Not too long ago, during the villain invasion, two fillies had met at a barn in Sweet Apple Acres. The two were making plans to leave Ponyville soon, hoping to find any outside help to take down the villains that were invading.
Sometime prior, they encountered some evil Changelings and the Storm King's soliders. Despite Apple Bloom's strength and Dinky's incredible magic skills that years of training with Starlight honed, the two nearly got overwhelmed.
It was fortunate that some of The Wonderbolts had come to help, giving the two the chance to escape into a nearby barn where they were able to catch their breath.
"There's way too many of these guys!" Dinky complained. "How are there this many evil Changelings!? I thought most of them turned good?"
"Ah think a few turned evil again, not sure how or why," Apple Bloom said. "Maybe hypnosis, or the sirens probably mind controlled them."
"Then we got those stupid guards working for the Storm King, like how did he even come back?" Dinky asked. "Better yet what about Sombra? And who freed the villains that were trapped in stone!?"
"Ah really don't know," Apple Bloom said. "Rumor is a new villain came to help but no one knows fer sure."
"Wish we could help more, though the two of are aren't enough for that," Dinky said. "We gotta see if we can round up all of our friends. If we all work together we'll be able to crush these jerks."
"Is that even gonna be enough? We're still only like five ponies," Apple Bloom said. "And Tender Taps ain't much of a fighter."
"What about Rumble? What if we went to get him?" Dinky asked.
"Rumble? How are we gonna get him? He's all the way in Cloudsdale, which we can't walk on," Apple Bloom said.
"I know the spell, I asked Starlight to teach me so I can go see Rumble," Dinky said.
"Well that's nice, but how would we even get there?" Apple Bloom pointed out. "We can't get a ride there, Scootaloo can't really fly that well, we have no way of reaching Rumble. Honestly would it even help much?"
"Of course it would, this is Rumble we're talking about, he's pretty amazing," Dinky said. "There's nothing he can't handle."
"Think yer overestimating him a bit," Apple Bloom said. "Rumble's talented and all but there's only so much he can do."
"Hey come on, he's a very determined guy," Dinky said. "He's done well before."
"Usually because he has somepony he wants to protect, but lately he's kind of lost is edge, between breaking up with Sweetie Belle, Cozy Glow turning into stone, and his inability to find a new marefriend," Apple Bloom said. "Ah tried, Scootaloo tried, Diamond Tiara tried, even you tried, at least ah think you did."
"A little..." Dinky said. "I'm honestly too worried to start an official relationship, I mean I don't mind kissing him, I'll even have sex with him if he wants but I can't commit."
"Ah mean, if yer willing to get that intimate, what's stopping you? After all you clearly love Rumble a lot," Apple Bloom said.
"I'm not a good marefriend for him though, it's not gonna work out," Dinky said. "Making out and doing it are fine because we're just goofing around and we at least care about each other enough to not feel too weird about doing that but I can't commit to a genuine relationship."
"You can't commit to a relationship with a colt you clearly love, and you clearly don't mind getting very intimate with," Apple Bloom scratched her head. "Ah honestly don't get that."
"Even if I do love Rumble, and believe me, I love him a lot," Dinky said. "Rumble doesn't feel that way about me, deep down he just wants us to stay friends, I can tell that after each make out session he feels a little guilty because it's never going to be anything beyond some kissing or occasional sexual intimacy."
"Have you even tried though?" Apple Bloom asked. "Ah really think you both make fer a good couple."
"It won't work Apple Bloom," Dinky emphasized. "Look, our relationships is very...complicated. I only agreed to date Rumble if we really had nopony else, but I don't want our relationship to come to that, it's really not very romantic."
"Eh, not wrong ah guess," Apple Bloom said. "What ah never got was why you got so jealous with Sweetie Belle if you didn't feel that strongly about wanting to date Rumble."
"That was mostly me getting jealous for not getting any attention from him after a while," Dinky said. "It was wrong of me though, I really do think that Rumble and Sweetie Belle are perfect for each other, and deep down I hope they end up back together. I don't want to be part of the reason they don't."
"Do you really think it can happen?" Apple Bloom asked.
"I hope so, she's perfect, honestly she'll make a better girlfriend for Rumble than I would, I am not good dating material," Dinky said.
"Come now, don't say stuff like that, yer a great filly, you'll find somepony," Apple Bloom said.
"Thanks, you're really nice," Dinky said. "But it's fine, you don't need to compliment me."
"I know I don't 'need' to, I 'want' to," Apple Bloom said. "Yer very pretty Dinky, ah bet you can find yerself a good pony to date."
"I hope so, I do want to find myself a nice pony, that'd be great," Dinky said. "What about you Apple Bloom, do you think you'll ever find somepony?"
"If ah can, like ah said Rumble didn't work out when ah tried dating him, Tender Taps might be a lost cause as well, and no other colt really seemed that interesting to me," Apple Bloom said.
"Maybe try asking you sister for advice, or your sister-in-law" Dinky suggested. "Maybe they know some stallions."
"Never thought about asking either of them, Applejack barely considers dating herself," Apple Bloom said. "Big Mac and I have been trying to find a good pony fer her the last year, but she usually turns the idea down. Even Cheerilee has been making suggestions, she wants Applejack to be happy too."
"Maybe I can get Derpy to help, she knows a few single ponies, my sister Amethyst can help too," Dinky offered.
"That'd be great, maybe afterwards ah can start looking fer somepony, if there is somepony," Apple Bloom said.
"There totally is," Dinky insisted. "I mean I'd date you, so I think other ponies would."
"Huh? You'd date me?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Yeah, I mean honestly I prefer fillies over colts, not that I would turn a colt down if he fit the bill, though only Rumble and Tender Taps have shown attractive qualities to me," Dinky said. "But you, yeah if I could I would totally date you. You're really pretty and you're strong both physically and metaphorically. Plus you're really kind, caring and protective to your friends and family. Anyone who you date would be the luckiest pony."
"That's so kind of you," Apple Bloom said, blushing at the words. "Ah had no idea you thought that way about me."
"Well I've thought like this for a few years, never put too much stock into it since you're probably not into fillies," Dinky said.
"Ah mean, ah never really thought about that," Apple Bloom said. "I've only noticed colts but ah never tried noticing fillies."
"...Do you want to find out?" Dinky nervously asked.
"...If you want, kind of curious right now," Apple Bloom said.
Leaning in carefully, after some moments of hesitation, the two fillies locked themselves in a kiss. Neither knew what to feel at first, though Dinky seemed pretty quick to enjoy it, loving the intimacy she felt.
Pulling back, both girls quickly turned away, trying to process the moment in their heads. Dinky was the first to speak up, "H-how was it?"
"...Ah...ah think a need a little more," Apple Bloom said.
"Y-yeah, sounds good," Dinky eagerly agreed. She leaned in and kissed Apple Bloom again, this time hugging her close, wanting to really feel the filly. She broke free, looking at Apple Bloom. "How's that?"
"More, ah need a little more," Apple Bloom said and kissed Dinky some more, the two hugging tightly. Both enjoyed the kiss, and they enjoyed each other, they wanted more.
"I think I'm in love you," Dinky said after breaking off.
"Don't stop, ah need more," Apple Bloom connected the kiss, the two locked in their intimacy.
Flash forward several days later, the two were once against kissing, laying on Apple Bloom's bed, the farmer girl on the bottom, using one foreleg to rub Dinky's back and the other to rub Dinky's flank.
"I hope you're ready for this Apple Bloom," Dinky said. "Because I'm about to show you pleasures you could only imagine."
"Don't think you'll be taking complete control tonight, this is an equal partnership, so you'll be equally pleasured," Apple Bloom said.
"I like the sound of that, now let's keep making out and see where it leads," Dinky said, resuming her kiss to her marefriend. Apple Bloom hugged the unicorn mare tight, rubbing her body all over as she rolled over so she was on top instead.
Dinky tried rolling back, wanting to take the lead for this session, lowering her hoof between Apple Bloom's legs, the filly squeaking in excitement. "H-hey, that's cheating!"
"Yeah well, I'm not afraid to play dirty," Dinky said, bringing her hoof toward her mouth and licking off the juices. "Tastes like apple, I think I know what I'm going to do first."
"What are you-mmph," Apple Bloom's question was cut off when Dinky silenced her with a kiss. Dinky laid her girlfriend on the bed, getting her nice and comfortable.
Dinky leaned down to her neck and started kissing there too, getting a few licks in, and some light nibbling. Dinky lowered down Apple Bloom's body, getting in a few licks and kisses on the way down until she was hovering over Apple Bloom's filly regions.
"An all you can eat buffet, just waiting for me, this is going to be my favorite brand of apple flavor," Dinky said.
"Come on, no way it actually tastes like apple, yer just imagining things," Apple Bloom said.
"Well I'm about to find out, so brace yourself missy," Dinky said as she lowered her head between Apple Bloom's legs, taking a few gentle licks of her region.
"Ah..." Apple Bloom winced. "That feels kinda funny...but really nice too."
Dinky stopped a moment, taking in the flavor, "That's so good, definitely apple flavored, I'm going full in."
"Wait does it actually-SWEET HEAVENS!" Apple Bloom arched back as Dinky went face first into her crotch, aggressively licking inside her walls. This feeling was a very surreal one for the farmer filly, a whirlpool of emotions circulating in her head.
Dinky stuck her tongue as deep as she could, being a filly herself she knew what sweet spots to hit, and she was hitting all of them with fierce tenacity. This really tasted sweet to Dinky, her marefriend really did have an apple like taste to her, probably from eating a lot of apples, which made her even more thirsty for her friend's 'cider'.
"Dinky, I'm about to...get ready, yer gonna get a hose of apple juice," Apple Bloom warned.
"Do it," Dinky said, having paused a moment. "Spray me, I want it!"
Dinky went back in hard, getting in deep inside Apple Bloom's flower. The filly squirmed a bit until she was ready to gift her marefriend the sweet taste of her fluids. "I'm cumming!"
As promised, Apple Bloom sprayed Dinky's mouth with her 'apple juice', a taste the mare absolutely loved. Dinky drank it all up and licked around Apple Bloom's crotch to get every last bit of it. "This is better than your family's Apple Cider."
"Much...appreciated..." Apple Bloom said, almost out of breath. "Boy...never felt anything like that."
Dinky laid stomach first next to Apple Blood, nuzzling against her cheek. "I can make it happen any time you want, I love you."
"I love ya too Dinky," Apple Bloom inched down toward Dinky's backside, lifting her marefriend up a little by her hindquarters. "So I'm gonna return the return the favor."
"That so," Dinky winked at Apple Bloom. "Then go for it."
"With pleasure," Apple Bloom said, taking a quick lick over Dinky's flower. She can't say that it taste like apple, but it was still very sweet tasting.
"Hey don't tease, really go in there," Dinky said.
"Now, now, you have your pace, and ah have mine," Apple Bloom said, taking another quick lick. "Ah like to enjoy mah meal, you just plowed through yers."
"Hey your vagina was tasty, can't blame me for that," Dinky said.
"I'm glad you found it so tasty, but fer me, I'm gonna take my time," Apple Bloom leaned in to continue licking, taking a much slower pace than Dinky did when she was in the lead.
"Sweet Celestia..." Dinky grabbed a pillow and hugged it tightly, feeling the swirling sensations of her marefriend's soft tongue.
Apple Bloom was definitely a bit more precise than Dinky, focusing much more on technique rather than pure, raw mouth work like Dinky did. Of course she enjoyed it but she felt like this approach was a bit better.
Apple Bloom stuck her tongue a bit further inside, going for the same sweet spots Dinky used on her, sending the mare's mind spiralling into a rush of pleasure.
"Are you sure this is your first time, you didn't experiment with Sweetie Belle or Scootaloo?" Dinky asked.
"Pretty much, I'm just winging it here," Apple Bloom said, resuming after her break.
"Well you're doing a damn good job," Dinky said, feeling some pressure in her lower waist. "Oh boy, here it comes. Apple Bloom, your face is gonna get splashed."
"I'm ready," Apple Bloom said, picking up the intensity a bit, relishing her girlfriend's tastes. As expected, her face was hit with a splash of Dinky's orgasm, Apple Bloom licking around to take everything in. "Hm...bit bitter but also with a hint of tanginess."
"Are you taste reviewing my cum?" Dinky asked.
"Well you compared mine to mah family's Apple Cider," Apple Bloom said, licking a bit more around Dinky's flower, including her cheeks. As a bonus she stuck her tongue between the two cheeks momentarily, getting a nice lick and a weird feeling for Dinky.
"Eek!" Dinky squirmed from the feeling. "Apple Bloom, that's my butt!"
"A cute butt," Apple Bloom teased.
"Well you're not wrong there," Dinky boasted. She turned around and shared a passionate kiss with her marefriend, getting her tongue deep inside the other filly's mouth, the two falling over with Dinky on top and still kissing Apple Bloom.
Apple Bloom started gently rubbing Dinky's flank, she liked how soft it felt, squishing it between her hooves. Dinky rolled over so that Apple Bloom was on top and she could fell her flank, which was pretty muscular.
"Having fun?" Apple Bloom asked as he broke off.
"Hey you started it," Dinky teased.
"Then let's finish it," Apple Bloom said, properly adjusting herself and her girlfriend so that her flower was aligned against Dinky's.
"Oh sweet Celestia..." Dinky moaned. "Whatever you're gonna do, just do it."
"Yer the boss," Apple Bloom said, rubbing their sexes together. Dinky felt a sharp pleasure run through her, her most precious area being in contact with Apple Bloom's, the slipperly liquids of her marefriend rubbing against her tenderness.
"I still can't believe you've never done this," Dinky said.
"Yer mah first, and hopefully mah last," Apple Bloom replied.
Dinky relished in the pleasure, moaning in bits as the sensations rushed through her body. "Oh boy...oh...oh damn..."
"Speechless?" Apple Bloom teased as she picked up the pace.
"Damn Apple Bloom...I love you so much...you really know how to make a girl happy," Dinky said, almost in tears from the sheer joy.
"Love ya too," Apple Bloom said, pickingu up her girlfriend carefully to not break the position and brought her in for a kiss. "Let's finish this together."
"Yeah, together," Dinky said, the two rubbing together once more, this time with Dinky doing her part.
Both girls rubbed hard against each other, trying not to make too much noise and alerting the others in the house, especially since they need to get up early for some farm work, Apple Bloom really was pushing it herself but it was worth it.
"I'm cumming," Dinky said.
"Same...let's do it together..." Apple Bloom said.
With a bit more of a push, both mares had released at the same time, against resisiting the urge to scream, both falling over and out of breath.
"That was so amazing," Dinky said. "Best moment of my life."
"First of many," Apple Bloom said, nuzzling against her special filly. "You were amazing tonight."
"Glad you liked it, because I certainly did," Dinky said.
With one final kiss, the two difted off to sleep, satisfied with their session, and dreaming of the day they can do it again.
The following morning Apple Bloom awoke to the sound of snoring. She looked to the side and saw her marefriend sleeping snuggly next to her. The night they shared together was one of the most magical moments for Apple Bloom, never has she felt such a magical burst of emotions.
Apple Bloom nuzzled Dinky, waking the girl up. "Oops, didn't mean to wake ya."
"It's fine Apple Bloom," Dinky yawned. "What a night."
"I'll say, yer quite good fer somepony who's never been with another filly," Apple Bloom said.
"Call it instinct," Dinky said. "I just did with you what I would want done with me, seems like you picked up quite well yourself."
"Guess I'm a fast learner," Apple Bloom said. "Well, better get a move on, got some farm work to do."
"Right, farm work...wait what time is it?" Dinky asked.
"It's pretty early, you can stay in bed fer now, ah gotta go help mah brother and sister," Apple Bloom said as she made her way out the door.
"If you say so, I'll get you something to eat later," Dinky said.
"Don't worry, really ate out great last night," Apple Bloom teased.
"Heh, same here, I won't find a tastier apple," Dinky said.
"You can have more later if ya want," Apple Bloom said, teasing Dinky with a rump shake.
"I look forward to that," Dinky said as her girlfriend left. The mare felt really proud in knowing she's dating such a nice filly, almost amazed at how their relationship has grown over the years. There was a time she really didn't like Apple Bloom, only because the mare was playing matchmaker and trying to mess up Rumble's relationship with Sweetie Belle.
Apple Bloom's grown since then, something she's quite admired about the girl. Now she gets to spend a lot of time with her, and if Dinky's lucky enough, even more than that. Her best friend was currently engaged to the filly of his dreams, now Dinky wants her turn someday. Though despite how long she's known Apple Bloom, it might be too soon in their relationship to think about proposing, but at least Dinky feels confident about the possibility.
Dinky drifted back to sleep, dreaming of the day she and Apple Bloom do get married, imagining it to be a wonderful ceremony, with Rumble by her side as she says her vows to Apple Bloom. They can even have kids someday, Apple Bloom already gave the go ahead to Rumble to be the seed donor, and there's no one Dinky trusts more than her best friend to do such a deed.
A couple of hours passed, Dinky was fully awake and had made her way out of Apple Bloom's room, heading toward the door leading outside.
"Finally awake missy?" Came the voice of Granny Smith.
"Ah!" Dinky tripped up a bit. "Oh, sorry, didn't expect to see you there."
"So, yer dating Apple Bloom now huh?" Granny Smith asked, not even minding Dinky's almost mishap.
"Y-yeah, I am, there's no problem right?" Dinky asked.
"None at all, fer now," Granny Smith said. "See, ah like to keep tabs on who mah grandchildren get with. Big Mac's been around quite a bit, so that boy was a hoofful. Thankfully he finally settled down with that school teacher."
"Yeah, I heard some ponies placed bets on who he would end up with," Dinky joked.
"Uh-huh..." Granny Smith didn't find too much humor in that. "Applejack's got some admirers but the girl has yet to really commit, not that I mind, she'll commit when she's ready."
"She's got plenty of options," Dinky said.
"Now fer you, ah know you and Apple Bloom have been friends fer many years," Granny Smith said.
"Yes we have, we went to school together, we did activities together, the two of us even did the Sisterhooves Social with each of our big sisters, she's a great girl," Dinky said.
"Ah know she is, she is my granddaughter after all," Granny Smith said. "But she's also a bit naïve to certain things, so she's the one I worry about the most when it comes to dating."
"Hey you don't have to worry about that, I love Apple Bloom and I'm gonna take good care of her," Dinky said.
"Ah hope so young filly," Granny Smith said. "But somehow I've got my doubts."
Dinky looked somewhat offended by that statement. "Uh, excuse me? What could you have to doubt about me?"
"Fer starters, yer a bit of a wildcard," Granny Smith said. "Apple Bloom can be too, but that ain't exactly a behavior ah want reinforced."
"What about me is a wildcard?" Dinky asked. "Like am I unpredictable or something?"
"In a way, ah know you've been awfully flirty with that Rumble boy the last few years," Granny Smith said.
"He's my best friend, it's a best friend thing," Dinky said. "It was never serious."
"Never serious huh? Is love just some game to you?" Granny Smith asked.
"N-no? I'm aware how serious it is," Dinky insisted. "Look me being with Apple Bloom is genuine, Rumble was never gonna happen but Apple Bloom is something I want to make happen."
"And why Apple Bloom? Just curious what drove you to her," Granny Smith said.
"Uh...I just like her?" Dinky said. "We talked and suddenly we realized that we like each other. I mean we've been friends for a few years, it's not that hard to believe."
"And you think that it's any different from being with that Rumble boy?" Granny Smith asked.
"Yeah it is, I swear," Dinky said. "Look I wouldn't mess with Apple Bloom like that, I told her that I liked her and I'm not gonna go back on it. I'm not gonna treat her like some filly that's worth just a few nights in bed or something, I want something from this. I really hope I can marry Apple Bloom someday and be part of this family."
"Well, I'm gonna hold you to that, you wanna be an Apple though, you gotta earn it," Granny Smith said. "Mah daughter-in-law set quite a high bar when she married mah son in secret."
"Right, think I heard about that, how they got married late at night," Dinky said.
"You know what impressed me about Buttercup?" Granny Smith asked, Dinky shrugging at the answer. "That she loved mah son so much, she went through heaps and hurdles to be with him. She risked everything, even the respect of her own dad because of how much she wanted to be with Bright Mac. I can't fully condone mah son being that sneaky, but looking back, ah understand why he had to do it, and I'm glad he did. Buttercup was a sweet mare and she was perfect for mah son. The two of them even blessed me with three beautiful grandchildren. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my boy and his lovely wife, which is why ah cherish the three treasures they left behind."
"I can understand that ma'am," Dinky said. "I really am sorry for what happened with Apple Bloom's parents, they sound like really good ponies."
"The best," Granny Smith said. "Please, just treat Apple Bloom with the same love that Buttercup treated mah son, and that Cheerilee is doing fer Big Mac."
"I will, I promise," Dinky said, doing a gesture of an oath.
"Good," Granny Smith said. "I'm sorry if you think I'm being judgmental, I just want what's best fer my granddaughter."
"I totally get that, I won't let you or her parents down," Dinky said. "To show that, I'm going to keep my promise and get her something nice to eat for the hard work she does."
"That is sweet of you dear," Granny Smith said. "Carry on."
Dinky wasted no time, she made her way out of the Apple Family house, passing by the fields that Big Macintosh, Applejack and Apple Bloom worked on, the latter noticing her marefriend. "Hey Dinky!"
"Sup Apple Bloom, gonna get you something nice to eat like I promised, be right back!" Dinky said as she made her way into town.
"That's nice of her," Applejack said. "You two happy together Apple Bloom?"
"Yeah, I really like Dinky, I think I can see a future fer us," Apple Bloom said.
"Well that makes me happy to hear," Applejack said. "Just remember, a relationship requires work on both ends."
"Ah know, that's why I'm gonna work hard as a farmer, to help provide fer Dinky and give her the sweet life she deserves, just like Big Mac is doing fer Miss Cheerilee," Apple Bloom said.
"She ain't yer teacher no more, she's yer sister in law," Applejack teased.
"Heh, sorry, I'm still too used to calling her that," Apple Bloom said.
"She don't mind it," Big Macintosh said., walking by with some apples. "You may be her sister-in-law and the aunt to her soon to be born child, but she loves having been yer teacher."
"She's a hard worker herself, several months pregnant and still teaching," Applejack said. "That's determination. Hopefully Dinky finds her own calling too, though nothing's stopping her from being a farmer like us."
"If there's anypony who can help Dinky realize what she wants to do in life, it's me," Apple Bloom boasted. "Like ah said, I'll take good care of mah marefriend."
Applejack was pleased to see how much her sister has grown up. Both of her siblings looked to be happy in life with their partners. Maybe she'll join that happiness, but for now, she's fine waiting a bit longer. Until her sister's fully into her adulthood, she'll keep an eye on her before she moves on and tries romance for herself.
Dinky trotted into town, trying to think of a place that she knows Apple Bloom would enjoy, "Let's see, maybe I can try Sugarcube Corner? No, that's more for desserts." She looked around a bit, hoping to find something good. "This is a bit tougher than I thought."
"Hi Dinky!" Came Sweetie Belle's voice. The mare turned to see her best friend's fiancé.
"Hey Sweetie Belle, you're looking great this morning," Dinky said.
"I had a really nice sleep yesterday," Sweetie Belle said. "It helps when you're with those you love, gets you really relaxed."
"What it Rumble? You two get it on some more?" Dinky teased.
"No, not exactly," Sweetie Belle said. "I was with Rumble yes, but also with Cozy Glow and Flurry Heart."
Dinky blinked in confusion. "Wow...uh, I understand Cozy Glow since she's carrying Rumble's baby and maybe he still wanted a bit more but Flurry Heart? Wow, I know she's growing pretty fast being an Alicorn but to already be active like that is-"
"None of us were 'active'!" Sweetie Belle bashfully insisted. "We just fell asleep together, that's all."
"Right...don't worry, I won't say anything," Dinky said, winking at her friend.
"Ugh, you're impossible," Sweetie Belle said. "Well I just wanted to say 'hi', and that I couldn't help but notice that you were looking for something, or somepony. If it's Apple Bloom then she should still be at home, probably farming."
"I know she's home, I was just at Sweet Apple Acres," Dinky said. "Right now I'm looking for a place to get some food for Apple Bloom."
"Wow, that's nice of you," Dinky said. "I take it you went there for a date and she was too busy then huh?"
"Oh I knew last night when we were having sex that she'd be busy today, so I already got most of my fill," Dinky said.
"...That was blunt," Sweetie Belle said, imagining the thought of the two getting physically intimate. "Have you two been doing that a lot?"
"It was our first time, it felt so amazing!" Dinky said, relishing the memory. "So I want to get Apple Bloom a nice breakfast to thank her for the delicious apple meal I had last night. It was better than Apple Cider because only I can have some."
"Alright can it with the dirty talk," Sweetie Belle said. "Still, reasons aside that is nice of you to do, but instead of buying something for Apple Bloom, maybe you should try making something for her."
"Make something?" Dinky asked. "That sounds like a neat idea and all, but I'm not much of a cook. I tried making muffins for Derpy once, it failed pretty badly."
"Hasn't Rumble taught you how?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"He tried to but I'm pretty hopeless," Dinky said.
"It should be worth the effort at least," Sweetie Belle said. "If I know Apple Bloom, she'll appreciate the effort."
"I hope you're right because I'd rather she not dump me because I gave her something that tastes like crap," Dinky said.
"Apple Bloom isn't that shallow, you should know that," Sweetie Belle said. "Anyway, I should go back inside, I'm helping watch over Flurry Heart while Rarity works on some dresses."
"Tell my little best bud I said 'hi'," Dinky said. "I'm gonna head home and see if I can work a miracle. Bye Sweetie Belle."
"Take care," Sweetie Belle said as Dinky trotted off. Sweetie Belle made her way back inside. "It's really nice that she and Apple Bloom are a couple now."
Off with Dinky, she had made her way back home. Upon entering she was greeted by her older sister. "Dinky!"
"Oh, hi sis," Dinky greeted back. "How's it-"
"Where have you been!?" Amethsyt Star asked. "You weren't in your room this morning!"
"I was at Apple Bloom's, I told you I was going there last night," Dinky explained.
"I didn't know you were gonna sleep there," Amethyst Star said, then narrowed her eyes. "Wait...was that all you did?"
Dinky blushed at the question, knowing full well she was doing more than just sleeping. "Th-that isn't any of your business!"
Amethyst Star had a feeling she knew what her sister did, but she wouldn't press it, not yet at least. "Well still, please don't just stay out like that, I know you're madly in love right now but don't let it lead you to irrational decisions."
"No promises," Dinky joked, getting a deadpanned glare from her sister.
"I'm serious, don't screw around with this," Amethyst Star said. "Fortunately I trust Apple Bloom to keep you in line."
Dinky huffed in annoyance, "Well if you're done I need to get to the kitchen now." Dinky began trotting into the room in question. "I have some food to make."
"You? Make food?" Amethyst Star asked. "Since when do you cook?"
"Since...now," Dinky said as she entered the kitchen, her older sister right behind her. "Apple Bloom's currently working on her farm and she could use a nice meal. I'd like to get that done sooner than later."
"Dinky, you're not really much of a cook," Amethyst Star said. "I mean, it's really nice that you want to do that for her but cooking isn't your strong suit.
"It wasn't my first choice but I ran into Sweetie Belle and she told me that when one pony cooks for the pony they love, it means more than just buying food," Dinky said, bringing over some ingredients to the counter. "And that's what I'm gonna do."
"Sweetie Belle? Didn't you once tell me that she can't cook? That she burnt everything?" Amethyst Star said.
"Huh? I never told you that," Dinky replied.
"Oh, guess I overhead it from Rumble then," Amethyst Star said. "Hey how has he been doing lately? I heard he and Sweetie Belle got back together."
"Yeah, they're getting married," Dinky explained.
"Oh right! Do they need a planner? I'd be more than happy to help, especially little Rumble, that boy's a sweetheart," Amethyst Star gushed a bit. "He's grown into quite a handsome pony too, not that I'm surprised, he was always so adorable."
"Well they are still planning the wedding, if you want to ask if you can assist then you're more than welcome too, Rumble would probably like having someone he knows," Dinky said.
"I still wish it were you and Rumble though," Amethyst Star said. "I thought you were gonna hook up at one point."
"It wouldn't work out," Dinky said, getting everything properly sorted. "Rumble's way out of my league anyway, he's better off with Sweetie Belle. Plus I'm happy with Apple Bloom so everyone wins."
"Well as long as you're happy, just remember what I said earlier about not screwing up," Amethyst Star reminded.
"Yeah, yeah, I heard ya," Dinky said. "Now, time to get to work on my plan to keep Apple Bloom happy."
"I'll leave you be then, I gotta get to work," Amethyst Star said as she left. "Don't destroy the kitchen though!"
"Please, how hard could making some flapjacks be?" Dinky said as she grabbed an egg.
Within the span of 30 minutes, there was flour all over the counter, the water faucet was stuck on running, cracked eggs were all over the counter, walls and on Dinky's head, the drinks were spilt and to top it all off, the toast was stuck in the toaster and it was starting to smoke.
"How in Equestria did all this happen1?" Dinky wondered, trying to get everything fixed up. She focused more on the toaster, unplugging it and picking it up to bang on the back, knocking the two pieces of toast out. "And they're burnt, of course."
"What happened in here!?" Came a voice. She turned to see her old foalsitter at the doorway.
"Derpy!?" Dinky said in surprise.
Derpy quickly flew over to check on the running water. She tried turning it off but saw that the faucet was damaged. "Your sister is not gonna like this, neither are your parents."
"Tell me something I don't know," Dinky said, trying to figure everything out.
"Well I can call a plumber to this this, though that leaves the rest of the mess," Derpy said. "Better grab some mops."
"I'm on it," Dinky said, trotting to the closet and grabbing the cleaning supplies. Fortunately the mess wasn't too bad but it was still quite the inconvenience.
Within minutes the two were working together on cleaning up the mess, Derpy wiping the counters while Dinky was mopping.
"Were you trying to cook?" Derpy asked.
"Yeah, I was," Dinky sheepishly answered.
"I don't think you've cooked much since the time you tried making muffins," Derpy said. "A gesture I appreciated but it was quite a big mess."
"I wanted to cook something for Apple Bloom, as a token on my love for her," Dinky explained. "It was Sweetie Belle's idea actually but I still wanted to at least try."
"Your heart's in the right place, but maybe you should have tried something a bit simpler," Derpy suggested.
"Its flapjacks, how do you get simpler than that? A microwavable dish?" Dinky asked. "I was probably better off just buying something, she would have gotten her food by now."
"You just need a bit more practice, maybe try getting Rumble to help, he's great at cooking," Derpy said.
"Yeah, everyone knows that, he's even gotten better than his older brother," Dinky said. "Plus it was thanks to him that you got the muffins I wanted to give you on your birthday."
"They were the best muffins I've had in my life," Derpy dreamily sighed. "Rumble's such a great chef, and he's really handsome too."
"Wow, Rumble's popular with a lot of older girls," Dinky said. "Guess if Twilight could have a younger husband all the mares probably want one."
"That's...one way to put it," Derpy said, feeling a bit strange. "But my point still stands, if you want to make something for Apple Bloom, you're gonna have to practice first. Cooking is not as easy as it looks."
"Learned that the hard way," Dinky dejectedly said.
"Hm...wait here a moment," Derpy said, flying out of the room. Within a few seconds she returned with a muffin. "You can take this to Apple Bloom."
"Your muffin? Derpy I know how much you love those, I can't take one from you," Dinky said.
"I do love muffins, but I love you more," Derpy said, rubbing Dinky's head. "Take this too her, it may not be much at first glance but coming from you, it will mean the world."
"Aw, you're the best Derpy," Dinky said, pulling her friend in for a hug.
"Anything for you Dinky," Derpy said, returning the hug. After a few seconds the two broke away. "Now you have a muffin to deliver to your sweetheart."
"You got it," Dinky said, placing the muffin in a bag. "Boy is Apple Bloom gonna love this!"
Dinky had dashed out, leaving Derpy all to herself as she looked around the kitchen, "Gee, probably should have waited until after we cleaned up to send her off...eh, it shouldn't take too long to fix."
Dinky made her way back to Sweet Apple Acres, though on the way there she passed by Rarity's Boutique yet again, where this time she was greeted by another friend.
"Hey Dinky!" Rumble had come out, taking the mare by a very pleasant surprise.
"Hey Rumble, heard you had a foursome last night, how was it?" Dinky asked.
"Well I...wait foursome?" Rumble asked.
"Yeah, you, Sweetie Belle, Cozy Glow and Flurry Heart," Dinky said.
"Dinky, we just slept in the same bed, you have such a dirty mind sometimes," Rumble said.
"Says the pony who fondled me quite a bit before getting back together with Sweetie Belle," Dinky teased. "Not that I minded, I did enjoy your sensual approach."
"Let's move on please," Rumble said, somewhat uncomfortable. "You seem to be off to someplace in a hurry.
"Yeah, heading back to Sweet Apple Acres, I got a little something for Apple Bloom," Dinky said.
"Right, Sweetie Belle mentioned you wanting to get her breakfast, or at least mid-morning meal," Rumble said. "Did you actually cook for her?"
Dinky sheepishly rubbed her head. "I tried to...it wasn't that successful. But it's fine, Derpy bailed me out." Dinky pulled out a muffin. "She gave me this."
"Wow, says a lot when Derpy gives you her muffin, of course she loves you like a little sister so it makes sense," Rumble said.
"Derpy means a lot to me as well, she's as important to me as Applejack is to Apple Bloom," Dinky said as she put the muffin away. "Well I should get this to the mare that I love, I'll catch you later on Rumble."
"You got it Dinky, and if you do need help making something for Apple Bloom, you know where to find me," Rumble said.
"I can always count on you," Dinky said, trotting off. "Have fun with those girls, and take it easy with Flurry, she's kind of small."
"Stop saying that I had sex with Flurry Heart!" Rumble called out to Dinky. He turned around to face the door an noticed that Shining Armor had just arrived with Cadance, Twilight and Tender Taps, the four looking rather confused. "How long were you there?"
"Where's...my...daughter!?" Shining Armor asked, looking quite furious.
"...Just so you know, I really didn't do that deed with Flurry," Rumble said.
"My daughter! NOW!" Shining Armor demanded.
"Yes sir!" Rumble quickly dashed into the house.
Shining Armor groaned in annoyance, "Ponyville's such a weird place nowadays."
"It has gone downhill since Twilight moved back to Canterlot," Tender Taps admitted.
"You're only saying that because you missed me," Twilight teased and kissed her fiancé. "But I missed you too so I know how you feel."
Shining Armor groaned, he wanted to just take his daughter and go back home.
Dinky had returned to Sweet Apple Acres, looking around for her marefriend. "Apple Bloom! Got something for ya!"
"Huh?" Apple Bloom stopped what she was doing a moment to focus her attention on her marefriend. "Oh, yer back Dinky. Wait, you got something fer me? Oh, did you get something fer me to eat?"
Dinky trotted over and pulled out a muffin, "Ta-da, I was hoping for something a bit nicer but this was the best I could do."
"Oh, a muffin, neat," Apple Bloom said, grabbing the pastry and taking a bite. The taste was rather exquisite for her. "Oh my, how delicious."
"You can thank Derpy, she gave that to me for you," Dinky said. "Wish I could have made you something personally but that didn't work out as planned."
"It's still sweet of you to do fer me, ah really appreciate you getting me some food, ah was pretty hungry," Apple Bloom said, taking another bite out of the muffin. "Stick around and I'll return the favor."
"Oh you don't have to, I just wanted to do something nice for my hard working marefriend," Dinky said.
"Well ah wanna do nice fer my thoughtful marefriend," Apple Bloom said, finishing up her muffin. "Make yerself comfortable inside, I'll be done in an hour or so."
"Is it alright to leave you out here working?" Dinky asked.
"Don't worry, it ain't that grueling, I'll be fine," Apple Bloom said.
"Alright, if you insist," Dinky said, making her way into the home where the Apple Family resided as Apple Bloom resumed her work. Dinky took a look back, seeing her marefriend all sweaty from her job just reminds her how much work she puts into the farm. Something about seeing a hard working filly just filled her with glee.
An hour had passed, a bit too slowly for Dinky, though the eagerness of Apple Bloom repaying her kindness had kept her very interested in what was to come.
Her patience had paid off as Apple Bloom had come into the house, gesturing the mare to follow. "Come meet me in the kitchen."
Dinky made no hesitation to follow after her marefriend, curious to see what the girl had planned. Once in the kitchen, Apple Bloom had pulled out a nice mini apple pie. "This is fer you, to repay yer kindness."
"A little apple pie?" Dinky asked.
"Granny Smith worked on this when you went into town, since you were doing something nice fer me, she wanted to do something fer you," Apple Bloom said. "I even helped a bit, this was in between my outside chores."
"Aw, you didn't have to though, I got you something because I just felt like doing something nice for you," Dinky said.
"Well now ah wanna do something fer you," Apple Bloom said. "Plus it was mostly mah granny's idea, this is her way of welcoming you into the family."
"Sweet, now I'm an apple," Dinky said. She then took a bite out of the pie, relishing the delightful taste. "Wow, this is great! You helped make this?"
"Granny says I have the gifts of an Apple Family cook," Apple Bloom said. "Soon I'll be making you treats all my own."
"I totally look forward to that," Dinky said, then stroked her marefriend's mane. "Of course, no apple can taste as good as you."
"D-dinky, mah family's nearby, you want them to get funny ideas about us?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Sorry, can't help it," Dinky said. "You're just so cute I can't help but relish the thought of being intimate with you. Last night truly was magical for me, something I can't recreate with a spell."
"It was magical fer me too, you really made me feel special," Apple Bloom said.
"Good, cause you are," Dinky leaned in for a kiss to her filly. "And that's just how I want you to feel, and how I want your family to know how I feel when it comes to you. I love you Apple Bloom, and I want to stay together forever.:
"I love you too Dinky," Apple Bloom said. "Ah want to stay together with you as well."
"Heh, it's actually funny how this worked out, all these years and I never thought the two of us would end up together," Dinky said. "Seems like just the other day the two of us were butting heads over who Rumble should be dating."
"Oh yeah, our matchmaking days," Apple Bloom said. "Well not everypony starts off friends, sometimes they can be our enemies. Take Diamond Tiara, she wasn't always mah friend, there was a point where we didn't like each other."
"Nopony liked her, you weren't the only one she gave a hard time to, she used to do the same to me," Dinky said. "Aside from Silver Spoon I can't think of a single foal who liked her, and even Silver Spoon she nearly threw away during that Class President Campaign."
"It's thanks to that we realized Diamond Tiara wasn't as bad as we thought, she was just under a lot of pressure from her mom, which honestly is really awful to think about," Apple Bloom said. "Of course ah put her under similar pressure when ah told her to say mean things to Sweetie Belle and Rumble that one time."
"That dork Button Mash was there too, boy did he have an annoying crush on Sweetie Belle," Dinky said.
"Come on, he ain't so bad, he's really nice when you get to know him," Apple Bloom said. "He's just a little...eccentric. Babs seems to like that about him."
"Right, heard they hooked up, though I really can't believe it," Dinky said. "He's a gaming nerd and she's a rough and tough gal."
"Babs really isn't that tough, she puts on an act sometimes but she's really soft hearted," Apple Bloom said. "It's her way of surviving in the city after all."
"Hey if we're lucky, Button will move into the city with her and we won't have to put him with him any longer," Dinky said.
"Dinky, come on now," Apple Bloom scolded.
"What can I say? Never liked Button Mash, Sweetie Belle should thank me for helping her avoid that mess," Dinky said.
"Ah still think he's a nice boy and he's really good with Babs," Apple Bloom said. "But ah do agree, he and Sweetie Belle probably wouldn't have been that compatible, though if he's this good with Babs he might have been good with Sweetie Belle too."
"Well what matters is that everypony found their true love," Dinky said. "I have you, Rumble has Sweetie Belle, Babs has Button Mash, even Tender Taps has Twilight."
"Honestly all that's left is Scootaloo, and maybe Cozy Glow, though she's gonna be tough since she's pregnant with Rumble's foal, that and not a lot of ponies are gonna be that comfortable around her given the fact that she was once a villain," Apple Bloom said.
"Think she and Scootaloo could hook up?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Ah don't think so, ah mean I don't think Cozy Glow is into girls, Scootaloo might be since she once told me she had a crush on Sweetie Belle," Apple Bloom quickly covered her mouth. "Oops, that was suppose to be a secret."
"Wait, Scootaloo liked Sweetie Belle?" Dinky asked. "So two of her crushes hooked up with each other?"
"Y-yeah, basically," Apple Bloom said. "Look please don't tell her ah told you, she asked me to keep it a secret. She never pursued Sweetie Belle fer the same reason you never pursued Rumble, she didn't want to lose her friendship."
"I can respect and relate to that," Scootaloo said.
"Anyway it wasn't that big of a crush, so it's not like she feels as if she missed out," Apple Bloom said. "Last I talked to her, she isn't that interested in finding a significant other."
"Alright, we'll leave it to her then, when she's ready to find love, we'll be ready to help her," Dinky said.
"Of course, though I'm hoping to find somepony for Applejack too," Apple Bloom said. "Ah got me a list of stallions that ah think would compliment mah sister nicely."
"I can even ask my sister if she knows anypony who'd be interested," Dinky said.
"Then it's settled, we're gonna get Applejack hooked up," Apple Bloom said.
"Excuse me, do ah get a say this?" Came the voice of Applejack, the older mare walking into the kitchen, startling the two other mares a moment.
"Oh, sis, uh how much did you hear?" Apple Bloom sheepishly asked.
"Enough to warn you not to get all match-maker like, especially fer me," Applejack said. "Don't get me wrong, ah appreciate you wanting to help but let me worry about who ah date and when it happens. Right now ah gotta focus on the farm, and keeping and eye on you little missy."
"Don't let me stop you, even Big Mac found somepony," Apple Bloom said.
"I'll keep an eye on Apple Bloom," Dinky reassured.
"Ah appreciate the help there Dinky, but I'll hold onto to that job title a little bit longer before ah let you fully take over," Applejack said. "Still, yer a nice filly and very thoughtful to my little sis, so maybe it won't be too long before I trust you with her completely."
"Then I have a new goal," Dinky said. "I promise to fully earn your trust. Bold as this might be to say, I hope to marry Apple Bloom someday, and I'm ready for the first steps needed."
"That's good, but remember, I'm not the only one you need to impress, Big Mac may be married himself but he's still a big brother, and more than anything he wants to make sure both his little sisters are happy," Applejack said. "So, just a safety tip, don't upset Big Mac by doing something to upset Apple Bloom."
"I'm no fool, I wouldn't tick off either one of you," Dinky said.
"Alright, I'll leave you two be," Applejack said, exiting the kitchen. "Ah hope you two really do find happiness together though."
Right now Dinky was feeling some relief in the fact that Applejack really was giving their relationship a chance, and worry about living up to the mare's expectations.
"So, you wanna marry me huh?" Apple Bloom asked, getting Dinky's attention.
"Yeah, one day," Dinky said. "We'll get married have have kids, hopefully lots of them."
"You make it seem like we can do that part on our own," Apple Bloom joked. "Ah mean, we can do the deed all we want, we're still gonna need some help on getting them kids We're basically two fields, don't matter how close we are, we can't grow nothing without seeds."
"Well I did suggest Rumble and you seemed cool with it," Dinky said. "Or are you having second thoughts?"
"If Rumble's alright with it, then I'm good with him fathering our children, though do you want it to be just Rumble?" Apple Bloom asked. "Ah mean, if we have a lot of kids, it might be an inconvenience to him."
"Sex with one of two hot fillies, maybe both, is not an inconvenience to any stallion," Dinky said.
"Keep in mind he has a fiancé and is going to be in a married life, he shouldn't be an automatic go to pony fer babies," Apple Bloom said.
"Should we try anypony else then?" Dinky asked, taking another bite out of the pie. "Like maybe Tender Taps?"
"Eh...that might be awkward fer me," Apple Bloom said. "Though maybe after some time ah might get used to the idea.
Who's gonna carry the baby though?"
"Good question, whichever one of us is alright with letting Rumble work his magic on," Dinky said.
"If he gives us babies, that would make him a father to yet another child that Sweetie Belle didn't have," Apple Bloom said.
"Well the difference is that it's our baby, he just gave us the seeds," Dinky said. "Not like the situation with Cozy Glow."
"Maybe...still it might be weird fer him and Sweetie Belle. I'm alright with him but let's not expect him to help out with this," Apple Bloom said. "Actually though, depending on who's carrying the baby, maybe we can even get some cousins of mine to help, like if you had the baby, then it would still have Apple Family DNA."
"That I'll need to think about," Dinky said, finishing up her pie. "If we do go that route then I'd want your cousin Braeburn to help, with his looks our baby would be totally gorgeous."
"We got time anyway," Apple Bloom said, grabbing Dinky's plate and taking it to the sink. "It's piling up in here, better take care of these dishes."
"Oh, I can help with that, you're probably tired from the farm work," Dinky said.
"It's fine," Apple Bloom said, turning on the sink. "I'm used to this."
As she began scrubbing the dishes, Dinky scooted alongside her, grabbing a dirty dish to wash. "At least let me help. Should the day come where we do get married, I want to be able to help you even with chores."
"That's kind of you, ah think I'm really lucky to have a mare like you by mah side," Apple Bloom said.
"I'm the one who's lucky, because I fell in love with a mare like you, and you actually returned that love," Dinky said, then planted a kiss on Apple Bloom's cheek. "You're so adorable."
"Aw, yer too kind," Apple Bloom said, blushing from the affection as she resumed washing the dishes side by side with her loving marefriend.
Later that night, it was time for Dinky to say good-bye to Apple Bloom. "Thanks for having me over, pretty much since yesterday."
"Any time," Apple Bloom said. "Ah should be done work the remaining farm work by tomorrow afternoon, we'll go see a movie together."
"Sweet, I got one in mind already," Dinky said, then kissed her marefriend goodnight. "See ya tomorrow."
Dinky trotted back home, leaving Apple Bloom in a state of pleasure and satisfaction. "Starting to understand why Rumble and Sweetie Belle were always so lovey-dovey back in the day, being with somepony really gets the emotions going."
"That so?" Came Applejack's voice, the mare was joined by Big Mac and a pregnant Cheerilee. "What about when you dated Tender Taps?"
"That felt different, ah don't think ah was in love with Tender Taps," Apple Bloom said. "Dinky I'm in love with though, so ah actually relate to Sweetie Belle now more than ah did then."
"It's nice that you found somepony Apple Bloom, I'm really happy for you," Cheerilee said. "I can tell Dinky loves you a lot as well, just from the look in her eyes every time she sees you."
"She's a good kid, little wild though," Big Mac said. "You keep an eye on her and make sure she dont get too crazy now."
"I'll be fine, ah trust Dinky," Apple Bloom said.
"As you should, that's the basis of a good relationship, romantic or not," Applejack said.
"Communication is important too, and so far you're really good at that," Cheerilee said. "You've come a long way since you were one of my students, I'm so happy seeing you grow into such a fine young mare."
"Well ah owe a lot to all three of you, mah big brother, mah big sister and mah teacher," Apple Bloom said.
"You're forgetting the most important pony, yourself," Big Mac said. "You have the instinct and common sense to make the right choices in life, you're such a smart filly Apple Bloom."
"Am ah really? I did make a lot of mistakes growing up," Apple Bloom said.
"Come on Apple Bloom, yer smart enough to know everypony makes mistakes, ah make mistakes too, and you've always bounced back from yers, even if it takes a couple of tries," Applejack said.
"Mistakes are part of learning, I believe I taught you that myself," Cheerilee said. "I remember how worried you were when you got a poor grade on a quiz, you thought it was the end of the world. In the end it motivated you to do better, sometimes mistakes help us grow."
"And it helped you grow into a pony that anyone can admire," Applejack said. "Really proud of you little sis."
"Aw, thanks," Apple Bloom trotted over, embracing her sister, brother and former teacher in a group hug. "Y'all are the best."
"So are you little sis," Applejack said. "We're rooting fer you and Dinky to find true happiness together."
From the end of the room, Granny Smith could see her family all bonded together. It brought a smile on her face as she turned away, making her way to a nearby window. The old mare glance at the stars in the sky, seeing two in particular falling down. "Bright Mac, Buttercup, ah hope you know just how well yer kids are doing. Yer son is a fine young stallion who's about to be a father himself. Your oldest daughter is a hero this land admires, and is leaving a lasting legacy fer young generations. Your youngest daughter, she just found her special somepony, and ah do hope they find happiness together soon." Granny Smith wiped her eyes, "Ah miss you both so much, but soon my time on this world may come to an end, and I can see you both again. I'll have so many stories to tell you, but ah think ah got time fer one more. Fer now yer kids still need me, and I ain't leaving them without their grandma when there's still some things left ah can do fer them."
The night passed on by, the Apples getting ready for bed and Apple Bloom returning to the very bed where just the night prior, she and Dinky physically expressed their love for one another. It was such a lovely moment, just just the feeling she felt from the actions, but also the love behind those actions.
To bond like that is a special moment after all, some ponies do it for just the pleasure, Apple Bloom did it out of love and thats what made it more special, unlike what she's heard from other ponies. Even Scootaloo's first time was more for the feeling than anything, at least that's what Apple Bloom was told.
But she relents, she's just happy she gets to be with Dinky, perhaps they will be lucky enough to get married someday, and she hopes that someday isn't too far away.
At Dinky's house, she too already missed Apple Bloom, being in love the way he was made being away from Apple Bloom much harder. She felt the need to be with her always, and she would move to Sweet Apple Acres if she could. Of course that would likely mean farm work but she'll endure that just to be with Apple Bloom.
Twilight's castle was once again a haven for love, the mare laid in bed with her precious fiancé Tender Taps, the two having their own love saga of acceptance, one that Twilight isn't sure is over. She still needs to explain to her country that she will soon be wed, but she'll deal with that later, for now she just wanted to lay in bed with her stallion.
Flurry had gone home earlier that day, having such a nice night with her friends, especially two ponies of particular. While she liked Sweetie Belle and didn't mind the mare too much, even if she was marrying her crush, Rumble would always take some precedence over her and many other ponies.
Flurry relished the idea of having spend the night with Rumble and wants to do it again. She truly loved Rumble, or so she felt, and still wished it were her he would be marrying.
But in addition to Rumble, Flurry feels a special connection to Cozy Glow. Something about that filly made Flurry Heart just as happy as Rumble usually makes her feel. Maybe it's just from her missing Cozy Glow since she got turned into stone, maybe it's just pity out of how hard it was for Cozy to make friends, or maybe it really was just from how soft she felt when she used her stomach as a pillow.
Regardless, one of those reasons motivated her to wanna kiss Cozy Glow, and she very much liked that kiss, almost as much as getting a kiss from Rumble. Flurry really wants to see Cozy Glow again soon to explore those feelings a bit more, and she hopes to have that chance in the near future.
Back in Ponyville, Rumble was laying sound asleep in bed with Sweetie Belle snuggled next to him. Cozy Glow, who usually sleeps in Rarity's room, had snuck inside briefly.
Ever so quiet, she trotted to Rumble's side, floating beside him as she leaned in for a shared kiss with the sleeping colt. "I still love you Rumble, that is a hard fact to change. It pains me that we're not together but...it's something I must accept."
Cozy snuck out of the room, grateful that Rumble didn't accidentally awaken. However, unbeknownst to her, Sweetie Belle had seen everything, the filly peeking her head up and slightly glaring at the door where Cozy Glow had just left.
"Sneaky filly, though I guess I can't blame her," Sweetie Belle muttered. She looked to Rumble, the colt sleeping soundly, it was adorable in the eyes of Sweetie Belle. Leaning in she planted a kiss of her own to her fiancé. "Rumble, your looks are as much of a curse for me as it is a blessing. Guess I'll have to find some way to deal with Cozy Glow."
Rumble mumbled a bit in his sleep, something Sweetie Belle found adorable as she laid back down, cuddled against her loving colt. Whatever the situation with Cozy Glow, she'll figure out in the morning. Right now she needed some rest.
