Chapter 3

Cindy's pov

The Fairies heard the new first – faster than any news could travel in the kingdom. All Cindy knew was a feeling of everlasting, when she intertwined her fingers with Aurora, and had Aurora in her embrace, unaware of a looming conflict that might split the magic kingdom in half.

"But why should you bother with what others think? I put up with that for so long and I have only been really fed up by it. You know me." Elsa said, blushing her long braid to the back of her head from her shoulder. Knowing Elsa, Cindy knew she probably had a lot to say on the subject even though Elsa was not a talkative one.

The days at Elsa's frozen castle up in the north of Arendelle were a time of bliss, and they spent it training Olaf or tending to the reindeers. Cinderella woke up in Aurora,'s embrace and their fingers intertwined. "My love, it's morning." Aurora said in her smoothing voice that would placate the birds to sing to her back. Cinderella whistled back to the birds. The warmth from Aurora's fingers was encouraging, and Aurora smiled back at Cindy. "This would last forever, I know it." Cinderalla whispered to herself.

The sky suddenly darkened and twisted into a dark storm, as they knew it signalled Maleficent's arrival. The wry, cynical Maleficent, who was Aurora's aunt. She never approved of Aurora's marriage to Prince Philip, thinking it a farce for the kingdom.

Aurora's pov

"oh my goodness, Maleficent, my dearest godmother, what brought you here? You could have told us you are coming, and we would have greeted you. How did you find your way to Elsa's castle? Is it cold?" Aurora said all of this adoringly while running down the frozen stairs.

The aura in the castle darkened and the cold winds blew inside the castle. "Aurora, could I be more right, about your marriage to Prince Philip? This castle is quite chilly, and I came from the villainess nest." She said with a mocking laugh. She looked around as if searching for her crows.

They rested in a magnificent alas guest room, and Maleficent said, ' Let me look at you my child, how you have worried about this ordeal, and where is your love, Cinderella, don't' worry I will not hurt her, you people always assume I am here to curse and kill, no for god's sake, I am only here to visit my god child Aurora."

She held Cinderella's face in her hands and held Cindy's chin up into the light so Maleficient could see clearly. "Very beautiful features, and a good heart, although I never care much for this fall in love at first sight thing, I have to say this is a much better match for my sensitive dove Aurora," Maleficient said without a trace of satire. "But I must say – why are princesses so abhorrent to the idea of being alone, like myself, like Princess Elsa."

"God mother, dearest, we are afraid it would hurt Prince Charming and the magical kingdoms would be disappointed in us, in the decision we are making." Cinderella said, but she's not entirely sure what the ramifications would be.

"If you are afraid about everything you may as well do nothing. OF coruse we fairies would support our own Queen Aurora in her pursuit for love, and it's only appropriate, you should feel the same." Maleficent said to the puzzled Cinderella.

"Of course you have a lot more work to do yourself Cinderella, you are still too young, not properly trained to lead a country and support Aurora to be at her aid. You were a lady's maid, and later a princess in the magical kingdoms doing close to nothing, but a nice image for Prince Charming to have in his court, so that people know he married a pauper and sweet wife, and that's how he garnered his recent political power and status, but you have a lot more potential, and if you were to live to it, and be wife to heiress of the fairy heritage, to be at Aurora's side, you have to prepared for a lot more, to be a soldier, to be prepared for wars, to be prepared for gruesome tortures that humans used on us. That's a lot more than what you are used to, Cinderella." Maleficent said very cautiously, as if unwilling to startle Cindy but was trying to make an impact with each word she uttered.

"I understand, but when I am with Aurora, I feel I am up for anything." Cinderella said cheerfully, and Aurora locked eyes with her, and there was a brief moment of silly lovey dovey ness in the air.

"Enough- enough. You always falling in love, you young naïve silly children! I was talking real business with both of you, and you have no idea of the perils you are putting yourself into, when you walked into this political disaster. The more I look at you, the more worried I became," Maleficent exclaimed.

"In that case, turn a blind eye, and use only your third fairy eye to feel. And tell us if the future is bright." Aurora said cheekily.

"and it certainly isn't from the path you are choosing, it is difficult thorny and only rewarding if you fight very hard for each other." Maleficent said worrisomely, "I see – " she paused, "it might be too early to start ruminating on the disastrous aspects of this, but a happy ending certainly will not come easy."
