Welcome back to another chapter of Rex and Cody basically being situationally tortured by Ahsoka. :)

Wow...that was a blunt way of putting it XD Though, as of yet, I think accurate. Anyway, hope you enjoy! :D

Recap: Ahsoka Tano has just discovered that both the Captain of the 501st and the Commander of the 212th are pushing themselves to exhaustion and has decided to take action. Even now, as Clone Commander Cody makes his arrival on the Resolute, Ahsoka has already put her plan into motion. Yet she knows that her current solution will only last so long...

Sure enough, twelve minutes later, a shuttle from Kenobi's Star Destroyer landed in the hanger of the Resolute, a resigned Commander Cody stepping from the craft with out so much as a nod to Ahsoka. Even though Rex hadn't finished with his quarters like Ahsoka had told him to, he stood there with her in the hanger because she knew he would try to disappear before she returned if she left him alone for any period of time.

Likewise, she wasn't willing to give Cody an opportunity to escape either. The moment he stepped off the shuttle, she had both captain and commander marched down to Rex's quarters and had made sure there were guards posted on the outside. . . just in case. Even still, she wasn't content with just that. She knew that two guards on the outside wouldn't be enough, and she figured one more wouldn't hurt. So she sat down in the corner of the small bedroom and made herself comfortable.

''Commander, you really don't have to do this.'' Rex groaned, seeing her positioned where she could see everything in the room. ''You and General Skywalker have things you need to finish.''

''Yes,'' Cody nodded, unbuckling his wrist guards, ''And I'll bet there are more pressing matters that you have to deal with rather then just us.''

Ahsoka just leaned back and smirked. ''No, I don't. And besides, I enjoy your company,'' she shook her head, closing her eyes as she rested her head back, ''so I don't plan on leaving any time soon.''

There was a collective groan, then silence except for the the faint clicks of the plastoid armor being placed on the shelves. When they'd stripped down to their blacks, they glanced at her, asking silently if she still wanted to deal with this personally and didn't want to bow out now.

She cracked open an eye and merely waved her hand encouragingly, a nodding smirk on her face as if to say, You're not getting me to back down on this so don't even try this fight. I will win.

Knowing she was right and shame-faced from being bested by a fourteen year-old girl, they crawled into bed, waiting for sleep to come. . .It didn't take long. Barely one minute later, they were fast asleep.

She waited till she could hear their soft snoring before she stood. When Ahsoka leaned over one bunk and then the other, she smiled to see both troopers soundly conked-out. But they had been right about there being other things that she had to work on, and unless either of them woke up, she knew it was safe to leave them. Not that she wanted too. Oddly enough, watching her friends sleep was some what comforting, like knowing that she protecting them some how.

Well, I guess technically I could say I'm protecting them from themselves, Ahsoka shrugged, tip-toeing out the door.

She nodded at the guards she'd personally posted outside the captain's quarters before striding down the hallway, her mind wandering back to how tired her friends were. What was pushing them so much that they would do that? And how was she going to fix it? Could she even fix it? She knew that forcing them to sleep would only work for so long, and it wouldn't take long for them to exceed annoyed-enough to force her to back down.

Urgh, I don't know what to do! she thought, pressing her palm hard to her forehead, a habit she'd seen some of the clones do when they were annoyed with themselves.

How am I supposed to help them? I've never had to deal with something like this. . .Not with clones anyway. With Skyguy, anything is so different that the solution for him wouldn't work on anyone else. Or, if it did, it'd be rarely. But I guess it's a place to start. After all, Rex does take after Master Skywalker.

Let's see, when Skyguy was getting self-sleep deprived, he had to be quarantined for a week. . .

But as soon as the thought came, she quickly discarded it.

No, that's a bad idea. Not good for those guys. Hrm. Well, after about the ninth time we had to do that, the only thing that got him functioning again was a miracle because Padme had a vacation spot she had had to fill. Since we'd been on a break, she'd given it to him and then she let the rest of us go with him in order to keep an eye on. . .Wait a minute.

Suddenly, Ahsoka gasped. ''That's it!''

She sprinted down the corridor, trying not to run into anyone as she turned a corner. Even though it was technically against the regs to be running on Admiral Yularen's Star Destroyer, she couldn't help it; she felt as if she didn't get to Anakin first then her idea would make her burst.

Which, with her energy levels, was completely possible - according everyone else on board...

''Master! Master!''

When Ahsoka dashed onto the bridge, slowing down just in time to not get Yularen's stern glare, and saw Skywalker leaning against the comm table, clearly waiting for Obi-wan to come back online.

But when she entered, Anakin turned, surprised. ''Snips? I thought you were babysitting the guys. They didn't-Oh no,'' he closed his eyes and groaned. ''They didn't escape already did they?''

''Master-''

''Cause if so, I really don't want to have to be the one to chase them down.''

''Master.'' Ahsoka tried again, a bit annoyed.

''Well, if that's the case, make sure to take Kix with you, I'm sure he'll-''

''Master!''

''What?'' He asked, glancing down at her, ''I thought you liked babysitting, Snips.'' he grinned, ''Right up your alley.''

''Master,'' she replied tersely, ''I'm not babysitting, they haven't escaped-least not last I checked, and that's not why I'm here!''

''Okay, okay, calm down. Now, if they haven't escaped, then why are you here?''

Suddenly, as if by magic, all of her annoyance vanished. Ahsoka was bouncing on the balls of her feet, her eyes shining as she leaned forward excitedly. ''I have an idea.''

Anakin winced. ''Oh no; I was afraid of that.''

''Would you stop? I'm trying to help Rex and Cody. I think I know how we could get them to rest up even if they didn't want to.''

Nodding slowly, cautiously, he said, ''Ooookaaay. How would that work?''

''We put them in an environment that they've never been in before and we make sure that they have nothing military to do.''

She clasped her hands behind her and stared up at him with a smug grin. ''Never been a simpler solution.''

Skywalker blinked. ''That's it?''

Ahsoka's smug smile vanished, replaced with a frown. ''What do you mean 'that's it'?''

''You're planning to stick them in a box and force them to listen to 'It's a Small World' in order for them to fall asleep? That's kind of. . .'' He trailed off when he saw the look on her face. ''That's not what you had in mind?''

''Of course not! That judgement is reserved for you, and you only. No, what I was planning on doing was calling Senator Amidala and asking her if she knew of any places where we could drop them off so they could take a short vacation. Honestly that's the only reason why I came back to the bridge was to ask you if I could call her.''

''Then I don't know why you bothered because my answer's no.''

The Padawan froze. ''What?'' she asked, staring at him with a deer-in-the-headlights look. ''What do you mean?''

Anakin was about to answer when Obi-wan's holo reappeared. The moment he saw Ahsoka, he groaned. ''Don't tell me they escaped already.''

''Why does everyone keep saying that. NO! They haven't; they're just fine, asleep in Rex's cabin.''

Obi-wan gave her a skeptical frown. Giving him one of her own, Ahsoka slapped the commlink on her wrist and said flatly, ''Coric, what's the guy's status?''

''Since you left, we haven't heard a thing from inside, Commander. All's quiet here.''

''Don't worry about them, Skipper,'' Axe added, ''We're watching.''

''Thank you. Alert me if that changes.''

''Will do.''

Then she flipped off the link and glared at the two Jedi in front of her, holding their gaze before she finally spoke, her voice low and just barely constrained from anger.

''Since they are doing well, I'm going down to the comm center and putting in a link to Senator Amidala to talk to her. This will be a once-occurring-thing so this is the only time I'll bother with asking first. If possible, I will, at the very least, acquire the coordinates for a remote area where Rex and Cody can spend a week without any interruptions.''

The dark look in her eyes lifted and she grinned, ''Seeya!''

As she darted off the deck, Anakin was about to stop her, but Obi-wan just waved his hand dismissively.

''Don't even bother trying to talk her out of this one, Anakin. Not if she's truly learned a thing or two from you.''

''Oh, yeah? Why not?''

''Because if she has, that means she's like you; and we all know I couldn't never talk you out of anything.''

Quick question: does this sound like it will bode well for our favorite boys? (outside of the Bad Batch, of course) ;J Well, let me just say, I suppose it depends on your definition of 'well'.

Thank you for reading and I hope to see you next time! :D
