It was a fair walk through the town to the restaurant Aizen had booked for them, but Gin didn't mind. After all, it meant he got to spend more time with Sousuke. Though he did hope he wouldn't embarrass himself. Again. He'd had quite enough of that for one week, thank you very much. Now, if only his last two remaining braincells cooperated long enough to form one coherent thought around the stupidly attractive man beside him, that would be great. Hopefully his nerves would die down the more he relaxed, too.

"I love coming into town this time of night," Sousuke said, breaking Gin out of his thoughts. "The people, the atmosphere..."

Gin glanced up at him before looking back to the busy street. "Yeah I know what you mean. Ya jus' can't beat those big city vibes."

"Nope," Sousuke smiled. "Well, you might have a chance," he winked at Gin. Which made him blush. Again.

Sousuke chuckled softly at his reaction. "But then again, I'm a little biased. So I'm not sure how fair my assessment is."

"It's fair 'nough," Gin managed, hoping his voice wasn't as shaky as it sounded. At least Gin knew the man liked him anyway. He took that for a good omen and they carried on walking.

Passing street food stalls surrounded by clamouring crowds and people going about their business.

When Sousuke brought them to a halt outside their destination, Gin looked up at the place, red eyes wide with surprise.

"The Imperial Gardens. Here?"

"Here," Sousuke echoed.

Gin was just flabbergasted. The Imperial was the most high end place the Seireitei had to offer. Even The Ritz down on Earth couldn't hold a candle to it.

"I... really?" Gin asked. Just wanting to make sure this wasn't all some sort of joke.

"Indeed,"

"Well then, now I really hope I don' embarrass myself! Specially round all them rich people."

Sousuke chuckled softly. "I'm sure you'll do just fine," he said. His eyes and smile soft. Warming Gin right through. "Now come on, let's get some food."

"Good plan."

Aizen stepped ahead of him and opened the large glass door and him, gesturing for him to go through first. "After you,"

Gin blushed pink again at the act of chivalry, "Thanks."

Gin made to step through into the place, just as Aizen called after him.

"Oh, be careful, there's a glass wall just ahea-"

But the warning came just a second too late and Gin walked straight into said glass wall.
