Salty droplets of sweat poured down Reese's face as she climbed off the stationary bike to regain her breath; 6:00 AM rooftop spinning wasn't for the faint at heart. She used to find sweating gross but lately it felt refreshing to shed all her insecurities and anxieties in a pool of sweat under her bike. She grabbed her towel and water bottle before heading inside to the sauna.

She sat in the therapeutic hot room as the dry heat soaked into her skin, relaxing her mind, and cleansing her body of toxins. She set her watch for twenty minutes and closed her eyes. After the day she had yesterday, this was exactly what she needed. It wasn't long before the sound of Reese's blaring watch alarm jolted her out of her relaxed state, prompting her to get ready for work. She rushed to the women's locker room and quickly showered; she couldn't risk being late again.

Traffic wasn't the usual stop-start fiasco that it normally was, probably because it was hump day and more people were inclined to call in sick. She pulled into the half empty parking lot; Victor and Vincent weren't at work yet. She let out a sigh of relief and headed inside to her office.

"Good morning ladies," Reese smiled entering the office.

"Hey Reese," Miranda replied cheerfully, "you look great! Made it to the gym?"

"You know it," she continued strutting to her office.

"Hey Reese, do you know what's going on with the place on Norton Ave," shouted Amy.

"I'm not sure. I'm still waiting to hear back from my client."

"Well, I have a potential buyer if you want to just go with my client."

"What's the offer?"

"$1.6. Twenty days to close. All cash."

"I'll check with the seller. I don't think they wanted to go any lower than $1.9 but give me a minute."

Reese finally made it to her office and powered up her laptop. She wanted to check and see if her client had reached out with an offer. Still nothing. She contacted the seller about the place on Norton Ave with the offer of $1.6 best and final. They accepted. It was shaping out to be a productive morning.

Vincent and Victor walked in together immediately summoning everyone from their offices to start the morning meeting. This quarter was almost over, and the brokerage hadn't reached its quota. If she could sell the Melrose listing it would take care of the deficit.

"Reese where are we on the Melrose listing," Victor said.

"I'm going to list it at thirty-two million. The client won't receive anything under twenty million."

"Excellent," Victor smiled.

"This is by far our biggest listings that the brokerage has ever had, "Vincent chimed in, "so let's get our top clients out to see it. Reese how are we looking on marketing?"

"I need to touch base with Mr. Grey, I think he's still living there," she chuckled nervously, "but he does have some great pieces that I'll see if he's interested in selling with the house, it could save on staging."

"Alright, well we've got to get this moving...and you're leaving us soon right," Vincent said raising a brow.

"That's the plan," she smiled shyly, "but you know me, I always like to see a project through."

"That's my girl," Victor winked, "Next on the agenda, where are we with Lindley Ave?"

"Still waiting on an offer. I have an open house scheduled on Sunday," Amy replied, "but good news Reese and I got the place on Norton Ave sold this morning."

"Really?"

"Yea, it's a little lower than what the seller wanted but I sent over the paperwork just a few minutes ago," Reese said.

"Great," Victor said rejoicing, "Okay ladies we appreciate all you hard work. Let's have a great day."

"Has anyone heard from Naomi?" Vincent said looking around.

"It's Wednesday Vinny, she's in class," Reese said, "She comes in at 10 today."

"That's right. Have her see me as soon as she gets here," he said firmly.

"Will do."

Reese went to her office and closed the door. She needed to schedule her next meeting with Mr. Grey but wasn't sure what she should say to him. She wasn't sure if he would even respond since she didn't respond to his text message last night.

8:50 AM Reese: Good morning Mr. Grey, I hope all is well.

8:50 AM Reese: I was wondering if you had a moment to discuss a couple of minor details so that I could move forward on getting your house on the market as soon as possible.

She starred at her phone for hours, but there was no response. She decided to head to lunch and was hopeful that she would receive a response by the time she finished her chicken piccata. Still nothing and before long it was quitting time.
