Knuckles and the Chaotix arrived back at their abode to see everything changed and the whole house looking brighter, all the lightbulbs were replaced and walls were 10 shades brighter than before. the floors sparkled with intensity, curtains weren't caked in dust and other random messes, the walls and moldings were taped like they were ready for painting. The house smelled like fresh laundry and cinnamon and what an amazing combo it was, walking into the living room was like a dream. The couch was fixed and standing before them was a brand new TV and stand, Charmy and Mighty hopped over the couch and began bouncing up and down in excitement, finally a comfortable place to sit with new blankets and gaming consoles! Knuckles began to wonder what Soni was up to with all this new stuff caking the house, he had to find where she was at and begin the questions. They all followed Knuckles quietly up the steps and separated to each rooms, they all shouted with excitement except Knuckles. Vector and Mighty began to go nuts over their new nicely cleaned room, new trash cans, new bedding, new curtains and a new rug plus it looked like she put up sound proof foam all over the room. Charmy and Ray's room was very cleaned up with new everything and same with Espio's room along wit Knuckles, although his room had something in it that the others didn't, a sleeping blue hedgehog. Soni was balled up asleep in the corner of Knuckles bed which made Knuckles smile at how sweet she looked, he placed her card back into her purse and told everyone to thank her when she woke up. It was late. Knuckles shut his door and stripped down for the night, he moved himself into bed with Soni and covered the both of them up, that girl was shaking and her skin was freezing cold and now will get warm. Knuckles pulled his blue ball over to him and wrapped around her instantly warming her up, Knuckles quickly fell asleep and couldn't wait to wake up in the morning to thank Soni for all her work.

Morning came and Soni wasn't anywhere to be seen. Where could she have gone? Knuckles stretched and left his room to head downstairs only to be knocked over by everyone else rushing down the stairs, they all ran towards the kitchen and sat at the nice and clean table, they looked like starving animals waiting for a crumb of food to be dropped. What in the world... Oh! Soni was at the helm making food for everyone but, where did she get all the food? The group hasn't gone shopping in months she must of had her friend bring everything to her, smart girl by not leaving the house. Knuckles smiled and continued into the kitchen to get with his lovely blue woman, he really felt like the luckiest man on the planet after all, he scored the hottest celeb in the world and she just happened to be the sweetest woman to ever exist. She basically redid their trashed living environment and gave them unlimited spending and for what? Okay... They did save her from almost dying but Knuckles didn't feel that was worth the expenses she dropped on all of them. Knuckles wrapped his arms around Soni and nuzzled his muzzle into her soft quills and watched her work hard at making everyone's breakfast, she didn't need to do this but maybe it made her feel comfortable to be motherly like this to a crowd. Knuckles wasn't going to argue it though, her food was to die for, each bite made one feel like they were floating to heaven on gentle clouds. She didn't even flinch or hesitate when he touched her, which was weird considering her normal melting into Knuckles arms, he tried to get her attention but she continued her cooking sternly. Maybe she was mad? Knuckles let go of his blue babe and sat down at the table with the others, his mind was racing over what he could have done to make her mad but his thoughts were interrupted by Soni placing a huge plate of food in front of him with a sweet smile. Wait. What? Soni sat next to him and nudged him to eat and enjoy like the others were, she enjoyed her own plate and laughed at Knuckles pure confusion. She calmly mentioned that one should never disturb a cook while they are creating, he wouldn't wanna make her mess up would he?

The group laughed at Knuckles face getting redder than his spines which caused him to snap back with the strong man remark "If anyone wants to laugh i suggest putting up your fists first!" Soni leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, instantly calming him down and causing him to stop and stare at his girl, her love had so much control over him it wasn't funny but any time she was sweet an gentle he only wanted to protect her and keep her to himself, all wrapped in his arms. His strong violet eyes burned with passion that even made Soni blush, she was so in love with him, everyday she's glad she followed her heart and not for another's false advertisement of love. Soni thought about how she's never made it official to Knuckles that they were a thing other than just confessing to each other and kissing, her doe eyes blinked and she blurted out with excitement in her voice that her and Knuckles were officially a couple. Soni then began to feel awkward so she started rambling on and on about her not caring what the public had to say or other celebrities but she eventually quieted down and stopped talking. Everyone thought it was adorable about her shyness and showered her in coos and awwes and then begun congratulating them on a good relationship and hopes it stays strong. The morning carried on as usual and everyone had their fun, they finally showed Soni their band skills which, definitely needed some sharpening but, she offered to help in any way possible to make them better and maybe keep Vector away from the microphone. They laughed and carried on into the night which almost like a switch turned to morning, day in and day out the days flashed by until it was the 14th.

the 14th. Soni dreaded this day but she was also looking forward to being able to put Shadow away and live peacefully with her new friends and family, her nerves were shot and she wallowed in constant fear that something was going to go wrong. Why did it have to be the 14th? It could have been any other day but today. Soni prayed everyone would be on her side for the trial but she didn't wanna fight against those' who were against her. Soni could feel something tightening inside of her, all of her anxiety was gonna cause her to choke. While Soni suffered with this pain Shadow was ready to finally leave his cell and watch as Soni would crack under pressure and only sentence him to a month at most to prison time. Shadow was excited for this day but what he didn't know was how hard he was going to be hit with rejection and Soni giving him hard punishment.
