Reese pulled into the narrow concrete driveway in front of her condo. She cut off her car and sat in silence for a moment. The silence caressed her skin, smoothing her thoughts; it had been a challenging day, especially her feelings about Christian.

She trudged up the path towards her doors, and there he stood. He stood firm, looking taller than usual. His hands were shoved in his pockets and his eyes were locked in on her, smoldering with desire.

"Christian," she sounded surprised, "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to apologize to you."

"You could have called," she said brushing past him to unlock her door.

"I know," he paused, "but I wanted to look you in the eyes when I apologized."

"And what are you apologizing for?" she asked leaning against the doorpost, "presenting me to Elena as your submissive without my knowledge or consent, "she paused, narrowing her eyes at him, "or the other thing."

"I should have never had you meet Elena that way," he said quickly.

"That way?" she said raising her voice, "I'd rather not meet her at all!"

"Again," he paused, "I apologize."

"And."

"And it won't happen again," he raised his brow.

"And," she said crossing her arms," don't you have something else to apologize for?"

"Why don't you give me a clue," he smirked.

"How about touching me inappropriately," she mumbled, "not very professional."

"I don't know what you want me to say," he said running his hand through his tousled hair, "I made it very clear that I wanted you."

"Yes, but you also said you wouldn't touch me until I admitted that I wanted you," she said firmly, "I never said I wanted you Christian."

"Hmm," he grunted softly sizing her up and down, "your body did and I don't remember you telling me to stop," he paused, "but you're right I should have kept my hands to myself or finger for that matter," he smirked.

"Yea maybe," she said averting her eyes from his, "well, thanks for the apology," her voice trailed.

"Can I interest you in dinner," he said tilting his head to the side. His eyes were intense, searching hers for an answer and even though he asked a question, his tone was demanding.

"Christian," her voice cracked, "don't you have work you should be attending to or—"

"Not at the moment," he smirked, "and since I can't seem to leave you alone I—"

"Why can't you leave me alone," she interrupted.

"Because I want you," his eyes darkened with lust.

"Ok and then what? What happens after you have me?"

"Do you think I just want you for a night?" he said moving closer to her.

"I don't know what you want," she said softly, falling victim to his seductive gaze.

"I want all of you," he said gently.

"I don't know Christian—"

"Shh," he silenced her with his lips.

His kiss didn't mimic the fiery passionate ones from earlier, they were softer, gentle and even though, once again intrusive, his mouth was so warm. The caress of his lips as they massaged hers, obliterated every though in her mind, well almost every thought.

"Christian," she said in a breathy tone, in between kisses.

"Hmm," he groaned.

"I don't want to be a rebound for you," she said softly.

Christian pulled away from her, his breath slowing, "Is that what you think you are?" his eyes focused in on her.

"I mean, c'mon Christian," she said shyly, "You had to know that's what I would be thinking."

"And why is that?" he asked sternly.

"Because you're newly divorced," her voice cracked, "and I'm sure you didn't get married to get divorced."

"No," he sighed, "I didn't, but I can't change Anast—her decision to divorce me," his eyes softened.

"Did you fight for her?" Reese's brow raised.

"I tried," his voice cracked, "but I had to let her go."

"So why me?" she paused, "I mean, look at you and look at me."

"I am…looking at you," a half-smile wept across his lips, "Do you really not know how beautiful you are?"

"I appreciate that," she blushed, "but I—"

"I can't change my past Ms. Sutherlin," he said softly, "all I can do is move forward."

"With me?" her voiced cracked.

"If you allow me," he paused, "I'm used to taking what I want but I see that may be the wrong approach," he smirked.

"Yea…maybe," she said softly, with a half-smile, "but I do get how your need for control may have been a little out of control lately, you know…with the divorce and everything. Feeling a little unhinged," she smirked.

"A bit," he said emitting a soft laugh, "I'd like for you to teach me how to be gentle," he cleared his throat, "for you that is," he said with longing eyes.

"Christian," she said gazing at him, "I'm a ruin to beautiful things too."

"I'm already ruined," he smirked.
