CH 1

Bob had been carrying a bag of fertilizer to the garden. Hanna in the garden had noticed him and looked towards him with a smile. She then looked up at the sky and her faced blanked. Suddenly, everything grew bright white. Bob felt something slam him from behind as Hanna opened her mouth to scream.

That was the last thing he remembered.

Waking up suddenly, face down on the ground, he back felt burnt bad, but it was a 'after' feeling. He gasped in a breath picking his head up. The ground around him was brown and smoldering. The air stunk of smoke. The remains of his shirt lay on the ground under him, well, the front of his shirt with blackened edges.

What the hell happened?

Lifting himself up he saw Hanna lying, smoldering on the ground. "Hanna?" he asked weakly. Getting up, he stumbled over to find her entire front was gone. Her face was nothing but blackened skull, her body was burnt bone and blackened innards. "Oh god," he said weakly then turned and puked from the horrid sight. Hanna was obviously dead. All around him was nothing but blackened ground. Looking back towards the house, windows were blown out. Roofing shingles had come and were scattered around. Trees were burning, so was Joan's overturned Bronco. The SUV was upright, but blackened and warped except for the tailgate.

Bob staggered to the house. They had built it to withstand a tornado, but a tornado hadn't happened. What he was seeing was more like a nuclear bomb had gone off. By the time he got to the back door, the after pains of his death had settled. There was no doubt to him now that he had died, just like Hanna did. Only Hanna wasn't immortal, no Quickening resurrected her to live again. He went to open the door and it came off the hinges in his hand. Yes, the house still stood, but it was weakened.

"Joan?" he yelled as he went in. "Allie?" he asked loudly. Seeing someone on the floor, he turned her over. It was Jo, and she was limp, staring at nothing. She wasn't burnt but she felt hot. She also wasn't breathing and had no pulse. "No, this isn't happening," he said in a whine. He raced around to find his wives.

Joan was in the kitchen with Malinara, both lay limp on the floor. Malinara was staring sightlessly at nothing. When he turned Joan over, her eyes rolled and she moaned. He sat her up. She gripped him and tried to speak. A little drool came out her mouth and her eyes looked at nothing. At least she was alive.

A gurgling sound came from the hallway. Bob got Joan laid flat and told her, "I'll be back, rest." He went to let go of her and she gripped his hand.

"Gaaa...haaa," was what came out of her mouth. No real words. Her eyes wandered as if she was looking for him.

"Joan, I have to find Allison," he said and pried her lose. The fact he was able to pry Joan's hand free told him she was in bad shape. He passed a dead Dina on his way down the hallway to find Allison crumpled by the wall, pawing out mindlessly.

The only ones left alive besides him were Joan and Allison, and neither of them were in good shape. He had to get them help! First he got them both on the back porch, then looked for something to get them to the Connor house. Their cars were toast, the barn had collapsed on the tractor and the truck, and the remains had tendrils of smoke rising here and there.

Desperate to get something to carry his wives in, he dug the wheelbarrow out of the shed rubble. It wasn't the best, but it was all he had at the moment.

Carefully, he got Joan and Allison in, side by side. Fighting back tears, he pushed them up the driveway and headed towards the Connor house to get some help.

.

Delilah rebooted lying on the living room floor. Her sensors weren't normal, everything felt and looked funny. She sat up and recalled the last moment she remembered. There had been an incredibly bright light and her safety circuits had tripped her off line. Looking at the lake side windows of the house, they were darkened. She also saw a form on the floor. It was that young man Hedeki. He had no life signs. She also noted smoke rising from the yard. Seeing another body, she found John lying unconscious. Near him was Cameron pawing blindly at the floor and kicking out, trying to move. Getting up, Delilah checked John's vital signs. Not the best, but he was breathing and his heart was beating. Cameron was acting strange, like she couldn't see or had any coordination.

Delilah was hit hard, seeing Cameron so helpless. To her, it was like the world had just ended.

Adding to her distress was Jackie's wailing cry from another room. "Daniel... Daniel, NOOOOO!"

.

Sonya was inside the factory when her safety circuits tripped. Waking up on the floor, she got up and saw everyone else was also sprawled all over. Hurrying to each of them, she found not one had a heart beat or was breathing. They were also cooling. Everyone around her was dead. Due to the building's dome construction, it was undamaged by the blast. Even so, Sonya frantically searched for at least one live person. Going through the whole factory, she didn't find one.

Running outside, she saw downed trees and to the east, a forest fire stretched to the sides. A car had drive off the road towards town and had run into a tree. A bad thought hit her. "Mark!" she cried and ran for Joe's garage.

.

At the Tanner house, Duncan and Connor snapped awake.

"What happened?" Duncan asked as he looked around. He smelled smoke, all the widows on the lake side of the house were blown out.

Connor staggered up and looked out the windows. "There's a huge fire, all around the lake. We have to go, now."

"Carol went to the school ... what did this?" Duncan asked.

Connor cast him a hollow look. "From what I can see, I think we got hit with a nuclear bomb. We have to get to town."

Anna appeared by Connor. "You need to leave, now!" she cried and helped push him to the door.

The trio went outside to see there was a tree against the house, burning, and the house was catching. They ran to the police car that was black and smoldering. Connor tried it, it started. "In!" he called. They piled in and he drove through the burning trees to get back to town.

Passing the Kikumura house, Connor saw the pink haired Kaede stumbling towards the road. She dropped to her hands and knees and vomited. Connor stopped, they got out and ran over to her.

"They're dead," Kaede said in hollow tone. "Kouta, Yuka, Mayu, Nana... they're all dead!"

"How did you survive?" Anne asked.

"I felt something ... big. I put up a shield against it. I didn't have time to shield anyone else... and they're dead!" She then burst out in a wailing cry.

"Get her in the car," Connor said. He and Anne half carried her to the car and got her in the back seat. Anne got in with her.

The whole town was singed. Nearly every building facing the lake was black. Up the street, they could see Joe's garage was on fire. Here and there, charred people lay.

"Someone nuked us," Connor said.

"Yeah, but who?" Duncan asked.

"Someone's coming out of the garage!" Anne said and pointed.

Up ahead, a burning Sonya carried Mark out and laid him in the driveway, trying to put his body out.

"Fire extinguisher, your foot well," Connor told Duncan.

As they came up, they could hear Sonya crying. They jumped out. Connor pointed and said, "Duncan, put her out!"

Duncan did, spraying the foamly substance over Sonya. Seeing this, Sonya grabbed the extinguisher and used the rest to cover Mark's body. Between the bad burns and some bone showing, it was fairly obvious he was dead.

Kaede puked again in the car and passed out. She was crying blood.

.

Delilah knew she had to act fast. She carried John, then Cameron out to Christine, who was restoring her paint and windows. She yelled, "Christine, I need you! Open your doors!" The car did for her. She put the unconscious John in the driver's seat and Cameron in the middle beside him. She then ran in and got a crying Jackie off the floor, having to pull her away from a dead Daniel. She carried Jackie out to put her in Christine' s back seat.

"HELP!"

Turning to the sound, she saw Bob pushing a wheelbarrow with Allison and Joan in it. "Christine, follow me," she said and ran up the driveway to Bob.

"Something's wrong with them, everyone else is dead," he sobbed.

"Pick up Joan, I'll get Allison," Delilah instructed.

As soon as Bob got his arms under Joan to lift, she made a noise and hugged him tight. Delilah got Allison and seeing Christine was close, she called, "stop!"

Delilah got Allison in with Jackie. When she tried to take Joan, Joan whimpered and hugged Bob tighter. "Just get in the back with her," she told Bob.

It was a struggle, but Bob got in the back seat, still holding Joan.

A plasma tank came down the driveway and stopped. The hatch opened and a terminator popped up.

"We have been hit with a neutron nuclear device," he announced.

OK, so that was what it was. Delilah asked, "Are the troops functional?"

"Yes, all have rebooted and are awaiting commands." the terminator replied.

Delilah said, "Send two tanks into town and look for survivors. One more to each farm in the area. The medic station on base have nanites?"

"We do."

"Send the order, bring all survivors to the base for treatment," Delilah told him. "Christine will follow you to the base."

"Yes, Ma'am."

Delilah got out of the way and told Christine, "Follow him to the base, let them get everyone out." She then told the tanker, "I'm going in the EV2 to look for any survivors around the lake."

Once they were on their way, Christine following the tank, Delilah got in the remains of the barn and got the EV2 out and headed around to see if anyone else did survive.

Going to the marine biologists house first, she noted fish and alligators floating on the water. The water was thick with them. Inside the house, both biologists were dead. Heading down to the Rigg's place, she saw neither Martin nor Sarah survived. They were on the blackened back porch, both burned to a crisp. Ashen looking forms of their former selves.

At the Tanner place, the house was empty and on fire. Delilah continued driving around to the Young house to find Daniel and Claire were dead, then Bob and Joan's house. Going in, she was checking the bodies and heard a moan. The red head twitched and moaned again. It was Malinara. Delilah went over and knelt by her.

Malinara opened her eyes briefly and shut them again. "What hit me?" she asked weakly.

"A nuclear bomb," Delilah told her.

"oh. That really hurt," Malinara whispered with a wince.

Delilah scooped her up and took her to the base. Delilah searched for anyone else alive. Everyone else, everything was dead around the lake.

.

JJ's mind felt scrambled. He held a limp, lifeless Peggy in his arms. He cried and jerkily petted her hair as he held her. He tried to tell her to wake up but like everyone else, she just stayed limp, her eyes half closed. Although he was trying to speak, he couldn't get the words out right. No matter how hard he focused, his mind stayed fuzzy, like his head was filled with cotton.

Hearing and seeing a tank roll up, he did get a and to jerk up to get their attention. His attempt at a call for help was only a garble of noise. Maybe they could wake Peggy up.

.

Delilah got up to the base and found out only two classes of being had survived. Cyborgs and Immortals. The Immortals had died, but woke back up. Full terminators had been shut down, and came back all but unscathed. All their kids were 'damaged', having biological brains. Cameron also had some biological brain also because she was not right either. Kaede the diclonius was getting sicker. nanites did help her, at least kept her alive, but she was going to be a long time healing. Malinara was also very weak, but hanging in there. Nanite treatments were doing well in healing, but it was going to take a while.

Cameron had at least the senses to walk by herself and sit by John by the end of the day. Until Cameron had all her brain back, it was up to Delilah to make decisions. At the moment, the only four people she had that were coherent were, Connor, Duncan, Bob and Judas. Sonya only sat and cried over Mark. They were stunned from the fact someone had hit the town with a nuclear bomb.

The lead terminator came in to the medical center. "Delilah Connor, we received a order to kill off any survivors."

Delilah eyed him. "Who gave that order?"

"The current commander of the military leadership in Austin. We are currently under martial law due to the Governor and LT. Governor being found dead, suspected assassinations."

"Do not follow that order. Someone hit us with a nuke, trying to kill everyone," she said firmly. "Until we know who did it, don't take any orders except from myself, Cameron or John. Can you contact John Henry?"

"Negative at the moment. He also referred to a Connor as being in charge in the last transmission I got from him stating that Catherine Weaver was being arrested."

"Whoever this is, is trying to take us all down," she said blankly.

"That is my assumption also. I expect this base will be hit next. We have defenses in place. We should evacuate."

"No, that will be expected. Put all planes in hangers in heavy camo. Every tank you can't get inside or underground, put heady camo over it. Make it look like we evacuated," Delilah told him. "We will need to operate in secret until we know more."

"Yes," Cameron said from beside John. "Operate in secret and see who comes to find out if they were successful. Station guards to both roads into town. Terminators in camo, four per road entry, two tanks in town hidden. scrambled communications. Position them after nightfall." Cameron turned to them with red eyes and said, "We need to know who killed our town."

.

With all the destruction, there was very little physical damage except right around the small lake. Above the lake seemed to be ground zero. Radios and TV still worked. So did the internet. Once John was wake enough to move and show he was going to recover, Cameron got work started on intel. Every channel they had, she had someone listening, and took on monitoring internet traffic. It wasn't until the evening news that a huge explosion was reported to have happened. The news also told of politician's deaths and the fact they were under martial law, General Jack Hawthorn was the Commanding Officer for Texas.

Cameron looked up information on General Jack Hawthorn. Until recently, he was Major Hawthorn at a Washington DC post. His fast promotion came the day before they got bombed, and although he was Commanding Officer, he hadn't arrived in Austin yet.

That was very suspicious. She also noted his promotion was the same day the Governor and his LT. had been killed. She hacked into airline records to see when his plane was due in. If it was martial Law, then she had to ensue it would not be someone from Washington who was going to be in charge of Texas.

The death toll was staggering. In Delilah's mind, it was like Sky Net was back for vengeance. Although she knew that was impractical, she couldn't help keeping watch for a Sky Net presence while she monitored their wounded. In one form or another, they were all wounded. If not physically, mentally.

There were no more smiles or twinkling eyes. Sonya had turned stone faced, in constant terminator mode. Cameron had gone full terminator, her red eyes shone brightly. As soon as she was coherent, Jackie's eyes leaked tears of rage, as did Joan. Allison turned very quiet and soft spoken. Looking at her closely though, one could see her eyeballs red and quivering. John also came around and once he was told of what happened, he became very serious and focused on finding out who was responsible for dropping a nuke on them.

There was one large job they needed to tend to. Burying the hundreds of bodies that used to be townspeople. For the numbers, it seemed a mass burial was in order, and that is what the lead terminator suggested. It would be efficient. John didn't agree. Efficiency wasn't the main concern here. Showing hundreds some form of respect was. For locations wise, many were buried where they died. If they died at home, they were buried in the yard. The mass in Sonya's factory were buried in the parking lot, which was torn up to accommodate the 50 graves needed there.

Malinara was weak, but never lost her lucidity. She wanted to go help Bob, Joan and Allison bury their former housemates. She tried to get up but Bob made her lie back down.

"Stay here and recover. You know it's a miracle you survived," he told her.

"It was a powerful fire, all through me. All at once. It's drained me, but I've regained some strength," she insisted.

Malinara had freckles now. Bob knew it was the wrong time to tell her that looked cute. "You're not strong enough yet ... and you don't need to see that. Please, stay here so I know you're safe, OK?"

Malinara clasped his hand and motioned him closer. Quietly, she said, "You know Hanna wanted you to have her breasts."

Bob squeezed his eyes shut. "Mal, I saw her body, she's burnt down to the bone. I'll give her a good burial, everyone else too. That's all we can do now."

Malinara nodded. "How'd that happen to us?" she asked.

"I don't know. I do know Cameron and John are trying to find out. So, stay here and listen, if you find out, let us know, OK?" he offered.

She nodded and laid back down willingly.

.

Allison held it together as they dug graves, chiseled the stone markers and buried their other housemates where the garden had been. They found Jo's body, but not Bruce's. She did fine until they went to her parent's house. She was to start digging while Bob and Joan went in to wrap the bodies up. They found Dr. Kimble in the foyer with a mermaid corpse. They got each of them wrapped up and Allison came inside to see her mother was laid out on a sheet, about to be wrapped up by Joan. Allison dropped to her knees and cried her eyes out.

.

The name of every person who died was recorded, as was the location of where they were buried. Stone was used as grave markers. Not fancy marble that was etched with names, but large enough stones to chisel the person's name in, then set atop of the grave. Bob and Duncan with a few terminators had this job. It was going to take them a while.

By it's construction, Joan's plane wasn't damaged other than blackened paint. Her and Allison got the job of making her plane ready to fly in camo color. Once that was done, she was to be a scout, flying low and looking for anyone who came. Focused on their task, at the end of day 3 after the bomb, Joan test flew her plane. She was to fly out no farther than 15 miles away and report any movements. If it was an aircraft or ground vehicle and tried to evade her, she was to destroy it.

It was also day 3 that John was fully awake and was getting his plans together. While some were for immediate retribution, he insisted they know who the guilty party was so they would go and destroy the guilty party. He also had a call to make.

.

The president was knew when to conform. After the assassinations of several Governors and a few senators, then news that a nuclear bomb had been 'accidentally' dropped on Texas somehow, he was told to keep it under wraps as much as possible, or else he would have a fatal accident. He had to play along for his own protection. As prodded to do so, he ordered Martial law to 'contain' the events until new Governors were elected.

Sitting at his desk, the secretary called. "Mr. President, there is a General Hawthorn on line for you. The Texas provisional Governor."

"Thank you." He said. "This is the President, what can I do for you, Mr. Hawthorn?"

The voice coldly said, "You can tell me how a nuclear weapon was set off in Texas, killing an entire town of people."

"I've heard that rumor. We have yet to verify it," he replied.

"Rumor, huh? Guess what, I was in the middle of that rumor. I can tell you three days ago, that 'rumor' exploded over our town and killed every innocent person here. I can also tell you it was no rumor, it was in fact a neutron bomb carried on a plane. The plane didn't even try to fly away, radar imaging shows it flew in then blew up. I can also tell you it is no rumor that if you do not find the guilty party, we will. We are also holding you accountable for this action, Mr. President."

"Mr. Hawthorn," the president said sternly, "Do not spread rumors like that around or you will be relieved!"

"It's not Hawthorn. The Name's John Connor, and if you don't find the guilty party and prosecute whoever sent that bomb, WE will, and you will no longer have a job. We'll be watching." *click*

The president stared at the phone. He then contacted the secret service to find out where that call came from. They did, it originated at a tower near the pentagon. All his men assured him it was a prankster, after all John Connor was killed in a nuclear explosion.

By the serious tone of the caller, The President wasn't quite sure about that.

.

While the grave digging was going on, and defensive forces were put out, Cameron kept looking for clues and evidence. One clue she got was from matching aircraft departures to arrivals. On the surface, normal transportation, she didn't find a plane that took off but never landed. Going through the control tower logs, she did find a twin engine plane that left Lake Charles Louisiana now four days ago. She called the airport it was to land at. It never arrived.

Having the name of the pilot and co-pilot of that flight, she found no information on them. Nothing, not even a certificate of birth. The plane itself and tail number was logged in as belonging to Fed-Ex, a common cargo carrier. She checked, Fed-ex didn't have a plane by that tail number. She also could not find that tail number in any registry, anywhere.

Cameron was setting up for another search when a message hacked it's way onto her computer.

17/10/2008

Cameron looked at it and tipped her head slightly. Quickly searching for the significance of that date, she recognized it as the date they destroyed the chip that was to bring Sky Net together on the military network. There were only a select few who knew that date. An IP then came up. She typed it in.

Cameron?

Yes. John Henry?

Yes. Catherine Weaver is on her way. She will need to crash her vehicle, you will need to pick her up.

What will she be driving?

The helicopter that was suppose to take her to prison. Course 110. Shoot it down, pick her up.

Cameron looked at the digital information he supplied after that, then sent back, 'Will do.'

.

Joan was happy to do something besides flying patrols and burying the dead. Cameron gave her the course and estimated time the helicopter was to arrive. Joan took off north from Driftwood to time her arrival in the Hamilton hills area where the helicopter was to appear. Flying along low and slow, she watched the sky above her and to the sides. She also listened to air traffic. Not long after she got to where she was to meet the helicopter, she heard a report.

"T1 to Guard one and two, we will be stopping in Austin for refueling."

"Guard one, acknowledged."

"Guard two, acknowledged. Why are we guarding the prisoner again?"

"T1 to guard two, just do your job. This prisoner is very volatile. a rescue effort is expected."

Joan lifted up and gave the plane a little more power. ahead and to her left, three helicopters were coming, it looked around 10,000 feet. She added more power and planned her intercept path, right up underneath them. She thought the 'T1' helicopter was in the middle. Far below them was a lake. She had to time this right. She realized she'd probably have to destroy all three. Angled up, she came up from underneath and slightly behind them. Rising up until she had them close and was almost on top of them, she fired at the right side helicopter. It exploded. She shifted to aim at the one on the left.

"Guard one just blew up!"

"Do we have incoming?"

Joan shot the one on the left. The plasma bolt she fired blew that one up.

A frantic call sounded, "This is T-1 both guards have been..."

Joan shot the middle one, ending his report, and blowing that helicopter to pieces. She lifted fast and flew over the bits and chunks, cut power and turned over to see what was falling.

In the shredded and burning pieces of helicopter, she saw a silver parachute shape deployed. It changed shape into what looked more like a small glider. It flew away from the falling pieces. Joan followed, cutting back her engine to an idle. They were diving steep enough to keep up air speed. She was slowly catching up to it and got behind it. As they closed, thin tendrils reached back to grab the front of Joan's plane, then the glider got closer. The silver glider deformed to wrap around the front and sides of her cockpit.

Joan leveled out and put on enough speed to keep altitude. She had to push hard to get the canopy to crack open. When she did, silver ran in to fill the passenger seat. she closed the cockpit and dropped down below 700 feet and put on speed. Catherine Weaver reformed.

"Hi Catherine," Joan offered. "I'm surprised you let them catch you."

Catherine offered her a weak smile. "Hello Joan. There was information I needed, and John needs as well. Besides, this way it appears as if I died in that accident. No one will be looking for me."

"If it works, it works. Did you find out who nuked us?"

"I know of the entity involved, yes, but we must discover all the players," Catherine told her. "They call themselves the People's Socialist Revolution, and like to make bad ideas sound good. Right now, they are aiming at total control of the country, both politically and ideologically."

"So we have to kick their asses," Joan concluded.

"We need to do more than that, dear. We need to destroy them completely, like they are trying to do with us," Catherine explained. "They are very aggressive and will lie, steal and kill to get the power they want. Look at what they did to your peaceful town just to try and kill your father."

"Yeah," Joan replied quietly. "We need to murder those bastards. Slowly."

.

Joan overflew the small lake. With the thousands of bloated corpses on the water, she didn't even want to think about landing there. Fires around the lake had engulfed much of the forest, and the Tanner house along with the Riggs house. One more thing those bastards had destroyed. She went to the air strip on the base to touch down.

Upon landing, Joan taxied over to the second hanger opening. It was opened and her plane was pushed in and turned around. Unlike most hangers that had a half barrel shape to them, these looked more like a ridge on the outside, complete with grass and bushes on top. The door, instead of being a metal sliding door, was a lift door that when it was down, looked more like hillside. All six hangers were in the long ridge. Inside isolation doors were set to close between them in case of a fire in one, it would not spread through all the hangers.

John had a meeting scheduled for the moment Catherine arrived. In the meeting room, Catherine met many she hadn't seen in a while. Everyone was glad to see she was alive and well. Once everyone got a chance to greet her, she stood at the head of the table and explained what she'd discovered.

"The entity or group behind this is called the People's Socialist Revolution. Two major players are behind it. China and North Korea. Iran has a smaller hand in it, as does Russia. The primary backer is China, and rich, greedy people here. Through greed and some blackmail, China has gotten their cooperation and their loyalty, promising them lead positions and wealth so long as they do as they are told. You would think, or hope, that there are only a few of these people. That is not the case. I let them interrogate me. Since they had their computers there while they were asking me questions, I was hacking into them and let John Henry have full access to their systems. From their own network, John Henry and I discovered this group is around 410,000 individuals. Yes, some are politicians, others are teachers and professors, some business people, Wall Street people and a large scattering of others. The man coming to Texas to be the military Governor is one of the PSR leaders. He is due to arrive here with his plans and cohorts Monday afternoon. He will also have his discrete communications with his boss and fellow slime bags for coordination. We need to take him out and replace him as fast and quietly as possible."

"Catherine, you're going to pretend to be him?" John asked.

"Briefly, while his fellow socialists are still alive," Catherine said. "After that, John, you will be the Governor. I am going to move on to the east where these people are concentrated, and remove their leaders like they removed our elected leaders. This is going to take time, and for a while, John, you will have to be the Military Governor. Try not to start a rebellion unless you must. Once we are exposed it's going to be a fight. We want to establish as much control as possible before that happens."

"Can we gather Governors to remove the president like we did before?" John asked.

"That is one thing they are guarding against," Catherine explained. "They have paid off, killed, or blackmailed enough Governors that you can no longer get enough states to agree, and that would also expose to them the fact you haven't died like has been reported. John Henry reported with satellite photo proof, doctored images of course, that there's nothing left here. To them, there are no survivors here. Everyone was killed and the area is hot in radiation. That will give you time to recover as much as you can. The exclusion area is 20 miles out, centered on the small lake. A fence will eventually be going up and guards will be manning the outside of the perimeter."

"Keep people out, or us in?" Cameron asked.

"People out," Catherine said. "I'm sure you'll be able to devise a way to get out of you need to go. Just remember, you'll have to grow and make things you need, unless you're willing to go through the fence some place."

.

John and Catherine planned. One thing needing to be done was replacing first the Texas Governor with John, then replacing other state military Governors aligned with the PSR with their people. They also had to work on people, especially the younger ones who were currently being taught socialist 'the government is your friend and father' ideology.

That was where the infiltrators became useful. Joan, Allison, Bob, Jackie, JJ, and even Malinara wanted to go out and help instigate trouble for these PSR people. Due to Catherine Weaver getting lists of names and their jobs, they had a wide list of people to go after.

At first it seemed impossible, so few going after so many. If they focused on trying to catch them at rallies and large gatherings, they could get a few at a time and drive others into hiding. To be the most effective, they had to split up and only meet together once in a while. Besides nipping at the organization, they would also be forcing the PSR people to communicate. The more they communicated, the more John Henry could learn about them and pass information on to Cameron.

Their first target wasn't far away. It was on the news that Military Government men were coming to Johnson City to explain the 'land redistribution' plan to make things more fair and equal for everyone. Jackie was going there. Bob was going to San Marcos, Joan was going to Austin, separate from the 'governor' group, and Bob was then going on a long range mission to NYC to find out how popular this new Military Government was up there. None of them liked the idea of being separated, but they knew they had to move fast.
