to you as well Rumble, keep that in mind," Rarity warned.
"Will do," Rumble said, then turned to Sweetie Belle. "Well let's head off to Canterlot then."
"Rarity, if you see mom and dad, tell them I'll be back by tonight," Sweetie Belle requested.
"Will do dear," Rarity said. "I wish you the best of luck Rumble."
"Thanks, but I don't think I'll need luck on this trip," Rumble boasted. "Let's hit the town Sweetie Belle."
The two teens made their way out of Rarity's shop, the mare curious for the boy's potential success, "I do hope they take him, it is a dream of his to be a Wonderbolt."
"It's something he's trained night and day for, that's for sure," Flitter said.
"I think he'll be fine, Rumble's got that determination in which once he sets his mind to something, he'll make sure what he wants becomes a reality," Cozy Glow said.
"That's quite the description," Rarity said. "Tell me, have you and Rumble had much time to catch up since...well, your freedom?"
"Not a lot," Cozy Glow said. "He's been spending a lot of time with Sweetie Belle lately, but so have I," Cozy Glow said. "Easy to see why Rumble likes her, she's really kind and sweet. Almost feel bad for driving a wedge between her and Rumble."
"Yes, that was not a pleasurable experience," Rarity said, bitterly remembering those days. "Well at least everything has worked out, even in this unusual circumstance. I still can hardly believe my little sister is getting married, oddly enough she's getting married before me!"
"It's not a race Rarity," Flitter joked. "Sweetie Belle just found the pony she loved, I mean you have Thunderlane, don't you?"
"Yes, but he didn't propose to me the moment we got back together," Rarity said.
"Give him a while, I mean even if he wanted to propose, he likely won't want to do it now since it would seem like he's trying to one-up Rumble," Flitter said. "I mean, his little brother is getting married before him after all, heck Rumble's gonna be a father before Thunderlane."
"Huh, that really puts things into perspective, doesn't it?" Rarity said. "Little Rumble's gonna be a father, yet he's still so young himself. Will be be ready for that type of responsibility?"
"Honestly, I don't even know," Flitter said. "I hate to say it, but it is possible that Rumble might be in a bit over his head. This is a huge responsibility!"
"Hey don't doubt Rumble, he'll handle it just fine," Cozy Glow said.
"Well how about you young filly?" Rarity asked. "Are you ready to be a mother? Are you ready for that type of responsibility?"
"I'll be fine too, I have Rumble, and Sweetie Belle will help," Cozy Glow insisted.
"Well, fair warning, you'll be expected to pull your share of the work, raising a child is a big deal, I mean I can't speak from experience but I've seen just how exhausted Shining Armor and Cadance get when it comes to Flurry," Rarity said. "Honestly I have my hooves full just watching over Sweetie Belle when my parents aren't around, not the same as parenting but close."
"I had my hooves full with Rumble, I mean thankfully he was well behaved when he was younger, gave me a bit of trouble toward his teen years but raising kids or just watching over them can be a lot of work," Flitter said.
"Even Pinkie Pie, who loves playing with foals by the way, had trouble foalsitting the Cake Twins at first," Rarity said.
"Oh speaking of Pinkie Pie, I heard she got engaged recently," Flitter said.
"Oh she did, with that darling Cheese Sandwich," Rarity said. "Yet another wedding to prepare for."
"That'll be fun," Flitter said, then focused back on Cozy Glow. "Anyway, I hope you have a plan of your own, I mean you're going to have a baby to take care of after all, you're gonna have to figure out a way to support it."
"Well if Rumble becomes a Wonderbolt, he'll make lots of bits and I won't have to worry about anything," Cozy Glow said.
Rarity groaned in annoyance, "Do keep in mind Cozy that Rumble and my sister are offering you home and shelter, do not pass off your parental duties onto them. Rumble will do his share as the baby's father, but as the baby's mother, you'll be expected to pull your own weight and not rely on Rumble or my sister."
"To be fair, Rumble and Sweetie Belle offered to take care of me," Cozy Glow pointed out.
Rarity sighed in shame, "Just try not to get too comfortable dear."
Before long, Rumble and Sweetie Belle arrived in Canterlot, making their way into the raceway. Rumble looked around trying to locate The Wonderbolts. "Where could they be? I mean this is where they're performing aren't they?"
"Yo Rumble! Sweetie Belle!" The two turned to see Rainbow Dash flying over.
"Oh Rainbow Dash, you're here," Rumble said.
"Of course I am, I am performing," Rainbow Dash said. "What brings you both to the stadium? Here to see a show?"
"Actually we were hoping to talk to Spitfire," Sweetie Belle said. "Rumble wants his chance to join The Wonderbolts."
"Oh, so the day has finally come huh?" Rainbow Dash said. "I'm not surprised, you've been training since you were a kid, even if you slacked off on occasion."
"I kind of lost motivation for a while, but it's back again," Rumble said. "I got a second chance in life, and now I want to use that chance to become a Wonderbolt."
"I see, you get back together with Sweetie Belle and now you want to try your dreams again huh? Makes sense," Rainbow Dash said. "Plus you were involved in a big major battle a few days ago, I bet that got your adrenaline going!"
"It sure did, I'm ready to live my dreams now!" Rumble said. "Pretty soon I'm gonna be married to the mare standing next to me, and I want to make sure she's married to a real winner!"
"You're already a winner to me Rumble," Sweetie Belle reassured.
"Sappy much?" Rainbow Dash teased. "I'll go fetch Spitfire for you, wait here."
Rainbow Dash flew off, leaving Rumble alone with Sweetie Belle, the two very much excited for what's to come.
"It'd be so great if I can be a Wonderbolt, flying alongside my brother and Cloudchaser," Rumble said.
"That does sound exciting, nothing like doing the things you love with the ponies you love," Sweetie Belle said. "I will miss you during your travels."
"Oh right, the travels," Rumble remembered. "Well, it shouldn't be so bad, I mean Rainbow Dash is a Wonderbolt and she's still in Ponyville quite a lot, and even Thunderlane never stayed away for more than a day or two, unless it's a really big show."
"Well as long as you're having fun, and I won't be too lonely, I have Cozy Glow," Sweetie Belle said.
"You know I wonder," Rumble began. "We're gonna get married, you and I are gonna become husband and wife, but Cozy Glow is gonna live with us and be the mother of my first child, what does that make her in this relationship?"
"Uh...I really don't have a clue," Sweetie Belle admitted. "Right now she's just our friend, you just have a responsibility to take care of her and the foal you got her pregnant with, and I'm going to help."
"This doesn't bother you? Like at all?" Rumble asked. "When we were first dating, heck even before we started dating, back when I had a crush on you, whenever I imagined being married to you, not once did I think that we'd have somepony like Cozy Glow in that scenario."
"This isn't what I imagined either, but the fact is that she's pregnant with your child and it's only right that you help her raise it, but I do want to marry you so I want to help," Sweetie Belle said. "It really doesn't bother me much, I'll love that foal like it's one of my own. In fact I might just consider it one of mine, I'll be just as much of a mother to it as Cozy Glow."
"That's really nice of you," Rumble said. "Still, part of me does feel some regret, the reason we broke up in the first place was because of the Cozy Glow situation, it's almost like she pried her way into our lives."
"Can't change what's one, we can only move forward and make the best of things, I think everything will turn out fine," Sweetie Belle reassured.
Soon Rainbow Dash had returned with Thunderlane, Cloudchaser and Night Glider. "Yo Rumble, look who I brought."
"Hey bro, Rainbow Dash tells me you're ready to be a Wonderbolt," Thunderlane said.
"You bet I am, it's gonna be awesome, we'll be the high flying brothers," Rumble said.
"We'll be rooting for you kid," Cloudchaser said. "But you'll be fine, you've been practicing your whole life."
"You got talent Rumble," Night Glider said.
"Well now I just need to prove it to Spitfire," Rumble said. "I'll do that the first chance I get."
"That chance will come soon," Came a familiar voice. Spitfire had made her entrance alongside Soarin and Fleetfoot.
"Spitfire, such an honor to meet you," Rumble said, bowing to her.
"I get that a lot, now Rainbow Dash tells me you're ready to fly with us," Spitfire said.
"Yeah, I am, totally ready!" Rumble said. "I want to be a Wonderbolt!"
"And you'll get that chance, since your brother's a valued member of the team, as is your old foalsitter, and even Rainbow Dash put in a good word for you, I'll offer you a chance to join Wonderbolts Academy where you'll have your chance to prove your worth to us," Spitfire said.
"Wonderbolts Academy!? Sweet! I've always wanted to attend!" Rumble eagerly shouted.
"Good, happy to hear that," Spitfire said, grabbing some pen and paper to writing something down. "Here's the date and time, don't be late, part of being a Wonderbolt is punctuality, ponies with immense speed should never be late for anything."
"Unless they're lazy," Rainbow Dash said, gesturing to Thunerlane. "Don't be lazy like your brother."
"Hey! I'm not lazy!" Thunderlane said.
"that one Tornado Day says otherwise," Rainbow Dash reminded.
"I told you I was sick! I had the Feather Flu!" Thunerlane said. "You can even ask Rumble!"
"I just remember you going to Ponyville Hospital while I had to help make up the wing power," Rumble said. "Thankfully Fluttershy was there, shame she's not a Wonderbolt, she's got some incredible speed."
"She has her purpose that's she's following, just like we have ours," Spitfire said. "Still, like Rainbow Dash said, don't be late."
"There were other sick ponies too that day," Thunderlane pointed out, still on the topic of Tornado Day.
"Yeah, yeah, we get it Thunderlane," Cloudchaser said. "That was forever ago, let's move on."
Thunderlane scoffed in annoyance, "Tell that to Rainbow Dash."
As they began to trot off, Night Glider turned to Rumble, "See you soon Rumble, we'll be rooting for you."
"Thanks," Rumble said. "See you soon Night Glider."
"If you happen to see Sugar Belle in town, tell her I said 'hi' and that I really miss her," Night Glider said.
"Will do," Rumble said, waving good-bye to his friends.
"Wow, how exciting!" Sweetie Belle said. "My dear Rumble about to have his chance to fly with The Wonderbolts!"
"Yeah, it's gonna be amazing," Rumble said, looking at the paper. "Wow, two days until my first chance!"
"Which means you have some prepping to do," Sweetie Belle said. "But with your talents, you'll wow them for sure."
"I hope so," Rumble said. "Now, while we're here, wanna check with Twilight?"
"That sounds great, plus she could probably use some company since she's getting married soon as well," Sweetie Belle said.
"I still can't believe Tender Taps proposed the same night I did, kind of overshadowed me in a way," Rumble said.
"Does that really matter?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Eh, I guess not, as long as we're getting married then that's what matters the most to me," Rumble said. "Still, I would have liked us in the spotlight for a bit, I mean we were dating first."
"It's nothing Rumble, don't worry too much about it," Sweetie Belle said. "All I care about is marrying you, anything else is secondary."
"Yeah, it is, I'm still happy you're gonna be my wife regardless," Rumble said, kissing his fiancé. "Come on now, let's go find Twilight.."
The two quickly made their way toward Twilight's castle, the very Castle that Celestia herself lived at before her retirement. Passing through they saw all of the guards, very diligent at work.
"It's still amazing that Twilight lives here now," Rumble said.
"Yeah, I kind of miss her being in Ponyville," Sweetie Belle said. "I mean I still get to see her often, in fact I've come here for training."
"Is Twilight grooming you to be her successor?" Rumble asked.
"That'd be neat, but I doubt it, for all we know Twilight will probably rule as long as Celestia did," Sweetie Belle said.
"That's thousands of years though, is Twilight even gonna live that long?" Rumble asked.
"Good question," Sweetie Belle said as she thought it over.
The two passed through the castle, taking note of all the murals on the glass, some being the achievements of the Royal Sisters, them defeating Discord, King Sombra and Tirek. Even one of Celestia having to banish Nightmare Moon.
Then there were many of them being the achievements of Twilight and her friends. One mural representing her defeating Nightmare Moon and saving Luna, one of Twilight and her friends defeating Discord, the mural of the Canterlot Wedding, the mural of Spike saving The Crystal Empire, one of Twilight becoming an Alicorn, one of Tirek's first defeat, one ofthe battle and union of Starlight Glimmer, two more Chrysalis defeats, one with Starlight and her team, and the time Chrysalis had captured him and his friends. Then there one for the Elements and Pillars defeating the Pony of Shadows, and one of The Storm King's defeat. There was even one of the Elements teaming up to defeat Sombra and the Dazzlings, something Rumble remembered.
Then came two that seemed to be a bit hard for Rumble to see. First was Cozy Glow's initial defeat thanks to the Student Six. Then the biggest battle, where Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and The Dazzlings were defeated and turned to stone for a few years. To think during that time, Cozy Glow was pregnant with Rumble's child, which made him wonder what would have happened if anypony knew, if he knew or how she would have handled that situation.
"How strange," Sweetie Belle said. "To think a lot of the enemies on these murals eventually became our friends."
"Yeah, it's nice," Rumble said.
"And it led to some of our greatest moments, like that one," Sweetie Belle said, gesturing to a very recent mural of Grogar's defeat thanks to the efforts of Rumble, Sweetie Belle, The Elements of Harmony and the six former villains, the same ones that four to five years prior had been turned to stone.
"Wow, ponies work fast," Rumble said.
"They actually just finished that," the two heard. They turned around to see the now ruler of Equestria, Princess Twilight Sparkle. "I heard you were in my castle, this is such a nice surprise."
"Hi Twilight, where's Tender Taps?" Sweetie Belle asked. "We figured he'd be here too."
"He's off doing some dance practices, getting himself ready to audition for a show at Briddleway," Twilight explained. "Still, it's such a strange yet familiar sight, seeing the two of you together like this."
"Well we are older," Sweetie Belle said. "I'm no longer the twelve year old foal who fell in love with Rumble, or the fourteen year old filly who went through a not so pleasant break up. I'm a nineteen year old mare who's ready to get married to the stallion of my dreams."
"I just realized, you're older than I am," Rumble said. "Yet I call myself your knight."
"That's fine Rumble, I mean even Celestia had knights that were much younger," Twilight said. "Looks like Sweetie Belle and I are both marrying younger guys though."
"Well my guy's a year younger, yours is WAY beyond one year," Sweetie Belle teased.
"Excuse me, but there is only an eight year gap, that's not that big," Twilight said, then thought a moment. "Well maybe a little, but that's irrelevant, point is Tender Taps is an adult just like me and the two of you, and that's all that matters."
"I honestly don't feel like an adult though," Rumble said.
"Well that could be a good thing, it means you're young at heart, in a way we all are," Twilight said. "My brother is still young at heart despite being a father himself after all."
"How does he feel about your wedding?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Is he excited that you're getting married?"
"I actually haven't told him yet," Twilight said. "I debated if I should or not since he didn't tell me about proposing to Cadance back when he was about to be married."
"Seems kind of vengeful," Rumble said. "I know you're mad but you shouldn't do that to him, I mean if you didn't like it happening to you then you shouldn't do it to him."
"Yeah, you're right, I should tell him, it is the mature thing to do," Twilight said. "Not like something I can keep secret forever, I will have to announce to Equestria that I am getting married, I am it's ruler, it's only fitting they know that they're essentially about to get a new Prince."
"Does this mean we have to call him 'Prince Tender Taps'?" Rumble asked.
"Somehow I don't think he'll really be expecting that, I mean how often do you call me 'Princess Twilight'?" the mare asked. "Same with Flurry, his title will be a Prince but he'll still be Tender Taps."
"Yeah, our precious Tappy," Sweetie Belle said. "But since you two are getting married, does that mean you'll be having babies together?"
Twilight began to blush at that statement, the idea of being pregnant with Tender Taps's children hadn't crossed her mind much, but now it just might have to, "We'll definitely consider that possibility."
"I hope you two have kids, I just know you'll be a great mother Twilight," Sweetie Belle said
"That's kind of you to say, I think you'll be a great mother yourself someday," Twilight said. "Oh, speaking of which, how has Cozy Glow been?"
"She's doing great, she's going to live with me and Rumble in Rarity's house," Sweetie Belle said "Now we can take care of her while she's pregnant."
"Let me know if I can do anything as well, being pregnant has got to be a huge burden for her," Twilight said.
"Well she hasn't shown any signs of it being a burden yet," Rumble said. "If anything she's loving the attention she'll be getting."
"Heh, seems like Cozy Glow," Twilight commented. "Well I still offer my services."
"Really appreciate that," Rumble said, then turned to Sweetie Belle. "Let's head back, I want to check in on Cozy Glow, and I gotta figure out where to put my stuff."
"Ooh, how exciting!" Sweetie Belle said, the two soon to be wed ponies quickly making their way toward the exit. "Bye Twilight!"
"See you around!" Rumble said, leaving the room.
"I hope for the best for those two," Twilight said. "Of course, I still have my own wedding to plan."
As the two walked past the halls, they spotted Sugar Belle in the royal kitchen, giving out instructions to various ponies. "Hurry up with the ingredients, that soufflé needed to be in the oven 10 minutes ago!"
"Wow, she's assertive," Sweetie Belle said. "So much more than what I'm used to seeing."
"Yeah, she's changed a bit, but thankfully not by much," Rumble said. "Hey! Sugar Belle!"
The mare turned around face the two, her assertive demeanor immediately softening. "Rumble! Sweetie Belle!" She trotted over to hug the couple. "It's so nice seeing the two of you together."
"It's nice seeing you too Sugar Belle," Sweetie Belle said, pulling out of the hug. "How's life at the castle?"
"Busy as usual, but so rewarding, I can't believe I'm in charge of such a big establishment!" Sugar Belle said. "So what brings you two here?"
"I came by to see The Wonderbolts, mainly to see if they had an opening," Rumble said. "Since I'm getting married, I want to get started on my career."
"That's so good to hear," Sugar Belle said. "Landing a spot in The Wonderbolts would be amazing! It was amazing for Night Glider after all."
"That remind me, she told me to say 'hi' if I saw you and that she misses you," Rumble said.
"I miss her too, I also miss Party Favor and Double Diamond," Sugar Belle said.
"You should try to make time to see them," Rumble suggested. "I bet that'll make them happy."
"Yeah, maybe I will," Sugar Belle said. "Once I can get a break from here, but it's always so busy and everypony counts on me for help."
"Still you should..." Suddenly a pleasant aroma caught Rumble's attention. "Hey what are you making anyway?"
"Oh, wanna see?" Sugar Belle asked, leading Rumble into the kitchen. "It's a a special type of soufflé, my own recipe."
"Boy would I!" Rumble said, eagerly following Sugar Belle to where the food was being prepared. Sweetie Belle sat idly by as the two looked over the recipe, Rumble eagerly listening to how Sugar Belle and her team set it up and the recipe she used.
Sweetie Belle found this cute and adorable, Rumble did seem to have a fascination for cooking, and was happy to see that Rumble could indeed be good at more than one thing, and that a Cutie Mark would not be limiting to that.
The two made their way home by the end of the day, heading back toward Rarity's Boutique, up to the room they would both share. Of course already in the room was Cozy Glow, who had made herself comfortable on Sweetie Belle's bed.
"Welcome back, did you two have a nice trip?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Yeah, very nice trip," Rumble said. "Got to see The Wonderbolts, Twilight and Sugar Belle."
"Rumble really liked his tour of the Royal Kitchen," Sweetie Belle said. "Almost as much as meeting The Wonderbolts."
"Right, Rumble does seem to like chef work," Cozy Glow said. "He does make yummy treats."
"They're alright I guess," Rumble bashfully stated.
"Pfft, come now Rumble, you boast about your flying skills so I think you can boast a little on your cooking skills," Sweetie Belle said. "Maybe you can cook for The Wonderbolts like your brother does."
"That'd be pretty cool," Rumble said. "Flying and cooking, an awesome combination."
"That could be your signature flight move, cooking a tasty treat while soaring through the skies, using clouds as a type of whip cream," Sweetie Belle said.
"Eh, clouds aren't as tasty as they look," Rumble said. "It's mostly watery."
"Guess the only good clouds are Discord's cotton candy clouds then," Sweetie Belle said.
"The ones that rain chocolate milk? I wouldn't mind something like that," Rumble said.
"Oh? Here I thought you weren't into sweets Rumbly," Cozy Glow said.
"Hey I can indulge every now and then," Rumble said. "Sometimes a guy just needs to enjoy himself."
"We all know Rumble has always liked sweets, that's why he fell in love with me," Sweetie Belle teased.
"Well you are tasty," Rumble said, shifting his eyebrows.
"Oh Rumble, you're so charming," Sweetie Belle said, leaning in to kiss Rumble.
It was at this moment something tugged at Cozy Glow's emotions. While she wants to accept that Sweetie Belle is Rumble's true love, and she wants to be grateful that they're letting her live with them, mainly since she's pregnant with Rumble's child, it still nags on her that she lost out on having a boyfriend like Rumble, someone all to herself. She's still in love with Rumble, and that is not something she can easily let go. She wishes she could let go but to accomplish such a feat is very well beyond even Cozy Glow's capabilities right now.
Her wallowing was cut short when she felt something brushing against her cheek, she turned and saw that Sweetie Belle was nuzzling her. "Sorry if we're making you feel out of place, but you know I do care about you."
"Yeah, I know," Cozy Glow said, nuzzling back. "It's just taking some getting used to."
"Don't worry, we'll make sure you're happy with us," Rumble reassured. "I still vow to take good care of you, especially since you're carrying my child."
"Don't you mean our child?" Cozy playfully reminded.
Now it's Sweetie Belle's turn to feel a bit uncomfortable, while she accepts that Rumble and Cozy Glow had a relationship after their initial break-up, hearing about the fact that Cozy is carrying Rumble's first child, a right that should have been hers, is a bit of a burden to endure. Right now she felt so jealous, because she knows Rumble is going to treat Cozy Glow tenderly, and Sweetie Belle wants that right all to herself. Maybe it's selfish but she definitely does not want to share her soon to be husband.
"Well I'm gonna go get some dinner for us ready, thinking about Sugar Belle's soufflé is making me hungry," Rumble said.
"Ooh, are you gonna try to make one?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Sometime like that, you two get comfortable while I get cooking," Rumble said, leaving the room, making his way to the kitchen.
"That sounds exciting, I hope the baby likes it too," Cozy Glow said, rubbing her belly.
"Rumble's a good cook, I think the baby you're carrying will be just happy with it," Sweetie Belle said, hopping onto bed. "Finally living together, just like I always wanted, except it's in my sister's house, plus I didn't expect an extra roommate."
"I didn't expect this either," Cozy Glow said, sitting next to Sweetie Belle. "I really appreciate you doing this for me."
"It's no big deal," Sweetie Belle said, somewhat half hearted.
Cozy Glow nuzzled against Sweetie Belle, "You're very kind, and I really do hope I can make this up to you."
"Don't worry about it, Rumble deserves the chance to be with his child," Sweetie Belle said. "And we could never leave you on your own with a child."
"...Sweetie Belle, you don't hate me right?" Cozy Glow asked.
"N-no, of course not," Sweetie Belle said, not even sure if she fully believed that right now. "I told you that you're my friend, despite your mistakes. I do care about you and I want to help you raise your child too."
"That's good," Cozy Glow said, taking Sweetie Belle's hoof in her own and placing it over her belly. "Because honestly, you should have been the one carrying this child. I never should have taken this away from you, but I promise that when this baby is born, it'll be just as much your child as it will be mine and Rumble's."
Sweetie Belle found this statement incredibly bittersweet. While she loves that Cozy Glow wants to involve her in the child's upbringing, it just filled her with even more resentment and regret, the child that should be just hers and Rumble's is growing in the womb of another filly.
"Thank you Cozy Glow...that means a lot," Sweetie Belle gently rubbed the other mare's stomach, wanting so desperately to feel close to the child she wished she was having. She wants to be mad still but it's hard, this is her friend and she genuinely wants her Cozy Glow to feel loved. She knows that her friend, the mother of her fiancé's child is just trying to make things right, and she wants to accept that.
Unfortunately it's harder than it sounds.
I am not good with lemon scenes, don't expect quality. Chapters will be focused on occasional different relationships not limited to just Rumble and Sweetie Belle.
