When it comes to love and romance, one could argue that Scootaloo hasn't had the best of luck. Hard as she tries, she has struck out whenever it came to romance.

She fell in love with Rumble as a foal, hoping that he would be the one she could call her coltfriend. But her shyness at the time really prevented anything from happening, and as a result, she lost out for two very glaring reasons.

For starters, not only did Rumble not have any romantic interest in her, he was already in love with Sweetie Belle. To make matters worse for her, Sweetie Belle actually returned his love after a plan that had backfired. What stared out as Sweetie Belle trying to get information about Rumble for Scootaloo to use ended up with her falling in love right back with Rumble.

For the longest time, Scootaloo had to deal with the fact that she lost out on the colt she loved to her best friend, and while she wanted to be mad at Sweetie Belle, fact is that Scootaloo had nopony to blame but herself.

She attempted to move on to Tender Taps, though after some time, she came to realize that he and her weren't really compatible with one another, plus he was having his own struggles between having a small crush on Apple Bloom and being fully in love with Twilight.

When Rumble and Sweetie Belle initially broke up, that seemed like a good chance for Scootaloo to move in and try to date Rumble. Of course he ended up going with Cozy Glow, which ended once the filly got turned into stone alongside the other villains.

Rumble hadn't moved on since, and every other filly, Sweetie Belle included, didn't bother going for Rumble, and in that time it seemed like the closest Rumble came to dating a filly was one that lived in Hope Hollow, that being Barley Barrel.

While Rumble and Barley didn't last, Scootaloo did eventually get her chance, one she really had been waiting for. She had asked out Rumble yet again, and the two did start dating for a little bit.

This was a bit different for the two, since their relationship lasted a little bit longer than the norm, it wasn't like those other dates that were a day or two. The first time all Scootaloo was was a pity kiss, the second time she got to actually make out with him, and he did seem to enjoy it to the point where he actively rubbed all over her body.

This time, Scootaloo got so much more than she had originally. It started about two years before the villains returned. Rumble and Scootaloo were sitting together in Sugarcube Corner, the two enjoying a nice milkshake.

"Thanks for agreeing to to come here," Scootaloo said. "I know how picky you can be about sweets."

"I stopped caring a long time ago," Rumble said, taking a sip. "There's no point to it."

"Hey come on now, what's with the moody attitude?" Scootaloo asked.

"Sorry, don't mean to be," Rumble said, not feeling his usual cheer.

It was no secret that Rumble hasn't been entirely the same since not only his break-up with Sweetie Belle, but seeing Cozy Glow turned into a stone statue. She can't blame Rumble, even she can barely stand to see Cozy Glow in such a state. Evil as she was, she was still a young girl close to her own age, and Scootaloo feels like she could have done more for her friend.

"Hey Rumble, you haven't talked much about your Wonderbolts career," Scootaloo said. "Are you still going to join?"

"Uh...maybe," Rumble said. "Truth is I haven't been practicing as much as I should."

"Isn't that your biggest goal though? To be a Wonderbolt?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yeah, it was," Rumble said. "It's just been a bit tough for me lately, for a while I stopped practicing because I lost the motivation to, and when I tried again, I just kept flopping. I don't think I'll ever get the opportunity to become a Wonderbolt."

"Hey come on, you gotta have a bit more faith than that," Scootaloo said. "Things are hard but sometimes the Journey is what makes it fun. It took me forever to earn my Cutie Mark, but I still had fun trying to get it, despite messing up a lot."

"Yeah but you had friends backing you up, I mean you girls could make fools of yourselves and it would be fine because you weren't alone," Rumble said.

"Hey you have friends too Rumble," Scootaloo reminded.

"Only Dinky, I blew it with Sweetie Belle, Tender Taps doesn't trust me, I made out with Apple Bloom and every other girl so it's really awkward around them, Cozy Glow got turned into stone, all I had were the Barrel Twins, and they don't even live in town," Rumble said.

"I'm still here, and we've made out a few times, do you feel awkward around me?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well sometimes but, maybe it's because you play it so cool, so I feel a bit more comfortable around you," Rumble said. "All the other girls, not so much."

"I'm kind of flattered that you consider me cool," Scootaloo said.

"Is it that much of a surprise?" Rumble asked. "Your scooter skills are amazing, you have a great sense in style, you're easily the coolest of the Crusaders, nothing against Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle, but you have that aroma to you that the others don't have."

"Well it helps that I got lessons from Rainbow Dash," Scootaloo slightly boasted. "Nopony is cooler than her."

"Right, Rainbow Dash, real cool..." Rumble said, somewhat dejectedly.

Scootaloo cringed a bit, she should have remembered that Rumble hasn't been that fond of the Elements of Harmony lately given their treatment of Cozy Glow. "Hey, sorry for just bringing her up like that."

"Don't be, she's like your sister, and I know you love her a lot," Rumble said. "It's alright if you still care about her and look up to her, especially since your parents travel a lot, it's good to have somepony who will care about you and watch over you."

"That's really nice of you to say Rumble," Scootaloo said.

"Yeah well, I'm not happy with Twilight, Rainbow Dash or the others, but that doesn't mean that I'll completely ignore their good qualities," Rumble said. "That's why I'm so disappointed, I expected better from them."

"Hey it might not be forever, I mean Twilight can still at least free Cozy Glow and the others, especially Sonata," Scootaloo said.

"If she hasn't done it by now then I doubt she would, it's already been a few years," Rumble said. "Wouldn't be surprised if Twilight forgot about them."

"I don't think Twilight would be that careless," Scootaloo said. "Hey if anything you can try requesting it sometime soon."

"Would she even listen to me?" Rumble asked.

"Better than not trying at all," Scootaloo pointed out.

"Guess you're right," Rumble said, finish up his shake. "Well I'm done."

Scootaloo finished up her shake as well, "Same here."

"I'm gonna go stretch my wings a bit, you wanna join?" Rumble asked.

"Yeah I'm come, mostly to work on my scooter skills," Scootaloo said.

"Ever think of going pro?" Rumble asked. "You're really talented, it would feel like a waste if you didn't."

"It's fine, my stuff on the scooter is more of a hobby rather than something I want to get serious with," Scootaloo said. "Believe it or not, I think I wanna be a teacher."

"Is it because of those tutoring sessions you do at Twilight's school?" Rumble asked.

"Yeah, Rainbow Dash tells me I have the gift," Scootaloo said.

"Well if you got the gift, then go for it," Rumble said. "I'm one hundred percent behind you on that."

"You're always such a good buddy Rumble," Scootaloo said. "This is why I like hanging out with you."

"Thanks, I like hanging out with you too," Rumble said. "You're a great friend Scootaloo, seems like we have so many things in common. We both like speed, we both think the Wonderbolts, we both have older siblings we want to be like."

"And we've both been given the wrong gender on occasion," Scootaloo joked.

"Right, that's embarrassing," Rumble said. "Though I never once mistook you for a colt, you've always looked like a filly to me."

"Same, you've never looked much like a filly," Scootaloo said. "I always knew you were a colt, at one point you were the dreamiest colt I knew."

"You actually thought I was dreamy?" Rumble asked, almost in disbelief.

"Is it that hard to believe?" Scootaloo asked. "You're popular with fillies, most girls I know would jump at the chance to be with you."

"Too bad I'm so bad with romance," Rumble said.

"Hey you're not bad, you just had bad luck," Scootaloo said. "Don't worry about it, you'll bounce back, there's always a filly."

"You're pretty encouraging, considering you have eyes for me," Rumble said.

"Well yeah, but let's face it, seems like no matter what I try, the two of us won't connect," Scootaloo said. "Like, we're just not meant to be together."

"If I'm being honest, I've always been surprised about that," Rumble said. "Like I said earlier, we have a lot in common, it feels like maybe we could have been an item. Yet, for the longest time, I only saw you as a friend, and nothing more. Even when I tried dating you, I just didn't feel anything. I really wish I could though."

"You want to feel that way about me?" Scootaloo asked.

"Sweetie Belle was a failure, so was Cozy Glow, I feel like if there's a filly I'm meant to be with, then it's you," Rumble said. "I want to like you that way, I just need a little push."

"Hm...I think I know a way," Scootaloo said, a hint of a blush on her face. "Come by my place later, around sunset."

"Sure...wait what about stretching our wings?" Rumble asked.

"Well, let's just say that for what I have in mind, we're gonna need a lot of energy for it," Scootaloo said, quickly trotting off to hide her blush. "See you later Rumble!"

"Uh, sure, see ya," Rumble said, somewhat confused. Though the more he thought about it, the more he started to have an idea of what Scootaloo might be alluding to. Curiosity did start to overtake him as he began to trot off, wondering what was to come.

Later on as promised, Rumble had made his way over to Scootaloo's home. He was let in by the filly in question, "Good, you're here, wait in the living room a moment, I just gotta finish setting up."

"Sure, alright," Rumble said, looking around. "Where are your aunts?"

"They went out for dinner, they won't be back for a while," Scootaloo said, going back to her room. "We got the place to ourselves tonight, so get comfortable."

Rumble did as told, plopping himself on a couch. Seems like Scotaloo was setting something up, somewhat elaborately for her to be going through some trouble. He wonders if she may have encouraged her aunts to leave or if they just happened to be going out anyway.

For Rumble, tonight may be his big and final chance to decide if he truly can be in love with Scootaloo, or if they're better off just being friends with one another.

After a few minutes, Scootaloo called out to Rumble, "Alright! I'm ready!"

Rumble got off the couch and made his way to Scootaloo's room. Once inside he saw that it was dimly lit, there was a smell of perfume and some flowers decorated around. He looked to the bed and saw Scootaloo seductively laying down, exposing her rear to him.

"Wow..." Was all Rumble could say. Scootaloo looked amazing, and the ambience was top notch.

"Like what I've done with the place?" Scootaloo asked.

"I love it," Rumble said. "You went to all this trouble for me?"

"Well you're worth it," Scootaloo said, turning to face Rumble, spreading her legs and exposing her flower to the boy. "Don't be shy, come help yourself."

"Oh yes please," Rumble said, trotting over to Scootaloo's bed, his eyes focused right on her marehood entrance. He leaned in and took a quick lick with his tongue, getting a gasp from the mare.

"Hell yeah, bring it in Rumble," Scootaloo said, scooting back a bit to allow Rumble more room on the bed. She laid against a pillow and let Rumble continue his oral treatment. "Oh damn, you're working magic with that tongue!"

"I've had practice," Rumble sheepishly admitted.

"Well really put it to use, I want your best," Scootaloo said.

"Sure thing," Rumble said, sticking his head back between her legs, licking inside her virgin walls.

"Just like that!" Scootaloo shouted in pleasure, grateful her aunts weren't home. This pleasure would be hard to hold back on. She arched herself back, wrapping her legs around Rumble's head to trap him for her pleasure.

Rumble relished the taste and feeling. Compared to his previous experiences, Scootaloo had tighter muscles around her legs and thigh area. Her petals didn't feel as soft as the last two girls, but almost just as sensitive, at usually expected.

Scootaloo rubbed Rumble's mane, keeping his head as low as possible, hoping to help him lick deeper inside. She's never felt a rush of feelings like she is now, it was complete heaven to the filly. And this was just the start of their pleasures for the night.

"Rumble, I'm about to cum, get ready," Scootaloo said. Rumble's response was licking deeper and faster, really wanting the taste of her cum. Within seconds, the filly let out her orgasm into his mouth, the boy getting a nice, tasy drink. It's been so long since he's tasted something this exquisite.

Pulling back, Rumble wiped his mouth off of the exes cum, "That was awesome."

"I'll say..." Scootaloo said, still in a state of bliss. "You were amazng Rumble, your tongue felt so nice against my insides."

"I don't suppose you want to, you know, return the favor," Rumble said, feeling a bit shy about asking.

"You don't even need to ask," Scootaloo said, pushing Rumble back as his boyhood was exposed to her. "Wow you're big, and you've done this before right?"

"Once with Sweetie Belle and a few times with Cozy Glow," Rumble said. "And somewhat Diamond Tiara."

"Wait, when was that?" Scootaloo asked.

"A few months ago she invited me over to her house and we went in the hot tub," Rumble explained. "Let's just say she made really great use of her plot that day."

"Sounds exotic," Scootaloo said, lowering her head over his boyhood. "Get ready."

"I'm more than ready," Rumble said. Scootaloo took that as her cue to take in his length, starting with the tip. "Ahh..."

Scootaloo took that as her doing good, so she continued her service, bopping up and down, taking Rumble in. Boy was he big, and she loved it. She used her tonue to her advantage as she licked the sides during her bobbing.

"Uh...Scootaloo, you're a natural," Rumble said, gently stroking her mane. Scootaloo continued on, aggressively bobbing her head. This sensation was a bit different for Rumble, he's not used to the girls being so assertive, but boy does he like it. "Oh boy, Scootaloo I...I'm gonna..."

Scootaloo went faster until Rumble reached his climax, shooting his seeds into her waiting belly. She pulled back, licking her lips for the total flavor.

"Nice and filling," Scootaloo said. The fllly then turned and laid on the bed, stomach first and flank high. "Do it."

"You're eager," Rumble said, positioning himself right at her entrance and poking in.

"Don't go slow," Scootaloo said. "Ram it in, I can take it."

"You sure about that?" Rumble asked. "My prior experiences-"

"I know about the pain, just do it!" Scootaloo said. Rumble did as told and rammed his length into her flower. "Oh fuck yeah!"

"Uh, somepony's happy," Rumble joked.

"You bet, now do me," Scootaloo ordered.

"Yes ma'am," Rumble said, slowly rocking back and fourth inside of Scootaloo. Her walls felt much tighter than Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow, that's for sure. Those girls were soft just about everywhere but Scootaloo was the opposite, hard. Truthfully he kind of liked the feeling.

"Really do me Rumble," Scootaloo said. "Do me raw, go fast, go hard, just really give it to me."

"You got it," Rumble said, amping up the speed. Unlike with Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow who wanted him to be gentle, even after their first time, Scootaloo just loved the raw speed.

"Sweet Celestia Rumble, or should I say Sweet Twilight..." Scootaloo said, taking in the sex. "You're so damn good, you're amazing at this! Oh I can't get enough of this!"

"You feel amazing Scootaloo," Rumble said. "You're so muscular, I just love how your glutes feels against my pelvis."

"I love how what makes you a boy feels in what makes me a girl," Scootaloo said. "This is the feeling I needed!"

Rumble continued on, feeling that same familiar feeling from before. "I'm gonna cum again."

"Do it, fill me up, if you have any left," Scootaloo said. "Gonna hit you with something too."

Rumble continued until he felt his seeds enter Scootaloo's waiting womb, one he did hope wasn't in heat. In that moment, Scootaloo splash his crotch area, leaving him soaked but uncaring. The boy was out of breath, taking a moment to pant, "That...was amazing."

"You said it," Scootaloo said. "Got any energy left?"

"I got tons of energy, how about you?" Rumble asked.

"You know it, now pull out and stick it in my butt," Scootaloo said.

"Butts, my favorite part of a filly," Rumble joked. "They look cute and feel even better."

"Then you're gonna love mine, not to brag but I probably have the best looking butt in Ponyville," Scootaloo boasted.

Eagerly Rumble tried putting it in Scootaloo's other hole, and like before, she felt muscular and tighter compared to the soft backsides of Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow. Even Diamond Tiara's was much softer than this. "How do you feel?"

"Ugh, damn, kind of strange," Scootaloo said. "But, a good kind of strange."

"So, go slow or fast?" Rumble asked.

"You know me Rumble, fast, I want to be sore tomorrow so really give it to me!" Scootaloo ordered. "Pace yourself a bit though, my turn is next."

Rumble did as told, once again engaging in sexual activities with Scootaloo. He rocked back and forth inside her rear, the tightness really causing a different rift of sensations for the boy, as well as creating a buzz for Scootaloo.

This wasn't the end as promised, after Rumble finished, Scootaloo took her turn on top, both traditional and reverse, then the two standing, then Scootaloo sideways, any way the two could think they did it, their sexual activities lasting close to four hours before succumbing to sleep.

The next morning, Rumble had to leave the house in secret, knowing both of Scootaloo's aunts were now home, and he'd rather not explain why he was there all night. Fortunately he was able to fly out of the window.

Though that night he spent with Scootaloo is one that'll be on his mind for a while, all these years of curiosity, mainly from Scootaloo's end, finally culminating in the most intense experience. He actually felt a bit exhausted, despite his usually high volumes of stamina, Scootaloo really wore him out. It was probably the most fun he's had in a while.

For the first time in a while, Rumble did start feeling a bit differently for Scootaloo, even if she wasn't as feminine as Sweetie Belle or Cozy Glow, that didn't take away from his experience at all. Of course she has some girly attributes that he finds cute but he greatly admires her tougher side.

But he still can't help but wonder if he loves her the same way he loved Sweetie Belle and Cozy Glow. He really should try to give it a chance though, Scootaloo is his last chance at love after all, he's gonna have to start over with another filly if he wants another shot.

Last chance, the way he imagines it, it's more like he's settling for Scootaloo rather than genuinely wanting to be with her. He cares too much about Scootaloo to let her feel like she's just there to fill in a gap, and not there because he genuinely cares about her.

"I'll settle this when I see her later," Rumble said. "That should put a calming state to my mind."

After a few hours, Rumble met Scootaloo again at the park, the filly was sitting under a tree, with a lot on her mind.

"Yo, Scootaloo!" Rumble greeted, taking a seat next to her. "Glad I found you."

"Same, there's something I've been thinking about," Scootaloo said.

"Really? What's on your mind?" Rumble asked.

"Let me start by saying this, last night was the best night of my life," Scootaloo began. "You made so many of my desires come true, it was a moment I never thought I'd get. You were honestly amazing, you came in with your experience and just showed me a new world of pleasure. I feel sore but I also feel great."

"Glad you enjoyed it, I enjoyed it as well," Rumble said. "I'm actually a little sore, you really went all out last night."

"I treated it like if it was my only chance to be with you, because now that I'm thinking about it, it probably is my only night with you," Scootaloo explained.

"Huh? Only night?" Rumble asked.

"Yeah, here's the thing. I don't think we should see each other that way, as boyfriend and girlfriend," Scootaloo said.

Rumble couldn't believe his ears, it sounds like Scootaloo was breaking up with him, "Uh, pardon me?"

"Don't get me wrong, like I said I had a lot of fun and you would make a great boyfriend, just not for me," Scootaloo said.

"I don't get it, you've had a crush on me since we were foals, you broke down in tears because the first time I didn't return your love!" Rumble said. "I just don't get this Scootaloo, why don't you want to be with me?"

"Because Rumble, I'm not the filly for you," Scootaloo said. "After our moment last night, I started to think about our future and what would change. I thought about the possibility of finally being with a colt I've crushed on for years, to get married, start a family. That's when it dawned on me, I've been crushing on you even after you started dating Sweetie Belle, I remember being so jealous of her and...I've even on occasion hoped you two would break up so I can swoop in. That wasn't right of me, because when you did break up, you were so sad, and so was she."

"I mean, I was but I'm over it," Rumble said. "She might be too."

"Rumble, last night while you were sleeping, I heard you mumbling Sweetie Belle's name," Scootaloo pointed out.

"I did what now?" Rumble asked, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"You still love her, don't you?" Scootaloo asked.

"Does it matter? I blew it with her," Rumble said.

"So try again, it's been years, what have you got to lose?" Scootaloo asked.

"I...I'm just not sure," Rumble said. "I don't know if I'm ready."

Scootaloo sighed in disappointment, "Rumble, you really gotta learn to forgive yourself, because I know Sweetie Belle, and I know she would forgive you." Scootaloo thought a moment, "Though, maybe you are smart to wait, Sweetie Belle's been a bit off herself lately, teen hormones or whatever. See she dated a guy who was in love with another girl too, and that didn't turn out well, if didn't even turn out well for Apple Bloom. I'm not gonna make the same mistakes my friends made, that's why I'm ending this now before we go too far."

"You mean sex wasn't too far?" Rumble asked.

"I see your point, but I don't regret having sex with you, I just hope you don't regret it now either," Scootaloo said.

"Well, no, it was fun," Rumble said. "I mean, I do care a lot about you."

"I care about you too Rumble, think of it as me wanting to express my joy of being your friend, I mean who says friends can't have sex, though I am surprised you never did it with Dinky," Scootaloo said.

"Me too, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we did one day," Rumble said.

"I just hope that for now at least, I was your best," Scootaloo boasted as she trotted off. "Thanks for being understanding, and I really hope you figure yourself out."

"Yeah, maybe I will..." Rumble said, thinking this over a bit. "By the way, I'm sorry if me saying Sweetie Belle's name in my sleep upset you."

"Not like you intended it, though I'm starting to wonder if you did that while you were with Cozy Glow," Scootaloo said. "Honestly, she's another reason I don't want to date you."

"What does she have to do with this?" Rumble asked.

"Back when you were with Cozy Glow, even if Sweetie Belle tried to hide it, she was bothered when she saw you two together, she thinks that's the reason she dated Tender Taps, and that failed, so it made her a bit more miserable," Scootaloo said. "I'm actually afraid that if I start dating you, then she would start to resent me...honestly, the idea of Sweetie Belle actually hating me is a scary thought. I mean, we've had our fights and disagreements, but deep down we knew we couldn't stay mad at each other. This however, would destroy her. So I'm doing this for all of us, I don't want to be heartbroken later, I don't want to be the reason you can't be with your true love, and I don't want Sweetie Belle to hate me."

"I gotta say Scootaloo...that is very mature of you," Rumble said. "You're a good friend and a smart pony, one day you're gonna meet someone who will love you the way you deserve to be, and you're both going to live a very happy life together."

"I hope so," Scootaloo said, walking off. "Well, I'll see you another time, maybe soon we can have that other race."

"I look forward to that," Rumble said. Once she was gone, the boy plopped against a tree, feeling a bit frustrated. "Well so much for that, I can't believe she actually dumped me." Rumble let out a deep sigh. "Guess we're just not meant to be after all, but as long as she's happy, then that's all that matters."

Meanwhile with Scootaloo, the mare stopped a moment when reality settled in on her, "I can't believe I dumped Rumble! What's wrong with me!?"

Back in the present day, Rumble had awoken from his sleep, finding Sweetie Belle cuddled next to him. He kissed her forehead, waking his fiancé.

"Morning Rumble," Sweetie Belle said.

"Hey Sweetie Belle, hope you slept well despite it being back to just the two of us," Rumble said.

"It's what I prefer anyway," Sweetie Belle said, sharing a kiss with her fiancé. "Nothing against Cozy Glow or Flurry Heart, but I do want you all to myself."

"Aw, I feel loved," Rumble said, getting out of bed. "I'm gonna go check on Cozy Glow, and then get started on breakfast."

That reminded Sweetie Belle of the previous night, the sneaky filly coming into the room and planting a kiss on Rumble. Apparently she still hasn't fully gotten over her feelings. "Hey Rumble, something just crossed my mind."

"What is it?" Rumble asked.

"It's about Cozy Glow, I've been thinking, were you really in love with her at one point?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"What's this all about?" Rumble asked, somewhat curious.

"I mean, if you were together, and you really did love each other, did all that just go away when she turned to stone?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Or did I really pull you away from her when I told you that I was still in love with you?"

"Honestly...my romance with Cozy Glow feels a bit fuzzy nowadays, I mean I think I mentioned to you that the only reason I went after her was because I saw you with Tender Taps," Rumble said. "Whatever feelings I had for you, I think I just transferred then onto Cozy Glow or something. It's hard to explain."

"Don't worry, I somewhat understand what you mean," Sweetie Belle reassured. "You never really got over your feelings for me so Cozy Glow was a bit of a rebound."

"That's a harsh was of putting it," Rumble said. "Doesn't help that Cozy basically told me the same thing herself."

"If I'm being honest though, I do understand where she's coming from though, she really was in love with you," Sweetie Belle recalled. "Honestly it burdens me a little, being an obstacle to your love. I mean I still sometimes feel bad about Scootaloo, I remember just how heartbroken she was when I told her I was genuinely in love with you."

"That was not a happy moment for me either," Rumble said. "Or anyone for that matter."

"Love can be cruel sometimes," Sweetie Belle said. "When I thought I lost your love, that hit like a ton of bricks. So I empathize with Scootaloo and Cozy Glow even more."

"Honestly, not even sure if Scootaloo really loved me that way, or if she just admired me a lot," Rumble said. "I mean I've dated her a few times and we never really took off, even she's admitted that we probably can't work out."

"Even so, she did have strong feelings for you," Sweetie Belle said. "But Scootaloo can bounce back, I mean she does show interest in other colts, so she is capable of moving on. Just the other night I saw her talking with the Barrel Twins, maybe something can spark from there."

"Right, the Barrel Twins," Rumble said, remembering the foals from Hope Hollow, who had also come to help fend off King Sombra. "Pickle and Barley are really great foals, if Scootaloo showed interest in either one of them, then I have no doubt she'll be one happy filly."

"No doubt about it," Sweetie Belle said, getting off the bed. "Well let's get to eating."

After breakfast, Rumble and Sweetie Belle took a stroll out together, taking in the sights of their lovely town. As they walked they passed by their old school, Sweetie Belle having some fond memories.

"I miss the days I was in Cheerilee's class, she was such a fun teacher to have," Sweetie Belle said, reminiscing her school days.

"Yeah, she was really nice, wonder if she'll still be teaching by the time our kids start going to school?" Rumble wondered.

"She said she wants to teach as long as possible, she might end up teaching our grandkids if anything," Sweetie Belle joked.

"Think she'll ever teach at Twilight's school?" Rumble wondered.

"I mean I think she did a few lectures in her spare time," Sweetie Belle said. "But I think she prefers teaching younger foals, Cheerilee sees it as preparing the future."

"If she's that nurturing as a teacher, imagine just how she'll be when she's a mom," Rumble said.

"We'll find out soon when she has her baby," Sweetie Belle said.

The two continued their walk through town, passing by ponies such as Vinyl Scratch, Cherry Berry, Moonshine, even the couple of Lyra and Bon Bon.

One pony had called out to the two, "Hey, Rumble, Sweetie Belle." The two turned around to see Button Mash, the local gamer pony. "Good to see you both."

"Button Mash?" Sweetie Belle said in surprise.

"That's me," the boy said, making his way over. "I heard you two are engaged."

"Yeah, Rumble proposed to me the other day," Sweetie Belle said.

"That's nice, didn't know you got back together though," Button Mash said.

"We got back together during that big fight against the villains," Rumble explained.

"Did you really fight them?" Button Mash asked.

"Mostly, I mean me, Sweetie Belle and our friends did beat up a fake Twilight, but we didn't do much against Grogar or anything," Rumble said.

"Rumble did help get Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and The Dazzlings on our side though," Sweetie Belle said. "So that's something."

"I have no idea how you even managed that, when I heard that they befriended Princess Twilight, I needed to check my ears to make sure they weren't hearing things," Button Mash said. "I mean, I can somewhat understand Cozy Glow, like wasn't she in love with Rumble?"

"Yeah, she was," Rumble said. "I obviously didn't return the feelings but our friendship was enough at least, and the other villains just followed suit."

"I think I saw Cozy Glow at your house Sweetie Belle, was she visiting?" Button Mash asked.

"No, she lives there, for now," Sweetie Belle said. "She had nowhere else to go so I took her in."

"That's nice of you, considering she's your romantic rival," Button Mash said. "But that's what I've always liked about you Sweetie Belle, you're kind and generous, just like your sister, maybe more so."

"Aw, thanks Button," Sweetie Belle said. "So...how are things with you?"

"Sweet as always, just waiting for my marefriend, she's going with me to a video game tournament, I'm competing for prizes," Button Mash said. "I actually won a few, and they told me my playing video games would get me nowhere. Well who's laughing now neigh-sayers!"

"Well it's great that you're able to work with something you love," Sweetie Belle said. "It's how a pony should live their life."

"Like how you came to enjoy being a Cutie Mark Crusader," Button Mash said. "Who would have thought getting a Cutie Mark would be your Cutie Mark."

"Talent is found in all the unexpected places after all," Sweetie Belle said. "Something I've picked up during my time as a Crusader."

"Yo Mash!" Came Babs's voice. The trio looked to see the city girl on her way over. "Oh, you'se got company."

"Hey babe," Button Mash greeted, bringing Babs in for a kiss. "How was your trip."

"Same old," Babs said. "One day I'm gonna have the bits to move out here so I don't have to put up with the traveling, that way I can be close to you and the family out here."

"Still don't want to live on the farm?" Button Mash asked.

"I've thought about it, but I ain't cut out for farm work, plus with Big Mac expecting a kid, that place is gonna be a bit too crowded for my liking," Babs explained.

"That and Apple Bloom finding somepony," Button Mash said.

"That I gotta get some answers for when I see her later, but speaking of romance" , Babs then turned to the couple beside her. "How you two doin'?"

"Doing great, really great to see you Babs," Sweetie Belle said.

"Yeah, I'm glad you're ok, after the big showdown days ago I've been worried about everypony's safety," Rumble said.

"I ran into trouble, but it ain't nothing I can't handle," Babs insisted. "Heard you saved the day and proposed to Sweetie Belle right afterwards, pretty boss thing to do."

"Sounds like something out of a video game," Rumble said. "Save the world, get the girl."

"Wow, when you put it like that, guess that makes me pretty awesome," Rumble playfully boasted.

"Ease up on the ego Rumble," Sweetie Belle teased. "But Button and Babs aren't wrong, you did do some amazing stuff."

"You lived up to the expectations Princess Twilight had for y'all," Babs said. "Even if you probably aren't set up to be the 'Next Six' like the Elements or the Pillars."

"Fine with me, I'll just be happy as a Wonderbolt," Rumble said. "Won't be long until my tryouts."

"Good luck on that," Babs said, then turned to Button Mash. "We should get going before we get there late."

"Yeah you're right," Button said, then turned to the two. "It was great seeing you both again."

"You too Button," Sweetie Belle said.

"Also Sweetie Belle, I'm sorry for when I used to bug you to date me when we were kids, I just had a big crush on you and I could barely control my feelings," Button said.

"It's fine, I was flattered nonetheless," Sweetie Belle said. "Plus I think Babs is a better fit for you anyway so it worked out."

"Oh it definitely works out, I love me a tough filly," Button said.

"And I like them on the dorky side, which is why I used to like Rumble," Babs said.

"Excuse me!?" Rumble asked, somewhat offended.

"It's a compliment coming from her, you're good dude," Button said. "Sorry for giving you such a hard time as well, I had to step up if I was gonna compete with you, I mean you're this cool jock and I was a nerdy gamer."

"It's no big deal, but thanks," Rumble said, hoof bumping Button Mash.

"We'll see you'se two around," Babs said, then gestured to her boyfriend. "Let's go Mash."

"You got it babe," Button Mash said, following after Babs, the two on their way to their destination for the day.

"They make such a cute couple," Sweetie Belle said. "Hearing about them makes me realize all the different changes going on in Equestria, like our engagement, Twilight's engagement to Tender Taps, Pinkie being with Cheese Sandwich, Apple Bloom dating Dinky, Big Mac and Cheerilee expecting a baby, even our older siblings seem happy together."

"I hope so, if they break up again it's gonna be awkward," Rumble said. "Already is awkward that my brother is dating my future sister in law."

"It doesn't bother me, I can call Thunderlane 'Big Brother' if he marries Rarity," Sweetie Belle said.

"He would already be your 'Big Brother' if we get married, that's what makes it kind of weird," Rumble said.

"You're worrying too much, consider it fate, my older sister has a boyfriend, who happens to have a brother the same age as her little sister, seems like a waste to pass it up," Sweetie Belle said.

"Or a pressured coincidence," Rumble said. "Also we fell in love first...I think."

"It was around the same time," Sweetie Belle said. "Like I said, don't worry too much about it."

"I'll do my best," Rumble said, the two continuing their stroll. As they walked through Ponyville, the two felt a huge gust of wind.

"What was that?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Scootaloo passed by," Rumble said.

"She did?" Sweetie Belle looked around. "I didn't see her."

"She was moving pretty fast, but I'm used to seeing things moving fast," Rumble said. Suddenly another gust passed by. "And that was Rainbow Dash."

"I'll say..." Sweetie Belle said, trying to fix her now poofy mane. "Now my hair's all messed up."

"You look fine" Rumble said.

"Maybe to you, but I like my hair in order," Sweetie Belle said, trying to fix it, to no avail. "Darn it all. Now I gotta go fix up my mane."

"Wait, are you going home?" Rumble asked, noticing that Sweetie Belle was leaving. "You look fine."

"I just want to fix my hair up a bit, I'll be back later," Sweetie Belle said.

"Sweetie Belle, this is a bit ridiculous, I mean is this really the first time Scootaloo's messed up your mane?" Rumble asked.

"Just wait for me!" Sweetie Belle said, eventually teleporting away.

"I love her but she can be a bit of a drama queen," Rumble commented, then looked in the direction Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash flew off. "Wonder what those two were up to though?" Rumble then sped off to find the two speedsters.

Back at the Boutique, Sweetie Belle had gone to a mirror, using a brush to fix her mane, "What could Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash be doing that's got them flying so fast? Are they training for something?"

"Hey Sweetie Belle," Cozy Glow greeted, having come from the kitchen.

"Hi Cozy Glow," Sweetie Belle said, turning to her friend, then noticing some crumbs on her face. "You have a bit of a mess on your face."

"Whoopsie, thanks for the heads up," Cozy Glow said, wiping her face. "I felt hungry, and your sister showed me where the cookies were."

"Rumble would say that cookies aren't actual food," Sweetie Belle pointed out.

"I wanted something tasty, and Rarity offered me cookies, plus I'm thinking my baby would enjoy it," Cozy Glow said.

"Your baby's gonna develop a sweet tooth before it's born," Sweetie Belle joked.

"So, where's Rumble?" Cozy Glow asked, looking around. "Did he come home too?"

"No, I have to come back to fix my mane, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash made it messy with their speeding," Sweetie Belle explained.

"Golly, they must have been going really fast then," Cozy Glow said.

"They were, Rumble could see it, but I couldn't," Sweetie Belle said. "He's back where they were, I'll be with him again momentarily, I just don't want to walk around with a poofy mane."

"Well nopony would," Cozy Glow said. "Gotta keep your mane nice and pretty, just like mine."

"Like yours?" Sweetie Belle turned to Cozy Glow. "Well, you do have nice rolls."

"I use curlers, I can lend you mine if you want to try out my style," Cozy Glow said.

"Maybe one day, for now I'm sticking with what I have," Sweetie Belle said, putting the finishing touches on her mane, fluffing in front of the mirror. "There, all better."

Cozy Glow stood next to Sweetie Belle, checking out her mane as well, "We're a couple of beauties."

"That we are," Sweetie Belle said. "So, before I leave Cozy Glow, kind of curious about something."

"What is it?" Cozy Glow asked.

"You've been living with us for a few days now, have you been happy here?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Well, yeah, I have," Cozy Glow explained. "You and Rumble are both really nice to me and you make me feel right at home."

"That's good to know, glad my idea of letting you live with me and Rumble is paying off well for you," Sweetie Belle said. "I just hope I have absolutely no reason to regret this choice."

"Huh? Why would you?" Cozy Glow asked, looking rather concerned. "You're doing something really nice for me Sweetie Belle, I wouldn't put that to waste."

"I want to believe you on that, and you've done a good job for the most part on proving yourself," Sweetie Belle said. "I mean, maybe it's just me being a little cautious."

"You do trust me, don't you?" Cozy Glow asked. "Like, you don't think I'll turn evil, do you?"

Sweetie Belle took one look at Cozy Glow, it was a look of genuine concern and worry. Sweetie Belle had to remember that this was a filly who really needed friendship first and foremost, any worries she had she needed to put them aside for the sake of making sure Cozy Glow turned out alright.

"I don't think you will, I mean, I am really hoping you don't, because I really like you Cozy Glow, I just want to make sure you don't fall off the right path," Sweetie Belle said.

"I won't, I promise. I wouldn't do that to you, or Rumble," Cozy Glow rubbed her belly. "Especially for the sake of my baby, our baby."

"Cozy Glow...how do you feel about Rumble?" Sweetie Belle asked.

i

At that moment, the pregnant filly grew a bit nervous, unsure how to fully answer that question, "Uh, well...I..."

That basically confirmed to Sweetie Belle what she's been suspecting as of late, or so it seemed like. "Cozy Glow, it's alright to feel a certain way about somepony, just remember not to do anything you shouldn't."

Cozy Glow grew even more nervous, wondering if Sweetie Belle may have seen something she hoped she didn't see. "Y-yes Sweetie Belle."

"That settles it," Sweetie Belle said. "Remember Cozy Glow, I'm more than happy to let you live here, just don't get carried away or anything."

"I promise," Cozy Glow said.

"Well then, I should head back," Sweetie Belle said. Just as she was leaving, Cozy Glow rushed over to her and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you for letting me live here, I really do appreciate it," Cozy Glow said.

Sweetie Belle returned the affection with a kiss to Cozy's cheek. "You're very welcome."

Cozy Glow nodded, blushing a bit from the affection as Sweetie Belle teleported away. She rubbed her belly, happily sighing to herself. "You're lucky, not only will you have me, you'll have a daddy and another mommy to love you. I can't wait to bring you into this world."

Meanwhile with Rumble, he had caught up to Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash, both mares looked to be stretching for a race. Rumble's mind raced a bit when both girls started stretching their glutes. He loves Sweetie Belle but he'll never forget Scootaloo's backside, especially during their night of sex. Secretly he prefers that technique with Scootaloo over Sweetie Belle.

"Hi girls," Rumble greeted.

Scootaloo turned around," Hey Rumble."

"Sup?" Rainbow Dash greeted. "Didn't expect to see you here."

"I saw you both speeding past, so did Sweetie Belle but her reaction was less than favorable," Rumble said.

"We're getting ready to do some hoof racing," Scootaloo said. "Rainbow Dash wants to work on her ground speed."

"I'm a master in the air but I kind of want to try the ground," Rainbow Dash said.

"Clever, maybe I should try that one day," Rumble said.

"You should, great exercise, really works off some extra body fat so we can fly faster," Rainbow Dash said.

"You should join us," Sootaloo said.

"I would but I'm waiting for Sweetie Belle to come back, she just went to fix her mane."

"Pfft, oh what, did we mess it up with our racing?" Rainbow Dash joked.

"Uh, well kind of," Rumble said. "She did overreact."

"That's Sweetie Belle for you," Scootaloo said.

"So, any reason you're racing? Or just sisterly bonding?" Rumble asked.

"Bit of both, while I always like bonding with Dash, there's this race coming up at Hope Hollow," Scootaloo said.

"I remember that place," Rumble said. "You've gone there a few times though, haven't you Scootaloo?"

"Yeah, it's a nice place to race around," Scootaloo said.

"That and she really likes that Pickle boy," Rainbow Dash said.

"Well yeah...that too," Scootaloo said, somewhat blushing.

"That's cute, he's lucky to have somepony like you crushing on him," Rumble said. "He's a great guy, I think you two will be happy together, if you ever do get together."

"I kind of want to ask him out, but I'm a bit nervous doing so," Scootaloo said. "Any tips?"

"Just be yourself, if you don't want to use the word 'date', just say 'hang out'," Rumble said. "Get him to like you to the point where he wants to ask you out. You're a cool filly Scootaloo, that won't take long."

"Thanks, you're a good friend to have Rumble," Scootaloo said. "Looks like your years of dating fillies is paying off."

"That's a weird way to put it," Rumble said. "Wait, am I gonna have that mare's stallion reputation even though I'm engaged?"

"Well you're a sexy looking stallion, so it's possible," Scootaloo said. "I picked the right pony for my first crush."

"Yeah you crushed on him pretty badly. Not that I blame you though, I mean..." Rainbow Dash checked Rumble's features out. "You're actually way more attractive than your brother...kind of jealous of Sweetie Belle now. Maybe I should have did what Twilight did and keep you for myself."

Rumble blushed at the compliment, "Uh, thanks Rainbow Dash...uh, any other time I would have loved to have been your coltfriend, but I'm happy with Sweetie Belle."

"Sucks for me then, Twilight had it right with Tender Taps, she picked him out young and waited for him to grow, maybe I should have done the same thing," Rainbow Dash said.

"I can't believe you're actually flirting with him," Scootaloo teased. "It's fine, I don't blame you. Like I said, he's my first real crush, hell I was pretty much in love with him."

"Kind of a shame you two didn't end up together, imagine the kids you could have had," Rainbow Dash said. "Or the kids he and I could have had."

"Right...kids..." Scootaloo replied, feeling a bit awkward. "That would be amazing, but...it's better this way. Rumble is more like my best friend, and I think I like him better that way. He's kind of like the brother I always wanted, which is weird to say since we had sex but still, he's realizable and I know he'll always be there for me."

"Of course, we're friends," Rumble said.

"Yeah, we're friends," Scootaloo agreed. "I wouldn't trade that for anything. I'm glad I fell for you Rumble, because you filled me with happiness. Now I can rebuild and start a new love, thanks to the foundation you set for me." Scootaloo trotted over, hugging Rumble tight. "Thank you for everything. And if I ever do have kids, well I hope you'll be like a cool uncle to them."

"Totally," Rumble said, returning the hug.

"Sweet, a happy ending," Rainbow Dash said. "Glad you've come this far as friends, Scootaloo, it takes a strong filly to move on from a crush, and Rumble, it takes a classy colt to show the compassion you do."

"Thanks Rainbow Dash," Rumble said, breaking his hug.

"Now for the fact that you're so sexy looking," Rainbow Dash said, stroking his chin.

"Uh...what are you doing?" Rumble asked.

"Dash, this is kind of weird, he's engaged remember?" Scootaloo said.

"I know, still, I can't help but wonder," Rainbow Dash said. "Tell me Scoots, just how good was Rumble in bed?"

"Dash!" Scootaloo shouted in annoyance.

Fortunately Sweetie Belle arrived just in time, "Hey Rumble!" She trotted over to her coltfriend. "I see you caught up to Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo."

'Y-yeah, caught up," Rumble nervously said.

"Uh, you alright there?" Sweetie Belle asked. "What's going on?"

"Never mind, let's continue our walk," Rumble said.

"In a minute," Sweetie Belle said, turning to Scootaloo. "Training for something?"

"A race at Hope Hollow," Scootaloo said. "You and Rumble should come check it out, actually he should join, it would make the Barrel Twins happy."

"That sounds nice," Sweetie Belle said. "What do you say Rumble?"

"I'd love to race, it'll help me prep for the Wonderbolt's tryout," Rumble said.

"That reminds me, Spitfire might have to delay it a bit, but don't worry, she'll give you a new date ASAP," Rainbow Dash said.

"That's fine, I can wait," Rumble said. "As long as The Wash Outs don't try to recruit me first."

"Hehe, well, if they try to, turn them down," Rainbow Dash warned. "Alright we're off."

"Bye Rumble, bye Sweetie Belle," Scootaloo said, racing off with Rainbow Dash, the two really going fast on hoof.

"They're such nice girls," Sweetie Belle said.

"Yeah, totally," Rumble said. "Especially Scootaloo, she's such a cool filly."

"Hey, were you ever in love with her?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"...Briefly," Rumble said, then turned away. "But I love you more, so it's a moot point."

Sweetie Belle blushed as she followed her coltfriend, the two resuming their walk together.

Back with Rainbow Dash, the mare had turned her attention over to Scootaloo. "So, no regrets about Rumble? You've really moved on?"

"Yeah, I think I have," Scootaloo said. "I mean, sometimes I still wish it were us but at the same time, it's not so bad. We're still friends and he has given me a few chances. Plus I was the one who told him back when that I wasn't interested in pursuing romance."

"Well that's pretty big of you," Rainbow Dash said.

"Also like I said, I got to have sex with him and it was so amazing!" Scootaloo added.

"Heh, yeah, bet it was," Rainbow Dash said. "Well anyway, it's admirable because usually hard for some ponies to move on after they were in love, Rumble barely moved on after Sweetie Belle, and those two still ended up together."

"Well Sweetie Belle never moved on either, their only mistake was breaking up in the first place because I think they could have still made it work, I mean yeah they're back together, but because of the break-up, Rumble got Cozy Glow pregnant and he has to help raise her child."

"That reminds me, what do you think of Cozy Glow staying among us?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Or any of the villains for that matter?"

"Uh, well as long as they don't do anything evil then we're fine," Scootaloo said. "That's all I can really say on the matter. I mean I want to trust Cozy Glow, I think she's a good pony deep down, being with Rumble and Sweetie Belle will bring out the best in her, not to mention being a mom."

"You really think so huh?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Alright, if you have faith in Cozy Glow, I can try to."

"Happy to hear," Scootaloo said. "Now come on, let's keep racing." The two sped off into the distance, readying themselves for the big race ahead.

Later in the day, Rumble and Sweetie Belle had arrived back at the Boutique, Sweetie Belle calling out to her sister after entering inside. "Rarity! We're home."

"I'm right here Sweetie Belle," Rarity said, with a familiar guest.

"Rumble, Sweetie Belle, hello," Twilight said.

"Good to see you Twilight," Rumble greeted.

"Hi Twilight, is Rarity measuring you for your wedding dress?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Well not exactly, but she may use these measurements later," Twilight said. "It's for speech I'm doing. I told Rarity my plans to announcement engagement to Tender Taps for all of Equestria and she thought we should look nice for the occasion."

"Is Tender Taps here too?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"He went to get us some treats, you'll see him later," Rarity said.

"Alright then," Sweetie Belle said, thinking briefly about Tender Taps, the only stallion she dated aside from Rumble. "Well I'm tired, I'm gonna go take a bath and relax for the rest of the evening."

"I'll go get dinner started," Rumble said.

"You do that dear," Rarity said. "It's so nice having a stallion around who can cook, almost wish I were the one marrying Rumble."

"You have his brother at least," Twilight said.

"Yeah, he's nice. But between you and me Twilight, Rumble is the better package, looks and skills," Rarity said. "Plus, something tells me he's good in bed too."

"Rarity!" Twilight nervously scolded.

Upstairs as Sweetie Belle was going into the bathroom, she ran into Cozy Glow, who was doing the same.

"Sorry Sweetie Belle, did you want to use it?" Cozy Glow asked.

"Yeah, I'm taking a bath," Sweetie Belle said. "But if you need to pee or something I don't mind if you go inside."

"Actually I wanted to bathe too, but I'll let you go first," Cozy Glow said.

"Thanks," Sweetie Belle said, opening up the door. "Though if you want, we can bathe together, I'll help you wash your wings."

"Oh, that would be nice," Cozy Glow said. "You don't mind?"

"We're friends, so it's fine," Sweetie Belle said. "Plus it shouldn't be that weird, not like we normally wear clothes anyway."

"Yeah, it's just friendly bathing," Cozy Glow said. "Alright let's go."

The two made their way inside the bathroom while Rumble cooked his meal downstairs. It wasn't long before Tender Taps came back with the treats. While there, Rumble couldn't help but think about one thing that stood out about this stallion. For he was the only other stallion to date Sweetie Belle, and sometimes Rumble can't help but feel a bit of jealousy.

Rumble shouldn't feel that though, since he's dated more fillies than Sweetie Belle has stallions, yet somehow Rumble saw Tender Taps as a sort of rival. After all, it was his jealousy of Tender Taps dating Sweetie Belle that resulted in him going to Cozy Glow.

He just wonders, while he confessed that he once loved Scootaloo, and believes he loved Cozy Glow, he wondered if Sweetie Belle at any point truly loved Tender Taps.

Rumble still has quite a few things to figure out about himself, Sweetie Belle, Cozy Glow and their future.
