The Time Patrol location of Conton City was a busy place, heroes training to fix rifts in the timelines. The city was led by Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, alongside her pet owl Toki Toki, and her assistant Trunks. Many knew Trunks as the son of the Saiyan Prince Vegeta, who was one of the original Time Travelers, having traveled through time to warn Goku of the arrival of the Androids.
His actions did lead to Toki Toki city being made, that city then becoming Conton City. With other evil doers trying to mess with the timeline for their own purposes, other Time Patrollers were recruited to maintain balance.
Two prized Time Patrollers were Cabba, a Universe Six Saiyan from what's been called the 'Super' Timeline and Pan, The Granddaughter of the Legendary Warrior Son Goku, who comes from what is called the 'GT' Timeline. Chronoa hasn't given much update as to how she got these names, though insisting that they mean something, rumor is that she just came up with whatever popped into her head.
Cabba first met Pan when his friend, ally and fellow Universe 6 Saiyan Caulifla messed with a Time Machine and transported the two along with another Universe 6 Saiyan, that being Kale. The time machine brought them into Pan's timeline where Cabba met her along with her friend Bulla.
Some time later, Cabba had met Pan yet again on the Prison Planet, the two having been brought there in some form or another. After a battle against enemies like Turles, Lord Slug and Broly, the two had gone back home, before getting an invite to join the Time Patrol.
Chronoa, who had been to Prison Planet herself, had taken an interest in the two and wanted to utilize both their abilities, plus at the moment, they were the best to work with her, given their talent and how likely they were willing to use their skills to make for a better timeline.
It began right after their recruitment, Cabba and Pan had arrived in Conton City and awaited their first assignment from Chronoa.
"Alright you two, you both know what to do correct?" Chronoa asked.
"Yeah, go through the timeline and fix anomalies," Pan said.
"Right, as Time Patrollers it is your duty to make sure the timelines progress normally," Chronoa said. "You'll be sent to parts in time where things trail off the natural order and be expected to fix it."
"What type of anomalies will we encounter?" Cabba asked.
"It's usually enemies getting stronger at a certain point that they're not suppose to," Chronoa said. "For example, if one warrior is suppose to defeat the evil, and that evil inexplicably became stronger, then you'd be expected to stop that evil."
"Seems simple enough," Pan said.
"Yes, it is simple, pretty much anyone can do it if they're strong enough," Chronoa said. "And you two are very strong, so I'll be counting on the two of you to get the job done."
"I am curious about something though," Cabba said. "Going through the timelines is suppose to fix the problem correct?"
"Yes, if you stop the anomaly, then things go back to normal," Chronoa explained.
"But I was under the impression that fixing the past wouldn't affect the future," Cabba said.
"That's only through mortal technology," Chronoa explained. "Trunks's time machine cannot change the past, but my ability can. If I send you to fix something, then the change would affect the future."
"But by that logic, if we go back and fix the future, what if Grandpa or papa or anyone else sees us?" Pan asked.
"Don't worry about that, just do what you need to and let me take care of the rest," Chronoa said.
"Also, why do we need to fix it, can't you do that yourself?" Pan asked.
"If I could I wouldn't have started the Time Patrol!" Chronoa explained. "Some of these anomalies are caused by dark magic, which is very consuming to fix by myself, that's why I need you to go in and weaken the magic! Understand?"
"h...sure, I guess?" Pan said, still finding this explanation a bit weird but she's learned not to question thins too much. "Where to first?"
"I'm sending you both back to the time where Goku and Piccolo first did battle against the Saiyan Raditz," Chronoa said.
"Raditz? You mean my grandpa's brother?" Pan asked.
"The very same," Chronoa confirmed, opening the portal. "It's fairly simple, just weaken him enough for Piccolo to hit his Special Beam Cannon, and then boom, problem solved."
"Alright, sounds easy, I think," Cabba said, scratching his head.
"It is, just go in and kick some butt, do what you do best and fight for ?Justice!" Chronoa said. "Now, in you go!"
The two jumped through, traveling back light years in time until they arrived on a grassy field. They both took a look around the plains, very curious about where exactly they were. Cabba was a bit lost, he was hardly on Earth and would have to rely on Pan to guide him around, but this area was unfamiliar to the girl.
"Do you sense anything Cabba?" Pan asked, scouting over the land.
The looked around, trying to feel out any bit of ki he could find. The area seemed pretty baron but it wasn't long before he could sense at lest three powers. He quickly pointed east of his position, "Over there!"
From the distance they heard some clashes. Dashing over they could spot Raditz battling both Piccolo and Goku, proving to be more than a match for the two Z-Fighters.
"You should have joined me when you had the chance Kakarot," Raditz said, pressing his foot down on Goku's ribs, getting a loud yelp of pain from him.
"No, grandpa!" Pan shouted in worry.
"Can you both hear me?" Came Chronoa's voice, surprising the two.
"Supreme Kai of Time?" Cabba asked, looking around in confusion.
"That's me, now in the proper timeline Radtiz was stronger than Goku and Piccolo, but here he's too strong for them to even stand the slightest chance, you have to even up the odds," Chronoa said.
"The two of us should be more than a match against him, we probably don't even need to go Super Saiyan," Pan said.
"Let's not go in overconfident," Cabba said. "That could lead to a mistake, treat every opponent seriously."
"I will," Pan playfully reassured.
"Still, I'd rather neither one of you transformed," Chronoa said. "It might make things a little more difficult to fix, neither Goku nor Piccolo know what a Super Saiyan is and to Raditz it's just a Fairly Tail Legend. Try to win with your base power if you can."
"Yes ma'am," Cabba reassured.
Raditz was preparing an attack, "Time for you to die Kakarot!" Suddenly his scouter went off, but when he turned to check, he was met with a kick to the face, courtesy of Cabba.
"You back away from them!" Cabba shouted.
Raditz rubbed off the attack, looking directly at Cabba. "Another Earthling? Wait, something about him seems different than the others, hold on." He used his scouter to check his power level. "3000!? That's unusual."
"What's that on his face?" Cabba wondered, just as Pan flew next to him.
"Bulma told me about those, they're called Scouters," Pan explained. "They're used to detect power levels for the warriors who can't sense energy."
"That girl...her power is also at 3000," Raditz said. "Very interesting, but no matter, I feel much stronger than I did earlier, perhaps this planet's atmosphere somehow boosted my own power."
"I don't think that's how it even works," Cabba said, somewhat confused by Raditz's statement. "But I guess that's the only way he can explain it."
Goku struggled to stand, taking note of the two newcomer helpers, "Huh? Who are you two?"
"Uh...just two random people passing by," Cabba nervously said.
"You're terrible at covering up," Chronoa scolded. "Lucky for you, Goku won't remember any of this once I fix the timeline, but try to keep interactions minimal, makes the correction a lot easier."
Cabba nodded and turned to Goku, "You look hurt, let me and my friend handle the rest."
"Well, you two seem pretty strong, your energy's high," Goku said, having sensed their ki. "Normally I don't like sitting out a fight but I don't have much of a choice here, I'll be counting on you."
Raditz marched over to the two as Goku took a step back, "So, you two really think you can take on a warrior such as myself huh? Your arrogance will be your downfall!"
Raditz dashed in to attack, with Pan and Cabba launching themselves and clashing against the sole Saiyan, both their punches blocked. Raditz then pulled Pan and Cabba together, banging their heads together and then elbowing them both back.
The two skidded to a stop, but Raditz appeared behind them and kneed them both in the back, knocking them forward, the two stumbling to stop.
"He's stronger than I thought," Cabba said, glaring at the Saiyan.
"Of course I'm strong, I am part of an elite Saiyan Squad!" Raditz shouted, flying in to punch Cabba and then hit Pan with an uppercut.
"Even with those two helping he has the upper hand," Goku said, Piccolo also struggling to stand.
"Goku, I have a way to beat him, but it's gonna require some time," Piccolo said. "It's a new technique I've been working on, one I intended to kill you with."
"Really, now I'm interested in seeing what this technique of yours is," Goku said.
"Well you'll have to keep him distracted long enough for me to charge my attack," Piccolo said. "Though even with those two helping I doubt we'll have any success."
"It's worth a try," Goku said, getting ready for battle. "Let's do this!"
Pan and Cabba rushed back to attack Radtiz, trying to find an opening against the Saiyan, but he was quick, a lot quicker than they prepared for. Cabba went for a leg sweep, trying to knock Raditz off balance, but the Saiyan was agile enough to land on his hand and kick Cabba in the face,
Pan tried attacking from behind, but Raditz had gotten back on his feet and kneed Pan in the stomach. "Weaklings, both of you!"
"His power is incredible," Cabba said. "He is part of Goku's family though, and they seem to have latent abilities that would make most warriors jealous. If his brother trained as hard as Goku did, no doubt he'd be unstoppable."
Pan quickly zipped next to Cabba, "Got any ideas?"
"Max out your power, but try not to go Super Saiyan just yet," Cabba suggested.
"Uh, alright," Pan said, the two powering up some more, much to the confusion of Radtiz.
What's this? Their power level is rising!" Raditz read his scouter, amazed by what what he was seeing, but the device started to spark. Acting quickly he turned it off before it overloaded. "Damn useless gadget! Doesn't matter, I'll still destroy the two of you!"
Pan and Cabba rushed in, both throwing blows at Raditz, the older Saiyan still able to block all incoming attacks. The two managed to get him in the stomach with a double punch, Pan lifting hers into an uppercut while Cabba kicked Raditiz in the side of the face.
Raditz quickly recovered and went for another attack but Cabba kneed him in the face while Pan flew in from behind and kicked him in the back. The two zipped into the air above Radtiz and flew down with a double kick to the Saiyan, knocking him back.
"That's it!" Raditz shouted, powering up his Double Sunday attack. "Take this!"
The two began to charge their own ki attacks, Pan firing her attack first. "Kamehame-HA!'
Cabba fired his beam attack second, "Galick Cannon!"
The two blocked Radtiz's beam and pushed back. Fearing being overwhelmed, the Saiyan leapt into the air, out of the path of the two beams. "That was close."
"Shoot, almost had him," Pan said.
"Hey, was that my Kamehameha?" Goku asked, getting a freaked out blush from Pan.
"Oh right...I used my grandpa's attack right in front of him," Pan realized, feeling very foolish. "I hope we won't regret that"
"I don't think it'll be any trouble, maybe they won't think about it too much," Cabba said. "Still, try to exersize caution, difficult as it may be in battle it's a very useful trait."
Raditz landed down before the two young warriors, "That was quite an attack, especially from you boy. It actually resembles the Galick Gun attack my superior has."
"Huh?" Cabba said. "Wait, superior?"
"He means Vegeta," Pan whispered to Cabba. "He's one of his subordinates."
"Master?" Cabba said in confusion. He did remember Vegeta telling him that Saiyans used to conquer planets, and he had an idea that Vegeta could be cruel based on the terrible things he said during the Universe Six vs Seven Tournament. "Then I made the same mistake."
"It happens," Pan reasssured. "So Don't worry about that now, focus on defeating Raditz."
"Uh, right, I got it," Cabba said, focusing back on the fight. "Let's just be extra careful on which attacks we use."
Raditz got back into stance, "Come on, I'm still ready for more."
Cabba and Pan also got into stance, both needing to figure out another way to keep Raditz down without using too much power. Just as Raditiz was about to rush in and attack, he suddenly felt weaker, much to the confusion of Cabba and Pan.
"You let your guard down," Goku said, having a firm grip on Raditz's tail. "If your tail is anything like mine then this should hurt like crazy!"
Raditz fell to the ground, feeling almost completely paralyzed, "How...how could I...be so careless?"
"What's he doing?" Cabba asked.
"Oh I remember this," Pan said, completely aloud. "If you grab a Saiyan's tail, they become weaker, Grandpa told me how it used to hurt him when someone grabbed his tail as a kid, same with my papa."
"Hey how do you know about Saiyans?" Goku asked, having overheard.
"Uh...research?" Pan nervously replied.
"Never mind that, let's focus on defeating that guy!" Cabba said, hoping to stay off that topic.
"Right," Goku turned to his temporary ally. "Yo Piccolo! Is your attack ready!?"
"Just about, keep holding him in place!" Piccolo ordered.
"Kakarot wait, would you really kill your only brother?" Raditz asked.
"Save it, no brother of mine would do the horrible things you have," Goku said. "Taking my son, trying to get me to kill innocent people, you're a monster, we'd be better off with out you!"
"This is unusually cold of my grandpa to say," Pan commented.
"I'm almost inclined to agree, the Goku I knew has always been kind spirited, then again it sounds like his son was put in danger, so it might be more of a paternal thing," Cabba said.
"Grandpa really gets the most aggressive whenever friends or family is involved," Pan said.
"Please brother, if you let me go, I'll leave this planet!" Raditz begged. "You'll never see me again, I'll leave you in peace!"
"Don't listen to him Goku, it's a trick!" Piccolo warned as he continued to charge his attack.
"Supreme Kai of Time," Cabba called to hi superior, "Should we be going back now? Looks like things are under control."
"Not yet, something still seems off," Supreme Kai of Time said.
"What could be-" Cabba felt a surge of evil energy for a moment, then turned to Raditz's direction and saw the Saiyan powering up immensely. He sent off a massive aura to knock Goku away, freeing himself from his paralysis.
"What in the world!?" Goku shouted, then took a knee to his gut.
"You little fool!" Raditz shouted, then punched Goku across the jaw. He set his sights on Piccolo and flew in to attack, but Pan and Cabba had rushed over and kicked him away.
"We'll try to restrain him, keep charging your attack!" Cabba instructed to Piccolo.
"I just need another minute!" Piccolo said, trying to charge as fast as he can.
"I hope he can generate enough power!" Pan said. "Raditz just got a million times stronger."
"We need to have faith, Piccolo knows what he's doing," Cabba said. "He demonstrated his tactical genius during the two tournaments I've seen him in"
"Well let's hope it works just as well now as it did in your time!" Pan said, focusing back on Raditz.
The two rushed to grabbed Raditz but he had bashed Cabba in the face with a forearm and hit an uppercut on Pan, then grabbed both their legs and slammed them into each other and onto the floor.
Both fired a strong ki blast to get him to loosen his grip, but he held up and instead tossed them both into the air as he fired another Double Sunday attack. Cabba and Pan both grabbed the attack, trying to hold it back, though it was slowly becoming too much for them.
They quickly parried the attacks away and tried flying back down to attack some more but Raditz flew up at them, clipping them both with his forearms and them double smashing them to the ground below.
"How is he this strong?" Pan said, struggling to stand.
"Looks like we'll have no choice but to-" Suddenly Raditz flew down, slamming his knees into their backs, both of them loosing a bunch of air from their bodies instantly.
"You two are so weak it's laughable," Raditz said, charging up a ki blast. "Both of you prepare to die!" Goku flew over and kicked Raditz in the face, but the older Saiyan just punched Goku much harder, knocking him back. "Still want to die that badly Kakarot? Then allow me to oblige."
Suddenly a burst of energy came from Raditz's pod as a young Gohan blasted through, landing on the ground, looking rather angry and intense.
"What is this!?" Raditz asked.
"G-Gohan?" Goku said, turning to his son. "Gohan! Run away! Hurry!"
"Be quiet!" Raditz shouted, stomping on Goku's ribs. "Like running will do anything! I can find him easily with my scouter!"
Cabba looked toward Gohan's direction, recognizing the boy instantly, "Hey, it's Gohan."
"Papa?" Pan sat up, seeing the smaller version of her father. "His power...it's pretty amazing!"
"You! Get away from my daddy!" Gohan shouted at Raditz.
The older Saiyan was curious, so he used his scouter to check Gohan's power level, "What!? His power level is 1307!?"
"This is for hurting my daddy!" Gohan flew in and headbutted Radtiz's torso, knocking the Saiyan back.
"What the!?" Piccolo shouted in disbelief.
Raditz stumbled back, clearly annoyed by what happened, "Like that would do anything, little brat!" He went to attack Gohan but Goku had leapt and grabbed his brother from behind. "You! Do you really think that will-"
Cabba and Pan rushed over, quickly grabbing his legs, Pan on the left side and Cabba on the right, the three working together to keep Raditz from moving.
"We got him!" Pan shouted.
"Good, hold him still! I'm just about ready!" Piccolo said.
"Wait, what are you doing!?" Raditz shouted. "Kakarot you fool, if you stay there you'll die as well!"
"Well then, I guess we're going down together!" Goku said, restraining his brother.
"You wouldn't!" Raditz shouted in fear. "You actually want to die!?"
"If it'll keep my son safe from you then it's worth it!" Goku stated, struggling to keep his evil brother in place.
"Wait! If you let me go, then I'll leave! For real this time!" Raditz pleaded.
"You didn't leave the last time, I'm not buying it this time!" Goku said.
"NO! STOP!" Raditz shouted.
"Here it comes! Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo sent the beam piercing through Raditz's chest, and in turn, Goku's as well. Before long both Saiyans fell to the ground with big gaping holes in their chests.
Raditz began to cough up blood, "D-dammit! How could I lose!?"
"You were outnumbered and outmatched," Piccolo said, then turned his attention to Goku. "Funny how things work out, I only agreed to this team up to take down a bigger threat, and in the end I succeed in both my short-term goal and my long-term." Piccolo scoffed. "Though knowing his pitiful friends, they'll probably revive him with The Dragon Balls."
"Dr-dragon Balls?" Raditz wondered out loud.
Meanwhile Pan and Cabba are both kneeling over Goku, Pan doing her best to stop the blood from leaving her grandfather's body. "Don't worry, we'll help you."
"I appreciate the thought, but I'm done for," Goku said, almost chuckling. "It's fine, as long as my son is safe then it was worth it."
Pan turned her attention to Gohan, who looked out of it from having headbutted Raditz. With the Saiyan's increased power, the attack took more out of Gohan than expected. Seeing her father so small and almost helpless was a very foreign thing to Pan, far as she's heard, Gohan's been strong since he was a boy, though perhaps this was before his training really started.
"I'm sorry it came to this," Cabba said to the fallen Saiyan.
"It couldn't be helped, I appreciate you coming by to help us out," Goku said. "Still don't know who you are though."
"...Cabba," the boy replied, figuring it's worth the risk to tell Goku. "And that's Pan."
"Well, it's nice to meet you both," Goku said, coughing up a bit more. "You're both really strong, keep up your training."
"We will..." Pan said, the girl almost in tears. Regardless of the version, seeing her grandfather die like this was painful to the girl's heart.
Cabba felt a weird nagging sensation, suddenly he heard the voice of Chronoa. "Cabba, it's time to come back."
Nodding his head, Cabba stood up, holding his hand out to Pan, "We have to go."
"Huh? But..." Pan looked down to Goku. "We can't leave him like this!"
Chronoa spoke again, this time to the young girl, "Pan, I know it's hard for you but this is the proper timeline, you have to make your way back to the Time Nest."
Pan clenched her fist hard, feeling internally conflicted. She knows this is the past, and this did need to happen, but she can't bring it to herself to leave Goku like this.
"Hey, don't worry about me, I'll be fine," Goku insisted. "We have something called Dragon Balls, they'll fix this problem."
"You say that so casually..." Pan said, somewhat annoyed.
"Yeah, sorry if it's insensitive to just say like that," Goku said. "Still, don't worry about me, even if I die, it'll only be for a bit, not something many could say."
"Come on Pan," Cabba said, his hand still out.
Pan reluctantly nodded her head and grabbed her friend's hand, "Bye grandpa."
"Grandpa?" Goku wondered as the two got whisked back to the Time Nest in Conton City.
Both Cabba and Pan landed right beside Chronoa, the Time Kai looking somewhat pleased with what she had seen. "Congrats, your mission was a success, not bad for your first time out there."
"Thank you ma'am," Cabba said, bowing to her.
"Yeah, thanks," Pan said, still a little shaken up from what happened to Goku.
"Though I do have some critiques," Chronoa said. "Firstly, be careful when interacting with everyone in the past, telling them your name probably wasn't the best idea, but it's nothing I can't fix. Also be careful what knowledge you share, thankfully they didn't really pay much mind to using familiar attacks, but don't risk it in the future. I know that might be a bit of a hard task, especially for you Pan since your techniques were taught by Goku and his friends, just at least try to be creative with your attacks next time."
"Yes, we will, thank you," Cabba said.
"And please remember not to say stuff like 'grandpa'," Chronoa said, Pan sheepishly flinching. "Nothing I can't fix but it's still way too risky."
"Now go rest up, I have a few more anomalies for you to take care of, but I won't send you right back out there just yet, there's a place in town to eat, I suggest getting some refreshments," Chronoa said.
"That sounds like a great idea," Cabba said, then turned to Pan "Are you up for a bite?"
"Uh-huh," Pan said, barely responding.
"Pan? Are you doing alright?" Cabba asked.
"I'll be fine, this just takes some getting used to I guess," Pan said, then made her way out of the room. "See you in town."
"Pan?" Cabba said, feeling worried for the girl.
"It makes sense that she's shaken up, even if she probably knew that Goku was suppose to die in that fight it doesn't make it any easier," Chronoa said. "I hope she can overcome this, I'd like her assistance with the other missions but I don't want it to be too heavy on her."
"I'll go and talk this out with her," Cabba said. "Hopefully that'll help."
"It just might, plus this could be a good chance for you two to get to know each other better, and the more you know your teammate, the more efficient your teamwork will be," Chronoa said.
"Good idea," Cabba said. He began making his way into town, a very busy place, various different Time Patrollers as far as the eye can see. Some of them being Earthlings, some of them Majin, some resembling Frost and Frieza, some being Namekian, there were even a handful of Saiyans. "Such a lively place." He looked around and spotted Pan sitting near a statue. "Pan!"
Pan took note of the Saiyan boy, "Hey Cabba."
Cabba sat next to the girl, "Hey, are you feeling alright after that mission?"
"Yeah I'm fine, just a little surprised, that's all," Pan said. "My grandpa told me about his old fights so I knew he died at least twice, but seeing it actually happen was too much for me. Honestly the only real death I experienced prior to this was Piccolo."
"Piccolo? How?" Cabba asked.
"It has to do with The Black Star Dragon Balls, the ones that wished my Grandpa into a kid," Pan said. "If you make a wish on them, you have to get them back on the planet or it'll explode. One of our enemies, Baby, made a wish to restore Planet Tuffle and we weren't able to get the balls back this time, so Earth blew up because of it. Piccolo stayed on Earth because if he died, the Black Star Balls would disappear."
"That's terrible, he couldn't be wished back?" Cabba asked.
Pan shook her head, "If he got wished back, so would the Black Star Balls, he basically sacrificed himself. Papa took it hard since he and Piccolo were really close."
"I'm sorry to hear, at least Gohan can take pride in having known such a selfless man," Cabba said. "But if the Black Star Balls exist in your timeline, is there a chance it could exist in mine?"
"Maybe, I mean it probably doesn't affect you since you don't live on Earth," Pan said.
"Yeah but I would like to warn Master Vegeta," Cabba said. "Still, another set of Dragon Balls, wonder how many that makes?"
"Well there's the ones on Earth, the ones on Namek, the Black Star Balls," Pan said, trying to count. "Uh, does Namek in Universe Six have them?"
"Probably, I'd have to double check with Saunel and Pirina for that," Cabba said. "But there are the Super Dragon Balls. Guess there's a lot of wish potential."
"Super Dragon Balls? What are those like?" Pan asked.
"For one, they're the size of a planet," Cabba said. "And they can grant any wish in existence, apparently there's no limit to them, they even restored seven of the Universes erased in the Tournament of Power, mine include."
"Tell me more about the Tournament of Power," Pan said. "Kind of curious."
"I'll tell you what I know," Cabba said. "After the Universe Six vs. Universe Seven tournament, Grand Zeno wanted another Tournament with the 12 Universes, something your grandfather was really excited about."
"Figures," Pan said, knowing her grandpa's love for fighting. "Go on."
"Even though he wanted all twelve at first, he only ended up using eight since he came up with the idea to erase seven of the lower ranked Universes. Your Universe ended up winning, though I didn't catch the end, my Universe was within the first four erased, some time after that I got restored in Lord Champa's Castle."
"That means you died too, what was it like?" Pan asked. "Everyone I know has died at least once but they don't really talk about it much."
"I didn't just die, I stopped existing," Cabba said. "When the Universes erased, that included Other World."
Pan's eyes widened in shock, "You...stopped existing? That sounds horrible!"
"It was, but thankfully Universe Seven wished to restore the Universes, Master Vegeta kept his promise," Cabba said.
"That's good to hear, Vegeta might be scary and intimidating at times, but he's a good man," Pa said. "Bulla tells me nowadays his tough guy act is really just that, an act."
"Well he still seems pretty powerful since he reached Super Saiyan 4 in your timeline," Cabba said. "Since Caulifla met your Super Saiyan 4 grandpa, she's been aching to reach that level herself. But it sounds like she needs a tail."
"Well maybe she doesn't, she might just need the Blutz waves," Pan said. "We can figure something out for her."
"I'm quite curious myself, I mean I planned to reach Super Saiyan Blue, but having another transformation in my back pocket doesn't sound too bad," Cabba said. "Honestly, I'm also interested in another form your Grandfather took, Ultra Instinct."
"Ultra Instinct huh? I think I heard of that on the Prison Planet," Pan said.
"It's a pretty powerful technique, Goku used it to defeat Caulifla and Kale when they were Kefla, you remember that fusion right?" Cabba asked.
"Oh yeah, with those Potara Earrings," Pan said. "Ultra Instinct, hopefully I can find out more about it."
"Me too, anyway let's get something to eat, I think Supreme Kai of Time had another mission for us soon," Cabba said.
"Yeah, I could use some food," Pan said.
The two made their way over to a nearby kiosk and enjoyed a meal together, talking a bit out their past with each other, mentioning some key moments in their lives, Pan explaining more about Baby and also delving a bit into Super 17 and The Shadow Dragons while Cabba elaborated on the Universe Six vs Universe Seven Tournament and a few details about the Tournament of Power, including his own intense battle against Monna of Universe Four.
Meanwhile In the Z Timeline, Gohan could sense something looming as he mediated in his room, he wasn't sure if it was the still unresolved threat of Goku Black and Frieza, or the uncertainty following his time on the Prison Planet, wondering if he had truly seen the last of Fu and Android 21.
"You look deep in thought," came a voice, that being Android 18, the girl whom Gohan was in love with.
"Yeah, it's..." Gohan turned to Eighteen, seeing that she was not wearing a shirt, or a bra. Boy did he feel weird at the moment, it's not the first time he's seen her less than decent, rare as it was but each time he couldn't help but feel embarrassed, even more so than if he were naked.
"You were saying?" Eighteen asked.
"Right sorry, I didn't expect you to be...you know," Gohan said, gesturing to her chest.
"My shirt got dirty so I went to find another," Eighteen said.
"That I get but where's your bra?" Gohan asked.
"It got itchy," Eighteen said. Gohan couldn't tell if she were being genuine of if she somehow just wanted to mess with him. "It's no big deal right? I mean we've bathed together, think of it as me trusting you.
"Yeah, trust..." Gohan wasn't sure what to make of this, maybe it's his hormones. But seeing her naked and plump breasts threw his mind into a frenzy. "Never mind it, you do whatever's comfortable for you."
"I don't suppose you have a shirt I can use? Chi-Chi's washing our clothes," Eighteen said.
"I wouldn't mind but would a shirt of mine even fit? You're taller than I am," Gohan said.
"You have some roomy looking shirts, I don't think it'll be any trouble," Eighteen said, checking his drawer, the pulling something out. "Aw, how cute."
"Huh?" Gohan turned to see that Eighteen pulled out his yellow qipao from when he was a little kid "Oh, I remember when I used to wear that. I mean it's not exact, it's something Piccolo made for me after my original one got destroyed, that's what happens when you turn Great Ape and lose your clothes, of course mine was gone long before that."
"You had a really rough start to your childhood," Eighteen commented, feeling empathy for the boy. Like Gohan, she and Seventeen had some rough early years, though her circumstances were a bit different than Gohan's.
"Yeah but it's alright, it wasn't too bad, I mean at least I got to make friends with Piccolo," Gohan said. "I made a lot of friends, granted it was mostly my dad's friends"
"Ever wish you could have had a normal childhood though?" Eighteen asked, looking for an opening in the shirt.
"Sometimes, but you're here now, and so is Seventeen," Gohan said. "That led to more interesting things happening, especially that time I accidentally stowed away with Trunks to a different timeline. Glad that happened though, it allowed me and you to become friends, more than that, you're basically my girlfriend, I mean I think you are."
"Let's not use labels right now, I'd still rather you grow up a bit, even if you're very mature now," Eighteen said, having slipped into the Qipao. It felt a little tight and it somewhat exposed her mid-riff, but she liked it. "How do I look?"
"Wow, you look so pretty," Gohan said, blushing a bit.
Eighteen leaned down to kiss Gohan on the nose, "Glad to hear, I expect my boyfriend to always tell me I look good after all."
"What if you don't hypothetically?" Gohan asked.
"I'll put it to you this way, if you ever tell me I don't look good, then you won't be looking good either," Eighteen warned, cracking her knuckles slightly. "Get the picture?"
Gohan nervously gulped, "Yes ma'am."
Eighteen went back to Gohan's drawers, "Let's see what else you have in here."
As Eighteen continued to rummage for more clothes to borrow, Gohan felt a bit weird, like seeing Eighteen in his old qipao made him think of the day he encountered Raditz. For a brief moment, he could swear that day turned out differently, but maybe it's just his imagination.
He heard a knock on his door as Seventeen peeked into the room, "Eighteen, if you're looking for clothes, Chi-Chi finished with the wash."
"I'm good now, Gohan's sharing," Eighteen said.
"Come on sis, just because you act like a guy doesn't mean you gotta dress like one," Seventeen taunted.
The destruction that ensued caused only more headaches for the Son, family, except Goku who got to see an interesting showdown at least.
Later in the Time Nest, the two stood before Chronoa, who had another scroll. "Get ready to fight more Saiyans, this time you'll be going up against Nappa and Vegeta."
"Vegeta? Master Vegeta?" Cabba asked.
"Be warned, this Vegeta is not like the one you know, he's much more ruthless and more willing to do whatever it takes to win," Supreme Kai of Time warned as she opened the portal. "Please be careful out there."
"We got this, right Cabba?" Pan said.
"Sure thing Pan," Cabba said, still feeling a bit off about this upcoming battle.
The two made their way through the portal, landing on the other side. Quickly examining their surroundings, they found themselves in a rocky field, with cliffs everywhere.
"This place reminds me a bit of where I taught Caulifla and Kale how to turn Super Saiyan," Cabba said.
"A baron wasteland, Grandpa's had a few battles in places like this," Pan said, then noticed something in the distance. Vegeta was sitting on a rock, waiting patiently for something, what the two didn't know yet. On the other side were Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan, all of them seem to be talking about something.
"Right, papa's here too, I think this was his first big fight," Pan said.
"Looks like he's joined by Piccolo and that other fellow," Cabba said. "I've seen him once at the Tournament of Power."
"Yeah that's Krillin, Grandpa's best friend," Pan said. "It's weird seeing him bald sometimes, back home he had hair."
"He probably shaves before a fight," Cabba said. "But I don't see a fight, wonder what's going on then"
"Well now, what do we have here?" the two heard. They looked up and spotted Nappa, the bald Saiyan looking down with a confident and cocky grin.
"Gah!" Cabba took a step back, getting into a fighting stance, Pan doing the same thing.
"Hey Vegeta! Looks like we got two new playmates!" Nappa said, getting the attention Vegeta as well as the trio of heroes.
Vegeta looked over, taking note of the duo. He turned to Piccolo and the others, "Is that Kakarot!?"
"Huh? Kakarot?" Cabba asked, little confused. If his memory served him correctly, Kakarot is Goku's Saiyan name.
"That's not Goku," Piccolo said. "I don't even know who either of them are."
"Guess they don't remember us helping them before," Cabba theorized. "Supreme Kai of Time really did fixthe past."
Vegeta used his scouter to check their power, "Whoever they are, they seem strong, power levels about 3000 each."
"Only 3000? That's not as high as mine, but it's impressive for Earthlings," Nappa said. "Are you two here to fight?"
"Y-yeah, we are!" Cabba shouted. "We're here to defeat you and protect this planet!"
"Yeah, your reign of terror ends now!" Pan said.
Krillin turned to Piccolo and Gohan, "I don't suppose either one of you know who they are."
"Never seen them in my life, but if they're here to help, and if their power level is as high as the boss says it is, then maybe it won't be so bad," Piccolo said.
"They look really young though, barely older than me," Gohan pointed out.
"Guess they've been training longer," Krillin said, then called out to them. "Hey you two! Over here!"
Cabba looked back to Krillin, then gestured to Pan for her to follow him, the two flying over to the heroes. Vegeta had begun analyzing Cabba, something about the way he was dressed was very familiar to him.
Upon grouping up with the defenders of Earth, Piccolo had been the first to greet them, "So who are you two? Where did you come from?"
"Were you sent by Kami?" Krillin asked.
"Kami?" Pan recognized the name somehow but couldn't put her finger on it.
"We were sent by someone who knows your friend Goku," Cabba said. "We're here to help you stop those guys."
"Someone who knows Goku?" Krillin asked. "Well that could be anyone, he's traveled all over after all."
"Still, why did they send a couple of kids?" Piccolo asked.
"Uh, he's a kid too," Pan said, gesturing to Gohan.
"He's not like most Earthing children," Piccolo said. "You two seem strong but it still doesn't feel like anything special."
"Hey!" Pan shouted, clearly offended.
"Easy now," Cabba said to his friend, then turned to Piccolo. "I can assure you that I am much stronger than I look, and I am about to prove that right now, as is my friend here." He turned to Nappa, who had just removed his armor, looking ready for a fight. "The two of us will defeat that man right there."
"Bring it," Nappa said, gesturing the two over. "Let's see what you got!"
Pan and Cabba both powered up, surprising Vegeta and Nappa at how much force they were putting off. They both rushed in and kicked Nappa back, causing him to skid across the ground.
"Whoa! That was pretty awesome!" Krillin said.
"Not bad you runts," Nappa said, buffing up. "Not great either, but not bad. Now it's my turn!" Nappa rushed in to attack but Pan had elbowed his stomach, allowing Cabba to knee him under the chin. Nappa seemed dazed for a moment, which allowed Pan and Cabba to punch him in the stomach and knock him further back.
"They've got the early advantage!" Gohan excitedly commented.
"They just gotta keep this up and maybe we'll get out of this in one piece!" Krillin said.
Gohan seemed elated by that idea, then started to feel saddened, "Too bad they didn't get here in time to save Tien, Yamcha and Chiaotzu."
"Yeah it sucks, but we still have the Dragon Balls," Krillin said. "We'll be able to bring back Tien and Yamcha with no problem."
"And Chiaotzu?" Gohan asked.
Krillin shook his head, "Sorry, he's already been wished back by the Dragon Balls before, Shenron won't bring him back twice. I know it's hard to accept but some things are beyond our control, even with Dragon Balls."
"I know, but still..." Gohan seemed very disappointed.
"Don't focus on the negatives, just be grateful you're still alive," Piccolo said. "If those two keep up the pace, then it'll at least stay that way."
Cabba and Pan continued their combined assault against Nappa, knocking the bigger Saiyan back and getting in a combined kick to his face. Vegeta couldn't believe these two unknowns were bringing a fight like this to Nappa, he was now more curious than ever as to who they were, especially the boy.
The two again kicked Nappa back as they began to ready another attack. Cabba readied his hands, "Take this, Gal-"
"Cabba wait!" Pan warned. "Remember who's here!"
The boy was confused for a moment, then looked to Vegeta's direction, figuring out what Pan meant. If he used the Galick Cannon, Vegeta might start making connections. Granted Vegeta never taught him this move, it would still likely make him too suspicious.
"Hey! Don't ignore me punk!" Nappa flew in and kicked Cabba through a nearby cliff.
"You jerk!" Pan began to cup her hands together. "Ka...Me..." Just as quicky as she began charging her attack, she stopped immediately upon realization of something important. "Wait, I can't use this attack in front of the others, they'll get-"
"You're open!" Nappa rushed in to punch Pan in the stomach and then kneed her across the air.
"Oh no! They're starting to lose!" Gohan worriedly exclaimed.
"What's with them? They seem to be hesitating all of a sudden?" Piccolo noticed. "Don't tell me they're getting cold feet now!"
Cabba had pulled himself out of the hole he was sent through, getting ready to get back into the fight, "Gotta be mindful of the techniques I use." He flew in to kick Nappa, but his leg was grabbed and the boy was slammed to the ground a couple of times and then used to whack away an incoming Pan, knocking her toward Vegeta.
Pan struggled to stand, catching a glimpse of Vegeta's smug grin, "Looks like your early advantage has fizzled out like a flame."
"We'll see about that," Pan said, powering up again. She generated power to her hands and sent out a massive Maiden Blast attack toward Nappa, hitting him in the stomach and pushing him back a bit.
However Nappa began to power up a mighty attack of his own and sent out a huge mouth beam at Pan, the girl lucky enough to dodge out the way.
"Hey I think that smaller guy's about to get hit!" Krillin shouted, taking note of the beam heading toward Vegeta. However the Saiyan Prince had easily deflected it, sending it toward the distance in an explosion.
"Whoa! He just deflected it like nothing!" Gohan noticed, somewhat terrified of Vegeta's power.
"Not quite," Piccolo stated, noticing that Vegeta was rubbing his hand as if trying to soothe an ache.
"Watch where you're attacking Nappa!" Vegeta shouted.
"Heh, sorry boss!" Nappa said, finally pushing Pan's attack away and flew in to elbow her back.
Vegeta checked his hand, feeling a bit of a sting, "That attack was stronger than I expected from Nappa, has he gotten stronger?"
Cabba had noticed that Nappa's power level was rising, and getting higher by the second, "Oh no, we gotta move fast!" He powered up as much as his base form could handle without turning and flew in to kick Nappa in the back, giving Pan the opening to punch him in the jaw and then kick him in the face.
The two joined back up and leapt in to attack with a double elbow to Nappa's gut and a double uppercut, followed by a double ki blast.
"What a power burst!" Krillin said. "Strong as that big guy is getting, those two are matching him every second!"
"They just gotta keep it up and he'll finally lose!" Gohan said. "Then we just have that other guy to worry about."
"I bet they can take him too, we might not even need Goku!" Krillin said.
Pan and Cabba continued their beatdown against Nappa, Pan getting her knees in his gut, Cabba elbowing his jaw, Pan kicking his head, Cabba kicking under his chin, Pan back-kicking his stomach, finally the two then punching him back and flying in with a double ki blast to his chest, sending him crashing through a mountain, collapsing it instantly.
"They did it!" Gohan shouted in excitement. "They're so amazing!"
"I'm so glad they're on our side!" Krillin said.
Piccolo didn't seem too confident right now however, he suspected things were about to take a turn for the worst. "It's not over, something's wrong."
"Huh? Wrong how?" Krillin asked.
Suddenly a huge power spike came from Nappa's direction, one felt by everyone, and even tipping off Vegeta's scouter, the Saiyan quickly shutting it off before it exploded.
"What the hell just happened?" Vegeta wondered. "Where is that power coming from?"
Nappa immediately rushed out of the mountain block, colliding his forearms into both Pan and Cabba, knocking the two back across the fields.
"I'm done with you runts!" Nappa shouted, flying over and kicking Pan into the air as he punched Cabba back. He grabbed Pan's ankle and slammed her into Cabba, the two flying toward the trio of Earth Defenders.
Gohan and Krillin were quick to catch Pan and Cabba before they went flying into the rock formation.
"Don't worry, we got you," Krillin said, helping Cabba back onto his feet.
"Thanks, appreciate the help," Cabba said.
"Are you ok Miss?" Gohan asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Pan said. "Also I'm not old enough to be called 'Miss'."
"Guess you aren't, you barely look older than me," Gohan said.
"You two are amazing! Where did you learn to fight like that!?" Krillin asked.
"I learned from my mom and dad," Pan answered, being truthful yet vague.
"I had a really good instructor," Cabba explained, following Pan's example, not tha the fully needed to since they wouldn't know Renso anyway.
"Did you forget about me!?" Nappa shouted, about to attack again. He rushed in to attack, everyone quikly jumping out the way before his attack could land.
"I got this!" Krillin said, generating some power. "Take this, Destructo Disc!"
Krillin threw the attack at Nappa, but in his haste he couldn't aim properly, though the attack did slice Nappa's arm pretty badly, getting blood all over the ground.
"DAMMIT!" Nappa shouted, holding his injury, trying to keep the blood in as he glared death at the monk who did this. "I'll kill you! YOU HEAR ME!" Nappa readied another ki blast, "YOU'RE DEAD!"
Piccolo then blasted Nappa from behind, leaving some scorch marks on the big Saiyan while Gohan flew in and attacked with a kick to Nappa's head, leaving an opening for Pan and Cabba to fly in and hit a double kick to his chest, knocking him into a rock formation.
"I think we got him!" Krillin said, looking very hopefully.
"Don't let your guard down!" Piccolo warned. "Get ready to attack again!"
Nappa blasted out of the rock formation, looking angrier than before, "You little maggots! All you're doing is making me angrier! I was gonna make your deaths quick and easy but now it's gonna hurt like hell!"
"What a brute," Pan said. "Let's hurry up and take this guy down."
"It'd be a hell of a lot easier if...wait," Krillin started looking around. "I think I sense Goku's energy!"
"Dad?" Gohan tried sensing for his energy as well.
"Huh? What's going on? You runts trying to stall or something!?" Nappa shouted.
A confident grin formed on the face of Piccolo, the Namekian also sensing Goku's energy, "It is him! Bastard took long enough to get here."
Vegeta found this talk strange, seeing these low-lives talking about someone who isn't here like if they can sense his presence without a scouter. Using his own, Vegeta could tell someone was coming, "What the hell!?"
"What's up Vegeta!?" Nappa asked.
"I don't know how it's possible but someone is coming, and their power level is nothing to sneeze at!" Vegeta shouted.
"Pfft, I bet it's nothing I can't handle!" Nappa said. "If it is their pal Goku, then let him come, I'll send him back to the afterlife!"
"Just to be safe, make sure you kill all those runts, don't want them ganging up on us, especially those two newcomers!" Vegeta said.
"It won't take long," Nappa said, powering up again. "Even if that traitorous Saiyan comes, I bet I can take all six of them on at once!"
Hours prior, Vegeta would have considered Nappa a fool, but he had to admit that his partner seemed a lot more aggressive this time, and much more powerful. Vegeta had to be careful, last thing he wanted was for Nappa to eventually betray him, though he would expect Nappa not to be that stupid.
"Let's take him down, quick!" Krillin shouted, all six of them rushing in at Nappa, but the big Saiyan was quick to dodge, first knocking Krillin away with a mighty whack. Pan and Cabba tried to elbow him but Nappa had leapt up and blasted the two down with a dual blast.
Gohan tried to attack but Nappa had punched him to the ground, readying another attack. Piccolo attempted to wrap around Nappa with his stretchy arm but the brutish Saiyan had broken free and slammed Piccolo down and stomped on him hard.
"Get away from him you jerk!" Gohan shouted, flying in to attack again, but Nappa had punched him back toward a rock formation.
"It's over runt!" Nappa charged up a mighty ki attack, ready to take down his first oppnent. "DIE!"
"Gohan!" Cabba shouted in worry.
"No! Papa!" Pan shouted on instinct.
Just as Nappa sent out his ki blast, Piccolo rushed in and blocked for Gohan, the attack killing him instantly as the Namekian fell lifeless to the ground.
"Piccolo!" Gohan rushed over to check on his mentor. It was too late, he was gone, died protecting the young boy.
"Idiot, getting in my way," Nappa said.
"No..." Pan looked very distraught, having seen an old friend die again.
"Pan, Cabba," Supreme Kai of Time's voice rang in their heads. "I know it looks sad but this is the proper timeline, Piccolo was suppose to die protecting Gohan."
"Doesn't make this any easier to see," Pan tearfully and said, getting up andready to attack. "I'm done messing around."
Gohan angrily started to power up, glaring furiously at the Saiyan who killed his dear friend and mentor. "I'll make you suffer for this!"
"Nappa! Be careful, that runt's power level is sky rocketing!" Vegeta warned.
"Makes no difference to me!" Nappa shouted. Just as Gohan about to attack, Nappa rushed in and kneed the boy in the face, back into the rock formation, and punched him hard through it, completely crumbling it. "Time to finish the-"
Pan appeared by his side and punched Nappa extremely hard, knocking him away from the boy. While it was quick, Vegeta could have sworn he saw a flash of yellow. "Strange."
Cabba quickly flew over to Pan, not looking too happy with what he saw, "Did you just transform?"
"Just for a second, I doubt either one of them noticed," Pan said.
"But remember what the Supreme Kai of Time told us," Cabba said.
"Cabba, I can handle it," Pan said. "We do what we have to do to win. Plus that bastard's gonna suffer for what he did to Piccolo."
"I know but-" Suddenly the two had to quickly dodge a ki blast from a still angry Nappa.
"You runts are starting to really piss me off," Nappa rushed in to attack again, but Pan dashed in, again doing a one second transformation to knock Nappa into the air, Cabba following suit, doing a half second flash to knock Nappa to the ground below.
"My scouter keeps picking up surges of power," Vegeta commented. "What the hell is going on?"
Pan and Cabba rushed in again and assaulted Nappa from various angles, knocking him around for a loop, downsizing his power and stamina before ending with a vicious double kick that rendered Nappa momentarily motionless.
"Think we got him?" Pan asked.
"Hopefully we didn't do too much damage, there's still the matter of preserving the timeline," Cabba said.
"You two are fine," Chronoa said, getting their attention. "You seem to have weakened Nappa, his added power is probably gone."
Nappa had gotten back onto his feet, still looking furious, "This isn't over, not until I squash you pests!"
Before anything, a new warrior had shown up in the battle riding on the Nimbus Cloud. Pan had immediately recognized the man, as did Cabba.
"Goku! You're here!" Krillin said, having recovered from his attack.
"Oh, so this is Kakarot," Vegeta commented. "It took you long enough to get here, but we're glad you made it nonetheless, the fight were getting dull."
Goku didn't say much, he just looked around observing the battlefield, seeing his downed friends, "Yamcha...Tien...Piccolo."
"There was a fourth one, little runt blew himself up trying to kill me, what a waste," Nappa taunted.
"Chiaotzu too!?" Goku angrily clenched his fists. "And with Piccolo gone, we can't even revive Yamcha or Tien, dammit!"
Gohan slowly recovered from the attack Nappa gave him, albeit barely. "D-daddy?"
"Gohan?" Goku quickly made his way over to his son. "Hang on, I got you buddy."
"Dad...you made it," Gohan weakly stated.
"Easy son, try not to talk too much," Goku said, grabbing a Sensu bean and breaking it in half. "Here you go, eat this, it'll make you feel better."
Gohan did as told and ate the bean, feeling better almost immediately, "Wow! It worked!"
"Hey Krillin, come take the other half," Goku called out to his friend.
"Uh, are you sure about that? You might need it against those guys," Krillin said.
"I'll be fine, just take it," Goku said, his friend obliging and eating the bean. Goku then turned his attention to Pan and Cabba, "I don't know who you two are, but thanks for coming, you kept my son and friend safe."
"Well, we didn't do that great of a job," Pan said, gesturing to Piccolo. Even if it was the correct timeline, she felt some guilt over letting the Namekian die.
"You did your best, that's all I care about," Goku said. "But now, leave the rest to me, I'll take those guys on by myself."
"That's my cue to pull you two out," Chronoa said. "Get far away enough so I can do it without causing any suspicion."
Cabba focused his attention to Goku, bowing to the Saiyan, "We'll leave it to you then."
"You got this, show those two bullies what for gra..." Pan quickly corrected herself. "I mean Goku."
Goku confidently nodded and made his way toward Nappa, the big Saiyan still looking a bit steamed, but slightly interested. "Alright then, show me what you got."
Pan and Cabba quickly flew off, allowing Chronoa to pull them away. Before long they were back in the Time Nest, greeted by the Supreme Kai of Time. "Great work you two, you were able to successfully stop Nappa."
"Thank you Supreme Kai," Cabba said, quickly bowing to her.
"Yeah, thanks," Pan replied, looking a bit saddened. "This job isn't as easy as I thought."
"It is tough I admit, especially with the power boosts your opponents can receive from our enemy's magic," Chronoa said.
Pan shook her head at Chronoa's statement, "I'm not talking about the Power Levels, what I mean is...well..."
"Was it seeing Piccolo die?" Cabba asked, Pan nodding her heading in confirmation. "Makes sense, given what you told me earlier after the fight against Goku's brother."
"Pan, you know you don't have to do this," Chronoa said. "I can get someone else to do this, I have plenty of other potential recruits."
"No, it's fine, I can do this I just..." Pan didn't want to back out so easily, it made her feel weak just thinking about it. "I just need some time to, you know, get tused to it. I mean Papa and Grandpa got used to it, so I think I'll be able to handle it."
"There's no shame in backing out," Chronoa said. "This isn't something you need to get used to."
"She's right Pan," Cabba said. "Even I need a little time away from-"
"Enough!" Pan interrupted. "Don't treat me like a kid! I can handle this! I've had my share of battles, I've seen or heard of friends dying, this really isn't that new to me!"
"But Pan," Cabba tried pleading.
"But nothing, I'm sticking through this, I'm not a weak little girl, I'm the granddaughter of Son Goku, the strongest Man in the 12 Universes! I'm also the daughter of Son Gohan, Earth's Greatest Hero! I can do this! It's in my blood! My Saiyan Blood!"
Cabba could see the determination in her eyes, he could tell Pan had something to prove. Perhaps it was the fact that her father and grandfather are such well rounded warriors that Pan likely feels some pressure to live up to their legacy.
"I'm sorry Pan, I don't mean to underestimate you, I know you're strong, you proved your toughness on the Prison Planet, so I'll have more faith in you," Cabba said.
"I know you're just looking out for me Cabba, I really do appreciate that, and I'm sorry for getting so heated," Pan said, gently stroking Cabba's face. "One reason I want to stay is because, I kind of want to get to know you more, spend time with you."
Cabba blushed slightly, turning his head away, "Well, I appreciate that Pan, as long as I know this is what you want, I'll support you."
"Aw, how sweet," Chronoa said. "Now take it elsewhere, you two are free for the time being, I don't have any more missions for you today."
"Alright, I hope my efforts were to your satisfaction," Cabba said.
"I mean there a few hiccups, like the quick second Super Saiyan Transformation, clever but risky," Chronoa said. "But I think you're both doing a great job so far."
"Your praise is appreciated," Cabba said, then turned to Pan. "Want me to take you home?"
"Yeah, I'd like that," Pan said, lightly kicking her feet. "Maybe we can meet again sometime, outside of the Time Patrols."
"Sure, I'd like that," Pan said.
"I'll open the portal for Pan," Chronoa said, using her skills to summon the link to the GT timeline. "After you drop her off Cabba, come back and I'll help you get home."
"Thank you," Cabba said, then turned to Pan. "Let's go."
Pan nodded and followed Cabba into the portal, Chronoa standing by as she waited for the boy. "Those two have a lot of potential, with enough push they just might be strong enough to bring down Mira and Towa."
"Toki!" Came her pet owl. "Tooo kiii!"
"I haven't forgotten about him, but Pan and Cabba aren't ready for that fight yet," Chronoa said. "But I'm confident in their abilities, and I know they'll be strong enough to defeat the strongest the Demon Realm has to offer."
A great threat was looming in the distance, Mira and Towa were plotting something big, and they were not alone. An entire legion was at the ready, along with their king, the dreaded Mechikabura.
Pan and Cabba will take most of the focus here but there will be occasional stuff with Gohan. May contain intimate scenes, but likely not the best quality, don't expect too much on that end.
